Today, I visited Tim Hortons with my partner, and we had an unpleasant experience with one of the cashiers, whose behavior was outright rude. We were standing at the counter deciding what to order, and he abruptly asked us to hurry up because “there’s a line.” At that time, the store was empty, and there was no one else waiting behind us. We proceeded to place our order, and while waiting for our coffee, a Canadian customer came in. To our surprise, the cashier’s attitude immediately shifted, becoming polite and courteous toward this new customer. This change felt discriminatory and left us feeling disrespected. When we asked other employees, they mentioned the cashier’s name as Ranji (apologies if the spelling is incorrect) and that he may be from Korea. We were deeply disappointed by the way we were treated and felt uncomfortable with the biased service. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning to this location. Respect and courtesy should be consistent with all customers, regardless of background.
Food is excellent quality but could be served more quickly as the wait before ordering is typically long during meal times so the additional wait could be done without. Otherwise the service staff seem to be working their hardest but management should hire extra workers. All in all this an excellent destination if you're traveling on foot, cycling, or public transit, as the only parking available is paid street parking which in Ottawa is not cheap, however this should not affect your decision to patronize this location as obviously the management has no control over cost of parking. (Previous comments on parking I made were in error as I confused this location for another.)
This Timmy’s is a little sus. The clientele is somewhat rough. Not their fault, just the way it is. The food was good as always. They close at 6 PM. Probably a good thing.
Pros: I order my coffee through the app every morning so I skip the long line every time. The staff usually recognizes me and gives me my order right away which is amazing. Cons: It has happened more than once where my coffee wasn't "seasoned" the way I wanted and the line up is often long probably due to them being understaffed
The coffee was hot and delicious. I did not get a chance to try the donuts. I really enjoyed how there was an expedited line for beverages only on the side that moved extremely fast. The staff was very efficient. Easy walking distance from many hotels, a perfect location for tourists and business travelers. I would say the only small downside is that a lot of the seats were taken up by what appears to be people camping out. Not really a criticism since I know they have nowhere to go.
My cup of coffe had some long black hair swimming in it. How would you like that? I saw it after arriving at my desk and opening the lid. I had to return to Tim Hortons and they replaced it. But now i would be always thinking what else might be swimming in their coffe. That is the place I would never go back to.
How are you gonna tell me the bagels aren’t ready at 6am I understand they’re is a line up but it is not my fault that you’re understaff I’m a paying costumer who wanted breakfast and coffee but I’m told I’m refused because ur bagels were not ready? Packed line from 6am to 7am your clearly making profits hire staff and stop over working ur staff disgusting Tim’s in general Store also closed 10 minutes early July 12 get new managers
Tim Hortons is an iconic Canadian coffee and donut store dating back to the time when the Toronto Maple Leafs won their NHL’s Stanley Cup (1967), founded by hockey legend Tim Horton in 1964. So it has been around for a while. The franchise has grown with new management, menu items and its community commitment. You can almost always see someone (probably a federal public servant) grabbing a bite or coffee at this franchise restaurant on Ottawa’s downtown Queen street. The service is fast and organized. The food, donuts and coffee are consistently fresh meeting my expectations. I recommend going there for a coffee and a snack when in the downtown core of Ottawa. With that said… It is always a good time to hit the like button if you enjoy my reviews, videos or photos.
I hate the decision to change the schedule for mobile order and set it at 7:00am .. largely inconvenient Kid-friendliness: Homeless people are taking over the place
We ran out of pizza bread while I could clearly see bags of pizza bread in the rack. Clearly a common strategy when they want to close early (was there at 6 pm, closing is at 7 pm). Oh well, they did me a favor, I am too fat anyways.
I often go to this location, staff provide great customer service with a smile The Manager is always give excellent customer Lovepreet and Donna are super friendly, always prepares order on time.
I was there few days before after so long to order steeped tea and bagel . A lady who was manager in there was very angry and broke the pot and also scolding her staff in front of customers which is so unprofessional. Also i got very less cream cheese in my bagel.
Too late for the delivery man
When you order from them they just put whatever they feel like in the bag without checking their chit. If somethings out of stock they ll just charge you for a different item.
Great place for breakfast and coffee.
1 star just because of how disgusting their bathroom is. its always a mess just like in the video.
Tim Hortons is my best place. My child love pizza here.
