The service was disappointing. While the waitress was kind and polite, it was clear the restaurant was understaffed, with only one chef and one waitress to serve all the customers. It took an hour for our food to arrive, which was frustrating. A major concern for me was that the chef was not wearing a hairnet, which is a significant hygiene issue. We ordered the special tray for two, but the portion size was inadequate it barely served one person. The kebabs were extremely small, and the rice portion was insufficient for two people. Additionally, we ordered Mirza Ghasemi, but it was far from the traditional dish. It resembled a watery omelette with a hint of eggplant and large chunks of onions. The dishs color was unnaturally yellow, making it unappetizing. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and there are several areas for improvement, especially in staffing, portion sizes, and food quality.

The ambience was excellent Nd Paniz served us. She was really sweet Nd we loved the food too.

Went for lunch today to the Preston location and was disappointed. We were a group of 9 and had been previously advised we could get the buffet or order a la carte. The server told us it was buffet only. The buffet consisted of 6 items and included in the six was one type of soup and one type of salad. For $24.99 I don t think you get your money s worth. We were served water, never asked if we wanted anything else to drink and once the buffet was ready we only saw the server once to refill our water. No interaction with us until it came time to pay the bill. Given that there were no other customers in the restaurant at the time there really was no excuse for the lack of service. On a good note - the 6 items offered were tasty particularly the meat and the decor is beautiful. I think this location has potential but needs to work on the lunch time service and offerings.

Really bad customer service and really bad food. We ordered a chicken Parmesan and they gave us chicken strips with no cheese.

Service standards are poor. Atmosphere feel more like a b-class night club than it does fine dining. Most importantly, the food quality sucked! My New York strip loin w/mash potatoes ($40). Steak was flavourless, thin, over cooked. Mash potatoes looked like instant mash or baby food. Veggies included one small piece of broccoli and bits of carrot. Terrible. At least my beer was cold.

I m really sorry to leave a negative review, but I ve always been happy with the Persis restaurant at Moodie Dr, so I thought all the branches would be the same. However, after visiting this one today, I was very disappointed. The food, quality, and portion sizes were not the same it was a big difference. It didn t meet the high standard I usually expect from Persis. The decor is nice, but that s not enough for a restaurant. I don t think I ll be coming back here again.

The food was excellent and the restaurant itself was very well decorated and upscale feeling. My only complaint/concern is the style of the host and servers uniforms. They were very scantily clad, incredibly short skirts and tank tops. I don t know if that style really fits the theme of the decor/vibe. Although I loved the food I don t think this is the type of place I could bring my family based on the uniforms alone.

Last night we had a birthday party at this restaurant, and the food was not bad for some of the members but for others it was cold, it was nice and hot for others and the quality of food was good but the worst thing was the service we were waiting for Food for 2 1/2 hours and they didn t provide any snacks or any bread or anything so. Everybody was hungry. They didn t even serve the drinks first the service was terrible . The owner then came to our table and apologized and said their cook and chef was sick. He had a heart attack, I am sorry to hear that but what the restaurant should ve done was actually cancel our booking because we had booked our table 2 weeks before so the restaurant should ve known this that this night is going to be very busy. They had two birthday parties there, but their service was terrible. Our guest were hungry and the food that came for some people was cold. We literally just sat there drank water for 2 1/2 hours till our food arrived

Waiting time is in sync with Ottawa Hospital ER. Its been 2 hours since we ordered and nothing yet. And to answer to your reply: It was the second time at your place: first time I was asked to move from a table to another (another unfortunate circumstance?), waited forever for food (again), then food was cold. And i was offered a brandy to compensate. Similar to last night. I understand unfortunate circumstances but when they become a routine... . I dont think you understand your customers do not come to waste time, have microwaved food, and get whatever compensations. No worries, I will never bother you again.

