Willies is known as a take out only. Very compact. Great feng shui vibe. Place is clean, staff are pleasant. Food is great. Always ready on time. No dine in option. Parking: Parking at the rear of bldg. Limited parking in the driveway. Pick up stop only.

EXCELLENT food. Only 1 complaint I have though. When ordering a combo plate they only provide 1 pack of soyo sause.. and CHARGE for more. With such a generous amount of rice 1 packet doesnt cut it.. Open ended egg rolls are AMAZING. Food

Worst Chinese food in Orleans. One dish missing and another was supposed to be crispy beef but received General Tsos chicken. Gluten free available, but dont order the scallops dish. Utterly disgusting. All dishes are tasteless or gross. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available, but they remove items and add more of others.

They have the best General Tao chicken in Orleans! Their chicken lo mein is also incredible. Definitely worth the price for the portions they give you.

Very disappointed with our food tonight . The Wong tong soup smelled funny and had a funky taste , in the garbage 2 Wong tong soups..also had chicken soo guy and again the brown gravy was watery and had a rancid smell . That too went in the garbage . Only items that were good was the chicken balls and egg rolls . With the high costs of eating out today , this was a waste of our money . Not pleased at all .

I have loved this restaurant for years. I travelled over 5 hours and the food was just bad, maybe it is a new owner I honestly do not know but after years of loving them I will not order again

We called to place an order and the employee who took our order has no manners and has no respect for his clients!!! Worst service ever, we did not understand well as he repeated the order and tried to clarify and the employee responded This is what I just said, listen with your ears Bro! and hung up on us! Ordered the general Tao combo. I asked him to make it spicy it could ve been a little spicier. The general Tao chicken was crispy and good and saucy. The veggies were good and so was the rice.

Got take away. The food was a reasonable value and the food is ok. The I got a #5 combo plate. Everything seemed a tad dry but it was edible. The hours are great for a late night meal. . So over all for this coty and late night options it got an extra star!

My go-to restaurant for Chinese food. Always fresh and delicious.

Good customer service goes a long way. Poor customer service makes us go away. I called to ask 1) If they had an item I wanted 2) how much for delivery and then was told I could call back once I knew my order. I stated I was ready to order and would prefer not to call back. An hour later the order arrives, I received a veggie stir fry and not a veggie RICE stir fry. They claim it s my error. Why is it when I asked for no eggs and to make it vegetarian they didn t clue in there was an error? When I called I was told firmly it was my mistake. Rice is like $3 full price - their cost is less. Sad to see they d rather put the blame on me than resolve a follow up call. I had gone here for years, but honestly there are too many other options in Orleans now to bother with repairing this relationship.

What a disappointing experience. Almost an hour wait for two relatively banal orders. Ordered two combo plates - one was fine but the second substituted garlic spare ribs for what should have been sweet and sour chicken balls. The almond guy ding - also in the second combo plate was tasteless and did not contain even one almond. Worst almond guy ding that I have ever had. It s going to take a lot to convince me to order from what used to be a pretty good restaurant again.

Would give 0 stars if it were allowed....sent the boyfriend to pick up my order within the 30 minutes the lady on the phone said it would be ready....he shows up and gets sent outside to wait because 2 other customers are waiting inside for their orders that are not ready yet....I get that we have covid restrictions but if these people are waiting for food they just ordered why do they wait inside while my boyfriend waits outside for my already ready order that I called ahead for? Makes 0 sense at all! We used to order alot here and spend quite a bit of money here that will not be happening anymore!

New to Orleans we decided to try Willies actually one of the best chineese food we have eaten in Ottawa. The food was hot and very fresh.The servings was surprisingly very large well worth the price. This is our new go to for Chineese

Horrible food.

They were very unprofessional with how they handled our order. They were almost an hour late with our food until we had enough and went to pick it up ourselves. The lady on the phone lied to us twice about our food the first time saying it was leaving the store now and that it would only be 10 more minutes and then she told us we have to wait for another driver to pick it up. I get small businesses should deserve ti stay open during a pandemic but if you know youre understaffed you shouldnt be taking on so many orders it is beyond ridiculous! Turns out it wasnt even ready when we picked it up

I always enjoy the food we get from Willies. Probably my favourite Chinese restaurants in the East end. Usually ready in a reasonable amount of time and very courteous staff.

It was my first time and it was good.

Our entire meal was cooked perfectly everything was freshly made egg rolls were crispy rice was not sticky with lots of chicken and vegetables. I won t comment on our entire meal but everything else delicious

I ordered 3 dishes. 1 Singapore noodles only 5 pieces of chicken and the amount of the pork was so poor. 2 Beef with flat noodles and BBS, there was like 6 pieces of beef. 3 it was OK. But honestly, I ate lots of noodles like never before. Unfortunately it was so bad so cheap. Done from this place. It wont happen anymore. Bye.