Worst place slow sercive takes long time to get your food I always ask for double toasted and my bagel is never double toasted verry disappointed
Terrible service and improperly trained staff. Dont expect to get what you order.
Always a huge line and only one person taking orders, make it make sense.
I was there at june 2. I ordered Begal belt with egg and chicken but the front guy messed up my order they only provide me with an egg. I told them and Birendra quickly solved my issue. He was helpful, smily and kind. He should definitely get a raise.
Thank you for services
convenient location
Laxman is the best worker, he was very friendly and professional. God bless you young man.
Good
Service is slow in the afternoon, food is okay...
Absolutely disgusting restaurant. Every single window in this place, including the doors, has been wiped with a dirty cloth. There are streaks and stains everywhere on the windows. Then we watched the sandwich maker, put on new gloves, touch some food, then touch his computer, and then go ahead and touch some more food without changing his gloves. So this dump doesnt follow any food handling precautions, and the entire restaurant is filthy.
Store was supposed to be open until 6 pm and I had arranged in advance to pick-up an order between 5 and 6 pm. The store locked its doors sometime between 4:30 and 5. Maybe they were unexpectedly short on staff or employees wanted to leave early because the lights were all on, but all the doors were locked and the employees inside appeared to be doing closeup procedures already and others sitting at the tables waiting for their ride home.
Amazing service. Only gave 4 stars because there was no tp or soap in the bathrooms
The taste is excellent, the service is very good, and the atmosphere is okay Parking: Parking is usually free
Great food
Very disorganized Timmie not very friendly people I think they crews don t like working here!
their manager is smart to realize its my online order and all servers are nice and their respond are fast Dietary restrictions: soy or other subtitle milk
Its a pretty basic Tim Hortons. Standard, as it should be. I had friends visiting from Mexico and had to introduce them to this Canadian institution and this location did the trick.
Cappuccino and cafe latte were both not hot. Since that purchase, my next two Tims purchases of cappuccinos at other locations were also NOT hot. Most disappointing. I did not enjoy the drink as a result.
there was a bug in my food, so i complained to the manager. she told me i was the bug and said i put the bug in it. Do i seem like a person to touch bugs???
amazing timmies :)
Great cafe
Cheap and delicious
Bad service
Arrived this morning for breakfast. The q was immense and took us 30mins to be served + 10 mins waiting for food. No extra staff serving. Poor Service Tim Hortons. You need extra staff to cope with heavy demand.
Came twice in my stay, all great thank you.
The last 3 times Ive ordered a drink there its been wrong in a different way every time. Which is really kind of impressive.
I was there this morning and that was the best customer service I ever had at Tim s and even the staff was very friendly especially the guy whose name was Gurtej and the donuts were very well made and the at every other Tim s I always get my coffee not stirred and always have to go back there but this was the first time my coffee was made in a proper way. I just want to thanks to all the staff working in there
I m currently at the Queen street Tim Hortons and it says on google that they are open for take out and delivery but it looks closed, there s no one inside and no window to pick up take out. Just wondering why they would say open for take out and delivery if they aren t
What they have: 4 workers & a long long line What they do: group up and chat Food
Actually better than Starbucks. AND cheaper. They should expand worldwide. Food : 5/5
Worst customer service
This is the 10th level of hell. There is always a very long line, very slow, disinterested service. The employees are rude and dont care. Todays debacle was getting my order wrong. I ordered and paid for a roast beef sandwich and received the snack size. Their solution was to slap the same contents into a larger bun. They had also completely run out of tea, cup sleeves, and bags for donuts. What shouldve been a straight forward transaction took 20 minutes and I ended up with a squished donut, scorched hands, the dreck shown in the photo.
Ive been coming to this location now for around 4 months and this review is more accurate. The service is consistently slow in the afternoon so now I avoid going here after breakfast time. The experience below was from August 31st 2023 before 9:00 a.m. Just a point to share how confused I was to see a new employee at Tim Hortons serving me a large chocolate milk that was already completely opened. When the trainer pointed it out, the new hire looked so confused. Look guys autopilot is a real thing and most people are asleep in our society and this is a perfect example of it. Critical thinking was entirely absent. I think Im going to have to lower my expectations from now on. Enjoy your day #timhortonscanada #timhortons #zombieapocalypse #asleep #soundasleep
Wed, Sep 20th at 4:30pm Coffee was great as usual. Not impressed with the Crispy Chicken Cravable. Dry bun, not enough sauce, pitiful lettuce(not fresh, wilted & very small). Chicken was definitely not fresh, dry & over cooked and meat was hard around the edges. I threw it out. Certainly not worth the money. Thats the problem with Take-Out. You return to work with your dinner and youre left with an undesirable meal.
