The stout was excellent I had three. It was so good in fact I had a dream last night where I was trying to race to Flora Hall for a pint, before I had to be picked up to leave for home far away. Unfortunately I did not have my pint. So now Im hoping to go back for one. edit: 20 Dec 2024. came back, had a pint. very happy. also tried the Foeder aged imperial chocolate stout. Delicious! Ok i have to add this: im writing this as i drink the chocolate stout and oh my gosh its so good. its so sweet and thick its incredible. might be my new favourite. Alcohol content is one thing though i could probably drink it on monday and still be tipsy by sunday. Im a lightweight though. its delicious. please try it.

Amazing food & beer and great service. Seriously, the most incredible gourmet entrées and nothing over $26 with a menu that changes regularly. The only downside is that you cant make reservations for less than 20ppl.

Great Ottawa brew pub. Monday night $7 beer, we had the bitter, some delicious interesting food and great atmosphere. Well be back.

Best beer and an even better kitchen

Wow, wow, wow!! The beer here is great! And the food is amazing! I loved the pilsner, tasted like pear juice. I tried the surf and turf, plus the strawberry pie for afters, both of which were by far the best things wed eaten since arriving in Ontario. Delish!! The service was quick. The server was really personable and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was great, ace choice of music and the hall itself was modern and fun. I would 100% go back again. Thank you for having us!

I recently visited Flora Hall Brewing , and while there were some definite highlights, a few aspects left me disappointed. First, lets talk about the beer. The selection is impressive, with a variety of brews to suit different tastes. I particularly enjoyed the Norwegian Kveik Pale Ale it was absolutely delicious and refreshing. The pricing for the beer is reasonable, making it easy to enjoy a few pints without breaking the bank. However, I wasnt a fan of the Macadamia Nut Stout; it had a slight taste of rubbing alcohol, which was off-putting. Where this place really loses me, though, is with the food. I understand that quality often comes with a higher price tag, but $14 for a simple chili dog and another $14 for a basic burger both without even a side of fries seems excessive. The worst offender was the pork belly, which was $21 for four small pieces that felt more like bacon. It s hard not to feel like youre paying more for less, and it leaves a bit of a sour taste when you consider the value for money. Overall, Flora Hall Brewing has great beer but falls short when it comes to their food offerings. If youre just looking for a drink, its worth a visit. But if youre planning to eat, you might want to set your expectations (and your budget) accordingly.

Went here for dinner, and everything was going pretty well until the chicken wings arrived. They were undercooked bloody and red on the inside. Naturally, we called the waiter to inform him, but instead of offering an apology or a solution, he dismissed it by saying, we marinated the chicken and some chicken are just red like that. Without wanting to escalate the issue further, we asked for the wings to be taken away and requested the bill, feeling quite let down. Although they removed the wings from the bill, they didn t acknowledge the issue, which only added to our disappointment. The lack of communication and proper handling of the situation left us with a poor impression, and we ended up losing our appetite. Unfortunately, I cant recommend this place based on tonights experience.This is the first time I ever sent a food back in a restaurant.

An excellent place to have beers with friends in the summer. They have ample seating space inside, as well as outside. I love that the vibe is very casual and relaxed. Their IPAs are excellent.

Both the beer and food were great. Thoughtful plates and a unique selection of beers that were notably cold. My 1 caveat being that there was little to no vibe - not somewhere I would take a group looking for an uplifting experience. Saturday evening at 5PM, let s get some audible tunes going and dim the lights a tad. I know Ottawa is boring but let s push our limitations here

I am very happy that there are vegan options on the menu! Our waiter was helpful in identifying which dishes were vegan. When I went (March 2024), they had a vegan fried chicken (homemade using seitan!), risotto, and mushroom toast. Their menu changes often and Im excited to try more plant-based dishes! Great prices, fast service.

The staff and atmosphere are excellent. However, the three beers I tried were thin, somewhat watery, and lacked depth. Im sure some of their other beers are decent and the cocktail I had was fantastic. The vegan chicken and ragu were surprisingly bland, despite great plating.