I invited my friends who were visiting from Toronto to dine at Persis Grill - their branch on Preston. Everyone loved the food and relaxing, elegant atmosphere and the friendly professional service. Their menu offers European and Persian cuisine. We all tried the Persian (Iranian) menu. Succulent kebobs and flavourful appetizers. Accompanied by side salad and saffron rice. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Eggplant dish is very good.

Its not a typical fine dining place, but the food and services are great. Parking is a pain to find, but it isnt too bad. Food : 5/5

We frequent their Bells Corners location due to proximity to our home and recently tried the Preston location. Once for dinning in and once for a large catering order. Exceeded the expectations on both occasions! Upscale ambiance with attentive serving staff and exquisite food. Food tastes fantastic and is of high quality and fresh ingredients. Kabobs are delicious and grilled to perfection. Their catering service is unparalleled, delivery was on time, serving staff were super diligent and polite. Food was delivered hot and was set up professionally. The owner showed up before serving to ensure everything is to our satisfaction. Our guests (40+ppl) were amazed by the quality of food and the presentation and were commenting for the rest of the night! Cant say enough about our fantastic experience with Persis Grill.

I booked a reservation for 10 at Persis Grill on Monday, September 2nd, excited to celebrate my partner s birthday in what I thought would be a fabulous setting. The restaurant, while empty at 6 PM, looked stunning little did I know that the beautiful decor would be the highlight of the evening. From the get-go, it was clear that PANIZ, our server, was in way over her head. I get it everyone has to start somewhere, but when you re the only server in the entire restaurant, struggling to keep up with basic drink orders, it quickly becomes a problem. Oh, and let s not forget that the lone cook in the kitchen had to step out to mix cocktails too. Efficient? Not in the slightest. After an excruciating hour, food finally started to make its way to our table cold, of course, because PANIZ was busy seating new customers while our plates got cold. By the time she dropped the last dish on the table at 7:40 PM, I knew better than to wait for the bill to magically appear. I asked for it immediately, predicting the slow-motion train wreck that was about to unfold. And unfold it did. We waited a solid 45 minutes for the bill, and when it still hadn t arrived, I had to stand next to the cash register like a forgotten purse until PANIZ finally printed it. Imagine my shock when I saw an 18% gratuity automatically added for parties of 8 or more. Really, PANIZ? For that level of service? As if that wasn t enough, she charged us for a flat beer we had sent back. But by that point, we were so late for our comedy show, we just paid and ran out. We arrived at the show late, the birthday celebration thoroughly ruined by what can only be described as a dining disaster. When we confronted PANIZ, she just laughed and said she was busy. Busy doing what, exactly, remains a mystery. Persis Grill, you have all the makings of a great restaurant, but with service like this, your potential is gathering dust. I wouldn t recommend you to anyone unless PANIZ gets some serious customer service training or at the very least, more help.

It was fantastic! The Iranian dish was awesome. I made Koobideh kebab myself, but theirs was amazing with fresh meat. I also liked their chicken kebabs, although they were a bit expensive.

The food was fantastic. The service was terrible. Very slow. We repeatedly had to call the server over to remove dishes and glasses, to place orders for drinks, food, etc...you know the basics of her job. Most of the time she was standing around doing nothing. I was there for over 2 hours and not once did she come to refill water (which I drank within the first 5 mins of being there). We asked for our bill as soon as the food came as we had a show to get to. well over 30 mins after our food arrived and after asking another 2 times we finally got the bills. Since we were a large group they automatically added an 18% tip. when I asked if we had an option I was told no. I know this is standard at some restaurants and I usually dont have an issue with it but when the service is so terrible it is outrageous to be required to give such a generous tip. What would motivate a server to do a good job if they get a good tip regardless? Sadly I dont think I will be back. That said, the kabobs were delicious.

Persia signature cocktail is the best cocktail I ve ever had. I had this with the fillet mignon which cooked perfectly. It s the best steak you can find in Ottawa for sure.

