Received food poisoning from this place...

I have never had such poor table service. When the boss boy does a better job than the waitress.... She serves everyone around the clock but not us. I had my glass of water at the end of the meal. Plus, I didnt even have time to finish eating, I had to pay for my food. I have seen better services than this. Too bad because I tend to praise places where Ive had excellent service. But not this time.

Im just commenting on the drive-thru/ take-out. The food is always good, but there are often mistakes with take-out. Then you get home to find out the order isnt right. Weve started opening the meals before we even leave the restaurant. They will give a credit though if you call them.

Hadnt been to St Hubert in awhile. Very disappointed in food quality. Chicken was over cooked with too much batter. Fries were mediocre. Highlight was the coleslaw. After my complaint to your restaurant I was contacted by management at head office. It was agreed that I would get a free meal at the same restaurant for me and my friend. I decided to go on Sunday October 27th. Was welcomed by Mike (manager). Got the royal treatment and food was delicious Bernie Carroll Ottawa I

Atmosphere a little outdated, service was great. Were there for lunch, had the grilled chicken need more on the wrap. There were no tomatoes, cucumbers etc. Just chicken, mayo and lettuce. Could have made that myself and saved $20.

Food was amazing, drinks were great, a little pricey for what you get, a little dated in there, bathrooms were ok, service was good. You always get the feeling it s cleaned but not thoroughly , tables are good but floor and seats not so cleaned.

$103 with tip for two kids and an adult, no alcohol, only two $4 shot Glasses of fountain pop and no offer of refills, really!? Very poor value for the price paid, one kid ordered the 4 filet meal, the other a poutine, only to find out there was bbq sauce in the poutine not gravy and it was like a soup we mentioned it to the server that we were not expecting bbq sauce in a poutine and the kid did not like it, she simply said that s how it is and didn t offer something else or any type of credit. The other kid did ok on the tenders but didn t finish them. I ordered a breast meal which was ok. The chicken was dry and it came with french fries and a bun, that s it, for $21. Then it took almost 40 minutes to get the two kids deserts and our bill. We used to really like going to st Hubert but now I doubt I ll be back, at those prices for what you get I could have taken the kids out elsewhere twice and they we would have enjoyed it more.

Worst service ever. Orders from people that were seated after us were taken, and another table that also came after us was served before us ... And our waitresse forgot to order our nachos and claim there is green pepper and chicken in the French oignon soup, which is why she got confused !!! In my St-Hub salad, the chicken had pieces of cartilage still attached to it. When our nachos arrived, there was an overwhelming amount of sauce on it. When we needed it, we were never offered either a refill of water nor cole slaw. She offered water when the meal was over ! I used to love St-Hubert, but the service is REALLY bad.

Ive been to this place twice now, and its nothing to boast about. Its your average swiss chalet, except french. But last night - Rememberance Day- I took my family out to dinner. My husband is a veteran and has fought in Afgan. So I wanted an easy night for him. We go inside and see the hostess isnt wearing a poppy! Nobody working there is except ONE waitress. No one seating is either.. that left a very very sour taste in my mouth. No respect for veterans and what that day means to many people.

Our server Brady was what made our experience amazing. While I wish I had ordered what my kid ordered, (St. Burger - soooo good), but it didnt matter because Brady made my dinner even better! I had originally ordered the St. Hub Bowl, but found it bleh. The chicken was good, flavourful and moist, but the remainder of the bowl was lacking flavour... UNTIL!!!!! Brady spawns in with some tikka masala sauce and made it ten times better! Brady for the win!! We could also hear him having fun with a larger party of older females in the corner. He really is able to read his customers and give them the experience they are looking for. 5+ stars for Brady!

Food was sub par. Old fries on our plates. They have changed gravy from what I remember. Tasted,bland. Ribs were good. Pricey glass of beer. I always preferred St Huberts over Swiss Chalet. Thats changed.