I ve had a few really pleasant experiences here. Good service, good beer, and good food. The atmosphere is warm and rustic but clean and thoughtfully designed. I really enjoy the imperial stouts. Their English bitter really nice and easy drinking, great for the summer. For food, I ve only eaten the lamb shank and it was *excellent*. Falling off the bone, and a seriously hearty portion. They could have done a bit more for the side as it was basically just a layer of mashed potatoes, but the meat was flavourful and tender, and bigger than I was expecting, so it kind of balanced out. From others I ve heard mixed reviews about the food and beer, but I ve enjoyed what I ve had so far and would recommend checking it out.

Yet another premier spot in the nation s capital for great beer, outstanding food and a fantastic atmosphere! Owner Dave even read the crowd flipped on a superb playlist while we were there. An amazing experience! Do yourself a favour!

The bitter and oatmeal stout are quite literally the best beer Ive had in my life. Absolute staples - if they ever close I will mourn that loss for an unreasonable amount of time. Food is a little pricey for portion size but delicious - it comes with the territory.

The perogies make no sense. They are three times as good as they would ever need to be. Obviously the cook is a passionate foodie and masterful artist. Every bite..why? How is this possible? Oh god, what if I had never found this place?

Rather cold and bourgeois place. We dont feel welcome. The location is nice, but we dont feel welcomed. The products are rather expensive, but the quality is good. The beers are acceptable, nothing more. It is difficult to find parking.

I really enjoyed the beer and atmosphere. Burgers are tasty, but I would still love to see more variety.

Had the menu specified, I probably would have ordered something else as I was left feeling still hungry. I get the sense that although beautifully presented, the portions are small here.

Went with a couple friends and shared 6 dishes. The chicken wings , duck and sausage dishes were very good. Not a huge beer guy so I had the Italian pilsner which was pretty good. prices are reasonable also.

Tried to make a reservation for 18 people was told they dont take reservations, 3 stars instead of 2 because I wont get a chance to actually try it and Im giving the benefit of a doubt that quality of there product is good. Sad I wont be trying this place.

I m mortified. I had never been to Flora Hall despite living next door, and decided to try it last week with 3 friends (including one visiting from abroad). We came in on a Tuesday evening for dinner and drinks. The food was aesthetically pleasing but inedible. I had the mushroom risotto and the rice was so undercooked it was crunchy. Clearly an instance of a menu conceived to be instagrammable with flavour being an afterthought. (Un)fortunately this wasn t the worst part of our visit. Three of us in our group have worked as servers before, so we are polite, considerate, low maintenance customers. Our server was unbelievably rude, despite our friendliness. She rolled her eyes at my spouse for politely asking for another beer. Flagging her down to order refills took several tries of waving at her while making eye contact only to have her blatantly ignore and walk past us. I understand from experience how hard it is to be busy and juggle several tables, but a simple I ll be with you as soon as I can would ve gone a long way. The cherry on top of the unpleasant and unwelcoming experience came at the end of our visit. My friend gave her a low tip (note: not NO tip) due to the horrible service, to which she looked at the receipt from the machine, ripped it, SMACKED it on the table, and walked away. No thank you, no have a good night, no goodbye. She literally smacked the receipt on the table and walked away from us. And that s how my experience at Flora ended. Needless to say, none of us will be coming back. I absolutely hate leaving a local business such a poor rating, but when I was treated so badly I m left with no choice. Edit to say that the beer was actually great. I think it s fair to highlight the one positive aspect of my experience.

I love everything about this establishment, from its hard working staff with their rye comments to ever changing menu which never fails to impress. The British Ordinary Bitter always calms a bad day!!

Really enjoyed our time here, having a delicious dinner and beer! The food is well priced, for how boujie it comes out looking/tasting. The beer is great and the atmosphere is chill. Will absolutely be coming back here this summer for patio season. Angeliou helped us and was great!

This is one of the popular breweries in the city. The FLORA HALL brews different types of beer that you can taste on the bar before an order and enjoy these drinks. Also, if you really liked it, you can buy cans of beer to take away (they sell at the entrance to the bar). However, this place is not intended for a restaurant audience, as there is a narrow menu list and the dishes with a limited choice. In summary, a great place to spend an evening with friends over a glass of good, cold, tasty, and fresh beer.

