Went there Sunday with friends. It will be my last visit until management tells their employees to use gloves or wash their hands when they swipe their sweat from their forehead or work the cash. The guy there wiped his sweating forehead with his hand after, handled the cash and then took his dirty hands and put them all over the cone NOT where the paper film was. So gross!

After having just left the nearby McDs, the level of cleanliness of this property was outstandingly impressive. The staff were very friendly as well, keeping my food cold/hot, and making fresh chicken at 11pm. The cake artist was smooth as heck with the icing text on other customers cakes. I moved to this area in 2013 and this DQ has been my go-to restaurant. The staff are amazing, always very pleasant when I go in. Good conversation and lighthearted. ... Im a pickle lover. HUGE pickle lover. When I ask for extra pickles; they put the pickles on both sides of the pattie!! ... Lisa is there usually when I go, now she is an absolute gem! She is always the kindest and friendliest and always has a smile! Highly recommend visiting this location if youre in the mood for some DQ! Parking: Right beside the store. There are two rows of parking in the lot. There is also street parking as well

First visit was a great visit and will return. We just moved back to the area and found this gem last night after dinner.

We ordered a banana split and we were told after waiting 5 minutes that there were no bananas and had to wait. By the time we got it the ice cream had melted and it was very small not worth the money you spend..

Not many people know this but the burgers at DQ are really good. The only problem is that youll have no room for one of their famous desserts lol. If youve never tried it, order a peanut buster parfait. Salted peanuts with a hot fudge sauce and ice cream. Soooo good. EDIT: Came by again today. The place is clean, including the mens washroom and one of the employees was walking around outside picking up garbage in 30degree weather

The Google description of amenities mentions there is a wheelchair accessible entrance? Could someone please contact me to let me know where the button is, as I mustve overlooked it when I last tried to visit. Other than a broken down area of the curb near the sidewalk, I mustve also overlooked a ramp, so it was difficult to get close enough with my walker to see if I would be able to get into the building. I ended up going elsewhere.

Food is amazing, no question about that, but the service is unprofessional and rude. We came about 3 hours before closing had some burgers, ice cream and a few sides. Half of the items were missing. We came back and they told us they couldn t do anything about it while being very rude, the lady kept rolling her eyes and had a very heavy attitude.

The girl that waited on us. Her name was Lisa. She was absolutely amazing. I m sure she is a great asset to the Dairy Queen.

The last time I went here (about a week ago) the place was dirty, the lighting was poor, decor was very worn. The staff member messed up my order but it was quite loud in their defense. Ice cream is mediocre but your get lots of choice with customization, so at least theres that.

What really got me was that when the girl asked to take our order, she literally ignored us, talked to the other clerk working there, then took our order we asked for two small cones and she gave us a plastic cup with soft ice cream in it. Not to mention over priced for a small. It tasted weird I will not be back to this location. Its not very clean or a friendly spot.

It s a beautiful day in ottawa. Spent the afternoon walking thru Andrew Hayden Park, and decided to take my 4 girls and wife to DQ for a treat. We waited in line, and I ordered 3 coconut dilly bars and 2 blizzards. I was quickly told they didn t sell the dairy free dilly individually and I had to purchase a box. I quickly questioned that and told them I didn t want a box, and once again was told, I needed to purchase an entire box. I ve never been to this location, but Carlingwood, Merivale and Barrhaven don t make me purchase a BOX when I don t want a box. 90% of the time we purchase a single bar for my daughter who has a dairy allergy and other items, which I should add, cost a lot more then the box would cost. I wonder how many other walk out of this location due to silliness of their policies. Dietary restrictions: My eldest daughter has a sever dairy allergy. I know how that sounds, but we were avid DQ people until she was born and we found out. With DQ introducing the coconut dilly bars it has allowed us to start frequenting there again.

The manager refused to give me water in a cup!! She put it in a ketchup cup!!! The cheapest manager i have ever seen!! When i asked for mayo she wanted to charge me!! I face this at many Indian (asia) owned franchises they tend to give low class service, bad english, lesser milk in coffee on purpose, cardboard spoons at tims, and the list goes on and on, waiting times are horrible because they hire lesser staff to save and the poor lonely staff has yo serve everybody, they get exhausted, all because of one miserable cheap owner (mainly happens with India owners) not all offcourse but many even at DQ, BK, etc

Major Fail. Order two large Vanilla shakes. Not only did the two orders after us get served first. What we were served was inedible. I actually held it up side down like a blizzard. Large lump of ice cream in a cup. Smelled of synthetic vanilla really bad. And when some liquid eventually made it up the new narrower cardboard straw all you could taste was bad synthetic vanilla. And no I am done with this location nothing but bad service and bad reviews. I do not care what the owner replies. This location sucks. Words mean nothing. Train your employees my money was wasted on this product.

I ordered a strawberry cheesecake blizzard with extra cheesecake pieces on DoorDash. I paid for the extra cheesecake pieces. When I received my blizzard, there were literally only 3 cheesecake pieces in the entire medium blizzard. Very disappointed and dissatisfied and will not be ordering from this location again.

I thought it might just be a fluke but the last 3 times I ve visited the blizzards no longer have the pieces of your flavouring all the way to the bottom like they used to. Not sure if it s just this location or DQ getting cheap but it s disappointing!

She said they are charging for bananas extra 1.40 plus tax each She said owner decides the prices and she can t do anything about it My question is that owner doesn t follow the franchise prices every Dairy Queen stores follow ???? Never go there again ? Very disappointed

Cant seem to get an order right. Ordered onion rings, got lrg fry, triple stack burger, no tomatoes, got tomatoes..ughh! Burger was awful! Horrendous! Dry and tasteless. What a complete waste of $$! Tried calling 6x, no answer. Lost my business. One job, read order, make order, quality food check. When you can not do the simplist of tasks, take extra $$ for onion rings and then do not answer phone.. Incompetent or lack of training?

This location is great for ice cream products but that s it, I d avoid food at all costs. All the bad reviews are about the food at this location and I ve seen it myself. Usually I take the kids for a treat of ice cream and order a French fry, loads of times I ll end up with onion rings, or it ll take 40 minutes to get the French fries even though there s about 10 workers inside and only 2 customers inside. I ve sat there with my kids eating ice cream watching people come in and get the wrong burgers constantly, and having to wait 30 minutes to be corrected, overall I love this DQ for ice cream for the kids but I d recommend avoiding any food here, you re better off going to McDonald s, KFC or Harvey s close by and still probably get your food right and faster then this place will ever do it.

This my second time at this DQ. the first time was a real joke. I ordered hamburger and after the lady added the lettuce, tomatoes, condiments she actually put it in the microwave. This visit was simple, just ordered chocolate milkshake. I watched as she added the milk but it was a lot. Then she added the syrup and ice cream and mixed them. It came out as a runny drink not a shake. Had to complain so she added more ice cream to make it thicker. Will definitely be avoiding this place in the future.

I am never disappointed when I visit this business, and am always happy with my treats from DQ. Parking: I have always been able to find a parking spot there. Kid-friendliness: I often see teams coming in after practice for a treat

We ordered a strawberry Sunday with hot fudge and marshmallow and the girl had no idea how to make it, she put the hot chocolate fudge on the bottom with the marshmallow sauce and then just poured strawberries on it. Was not good. I believe if you are going to buy a franchise you need to know how to make the things properly. Wont go there again.

STOP MICROWAVING THE CHICKEN WRAPS. Seriously, this is the only location that does this. Nobody wants soggy chicken and burning hot lettuce.