Did not get what I ordered. Sat down opened the bag and saw the order was not correct. The order taker tried to say that is what I ordered, but the fact is he punched in the wrong thing.
II am very disappointed with this branch and with Tim Hortons orders as a whole. Theres always something wrong when you do mobile orders. Saturday, i placed a mobile order that was sent to this location. After waiting an hour to be delivered, i realized my order was sent to someone else, despite having my full address on the app and on the receipt that was emailed to me. I called the doordash (who i found was the delivery company), they told me to call Tim Hortons because it was a mobile app order. I called this restaurant and no solution was found. They refused to resend the order and some lady tried to request a full refund and said someone will contact me. I went on the mobile site and sent 2 messages about my issue stating i want my refund. Till now nobody has acknoledge anything nor contacted me. Im definetly not ordering anything anymore from this place because this is the second or third this has happened to me. Its either they get your order wrong or deliver you products that arent fresh and clearly taste as if they were made 2 days before. Theres no point having an online delivery service but you cant properly handle your orders and offer customer a good experience.
Great location and awesome service. Late in the evening might be slow but overall good.
The blueberry muffin was good. I like their parfaite
Dont have an express coffee line if youre not going to open it. By the way - if you open up the express line (even if youre short staffed) youll still be able to serve more customers. Management at this location need to step up.
Fantastic
Stood in line for almost 40 minutes for a watermelon quencher. Seen people infront of me order a single coffee and still waiting to ten minutes to receive it. Not sure of the cause but hands down the slowest service Ive ever seen No stars. Well they did get my order right so .
It was a tasteless coffee and the bagel tasted even worse.
Very good and fast service
So friendly! No problem being served mask free!!!!
Have a good service. I like it.
From the mom of a little girl with frozen feet: We want to thank the Manager and staff for the help, kindness and love you showed our 5 year old daughter today. You took us into the back got us warm water, a towel and a free donut in order to calm her and warm her feet. You allowed her to sit as long as she needed and the entire team was so cheerful and friendly towards all the customers. Thank you and you have our support!
Great location and management.
They are open when the rest of the fools chose to close, they deserve our business!!
Thank you for not discriminating against anyone! United we stand
Supports trucker convoy, which fine, except they won t let people sit in their store if they are not part of the convoy. They also do not follow proper mask and capacity restrictions.
What a great place. In the middle of the downtown core and the truckers convoy. You are amazing. You open your restroom to everyone and you put 0 restrictions on masks and the amount of people in your place allowing people to warm up while getting their coffees and treats. Good for you and thank you for being human during this insanity they call pandemic.
Even though this place was packed with peaceful protestors the staff were calm and polite
Excellent service. Possibly best in the province.
You are amazing
This is the worst Tim Hortons. They are rude and unprofessional. Every time the send an order they don t send correct items. Always missing items. Try checking what s ordered and making sure it s in the bag. A little curtesy goes along way.
A friend told me that the manager at the Tim Hortons at 330 Queen Street said business is the busiest its been in two years since the truckers arrived. Would love to know if this statement is true.
Everytime my coffee is amazing. Great employees and great service.
Great staff Did not segrigate people Will definitely visit again
Coffee is better now
Super cute. Dine in was available for the first time in a while and it was honestly a great place to wait for my next bus after getting out of Lyon station
In the middle of the city center of the federal capital and no way to serve in French, even when you say hello in French to see if the person speaks French they make a face of disgust.... this should not be the case. not happen in a city center 2 minutes from the parliament of the federal capital....
Horrible coffee
Breakfast sandwich could have been hot
Usually very quick, but if it gets busy. It feels like being stuck in traffic. This is no ones fault , its just the way it is.
Fantastic team of employees.
Nice ambience
I want to give a huge shout out to my favourite Tim Hortons employee, Stephanie. She always goes above and beyond. She remembers the regulars and makes sure every interaction she has with customers is a positive one. Thanks Stephanie, youre the best part of my 5am commute!
Good service, good seating available.
The staff were very courteous and generous in handing me a hazelnut coffee, loved the service and the ambience.