The cuisine is excellent. The beef tartare is worth it for the taste and presentation. The Ipa HBC is excellent as well as the North East. The potatoes are also very good and slightly spicy. Dogs are allowed outside but there are only 2 picnic tables.

This is a fun brew pub with a great selection of food and drinks. On my latest visit, I had fried potatoes with dip (tasty), a seasonal mango beer (refreshing), and a soda water. An enjoyable place to come with friends and hang out. Fun fact: PM Trudeau took the President of Chile here in 2022 when the latter visited Ottawa.

Excellent place for drinks and food. A classic brew pub with an excellent array of other alcoholic beverages. Great for first dates and small gatherings, but with enough coordination, can accommodate larger groups. Two bars, one upstairs and one on the main floor. Wheelchair accessible. Small sidewalk patio in the summer time. Food is always changing. Chef Tim and his crew work really hard to provide a wide variety of foods including vegan and vegetarian options. Open at 4pm during the week and 12pm on the weekends, but the bottle room is open all day for beers and other merchandise.

My experience with flora hall is overall not great. I live across the street and have made may attempts to enjoy this venue. Tonight I tried the Taiwanese pork and rice entree. I am happy to report that the broccoli was some of the best broccoli I ve ever tasted. Unfortunately it was nestled in a bowl of salt. The rest of the meal was not edible unless you have an unhealthy passion for sodium chloride. I ve always been disappointed with the the food at flora. Consistently over priced, rarely worth it (exception being anything they actually bbq - including their ribs, which I haven t seen in a long time). Their beer is probably above average but very expensive. Staff is routinely friendly and helpful. It s a beautiful venue with good staff and decent beer. I will pass on the over priced, inadequate food

I had a wonderful afternoon here! I brought some out of town friends to this place to showcase some of Ottawa s finest beer and pub grub and was not disappointed. The beer selection is awesome and the food was very tasty with great prices. I had two pints of the bitter and the meatball sub which I would totally recommend! Our server Kate was super chill and professional. I felt like Kate had our best interest in mind and was happy to show us around the menu and give us time to make up our minds about what we d like to eat and drink. Jay was great as well! All around a great visit! We will definitely be back.

The brewers here really know how to make great tasting classic beers with just the right amount of crafty twist to them. Ive always had great service here, and there is always a friendly atmosphere. I would recommend trying the bohemian pilsner and enjoying a drink on their patio or meeting people up at the bar.

Seated by the hostess for around 20 minutes before a space finally opened up at the bar where we were able to finally order a drink. During that time a group that was seated near us at least 15 minutes after us was served while we remained ignored. Decent beers and fancy looking food dont compensate for unacceptably poor service. Wont be back.

My friend and I went here for a couple of drinks this afternoon. Tried the North East IPA and the bitter. Both were very good. The service was attentive and quite friendly. Will need to try the food next time and a couple of meals that went by us looked really good!

Really delicious food and beer. I had the lamb sausage and a $5 porter, husband had jamaican jerk pork & mac & cheese & a beer and we split the caesar broccolini. It was so good. And we left with a bill less than $100. That never happens anymore. I love this place. Good value and good food & beer and super cool ambiance.

Good experience. The Rabbit was done well and my partner enjoyed her steak. The fried potatoes were ok and we ordered them with the hot sauce on the side but they came with it on the potatoes. As one might expect, a large selection of ales. After ordering the service was a bit slow. Would, however, definitely go again as the mains were very good. Flora Hall has great neighbourhood vibes!

This is a really fun pub with a great selection of craft brews and tasty food! Although I cant get there as often as Id like, Im always impressed with anything Ive tried (the menu changes fairly often) and I love the fun atmosphere as well. Service is always friendly and exceptional (Sara is the best!!) and I always enjoy popping in for a drink and a bite after a long shift at work. One of the best brew pubs in the city, I cant recommend this place enough if youre downtown and looking for a great dinner/drink spot. Cant wait to pop in for a pint again soon!

