Excellent food and service. Legendary coffee. Went in here for breakfast. I'm used to putting milk and sugar in my coffee, but what they're serving here is so good I had to forgo the sugar for my second cup. I mentioned the extreme quality to the gentleman who served me, and he said that they use Ethiopian beans that are roasted in-house every morning! Folks there's a Tim Hortons across the street, but if you go over there you might as well drink mud out of the gutter. The good stuff is served at Betsi Chicken!
Their Ethiopian coffee is amazing and freshly roasted every day! The chicken wrap is really moist, and so it's one of the most flavourful wraps I've ever had! The staff are very accommodating and very nice!
I had one of the breakfast sandwiches and it was great. Freshly made, very tasty, very nice staff. Great price. If I lived here I would get one of these every day
The place is amazing and so is the food and work that is done here. This place is home to everyone that walks in! I love this place and I hope you will too. The owner is the most loving person in the world, he also he treats you like you are part of his family. The service here is amazinggggg. I strongly encourage you to come and join the family. And the delicious food with family.
The place has the best samosas and the betsi sauce is amazing!!!! The sauce is good with chicken as well. You will have to come and try it to know what I’m talking about!
Amazing food! Quick and polite service and the owner makes you feel like family. When you try this place make sure and get the Betsi Sauce, absolutely scrumtious! Also it’s right by the Parliament so it’s the perfect spot to grab a bite while you see Ottawa!
Very tasty lunch buffet, fresh injera and a great assortment of tibs, everything was very flavorful but not spicy at all (I do enjoy spicy foods though).
This is two restaurants sharing a kitchen: an Ethiopian restaurant and an Indian restaurant. It seems to only be run by two men. Came here last week, ordered the lunch special, and only received the rice, veggies and meat, even though the menu stated there was a dessert and bread included. The men running the place were nice enough, but the food was not good at all. Couldn't finish my dish, and was scared of getting food poisoning. The place seems kind of run down, and didn't smell great. They also don't accept tap as payment. I hope the restaurant(s) can do better in the future, because it's an interesting concept, but I won't be coming back. It's a great location, but the space is in need of a serious makeover, more staff to run the place, a proper menu, and better quality food.

Couple of times I ve ordered ahead and they didn t start making my food til I got there so I don t bother calling ahead anymore. But other than that it s good food and theyre nice folks.
I order this on Uber and I must say it was the worst I have ever had. Save your money and buy from some where else. The meat was under cooked. Myself and 2 others all got sick from eating here. Do not recommend and will never order from here again.

This is located in the Laurier Buffet restaurant. I was staying in the hotel across the street and ordered a wrap for lunch. Was very cheap and very good. Guy who runs the place is very nice as well. They did not seem to have a lot of customers that day, but I will go back when I am in the area again.
Just ordered from ubereats and was a little hesitant because I had never heard of the place but wow Im so impressed. The chicken is so moist and flavourful, rice is great, prices are unbeatable. Definitely will order again.
Beautiful restaurant right in the heart of downtown. Friendly and helpful staff. Incredible coffee! The lunch bowls were generously packed with meat, rice, and salad. Everything was affordable, too. Ill certainly come back.
OMG ! You absolutely have to try this hidden gem. I randomly ordered offer of uber eats cause I wanted to try something different and unique to me. I am from Trinidad and love extra extra spicy food and this restaurant caught my attention cause you can choose your spice level. Well they delivered 1000% !! I have had the beef bowl, chicken bowl and chicken wrap. All were delicious and tasty and the portions are above and beyond for the two for one price! Today they sent me extra food just to try and I felt badly cause I don t want them to lose money. So if you read this review just trust me and try it out. Choose your spice level it can be mild or it can be deadly the choice is yours. I have to say the beef bowl has been my favourite so far. It tastes like Caribbean Stew Beef which makes me miss home:! This place is a joke! They serve old and disgusting food! Got it delivered through ubereats and food stinks very bad! Never getting it from this place!!

Had a pretty dissapointing experience with them ordering via Uber Eats. I ordered 2 beef bowl and plantains, they cancelled the order saying they didnt have plantains. I ordered 2 beef bowls and some chicken, they cancelled the order saying they didnt have chicken. I finally just ordered the 2 bowls and they got here without the vegetables. It was just beef on rice, which was fine but not really what we ordered (based on the menu). Portion size is pretty small for the price, the taste is not bad but not having half your menu, cancelling customers orders, and not providing the items as listed when they order is not what Im looking for when ordering out.
The chicken and rice had the tastiest spices on them. Never had anything like it before. Highly recommend

WOW! I just ordered their $8.99 lunch special and it was amazing! The unique spices are flavorful and the chicken is not dry! Dont be fooled by the spice the spice level, I ordered the REAL ORIGINAL and it had me sweating. The restaurant is located in the old DAfrique restaurant in the basement. Definitely worth a visit! Make sure to call in advance if you plan on picking up your meal!
Worst pick up experience ever. They said my order would be ready at 8:05 minutes. I only got it at 8: 35. The restaurant kept the doors closed and was not answering the phone. So no way to know whats happening or when it is going to happen. If you like waiting cluelessly, you are at the right place.
