Ordered a couple of Manhattans for me and my friend. We were served awful cinnamony drinks that had nothing to do with Manhattans. We had Manhattans there before. While the ones from back then weren't great, at least they did qualify as Manhattans. What we were served tonight did not. When we politely asked about the build of our drinks (perhaps a funky new local vermouth we weren't familiar with?), we were given nothing but attitude and got pretty much ridiculed for asking. Sad to say we won't be going to 10Fourteen anymore.
This place is a hidden gem if you're looking for a chill lounge atmosphere with great cocktails, great prices but a small but mighty kitchen for sandwiches and the like. The service is impeccable and our waitress always remembers pur names when my girlfriend and I usually go for a couple of drinks for a night put in Hintonburg. Really like this place and they even have some boardgames for the adventurous minds. Cheers!
Had the Fidel sandwich and a Mac and cheese. Both were fantastic. Tasty and spicy. Great beer selection. Great staff. I’ll be back for the candied bacon and jerk chicken nachos soon.
This was a great little spot and super convenient since our other food options were all closed. The sandwiches were very tasty, although the bread was harder than I like, which is the only reason I docked a star for food. Totally my personal opinion because the guys we were with loved their sandwiches. The staff was great and the atmosphere was very cozy, definitely worth the stop :)
The atmosphere and service are great. Good place to go for a couple as well as with friends. You can also find board games to play while having some drinks. Food and drinks are ok for a decent price.
My wife and I have loved getting a mixed drink together since we met, and we make a point of trying new places and a variety of drinks. We popped in to 10Fourteen at a busy point around 11:30 and got two seats at the bar. The place is not bright, pretty loud while we were there at times, and the staff were pretty busy - but these are typically signs of a good place for drinks. We had the Dark Necessities and a Midnight Hour and I'd be hard pressed to say one was better than the other - every time I thought I liked one more I would sample the other and I wasn't so sure; they were both delicious. In the near decade we've been having drinks, these are some of the best we've had. The staff were cognizant of the rush and worked hard to get through their orders and set us up with water and popcorn topped with some tasty salt, brown sugar some cinnamon if I'm recalling correctly. While we definitely go out less than we used to, we'll definitely be coming back the next time we're looking for a place for a drink to try more of their menu.
Great great GREAT place to be. The bartender was so so sweet and friendly and accommodating! He made the place and the experience very comfortable. Great settings, the drinks were delicious, and their popcorn.. I need their recipe, it was the most delicious popcorn I have had and I’m not the biggest fan of popcorn usually. I would love to visit here again and again!
A friend recommended this place.....I had never heard of it. As soon as I walked in i loved how different it was. Its classy....yet you feel at home. Some of the best drinks I have ever had and the food is unreal.....oh and the best part is you can order a cup of bacon. Lee was the bartender and added to the vibe. Every drinks is a work of art. Highly recommend you support and check out this amazing spot.

This place is a nice little bar with excellent food, drinks, and amazing atmosphere. I was recommended a virgin drink by the waitress and it was great. I will be visiting again. A truly one of one place.

Cosy, but awesome vibe and service!
Went with a group and played some of the board games they have in the back. The game literally required us to tell funny anecdotes, similar to card against humanity so we had a good laugh but on two occasions they came and told us to be quiet. Place wasnt that busy, not sure why they have those games if they want people to whisper to each other, seems counter intuitive. Definitely wont be going back. Also drinks are overpriced, go to any of the other bars in Hintonburg where you can talk to each other without being scolded by the staff.
10Fourteen is my go-to place for a good night out. Decently priced drinks with good food options (especially their charcuterie board). The atmosphere is amazing as well, good music selection with a dimly lit vibe which makes for great moments with friends. Service is incredible as well, I definitely recommend it to anyone in and around the area looking for a good night out.