My kids meal portions was slightly smaller than mine which cost twice as much. Taste was ok & the special sauce was blah. Only saving grace was the service. Dietary restrictions: Had nut free options which was great. Kid-friendliness: Crayons and sheets. Kids meals also come in a fun car box.

The 2-star rating is NOT reflective of the staff but of the quality of the food and the price. The staff was super friendly and attentive to the toddler with us. The cost was $95 (18% tip is included in this amount) for 2 adults and a toddler - way too high and does not reflect the quality of the food. (Complaint #1) My Chicken parm was served with penne (which I found strange) - the penne was cold, barely warmer than room temperature; when I mentioned it to the server, she said that this happens a lot with the Chicken Parm....so why dont they warm up the plate so that the pasta stays hot??? (Complaint #2) The chicken brochette was not on the regular menu but appeared on the paper placement - my wife ordered it and we later realized that is was almost $30 - it was good, but you can get the same from Greek take-out for like $14.99. Oh, and the menu said there were 4 sauce options so my wife ordered the piri-piri - we later discovered that the sauce cost an extra $2.49 which was not stated on the menu. (Complaint #3) The cola was $4.20 - again, way too expensive for a family restaurant. (Complaint #4) it took forever to get the 2 adult meals. We will not go back for a very long time despite having a really nice host and server. Kid-friendliness: They were very attentive to the 2-year-old and brought him his meal very quickly to keep him occupied.

Resisted this place for so long as I was a Swiss Chalet guy. Not anymore! This place rocks. Such good food. This is my go-to now over The Swiss anyday.

We waited for over 45 minutes for the food, got poutin,shrimp,chicken and 2 burgers. Both burgers had almost to no sauce on them, poutin didnt even have gravy on it, shrimp was barely cooked. Food

Hi, can I please have two (2) kids meals? The zoo for both please. (dialogue about drinks ensues) .. any thing else? yes, could I please have a St Huberts poutine and water with that? Wait for 10 minutes. Pay for what was supposed to be 2 kids meals and a poutine with a water. Wait another 5 minutes for order to complete, watching the line behind us grow. Receive two sealed boxes and a bag .. then it dawned on me ... they screwed up our order and to have it resolved would take at least another 5-10 minutes and would not be fair to all the hungry people behind us. To top it off ... they did not give me a fork for my poutine. How did St Huberts know that I prefer to eat my scalding hot poutine with my fingers? Good thing their food is very tasty, otherwise I could not see myself going back any time soon.

People who answer phones act like it s a problem to take your order a sigh well taking my order on the phone. Than mess up the simplest order. Very simple order.. when they answer the phone you almost feel like a burden. To place the order.

I wish there was a zero star choice but there isn t I was there with two kids and two adults Server was rude and I understand she had a party but there was no need to be rude and rush speaking to us she got an order wrong. Three out of the plates weren t good at all 25 dollar for a chicken parm that wasn t even filling as the chicken was very small the club burger was over cooked and fries were ice cold. A chicken ceaser salad chicken was so dry they didn t even eat the chicken. 92 dollars for a meal that wasn t good at all that we had to stop at a fast food place to get more food plus didn t want to tip but felt watched when paying hope things would change there .

Barside Server (Jacqueline?) was very good & and professionally friendly! Cant beat the coleslaw & chicken meal was good. Resto a bit dated. Always St. Hubert before Swiss Chalet!

Brutal service for pickup. Ordered online at 6pm, wasn t ready till 645, which I could handle, but it was the 2 young females behind the counter talking loudly about their personal lives, on their phones finally noticed me again and went to get my food which had prob been sitting for a bit. I ll find chicken somewhere else from now on

Hello, Just a comment - I was really disappointed to see the signage on the washrooms in your restaurant - the mens washroom chicken sign wears a crown and the womens chicken sign wears an apron. This is extremely disparaging and sexist. I would like to understand why this is how your restaurant has chosen to distinguish between the mens and womens restrooms. Please do better.

