Huge portion, great selections of dishes, fresh ingredients, takeouts ready in 15 mins. The Cantonese Chow Mein has 9 different types of vegetables and 3 different types of meat. What more can I ask for? 100% recommend!

Best egg foo young Ive had anywhere in Ottawa. The gravy that accompanied it was superb. The lady there is always very nice and quick.

My favourite place for Chinese take out, definitely a hidden gem! The food is always delicious, i live 20 minutes away but dont mind driving to pick it up since i enjoy it so much.

I have ordered here many times. The portions are generous. The eggrolls are delicious, All the food is delicious.

I was in the South End on New Years Day. Ordered from here using their Menu.ca page. What a smooth process! The order was expertly packed in a solid paper bag where they had brilliantly put a piece of corrugated cardboard on the bottom. Could have shipped it cross country like that! - It was so hot and tasty. Very impressed! Egg rolls, chicken balls, chicken fried rice, chicken chow mein, and very very tasty won ton soup. If you order some Chinese pancakes, you can use them to make delicious wraps, like a pita. I only wish they could deliver to my place in Nepean. This place is really worth your while. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes that traditional Americanized Chinese Food.

Weve been ordering our food with them for years. But the same delivery guy is very rude. It seems he does not want to do his job. He took the payment and slammed our screen door so loud. He is getting worse I dont know why his like that. Called the restaurant the manager said she will talk to the delivery guy and advised to just pick up the food next time.

Tasted delicious, delivered hot and havent had this good from an Ottawa take out in a very long time. Treat yourself you wont be disappointed! This restaurant will be my go to Chinese Food Take Out for now on! Egg Rolls cooked to perfection along with chicken balls, garlic spare ribs and mushroom egg foo young, chicken chiw mein with generous proportions of each, well worth my dollars next time! Thankyou

Normally get the combination platter when i go. Im not from ottawa but this is the best chinese place ive ever had. Never a bland or badly cooked item. Portion sizes are also really good.

Food is SO much better than the look of the store.

I ordered the Moo She Pork and Moo She Chicken. The menu said it came with Chinese Pancakes, but they sent me tortilla wraps. After a conversation with the Manager, she said they were Chinese pancakes!! Clearly they werent!! The point is: dont trust what they say theyre giving you!!

Its the closest to my hotel. If you are super hungry and you need something quick, Hongkong Chinese Food Takeout maybe the answer.

One of the best Chinese food takeout places Ive tried. The food is always hot, fresh and tasty. Ive done delivery and pickup, and I was happy with both services. Highly recommend and the chicken fried rice is the best Ive ever had.

Ordered take out while staying at the hotel next door, I was expecting a ok experience. To my suprise it was a good experience when it comes to chinese take out. The food was not over salted unlike some franchised Chinese takeout. If ever around the area and you need a quick fix for carbs and sugar, why not Hong Kong Chinese Food Take Out?

By far the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The food had little flavor and was cold even though I ordered and picked up in 15 minutes. The sweet and sour sauce was cold and congealed that you could not even put the sauce on anything. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Our local Chinese food take out go to. Chinese efficiency when ordering! We had a party and ordered 48 rolls (open ended + closed ended). Plum sauce was great. Egg rolls were a hit. Never been disappointed with our many orders from here over the years.

Slimy, bland and disappointing plus we found a hair in our short ribs. Had to throw out a combination meal and the beef and noodles because of how nasty and slimey everything was. Waste of money

Today the lemon chicken didnt look done. I have never seen this before and looks totally off. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Really bad unfortunately:( Like we could have made way better food. There was peanut butter smeared on our dumplings to give you an idea... I hate writing bad reviews but it was such a waste of money.

I liked it. Kids loved the chicken balls and chicken fried rice. The chicken and cashews were good also. Its more generic style chinese like mandarin. The order was hot and prepared quickly.

Worst experience ever. We ordered for take out a combo & side order of crispy beef. We called as our order was not as we expected, they did not put the sauce on the beef nor was it extra crispy as asked. When we mentioned this on the phone they claimed all places put the sauce on the side(not the case I order crispy beef a lot from other restaurants) Also when we mentioned that no where on the menu does it say that the general taos chicken contains bell peppers, they said that was how it was always made & did not offer anything when we stated theres a pepper allergy in the household. I understand things cannot always be perfect but we called as a complaint & they did not offer a single thing. I will not ever order from this place again.