Good staff, good cocktails. Pinball machine if youve got change, board games if youve got boredom. Wine stuff on Mondays, I think open mic on Fridays. Every Tuesday they feature a new weekly special cocktail; they occasionally do coffee cocktails which is nice. Apparently sometimes dress up for Halloween. Theyve got a strawberry shortcake in a jar for dessert, usually, and open the back up in summer. Reservations optional, but it can get busy fast sometimes. Vegetarian options: Good cheese options, including the charcuterie and the pizza pocket, and I can strongly recommend the edamame. Dietary restrictions: Good for vegetarians, but vegans will have a difficult time, and piscatarians have maybe two or three food items in total that they could order. Parking: If youre lucky, you can pull into one of the lots along the street, but best to assume therell be no easy room around; on Friday nights, especially so. Kid-friendliness: Evidently, as a bar, best to avoid bringing youngns altogether, especially with very few options on the menu that would even be suited to the tastes or appetites of children; do with that knowledge as you will. Wheelchair accessibility: Theyve a front step and back stairs, but they do have a patio seasonally with wheel-chair access, and at least one table out front year-round.
I went to Fourteen on my birthday and was surprised by a live performance by Ryan MacIntyre, an amazing musician! The cinnamon popcorn was delicious, the drinks and food were very good, The atmosphere was perfection since the bartender worked splendidly with the server to offer exceptional service.
Cozy place for casual drinks, live music, and board games
Good value for the food portions, even if you might find some of the menu items a tad on the heavier side. The service is generally pleasant, efficient and quick, and sitting here is almost always fun for an evening get-together! A must try for visitors to Ottawa - I brought a couple of out-of-town acquaintances who rather enjoyed the experience.

You always remember the places when the staff go out of their way to make your experience a memorable one. So glad we visited last night (Aug 7th, 2023)! Our server Danie was very kind and supportive with offering us a taste of the jerk chicken before we decided to order the Jerk Chicken Natchos. They were so delicious! Ryley from the kitchen came out to our table to answer our questions and to offer great suggestions for our wine and cheese paring. As we were ready to leave the classy welcoming atmosphere of 10fourteen, we found out that the owner Rani was in the restaurant at the same time and came over to say hi to us and shared the history of the restaurant. Such a fun cocktail bar! Well be back!

The drinks here are the best I ve had in Ottawa! The service is awesome too; the bartenders are so friendly, and fast. I ve only eaten the popcorn, artichoke dip and pizza puffs so far but was all delicious. Love this spot.

Absolutely loved this place! We went there for a last minute happy hour after work recently. The bartender was great! I am super indecisive, so I just told him what type of things I liked/didnt like and told him to surprise me. He crafted such a great drink that I asked him to do it again. I was just as happy the second time around! Food-wise, we got the nachos to share that were very good. I got the grilled cheese, too, and it was tasty as well! I would definitely recommend this place!

Absolute gem of Ottawa, super friendly, amazing food (nachos are chefs kiss) and a lovely atmosphere! There was always a pinball machine and some board games to play with friends or meet some nice people there! Loved the live guitar music! Definitely would go there again!

The girl working on Thursday Nov 10 to 11th denied us cause we were holding hands. She said you cant do that here and said we were too drunk but we havent drank that evening. She aid we ran into the door and cant serve us. Terrible staff. Will neer go there again and tell others to not to go as well.
Walked into the bar with two friends while holding hands and we were immediately denied service by the bartender because we were holding hands, very rude. She also said we ran into a door, which did not happen either. Will not go back.
For vegan options, they have cauliflower wings with a vegan aoili on the menu, but were sold out. I had some chips and salsa and a pretzel (!) with mustard. It was nice to have a vegan pretzel. My friend really loved the mustard. The atmosphere and service were great.
This is undercover one of the best bars in town. I cant count the number of memorable nights here. I also once held a private event here and it was handled wonderfully. I would recommend this spot to anybody in the area.

Attentive and friendly Staff. Washrooms were sanitized between uses and the plastic dividers that were installed between seating areas were spotless. Seating was thouroughly sanitized between seatings. You can tell before the pandemic it was a great spot; with a sleeping pinball machine in the corner & all the fun decor. Relaxing atmosphere even as the world is ending with a great whiskey sour.

Went for a few drinks. Was pleasantlt surprised. Good atmosphere! Our server Blair was awesome start to finish. Each one of his recommendations was spot on, and he was very fun and approachable. Would highly suggest asking for him if you go!

Fantastic cocktails. The atmosphere is engaging and upscale casual. The only downside is the singular waiter who was wonderful was over run with having to check vaccination, make drinks, take orders and deliver food. The place was quite busy and we had to try and get his attention. Another bartender or a person at the door would alleviate the issue. Food and drinks are immaculately presented.

I have to admit, I ended up here because the other places we chose did not have room for three of us on a Saturday night. I have to say we were glad this was the case! The crowd was a good mix of people, the staff friendly and knowledgeable, the drinks interesting and good, and the food... much better than the price would suggest (Recommend the grilled cheese or 10Fourteen sandwich!!) The one unfortunate thing was there was no Caesar on the drink menu, but the bartender was willing to make one for me, before I decided to try one of their specialty drinks, which I am glad I did.

I was a little adamant at first when I read the reviews by other people... That being said I have no clue what they were talking about. The staff was fantastic the selection of alcohol was great. Most importantly, the food was amazing! I look forward to the next time I get to go.