Amazing tasting food! Ordered a dinner for 4 and we had leftovers. Good portions and mouth watering flavours! Rice was fresh, garlic ribs were so tender and delicious!

The food is not bad, but the service is really bad, I ordered at the counter, they asked me for tip, wait what, tip? Why? And after that? They were kind of rude, and at the end I asked for a little spicy hot sauce and the lady that attends said: is a dollar, A DOLLAR for a little spicy sauce? No guys this is first and last time coming here! Don t request any tip, and if you don t receive a tip (ordering at the counter) don t be mean, tip is not forced!! Go to other places, this people are not worth!

This place was my go to place until....I found what appears to be a cricket in my sweet and sour sauce. My family ordered a $70.00 + gratuity order and when I realized what I had found. I called immediately and was told that it was impossible. She basically called me a liar. No refund, apology or accountability. Never again!!!

The post about a cricket in her food is her version. We interested the sauce. Picked up the bug that was fresh. It would of been cooked had it come from our boiling sweet and sour sauce. Called the Department of Public Health and and an immediate inspection was done. 0assed everything. I believe Small Claims Court is our next step for slander.

The food tastes good, but they stuff way too many veggies into the dish to try to make it seem like they re giving you a lot of food. I ordered shanghai noodles and more than half the dish was full of 1 cent celery pieces and bits of onion. The black pepper beef, while pretty tasty, had barely more than 7-8 pieces of actual beef. It s a shame the restaurant overcharges $15 for such a measly amount of food.

Excellent food, great prices

New to Orleans and I was asking around for recommendations for Chinese food takeout. Willies was a name that kept coming up. Called to order, person who answered was quick and courteous. When I brought the food to its destination, it was still extremely hot. Clearly made fresh to order, or at least cooked right before you get there. Generous portions and great flavours. Willies delivered exactly what I was looking for. So good! I will def be ordering again in the future!

I know that its Boxing Day and that its busier than usual, but I waited over 2 hours to get my order. Actually, Im still waiting...which is prompting me to write this negative review. I hope that the food arrives and that its good. But this review is purely commenting on their poor customer service. If they anticipated a busy day, then they should have planned for it. They said it would take 1 to 1.5 hours, but 2.5 hours + is simply ridiculous. Last time getting Willies. Boo.

Congrats, We used to order from here years ago and they fell off the rails a little. This weekend tried them again and they have raised their game. Everything that we ordered was fresh flavourful and exceeded expectation. Why did we not try them again sooner but certainly wont stray going forward. Highly recommend this place and I hope that they keep up the good work. Delivery time could be a little shorter.

The food came quickly and hot considering it was Saturday on Easter weekend. It was the best chinese food I ve had in a long time! Portions were huge and delicious! Dinner for 5 (we are a family of 5) is going to stretch 3 meals! Thanks so much for the delicious meal(s)!

Was left on hold for over 20 minutes while the staff joked around with each other and took other orders.

EXTREMELY dissapointed. I ordered singapore noodles with shrimp, when it arrived there was shrimp, chicken, and pork. i do not eat chicken and pork. when i called about this she refused to help saying that I had made a mistake, because i did not specifically say i did not want chicken and pork, only that i did want shrimp aswell. I said i only wanted shrimp. Because obviously you would need to specify each ingredient uou want or do not want. Id i wanted all the meet, why would i go out of my way to say i only wanted shrimp? the worst part was how insanely rude she was. So i sit down to eat the other dish i got, only to find that the vegtables are riddles with mold. there are black spots all over them. this is disgusting. I will not be coming here again.

Literally they only make one dish, just put different meats in the same bland sauce. We tried to go for variety and get Singapore noodles with shrimp only, but didnt say no pork, no beef and whatever else they put on so everything goes in. We tried to get it addressed but she screamed at us that we should have named all of the things we didnt want in it. If you like paying a fortune for garbage go for it, but make sure you have a lot of time to tell them exactly what you dont want in your food. One star is generous...and now realizing they lied about the gluten free status too (celiac disease, but to be fair we should expect that in Ottawa by now), or maybe we didnt notice the moldy celery until too late...but feels like gluten.

Ive been a longtime customer. Its great Cantonese and Szechuan food.

The Blonde cashier was extremely rude to my husband. My husband went into pick up our food and he left his phone at home and couldn t remember my phone number. With this day in age, no one remembers phone numbers. He knew the amount and the order but she still wouldn t let up. Anyways he tried explaining that to her and she became aggressive and even after someone from the back came to help, she still continued to argue. We have been customers for years, always ordering on special occasions. We spend well over $1000 each year at Willie s. Today was my birthday and I couldn t get my favourite food because of the rude employee. Too bad I will never be ordering here again.