Perfectly cooked chicken!

I had the full rack of ribs and they were amazing, family members had the chicken and the chicken wrap and it was done to perfection. I also had the 7oz steak to go and it was ok.. not complaining but Im also not very impressed.. it was good!

Went there to have a nice relaxing meal and good service . Apparently my waitress had a huge party she was serving. I saw the waitress once , that was for taking my order . I could have used a water refill , and had to ask another waitress for the bill . Our so called server came over after I had asked for a manager to clean the table , saying nothing to me . The manager / team leader waited until I paid the bill to come and see me . I saw alot of lip service with this Team lead . Not even a coupon for my next visit . This is the absolute worst service I have ever been given . If they were too busy to serve me they should have said so .

The service is good but to see the waitress looks like we have a time limit for eating and what about the cook who shouts at his employee at your head, dont be embarrassed.

16$ for a poutine it was the worst poutine I ever had .cheese was all on top and ok I approve of the sauce on the side but the size was way too much probably need only a third of it and the cheese was all stuck together on top of the fries .I know it s delivery but at that price I expect much more

This review is about St-Hubert take out. We have ordering meals from St-Hubert for years now and the food has been delicious. However things have changed. The last three orders have been very unpleasant. Order mixed up, missing items and, food below average. Last night was the worse. We ordered three different meals. My wife was satisfied with her order of ribs. However for my daughter and myself things were different. The chicken brochettes were bad. The meat was hard and dry and accompanying Caesar salad was brown (way pass it freshness date). My daughter, who had ordered the 1/4 chicken, the meat turned out to be also hard and dry. As far as the french fries, they were almost rock solid (very strange). It hard to understand how a restaurant specializing in serving chicken cannot do better. At this point, It is very hard for me to recommend this St-Hubert.

Continuously out of mashed potato s .I didn t realize we had a potato shortage ! Maybe they should revisit and revise the prepping specifications in order to meet demand and keep customers happy but that s just a thought

Went for lunch with we has the hot chicken sandwich. I had fries and she has mashed potatoes. Absolutely wonderful meal with soft drinks and dessert. Only complaint is that my friends Brownie was dry. Otherwise it was a great time had by all. Thanks for the great service Mike. Looking forward to going back again really soon.

You all need to work on your drive through. Second time now im the only one in the drivethrough sitting by the speaker and not a word from any of the staff... 15 min go by sitting idle, I just drove out of there. If you cant operate a drivethrough effeciently then close it down. Ill take my business elsewhere.

Food is very good and always fresh. Good portions but on take out, sometimes a side dish of mash potatoes can be of better proportion compared to fries. Above all this rotisserie is a tough competitor to other chicken outlets.

Takeout from the drive through was absolutely ridiculous. Ordering was a nightmare, the girl taking our order couldnt be bothered to listen to us, even after repeating ourselves several times. Couldnt answer basic questions about the food. With 1 car infront of us, we waiting well over 30 minutes to get our food. When looking at the recipt we notices a drink we never ordered, so we got cash in return, and the girl at the window preceeded to give us someone elses order as well, which we didnt accept. Someone needs to train the staff better. I wont be back to this location again.

Drive through worker was impatient, was not willing answer any questions. Repeated my order 3 times and still got it wrong. The best part was there was only one other car in the line and took them 30 min to get the order out. Such a disappointing experience....

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT PICK UP COUNTER! Thursday April 20, 2023! 7:25 pm Terrible experience at the pick up counter they just look at you when you walk in and don t say anything I had to say hello three times before one of the girls acknowledged me! When my oder was ready , my food was literally dumped on the counter, and was not told my order was ready, while I was just sitting in the chair! I had to ask the girl if that was my order, and if it was complete and ready to go, very, very poor attitude, unfortunately, I will not be going back to this location, you have lost a valuable member of the community and a long time customer! There were two African-American girls, one was nice and polite, the other one was shorter, very rude, and not a great asset to the company! I m sure you can check your cameras to figure out who it was Very poor customer service! I hope you guys can get your stuff together, this was my favourite location, but not anymore Good luck

This restaurant has gotten really expensive over the last few years. I always take out, I take the surprise box and kids meal. Its always good. Sometimes the gravy is very runny, dont go late at night, they are so slow in the drive thru, dont be in a rush!