Favorite date spot, great for discovering new yummy beer and cocktails and their seasonal menu always has great options. For 2 of us we usually order 3-5 dishes to share and we always leave extremely satisfied. I ve been recommending this place to everyone since we started coming here last winter!

Really unique spot for an evening out with friends. We went for drinks and appetizers and were impressed by the quality and prices on the menu. The place has a great atmosphere and ambience for a social night out. I recommend giving it a try if youre looking to entertainment people on any given night.

I had a delightful dining experience! Ended up trying the succulent pork belly in the house Thai curry sauce, which was absolutely scrumptious. I wish they offered a side of rice to soak up that delicious sauce. The house beer selection was impressive, with each one surpassing the last. Dont miss out on the North East IPA; its a must-try!

Went on a friday night around 5:30pm, music was very loud, even after waitress turned it down. Staff was friendly, although we didn t see much of our server. Nice ambiance and view of brewery. Would visit again, maybe at a different time

We came in here for a beer after dinner. This place is right around from City Goose and was perfect. Wide selection of beers, fun atmosphere and everyone was super friendly!

I like this place: beer is good, food is also good. We tried chicken skins as a snack, and it was not a good idea. Probably it is just not for me. Other than that, the food is very good

Beer was great, as always, and the food was absolutely spectacular! My favourite brewery in Ottawa by a mile.

Although you may be drawn to Flora Hall for their beer selection (it is a brewery after all), the food is quite excellent and should not be overlooked. Theyve put their own unique twist on crowd pleasing dishes, like tonights ravioli and samosas - both of which were flavourful and well portioned. The shredded oxtail filling in the ravioli was a highlight, and was complimented beautifully with a lime crema that brought back memories of a Carlota de Limón (Mexican lime icebox cake). The smashed samosa was equally delicious, with its crispy edges, warm Indian spices, and sweet tamarind and mango notes. We had the Belgian Dubbel and Dry hopped sour, both of which were very good. The atmosphere was warm and our server (Duncan) was attentive and gracious. Overall it was a pleasure spending the evening here! Thank you to the entire team.

Great beer!

I want to love this place, I swear I really do! Right up front, I want to state that I think that many of Flora Halls beers rank among Ottawas best. The location is also great for anyone living in Centretown. At least half of the dozen or so times Ive gone to Flora in the last few years we werent able to get a seat and had to go elsewhere. It also seems like my first choice of beers has been consistently out whenever I do get in. I really cant hold these experiences against them, as theyre products of Floras success (and their patrons good taste) - but it does weigh on my decisions when deciding where to go out for the night. Lastly, I recently had the Flora Quarter Pounder burger. Its quality was somewhere between McDonalds and Harveys, and looked pretty sad alone on plate with zero sides offered to accompany it. Awful value for $12, and would urge people to skip it.

I only stopped by to purchase their beer at the front cash but I had a very positive impression of the overall atmosphere of the place. The staff member who filled my order was very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I will definitely stop by here again to enjoy a meal and a drink the next time I am in the area.

Just went to the bottle shop, but their beer is top notch. I ate here maybe 3 years ago and the food was really good too. Highly recommended.

Always an excellent experience

Super unfriendly staff that doesn t want to be there. Menu is overstated and underwhelming. There are better places in Ottawa to spend your $ - this place needs a reality check.

Great food good beer

Though I have been drinking their awesome beer for a while (the Bitter is tops by the way) this was my first time on site. Great locale with great and welcoming staff. Will definitely return in order to pair the ales with the food.

Most delicious meals and very creative menu that never ceases to amaze. So much more than just a local brewery, the place has incredible art everywhere and a variety of different seating areas fo any occasion. Its a work of art in itself.

It is my second visit to Flora Hall and both times have been disappointing. I don t remember what happened the first time but this time was just ugh. I know it s been a rough couple of years for the industry, but the staff is not friendly (the guy at the door was nice and welcoming tough). I was sitting at the bar on the second floor, we were there mainly for food, and took our time with the menu, the lady checked twice on us and was getting frustrated that we didn t know what we wanted to drink (we were not going to), then when we were ready to order food, she said but why don t you order drinks first? Basically pushing us to order, then unsure of what we asked for. Then we asked again if we could order food and she dismissed us again saying she was serving drinks for now (to everyone else). We decided to leave and spend our time and money somewhere else. This is kinda sad because I ve heard good things about your food and drinks.