Unfortunately our whole group had a very frustrating experience here recently. Our friends held a big event and while the staff kindly rearranged the tables and created a dance floor amid the classy decor, there werent enough seats for everyone; so we had to wait 30min for extra tables to be set up for about 10 of us. Meanwhile tickets were sold in advance so it wasnt a surprise that that many people were there. Next, this place is not at all like the Persis Grill of Orleans. The menu is much more expensive but especially, the dish comes with no bread, soup nor salad (which it does at the Orleans location). Also, there is a grand total of about 5 Persian items on the menu :(( the rest is all Italian food but there are so many Italian restaurants on the same street so if people are coming to Persis Grill, theyre expecting Persian food, not primarily Italian... The calamari was pretty good and the vaziri was quite tasty; meat was prepared and grilled well. But there was very little rice which is atypical for a Persian dish. What really bothered us though, was the incredibly poor service unfortunately. The waitress was loudly arguing with a guy at our table due to an order mix-up... They also charged us all before bringing any food - I have never seen that before... Some of us were performing so we werent at the tables all the time and the waitress kept trying to take our food. In the end, I only ate half of my 40+$ dish because she put bowls and stuff from another dish into mine, to take it away; then when I told her I hadnt finished yet because we were still clearly performing, she stuck her hands into my plate to take out the extra stuff she had put in and expected me to eat what remained... Needless to say, I left the place hungry after paying $$$ Plus, there were other basic things that were missed (no spoons, no extra water, etc) but I will leave it at that

I came here with my husband last week, the server Yasmine was absolutely disrespectful and had a bad odour of cigarettes. I had asked her to get me a cup of ice for my beverage and she replied I ll do it when I have time, I m busy. I would not recommend coming here even if it s your last meal option.

We hit up Persis with a crew of 12 and it was awesome. We ordered a bunch of different dishes which were prepared on time, and each one was a winner. The place has a nice vibe thats both chill and pretty. And a shoutout to Jasmine! She was super sweet and took care of us like we were VIPs.

Best calamari Ive EVER had. No exaggeration. Amazing dip for it. Great patio atmosphere on Preston st. Very reasonable prices for the rather higher scale ambiance. I think it almost looks too posch for what it actually is so people dont stop to check the prices because they assume they are high. Those who do stop to look at the menu prices are surprised and and most stay for a table. Service was friendly but a little bit distracted, had to ask for my cutlery and napkin, was told they didnt have Heineken, ordered a beer that I didnt end up liking and THEN was told they DID have Heineken. Again, friendly, good prices, unreal calamari but I think waitresses are hired rather for looks and perhaps age (creepy) than knowledge and attention to details. This is not a knock on the wait and hostess staff by the way, everyone starts somewhere, I just felt like the manager/owner had a rather creepy/authoritive and dominating disposition to a very young staff group. Atmosphere great, prices great, calamari amazing, inexperienced staff and sketchy owner or manager are concerning. I dont write just to write, Ive been in the business for years with very good situational awareness. I almost felt like maybe the young staff were nervous of the manager thus causing mistakes. Ive been wrong before however and just reporting on a funny vibe.

Great spot. We visited Preston for the Italian Festival and tried a few places that seemed less than eager to have us. When we landed at Persis, the hostess was bubly and positive, and answered my questions. The gentlemen that also met us at the door had a big smile and made us feel welcome. The restaurant is clean, and the ambience is classy. The food was incredible... the rib steak was seriously worth it - tender, tasty, and cooked to perfection. Long story short, we will be back. To the owner: keep up the great work!

The overall decor and atmosphere with the live music was good, but unfortunately the kebabs were room temperature, and service was poor. They charge $8 for beers, but charged me $13.50 for a shirley temple, didnt make sense. We were never asked if we wanted a second drink, took forever to receive our drink orders to the point where people who had arrived 20 and 40 min after others, received their drink before people who were on time for the reservation.