So full, so much food. Excellent service and the food was great. I had the French Onion Soup, Original Coleslaw, Piri Piri Chicken Breast with mashed Potatoes, and Millefeuille for dessert. My husband had the Creamy Coleslaw, Garden Salad, Chicken Fingers & Fries and the Pudding Chaumer. We needed to be rolled out as we were so full! Had to go for a walk to help with the gluten and sugar belly and quickly take our Apple Cider Vinegar!

Food took FOREVER to get here, it was cold and soggy, slaw was lukewarm. DISGUSTING. Thanks for making mothers day memorable

Food was good (hot chicken) but music kind of obnoxious. And then the server tried to sell me a $2 scratch-and-win card which I found very odd.

Good food and the service (waitress) was very good, but the kitchen was very slow, although the restaurant was not very busy. Dont be in a hurry.

Been awhile since Ive been there, however every time I visit Ottawa its on my list of restaurants to visit because the food is absolutely amazing. While the service at times can be a little slow to be honest, since they are always busy., if you go in expecting to wait and are not super hungry then you wont be disappointed once the food comes. They have appetizers to tie you over before you get your main course and the menu offer something for everyone which is always a good thing. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anybody who is looking for a great meal, I have never been disappointed. If Im not mistaken they also take reservations.

Ce restaurant situé sur la St. Laurent, Ottawa, a vraiment besoin d un facelift et un bon nettoyage. La nourriture est toujours très bonne mais les clients ne veulent pas voir les marques de graisse qui coulent sur la porte de la cuisine. J ai été très déçue - contrairement à ce que je me souviens, le restaurant n est pas du tout attrayant.

Was looking forward to this as I dont have it often. Ordered the st hubert poutine which says comes with crispy chicken fillet. NO chicken whatsoever!! Had it different location before and had it and mentioned it on this menu. Fully disappointed. Learnt my lesson with st-laurent location

I ordered from this place and again, items were missing. And the food is cold. I called the restaurant and spoke with a guy (manager ?) and it didnt seem like he really cared. So I paid $42 for cold food and a tiny stale brownie with no chocolate sauce. Too bad Swiss Chalet doesnt deliver to my address. No more from this place. Ill drive to Swiss Chalet next time. 1/10.

Went here for lunch today. Its been many years since Ive been to a St. Hubert, but had good memories of it from when I was a kid, so wanted to check it out. Either I didnt care what I ate as a kid, or the food has gone way downhill. Chicken so dry I had trouble swallowing it without water, fries that are substantially worse than supermarket oven fries and soup so flavourless that I had to add salt to it. Service was mediocre. Server brought wrong items to the table at least five times during the visit. The condition of the restaurant was also terrible. We sat in the bar area, and the floor was so sticky that you could hear the cracking noise when you lifted your feet. The bathrooms were also filthy. Swiss Chalet is infinitely better. So is a supermarket rotisserie chicken. I would not go here again.

The food was delicious! In Toronto, the 3 St-Hubert closed long time ago . I was so surprised and happy to find one in Ottawa! Love it!!!

They have a ramp on the right side beside the entrance, inside there are 2 washrooms for wheelchair/walkers. My mother, her sister Valerie and I sat at a round table. The waitress took our order and was back in 10 minutes with our plates of food. We all liked what we ordered.