Great craft beer, excellent dishes a must!

Great beer, but the food was disappointing and overpriced: the burger (16$ without a side) came with a small patty and low-quality grocery bun. As a side, we got fried potatoes (10$): a small portion of undercooked and tepid breakfast potatoes. The beef tartare was well presented and tasted a little bit better but was way too salty. Place has a great atmosphere though. Hope the food quality gets better; some easy fixes could do so much to improve the experience!

The bitter is excellent!

First time since pre-pandemic I had the chance to visit this place, and it was quite the pleasure! I really liked the local beer selection they had, especially the Flora Hall/Lulo Coffee Cascara stout. Higher than average % at 7, but I was amazed at how smooth it was! For food I had the Ya Jerk! crispy wings, which were absolutely divine, highly recommend. Lastly, staff were very friendly and welcoming. I dont remember the name of the man serving us, but I remember he had a tattoo of his cats name, and was a pleasure to interact with, great guy.

Great vibes and great food

I like Flora Hall. Its nice easy drinking beer. The plates are fancy and portions just right. A tad pricey but normal for Centretown. The atmosphere is really cool, theres a patio in the summer, and there are two floors so the place is bigger than it looks like from the outside.

The vibes was good but the menu was a little confusing. Had a good time and Flora Hall has a good atmosphere with a great looking space. Food menu was a little confusing, and some dishes being better then others. But would go again.

Honestly one of my favorite place to just have a couple drinks and relax. Beer is delicious, food is good, atmosphere is great and staff is fantastic. It does get loud (it is a pub after all) but nothing crazy. Fully recommend as a place to hang out and relax with some drinks.

Was here twice last week. Both times everyone enjoyed the drinks and food. Menu is eclectic and has something for everyone. It so keeps changing. The Jerk Chicken wings were really good!! The NE IPA is very different (citrus and hoppy).

The service is absolutely disgusting! we got a seat upstairs and the lady that was serving us was so rude! she just throw the menu on the table and was so rude to us! do not recommend going there

Good environment but not amazing food. Only an Instagram hot spot unfortunately. Beer is on spot and the best part of this place. Ordered the Jerk Sausage had no jerk spice plus the chicken for the Not Nachos was fatty. Heard that they lost their BBQ chef unfortunately .set back for sure. Great local experience. The beer and food are both great and the staff has always been very friendly and personable. The menu does seem to get updates a few times a year, so even more if a reason to go back again and see what s new to the season.

The beer and food are amazing but it is the staff that make the place the best. Sasha at the beer counter was amazing. Continues to be a favourite spot.

Have been here a few times for food (and a few more for just beer) and it is always amazing. Their rotating menus are always so creative and have something for everyone. I also really like their dining area whether you are up or downstairs. If you are looking for a great place for food and beer downtown, or anywhere in Ottawa for that matter, this is the place to try.

7/3/2022 update: food was meh, burger was very bare bones and taste was just average. The beer was okay - ordered the bohemian pilsner. A bit disappointed as i brought a group here based on my previous experience and it didnt live up to my expectations. Great place, food was pretty good, nice atmosphere

Flora Hall is by far the best brewery around with the most amazing food. This place deserves more than 5 stars each and every visit. Highly recommend!