Very good food and top notch service

We diverted from our usual go to in Orleans and decided to try out Willie s as they have been in business for so many years. Service was great, the food was delicious and the portions were quite generous ! One of the dishes we ordered was the chicken with black bean sauce - the sauce was different than what I ve had before and although I loved that it was packed with a variety of vegetables, this meant that the protein (chicken) was lacking in comparing to other Chinese takeouts which I have tried.

For the past six years, I ordered Chinese food from this place. Tonight, however, will be the last. I ordered two dishes, one without meat. When I opened the bag, I noticed that one of the dishes (mine) was not what I ordered. I called to explain this, and I was told that I ordered wrong . No offer to compensate for future orders, no solution offered. Nice.

We order food here tonight and there was some hits and misses from this place. We order the General Tao Tofu which was probably one of the better things from our meal as it was decent. It was however lacking in spice and was overly sweet. We also got the combo 7 which was generous in portion size however, the veggies and General Tao chicken lack flavour and the rice was bland. The spring roll was okay not great. The Szechuan spring roll was absolutely disgusting. It was dry and had no flavour. I had way better spring rolls from other places.

I give everybody a try... but not anymore the beef chop suey incredible lots of finely sliced fresh beef with crunchy beanspouts the cover barely closed the plate so full also the breaded srimps fantastic Ive found most places hides their not so fresh srimps in batter Not here,I have leftovers for 2 or 3 meals Yaii!!! EPIC FAIL Ordered Beef Chow Mein, received Beef Chop Suey Ordered Orange Beef extra spicey, received Orange Chicken and no spice. Ordered platter #5 for one and there was enough rice to feed three people after I ate a bunch. Never order from there again.

2 stars because the food is always good, but the last 4 or 5 times weve ordered its anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours for delivery. Totally unacceptable, they dont even have tables to serve.... the entire business is takeout/delivery. The last order was made at 5:50pm and received at 8:10pm. Sadly we will not be ordering from here again.

Usually the service and the food is great, especially the egg rolls. However, today I ordered and it took over an 1hr40mins! When I called after an hour and asked the phone lady what s the hold up said the food is ready but no idea when the driver would be back sometime to pick it up. . At that point I asked if we could get a discount due the delay and knowing that the food wouldn t be fresh she said no don t do that here! , she was quite rude. Definitely going somewhere else from now on for my Chinese food.

Would give these guys a ten star rating if I could. Always recommend to friends in the area who are looking for some great quality takeout. Reminds me of a little place that used to be in Rockland growing up called the Canton. Keep making great food Willies and Ill keep recommending and buying only from you guys, nobody else compares.

Food is excellent. Platters are crazy full. One platter can feed 4. Staff is great. Nothing bad to say except it can get really busy. Delivery is very fast.

Love eating here. The wait isnt too long and their open late. Their combo platters are MASSIVE, you can share it between 2 people. The chow mein is pretty good here. They have a huge selection of a variety of dishes on their menu so you have a lot of choices. They have gluten free options which is awesome!

Terrible customer service/food.Ordered from this place a few times and always got the same food. Went in today and spent $36zGot home and starting eating the salt and pepper tofu and immediately knew something was wrong. My mouth and fingers were coated in some kind of wax. Could not eat at all. Called back to just let them know maybe something is wrong and they blamed it on me because I asked for extra crispy. Told me to drive my order back for her to decide if there was something wrong with it. Refused to give me a refund. Also ordered where s won tons and when I opened the containers there was a black hair about 6 inches long. Absolutely disgusting place

Willies has been around for a long time for a good reason. The food is super and always made fresh. The staff are pleasant. I have gone back to ordering from Willies after moving from Orleans but I am back. Hubby loves it and the Singapore Noodles are to die for. The Honey Garlic Chicken is mouth water watering. You know a good place when there are many regulars. The Owners always attempt to give you what you order and they are pretty great at knowing what you want when you are not even sure. I shake my head as I read some reviews. You just cant please everybody all the time. I highly recommend Willies Chinese Food and know there is a high percentage of Orleans folks that totally agree with me.

I ordered the Cantonese chow mein and the general tao chicken. Good portion size and quality. Cant speak on anything else but those were pretty good compared to most places.

Willies is definitely iconic to Orleans and offers great food and service. Just finished eating and it was great as usual. I wish you all the best and hope for another 50 years of business in Orleans. That said, this evening I noticed MSG free upon request on their take out flyer attached to the bag. They still use MSG? I thought they got rid of that in the 90s because of the diarrhea epidemic it was causing. MSG is the difference between relying on cooking skills to asking Joe Dirt to taint his mediocre-on-a-good-day dish and pass himself off as a cordon bleu graduate. MSG on a turd can easily pass as a truffle. So disappointed Willies!

Willies is an institution in Orléans. It has been here since the 60s. It is the best Chinese food in Orléans for sure and IMHO the best anywhere. You will love it: excellent food and fast and friendly service!