Very pleased with my visit here. Even though my chicken pot pie wasnt on the menu, the cook made me a fresh one, that was delicious. Best creamy coleslaw Ive had in a long time. Went there with my family including my 11 year old son. A grumpy waitress told us we could not sit in the bar section, something Weve done many times in the past. She tried to sit us in the cafeteria-looking section, between a screaming child and crying baby. We didnt stay.

St Hubert has come a long way, its a high class restaurantniw. Still has the traditional rotisserie chicken, but I had the ribs, fall off the bone delish. Lots of other choices, Indian flvours, and Piri Piri spice, even fish and chips. Get the traditional cole slaw. Great dessert choices, try the Wild Blueberry upsidedown cake, I loved it. Ill go back anytime.

atmosphere is depressing. this was my fave place as a kid and now i thought to bring my own son and the waitress was EXTREMELY rude , rolled her eyes at us, gave us an attitude and didnt care to serve us. she was a much older lady with grey hair maybe. either shes racist or just hates her job , food was amazing but we went a while ago so not sure if thats still the case now.

Happy hour menu isnt a happy hour menu its a joke. The cesar salad was the worst i ever had. Bad after taste. Cheap bacon bits and croutons. Coleslaw is not the same as before. The piri priri burger was way to saucey and served cold. We ordered whote wine and it was room temp. I will never return

Went for a late dinner on a Sunday. I ordered this fun poutine that was delicious. The service was fast and the atmosphere was cozy. Our lovely waitress Tenzen made our dinning experience even better. Dietary restrictions: Theres a gluten free menu and plenty of vegetarian options

Went to my favorite St-Huberts tonight. Been a while the bartender remembers me for my food orders. Unfortunately she had to leave family emergency. So had a different waitress the service was great but the good was look warm the advertiser mozzarella sticks are usually hot. They werent. The meal I ordered half a chicken and potatoes were warm not hot. Usually I like to take the skin off to let it cool, but I was able to stick my finger on it no feeling of heat. I showed and displayed to the waitress. She took my plate in the back to heat it. Came out still cold she said she microwaved it. I was think is it broken still not hot and now my chicken is a wee bit dry. Im very disappointed with this trip here. I traveled 298km to come to my favorite restaurant in the past. To get luke-warm food. Not even hot food. Its like if you were to boil water to make hot chocolate you need it hot to mix right. I paid 90 dollars for 2 not even warm meals. Im very disappointed in this location dont even know if I want to ever go back. I dont even know what to say order chicken here go to mcdees across the road for a hot side dish. Go home and re heat it.

You must read this review before placing order at this location........I place a order for a club sandwich brun meat with a coleslaw got charge for the meal they said it would cost me 17 $ and when I place the order the girl on the phone hung up on me rudely and when the order arrived the bill was 21.19$ and no extra coleslaw and the meal was cold fries and all ........wow that is a service .....think twice before placing order at st Laurent ottawa and when we ask to talk to the manager she was to busy to take the call and I order another club sandwich to replace the club sandwich that is cold she wish to charge me another 21.19$ ........ WOW this restaurant do not care about customer.........and repeat customer at that.......the club arrived at 9:21 pm I ad paid the full bill ....now I give back the cold lunch to the driver of st Hubert and he did not give back a lunch so we lost 21.19$ (23$ with tips ) and did not get a lunch at all and no refund ......wow should you call for your lunch from st Hubert B.B.Q st Laurent blvd Ottawa ? Ask your self that question.....I got stiff from this location .......wow that is a experience to remember for sure.....that night will always stay in my mind st Hubert kept my money and never served me fully aware of it that is how the manager of this location fixe the issue. Never again, had reservation at 5 for 12 people 7pm the whole table got their food cold. And I was told would be another 30 minutes for my plate. I cancelled my order. What is the most fustrating, was other table was getting their food, and the drive thrue.

We had a lovely meal. Sangria was awesome. All our meals were very hot and perfect St Hubert. Two young men (one his second day on the job) welcomed us with friendly smiles when we came in and it was very welcoming. Our server was efficient, helpful and friendly in a nice way. There were 4 of us and all agreed it was all good. . St Hubert didn t disappoint.