Stop!! Dont bother unless you enjoy being let down. I realize these are different times but come on?!? If youre going to sell food, maybe care just a little bit. I ordered takeout but i didnt realize this meant putting the meal together at home... why not just send me the raw ingredients and ILL cook it! Was given the most random General Tsos ive seen which mainly consisted of raw chunks of onion and peppers. The Crispy beef was neither crispy nor fresh, and had to toss it together in the sauce they put on the side. Throw in the small servings and an overall indifference on their part when i called to ask about what i had been given and you have a prime example of what it means to be mediocre at best!!

I have had nothing but a good experience here the many times ordered for take out. Their sweet and sour soup, chicken pad thai and fried rice are delicious! Portions are very generous too! My newest neighbourhood spot for all things Chinese takeout!

Second time weève ordered from this place and second disappointment, though this time was worse. Sauce had spilled all over the inside, coating everything. Shanghai noodles were underdone or mystery meat. And as a few others have commented, the General Tso should be avoided completely - its an excuse to charge you extra for some fried rice, by adding some limp beef strips and broccoli. Save your money.

Ive been ordering from Hong Kong for over a year but no more. Their delivery guy has always been rude but tonight he was beyond rude. Same guy every time. Ive had enough of him.

This place has become completely and utterly ruined by the inability of being able to make food and dont know how their even still in business. I purchased half a dozen egg rolls and it had a table spoon of oil spill out then it had ancient vegetables no meat bland taste it was so bad that it made me sick and the sad part is I used to recommend that people should eat here not sure what happened but the owners need to revisit the problem and start resolving things so that they can go back to providing the quality of food they used to provide always remember that quality over profits is the best solution for businesses.

The food is amazing . And hot and made with fresh veggies and good service.

If you like good takeout Chinese food, then Hong Kong serves some of the best . The vegetables are always fresh, portions generous, and prices are very reasonable. I have tried nany different Chinese takeout restaurants and this one is my favourite.

There seems to be two cooks here: one gets 5 stars, the other (to be charitable) doesnt. I obviously got the latter; after 10 minutes waiting to give my order while sounds of cooking came from behind the kitchen door, I gave up and left.

We thought food was great and speed. Way better then what we have locally. Portion size was great for cost.

Disgusting food, terrible service. We ordered 2x the vegetarian combo. Both orders came with chicken fried rice instead of the vegetable fried rice. I immediately called the restaurant, and they took zero accountability for the mistake. I have emailed several times to both the restaurant and the menu.ca website who provides the restaurants online order service and neither have bothered to respond. Order someplace else, this place is awful.

DELICIOUS. I made a large order.. for 3 adults 2 tweens and a toddler and everyone LOVED the food. Fresh food that was HOT, fast delivery.. definitely going to be my go to place for Chinese delivery from now on :-)

Normally love the food. But this time we didnt even get to have it. Delivery estimate was one hour, we waited 1hr15 minutes. My wife called and they told us it would be 15-20 minutes still. It has now been over 2 hours and it seems like the restaurant is closed. Very disappointed. Update: the food arrived 2.5 hrs after order. My wife refused to pay for the full order. The delivery driver took what was given to him and left. After about 40minutes the driver came back to the door with the guy who answers the phone. Demanding payment or the food back. When questioned why they would want the food back they said they could mix it back into orders. Waiting to hear from management in the coming days.

I order $90 of food I specifically ask for hot sauce and they DID NOT SEND IT I CALLED THEM AND THE LADY SAID 30 MINUTES so they can bring me a tiny little thing of sauce never again will I order from this place ....learn how to read orders! !!!!!

Ordered take out, the food was bland and my combo was over three quarters rice. The service was fast though.

edit Dec7th,2012: Used to think this place was great (see below) but service has taken a sharp nosedive. Ordered our usual twice in a row it has come to us not tasting like it used to - and also instead of sending the sauce for the lemon chicken like they usually do, they sent a cup full of cooking oil. When we called to let them know they were sending out the wrong sauce they said its supposed to be like that - we mix it with oil. Come back and get a new one. We wont be ordering again. Old review: These guys are great. we dine at least 2 times a month, and look forward to it every time! Quick delivery to the base. The only down side is, if paying my credit, you need to give it over the phone. they dont have a machine at the door.

First time at this place, its a hole in the wall but those places usually have the best food. I was talking to a local guys and he said this is one of the best places in Ottawa, most orders in under 20 mins. I had the # 2 combo and it was delicious. I love Chinese food and have eaten in many places. I would give the food 8.5 out of 10. Would order from this place again! Darren