Very good place and highly recommended
Lovely staff that doesn t buckle under the hectic crowd that develops here!!
Went there today to get a coffee and they had no sweetener....this is not the first time this store has let me down. Not impressed Tim Hortons.
Overall good
Sign says open till 6pm but at 5:40pm the doors are locked. Sucks if you work in the building and planned to eat today.
I stop by this place quite regularly in the morning to order lunch. Although some days the queue is long, the service is nonetheless fast; I rarely wait more than 3-4 minutes. The employees are efficient, helpful, and dedicated. This Tim is very conveniently located at the Delta Hotel in downtown Ottawa (there is access from outside). If you take the light train, it is a 1-minute walk from Lyon station. Kid-friendliness: This place has high chairs for young children. Wheelchair accessibility: It is possible to get to this fast food restaurant through the main entrance of the Delta hotel.
Nice place for coffee.
Very Ill mannered and irresponsible. They should know the value of time. They make you wait and at the time of service they dont have stuff to serve you. Worst tim i have ever visit.
Ordered on the mobile app and waited 25 minutes to get my food and coffee, about 20 people were served after me and got there food before me. And when I got my food my order was wrong. Worse Tim Hortons in Ottawa. Employees are useless and don t care about costumer service AT ALL.
24 hours and very clean
Service is Great and fast
Good place. Connected to Delta hotel
Get coffee here. They have croissants and bottled water. At this location you can get a wide variety of soups and they have white and whole wheat buns. They have many kinds of bagels to choose from. They have iced coffee and iced cappuccino. One thing they also have is fruity smoothies with or without yogurt. Some days they have a wonderful chili served with a bun.
Order 6 donuts and they dont let u choose
Great service and always a smiling face in the morning.
It was a bit slow today... Only 2 people in was a line up of 12
Poor service
Received my breakfast order however most of it was cold and not even warm except the egg. Bit disappointed!
Not professional. Wait too much :-((
The guy in the store was absolutely rude . I order the food and reached there 20 mins later. Since I m familiar with the way store serves( please check my order history), I was waiting beside and just asked the guy serving if my order was ready . He was like you have to wait! This was in a very rude tone! No eye contact and finger pointed at me !This happened after 20 mins of placing the order!. He said he didn t have the chicken and I had to cancel the order or take potato wedges instead. He was rude with other guests as well. When I asked him if he could refund my order , as he doesn t have what I need , he said it s in you hands ! I can t do anything in a rather aggressive tone ! I have never had such bad service and rude experience in my entire life! Please look into the issue ! The experience I had was really really disappointing .. the way he treated me was not good at all. Even when he was at mistake! Order placed @ 4:30 pm Went to store @ 4:50 pm Date : 8th of July Tim hortons at 330 queen street. In front of Lyon station.
Not open at the time they said it would be opened
Lineup is long and minimum staff. Manager should hire more.vwaiting time 20 minutes. Ridiculous.
Good service. Even a small cup of milk froth for my young son
Terrible food service. Coffee is always cold and the food service is ridiculously slow even with maximum staff. The food quality was absolutely terrible despite the excessive amount of time taken to make it.
Not open 24 hours
Here, the customer is always wrong. They are doing us a favor by providing food. Customer service is an unknown concept. Better to stay hungry than order from here. Terrible representation of Canadian coffee company. This location is perfect example of how to not run a franchise. They never have what you want, when they do you can be certain its not going to taste the way you want it to. Even after placing your order you will have to wait forever to get your order. Even with full staff they fail to provide acceptable service. I cant believe management is still allowed to run this place. Here is a List of things i had to face over the time. Tap water is chargeable. Have to tell the employees to change gloves after touching meat. Employees not wearing gloves while making food. Employee shouting at customer to never come to the store and order from somewhere else. Not once but twice. Even if your order is ready you will have to wait because they just dont care. It is the customers job to make sure they have taken the correct order. If you dont then get ready for a scolding. 2 days in a row they wasted 20 mins of my 30 min break for a order that was already ready.
Check your items before you leave. I placed an online order with 6 assorted muffins, I stood for 15 min in line and collected it. I was tired enough not to check the items, reached hotel room a block away, opened and saw the box had 6 donuts instead. My order also had 3 egg&cheese sandwiches, one with customization. That was missed completely. Went back again, the store manager took the donuts back, and gave the muffins after she double checked my order details in her system. No apology, no regret for the screwed up order a s making me walk back to store.