Hi rely enjoy the food at Harveys always very good

Had hot chicken sandwich. My white meat was cut in cubes? Im not 5! Definitely less portions. Fries and gravy and service was great!

Phoned at 6pm and was informed that they are not making potatoes

Very unhappy right now after having waited nearly 2 hours and not receiving my order. Not sure I will order from st-hubert again. Order Number 20231201 0045020

Food wasnt bad, except for the normal cold French Fries. The biggest issue when you order from this place is you never get the pop you have paid for and have to call them to tell them. This time it took over an hour to get it and that includes having to call them three times. They first sent it to an address that hasnt been used in five years. Ever after telling the woman on the phone the address. Then getting a call from the delivery driver at the old address and having to tell him the correct address. That driver that called didnt even have the correct order. Then having to call the restaurant again to still find out they had the wrong address. They dropped one number off the address. Finally got the rest of my order over an hour later.

Im a retired dual Canadian/ US citizen who recently retired to Ottawa. Love it here. Anyhow, Id read about St-Hubert and was super pumped to see rib pieces. Theres a chain in the US called Famous Daves that has an amazing dish called rib tips. I thought the 2 might be similar. Alas they were OUT of rib pieces . So I tried the regular ribs. They were good, but not spectacular. I do plan on returning and hopefully getting the rib pieces . The service was great and the sangria was first class.

Not sure how the service from our server Adrienne could be so disappointing when the restaurant had so few customers at the time. The fries were ice cold and parts of the meal that were ordered did not arrive until we complained and it brought to the table as a take home. Entire bad experience could have been saved with just a bit effort when the bill was presented. Such an over priced - poor quality meal.

Food dont seem or taste the old same. Overly processed. Waiters r still kind..prices still fare. Just food no longer the same. Cheers to cream coleslaw.

Still my favourite chicken but either Im getting Biggar or the chickens are getting smaller. Seemed like 3 bites. Food

It was a very good, big plate of food. We have our supper for tomorrow night. Yay, I dont have to cook.

I went to dinner for my Fathers birthday and everything was great. James was amazing with the whole family, despite being a bit more demanding. My family is quite large, and James was very patient with 3 young energetic boys being loud as young boys are. Had a lovely meal, and the service was superb.

It was our go to place before the pandemic. Now its over priced :-( more than 4$ for a coke! 75$ for a kids meal and 2 adult with burger and chicken legs; just one coke. The restaurant used to be full not its barely 1/3 full.

We like this place... Easy to get to, simple good food. Srvc was slow, but, that is the case everywhere. We make this trip at lest every nov11th. Food

Not only this last order, but the last 4 orders (about 1 year span) has all been a disappointment. Cold, soggy fries, hard buns, hard chicken, chicken doesnt taste like it use to AT ALL. Quality of chicken and flavor is not what it use to be. And one of my last orders when I called was terrible customer service and decided to go out of our way to order in orleans. Very disappointed as this is one of my favorite restaurants since my childhood. I can understand it may happen but I have not been satisfied in a while.

We had a negative dine in experience a little while ago althougg the manager who responded to us totally renewed our view of this location.Really made up for our previous experience ... changed to 5 star from 1 thanks again..

Delicious chicken, filling desserts, decent value and friendly, welcoming service set in a cozy atmosphere. Recommended for sit down chicken and fixings. Better than Swiss Chalet (sorry folks) even though they are all bought out by the same corporation. Food

The food was cooked and hot however its wasnt crispy like a rotisserie chicken and fries should be.

I always use the drive thru. There often seems to be items missing from my order.

Chicken was sooo good. Not fibrous like cardboard like Swiss Chalet, it was just amazingly tender. Didnt even have to chew it.

Chicken was good,but poutine cold and chicken warm.