A great brewpub and also restaurant! Enjoyed a few of their beers, went for the gose and the oat pale ale and enjoyed both. Had the bone marrow for dinner and was delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Neighborhood, a term illustrative of residency; of mutual interest; if you re a neighbor, you ve met; you ve exchanged - thoughts or ideals; maybe just random pleasantries. Maybe you went deep; maybe you talked about life goals or just said Let s chill and decide on a good beer! When you arrive at Flora Hall, you arrive via the neighborhood. Maybe you came from Bank St., walking past the rows of locally owned businesses who survived the Pandemic. Maybe you walked past some that were reborn during the pandemic; having harnessed the same creative drive that birthed Flora Hall. It s the kind of ingenuity that saw a 100 + yr old structure from the worn sidewalk of Flora St., and said - this is what the neighborhood needs! The neighborhood needs a Hall . A commune of music enjoying, beer-centric, food-smart, folk who walk in and greet their friends (the staff) with a hand gesture or maybe an exuberant arm movement pointing to their favorite table or chair. Maybe, you came up Flora St.? Past the row of brick-laden Ottawa homes, with their smattering of updated or historical, years gone-by facades. Maybe you saw front porches, with a chair, or weather-worn, upper balconies with windows slightly ajar to let the breeze in. Maybe you saw an Ottawa neighborhood. When you come to Flora Hall you enter and look up at the Scrabble Board menu of on-tap delight. You will almost always find your word score available on tap. On occasion, the neighborhood taps Flora Hall out and you have to pivot. It s OK, though! Plenty of beers to make your word score a points smorgasbord. The Scrabble Board menu always come through! Next, you feel the warm touch of a classy, leather-bound menu to greet your eyes in measure with your pallet. Depending on your visit, you might find yourself in new waters. The menu is not stagnant. It mirrors its Brews-menu neighbor. Often changing to greet the neighborhood upon entry and reward your walk up. If you are a neighbor, this is your proverbial clubhouse. Your walled-sanctum avail d to you each visit and waiting to reward you with head tilting and nodding delight upon each sip or bite. You might ask, like I did, when s that being released or tapped? The answer might dictate your schedule. You might think, damn - I need to make sure I m available that day, for sure. I want to be the first neighbor to sip that libation. To tell Dave - Thanks for seeing a Hall. For seeing a neighborhood. For seeing a place where any and all are welcome to enjoy what sometimes is taken for granted - an excellent meal and a phenomenal brew. You can t get Flora Hall outside the neighborhood. It isn t dispatched in wide swaths or mass-produced. It doesn t go beyond certain boundaries (K1 or K2), yet. It s still, at its heart, a brewery designed to meet the demands of the neighborhood. Beer is always available on tap or in cans at 37 Flora St. You can get it delivered, if you re in the neighborhood.

A craft beer shop in Ottawa. Its a bit far from the center, about a 20 minute walk, but its still worth it. The dish I ordered (steak salad) was average.

Great beer, great food, great service but very slow food unfortunately. Apart from that, its great.

A strong contender for my top 10 brewery in Ottawa, located in a rustic old fire hall, the options on the drink list were very good. Check it out for sure, great location to bar hop down bank street.

Beer was excellent - we had the gose and the sour ale. They were on the pricey side at $8 or $9 each. Food menu was interesting but definitely confusing as other reviewers have mentioned - hard to tell what anything actually was or what format it would come in. We had the Thai Dreams (brisket + dumplings) and the Louisiana on Flora (basically a bowl of mussels and calamari) to share. The sauces for both were very good, but the brisket in the Thai Dreams was super dry - which is weird for brisket. Our server was lovely and friendly. Would probably come back for drinks and maybe a snack, but not dinner. 3.5 stars.

Food, beer, and service were all fantastic! Roasted bone marrow and a couple sour beers after a day of travel was a great way to end the day.

Great atmosphere, staff was lovely and we enjoyed our time there. Food was definitely hit or miss, however. Really loved the deviled eggs, but the raw rich and crispy is written like a ceviche on the menu, but also includes fried shrimp that go super soggy in a coconut water. Pickled strawberries werent actually pickled. It was a huge miss as my dish and thankful my friend shared her eggs with me or I wouldnt have had much to eat. Food service was quite long too so no opportunity to try a different selection. Beer is decent but I dont think Ill be back for food.

Just hosted by client appreciation event last night and OMG did everyone have an amazing time! Everything from the cozy and inviting venue, to professional service and the amazing food and drinks (their IPAs are ) - you guys were AWESOME! Ill be back 100%. Thank you friends.