The staff was very friendly and the decor was very tasteful. However, the food left something to be desired especially for the price point. We ordered the koobideh kebab and chicken stew. The koobideh kebab was not too bad - fairly flavourful and balanced, and you get two kebabs and saffron rice in one serving. The chicken stew, however, was not great. It was too tangy and sweet for some reason.

Very beautiful place, definitely amazing for a date or family gathering. Knowing other branches of persis grill, I went there to have a Iranian cusine. Definitely not an Iranian restaurant and I don t recommend it as one , but that seafood pasta was to die for! Scallops, shrimp, and oyster were very fresh and cooked into perfection. Sauce also amazing and creamy.Also, I loved that I had an option to choose between penne and fettuccine. Honestly we didn t like barg kabab , although the meat tasted ok, but as I said this place is mostly not for Iranian cuisine. Additionally such nice and friendly staff, They were very helpful, and amazing. Definitely will go back as I found it to be amazing for date night, and want to try different dishes that they offer

We were so excited to go to this restaurant, but it is not like Persis Grill, unlike the other two locations. The number of Iranian food items on the menu is very few. They don t serve salad or soup alongside your main course like other two locations. If you want to select salad, you can have it instead of rice. There is no saffron with rice or tomatoes with kabab. Iranian kabab is always served with saffron and tomato. They served us rare barg kabab without asking! The kabab was so rare, even rarer than rare steak. I have never experienced rare kabab in my life, and I didn t know that any restaurant would do that. I am so unhappy about this experience. There is no Iranian food at this location. They have barg kabab on the menu, but who serves rare barg kabab without saffron or tomato? The only positive thing was the decoration of the restaurant, which was good, but nothing like the other two locations.

It was excellent. The steak was wonderful, I love it. Seafood pasta was fresh and perfect. Setvice was nice. The Staff were friendly. Definitely I will go back and try another dishes that they offer.

We ordered Calamari as an appetizer and the grilled chicken dishes. The Calamari was heavily bread and very greasy. The Chicken dishes were undercooked. We had to bring it back to the kitchen twice. We didn t get charged for the main dishes however it was a disappointing night out.

As someone who grew up eating Persian food, I can say with confidence that Persis Grill is the real deal. The ingredients are fresh, the recipes are authentic, and the flavors are spot-on. The Fesenjan in particular is a standout dish - the combination of chicken, walnuts, and pomegranate creates a rich and complex flavor that is truly unforgettable. The ambiance of the restaurant is also lovely, with a cozy and intimate atmosphere that is perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. I will definitely be returning to Persis Grill in the future.

My partner and I were soo excited that a Persian restaurant was opening in our neighbourhood. The menu looked great online, so we went for opening night with some friends. For a restaurant that is advertised as Persian we were sad to see that only two options on the menu were Persian cuisine. The other items were Italian or other modern cuisines (i.e. Greek salad, Alfredo pasta, filet mignon). We opted to get joojeh kabob and koobideh - the two Persian items available. While the flavours were nice, the plates arrived at room temperature, and the portions were small. Typically with kabobs, a plate would include a grilled tomato, maybe a salad, and some saffron rice or sumac seasoning. You can see in the picture we got about 3 pieces of lettuce and two small potatoes with the rice. It was a bit strange. Our friends did not get the best introduction to Persian cuisine with this dinner, which is a shame. We hope the management might consider altering the menu to include more Persian options and to make sure the food is served hot and presentable.

Nice interior design and all but the food served was okay - kabab should be sizzling hot when it arrives on the table, not room temperature. Portions were relatively small and there was no saffron rice to make the plates presentable. Most of the menu options were also not Persian dishes (none of the apps were Persian).

Brilliant. The food was amazing and the service excellent. Service was one of the best I ve had. They were attentive, friendly and accommodating. Absolutely divine food. I d eat here weekly if I could. The service and ambience is elegant and stylish while also being friendly and relaxed. Terrific, knowledgeable server.