Best coffee
We stayed in the delta marriot hotel and we had our breakfast, coffee and cool drinks for 2 days .. it was good and it was also neat where we stayed .. only thing is the queue was long and we have to wait more time.. they have to open more counters for the morning rush ..
Lack of service cashier had a hard times to count change didnt take loud enough unsure how to take an order wait 10 minutes to give my order at 5:45 there was 6 people before me. I know the cashier was new and was probably his first day but some else should of step in his place
Its 10:52pm and ya say youre open till 12am dafuq is this?!?!?
Been at the Delta for 5 days so far. This is officially the slowest and most disorganized Tims I have ever seen! Orders screwed up every day, understaffed and slow as hell!
Not open when it says open. Many people are here right now trying to get in because the hours claim 24/7.. Waste of time
By far the slowest service ever . One person on cash during rush hour . Took me 20 min to place order .
Good location open at 5 am
For the love of god, get more staff here. It s been months of 20 minutes lineups for a coffee.
Meh decent service food was hot my order was correct too. My only complaints is the lack of compassion the staff have and cleanliness of the tables. Besides it though it s just your average timmies so it was decent.
Fast service and good pastries
I got everything I ordered. Place wasnt that packed.
I have ordered 2 egg and cheese farmers wrap for 5$ as an offer. Egg and cheese farmers wrap contains egg, hash brown and cheese. There are no hash browns in the wrap. And this is the second time the same thing happened with me. I don t have time to go back there and tell them every time to check what they are making. This isn t professional, by the weight of the wrap itself says there is something missing inside.
Two breakfast wraps but no Bacon and sausage inside, no meat at all, can you give me a reason for that?
Absolutely the worst Tim Hortons I ve been to. Not very clean.. The staff is unresponsive and all basically act like they haven t been properly trained. Not to mention ordering from them online was just as bad an experience. Almost everything we ordered was wrong. As for our sandwiches... Well.. Not only did our sandwiches have brown lettuce and really gross quishy tomatoes but both of them had gross long black hairs in them. My wife and me have never been so disgusted. I called to complain. The lady I spoke with said I had to talk to the manager.. They were not in so I was told that they would call me back at their earliest convenience.. it s been two days and I still haven t heard from them. Now when I try to call nobody answers. It s almost as if they re screening my calls. Unacceptable. Tim Hortons is supposed to be the staple of Canadian coffee and breakfast. Get your act together.
Nice staffs there.
Bad customer service slow service coffee was old :(
Pretty good but can be slow sometimes
Only one person working too slow slow slow!!
No contact tracing info requested by this location(I was there 2X in as many days); EXTREMELY unorganized & very slow- 3 people ahead of me & I waited 30min & 45min for my order which was a breakfast sandwich, bagel, 2 coffees took 45min; 2 coffees & 6 donuts took 30min!
Nice place to get a quick coffee
Had challenge with mobile app, but once resolved restaurant was good. There was mishap that one customer took anothers order at the counter, which resulted in confusion and delays. More attention in allocating orders rather than just leaving on counter to be picked up. But otherwise good as usual.
Efficient, laid out for the current situation and consistent coffee.
This is the second time that they accepted my mobile order and then decided to close the door at 2:30pm middle of the day. I came to the store few minutes after I placed the order only found out that they were closed again. Workers were still inside but no one would acknowledge me when I tried all the doors to get in. Only minutes later a worker came out and gave me my receipt told me to come back to pick up my order tomorrow instead of just giving me my black coffee and a donut. He also claimed that they have no control over accepting mobile order or not. Wasted my break time at work and ruined my day. Turn off your mobile order system if you decided to close your store. I placed an order and it went through. Only to found out that your store is closed when I got there. Absolutely horrible!
The working staff are nice and willing to help and they take good measures for cleaning regularly.
Not sure if I have ever received an order correctly at this location. Just went back after months and it was still disastrous.
This is the worst tim hortons in Ottawa.... 6:30 in the morning and only ever 1 staff taking orders . with 2 people ahead of me inwalked out after 15 minutes wait. Absolutely horrible customer service
Says it closes at midnight... Bravo
Nice spot, wish it was still 24hrs
It s closed these evenings
Good friendly service
Nice staff and fast and fresh food
Empty.
Please update your opening time on Google maps