I live nearby and love this place for the beers / vibe. I wanted to give some feedback for your consideration. I ordered the burger and it was undercooked (medium rare Id say, a bit of blood on the plate with a pink centre). I know that in the U.S. and other places, its expected to order burgers made to order, however I wasnt given an option (the menu doesnt specify that). When I told my server that I wanted a burger well done, they fixed the issue (I appreciate it!) But my server was a bit defensive and explained that since the meat is ground in house, its safe to eat medium rare. The issue I want to raise is the following: Cook your burgers medium rare, no problem! But explain it on the menu so your customers have the option. I would suggest putting made to order on your menu or asking customers what they prefer. There are many people (including myself) who dont enjoy a bloody burger, as much as I love a rare steak. I come here with friends often since its by my house, and I know as a microbrewery youre not necessarily worried about this...but some of my friends are pregnant and cant eat undercooked beef. Now I would tell them not to order the burger. I just want to give feedback to consider since I love this place. Its something to consider to be more inclusive and up front. To reiterate -- great beers! *Edited review: I appreciate Flora Halls response to this. In my initial review I was very kind and downplayed what I felt was sub-par service / lack of understanding from staff about why I felt this was an issue. I rarely write reviews, so it says something that I felt motivated to. I think the 3 stars is more than fair given my experience, however I still plan to return there. I also still tipped very well, as I know that on a busy night things get missed. In my opinion one not great experience isnt worth impacting future visits. But I dont think given my experience and follow up, I have been harsh.

My friend ordered Kombucha I had a sip which is amazing. I ordered appetizer named crispy and raw or something that has lovely presentation however taste not good - I don t like raw scallops it s very weird. Lovely atmosphere my friend and I spent great time over there.

Lively atmosphere perfect for a late night snack. Tacos and soft shell crab were beautiful and tasty. Mosaic DDH was bright and delicious. Definitely worth another visit.

Flora hall is great for so many reasons - good beer, great atmosphere, support local. Would recommend checking it out! I went for a beer one week and saw the carrot cake on their menu and couldnt stop thinking about it(everything on the menu sounds great by the way). I went back and got it, and my only critique is that the carrot cake was actually a carrot loaf. A little disappointing only due to the wording of the menu, still tasted great though

I had the pleasure of sampling their beer last night at the Purple Tie Gala in support of Cornerstone housing for women. The had the bitter and the IPA which were both delicious. I am so impressed by their generosity at the event and I will plan to visit their location soon.

Best beer in Ottawa but please ditch the fall menu. Its absolutely terrible. Had the crab parm and I couldnt eat it. The food here is usually delicious. Fall menu HAS to go.

The Staff know what theyre talking about when it comes flavor. The Beer and Ciders are fantastic, the food is unbelievablely good. The atmosphere is very welcoming as well. Also the Music was fantastic

What an awesome spot (we went Dec 10th at around 3pm). We didnt get the name of our server but he was lovely! He gave us recommendations on food and drinks (great ones at that!). The ambiance, music, drinks and food were on point. I recommend the Flora burger. I shared with my husband and we couldnt stop talking about how good it was on the way home. So to whoever served us ( darker hair in a ponytail, wearing a beanie and jeans, had a moustache) thank you! You were awesome and we will be back!! :D

Beer: The beer was good. I do wish they had a dark lager, but they have a good variety nonetheless and dark lagers are quite rare. So 5 out of 5. Food: The menu is odd and one might say, not really beer food. The flavours of the food were pretty spot on, and the serving size as well. The burger my friend ordered looked like a McDonalds burger, but the calamari, fancy nuggets and scalloped potatoes were pretty good! Not sure if the kitchen simply doesnt have a deep fryer, but some fried foods are generally appreciated with a glass or two of beer. Due to the burger and the struggle to find a solid beer food item, I rank a 3 out of 5. Service: The servers were great, responsive and quick. They may not have been the most knowledgeable about what the dishes consisted of, but they were quick to gather the information from the kitchen. Unfortunately, it took sooo long to get food. The place wasnt busy and it took 30 minutes to get a couple of dishes, and when we ordered round two, it took another 30 minutes. I dont expect fast food speeds, but 30 minutes (twice!) is too long. 3 out of 5. I would like to return since its in my neighbourhood, but the odd menu and the speed of the food, and some of the quality of it, are what hold me back. Ill probably just visit for a few beers sans food. I hear their summer smoked ribs are good, so perhaps Ill give those a try in 2022.
