Queen Street Fare is a gem in Ottawa! The food hall has a lively atmosphere and an amazing variety of options. Their tapas/appetizers/finger foods are exceptional—perfectly prepared, flavorful, and great for sharing. A must-visit spot for casual dining or a quick bite with friends!
Great selection of quality food from local vendors. Had pizza from Wicked Pizza and chicken tenders from Capitol city burgers. Both were tasty and fresh
Great happy hour with a relaxed ambience in the core of downtown Ottawa. Drinks were so cheap you can't ever go wrong. The food options are hit or miss, some of my favourites are the Mercaditos, Capitol Burger and Wicked Good Pizza
Only 4 stars because I didn't get a chance to eat here but it is an upscale food court beside Government offices. Always guaranteed to be busy at lunch and after work. if you do come these times just make sure to bring your patience! Everything is self serve so get your seat first! The bar served up pretty great cocktails and the food options were plentiful. I intend to make a visit back.
There was the pride event hosted here for PSPN 2024.. It was amazing!! Loved the venue, great stage for DJ and the bar was excellent for drinks. The ambience was all in all awesome. I hope they do it again here next year
Great Venue - When everything has become the same old, this place offers entertainment that you won't see at the other venues. Nice stage, great beer selection, and great staff.
Queen St. Fare Food Court is the ultimate foodie hangout, where you'll find a little bit of everything under one roof. Tucked right in the heart of the city, it's a food paradise with a casual and friendly vibe. The space is cool and comfy, perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. It's bright, which is mood-lifting, and you'll always find it buzzing during lunchtime. Now, let's talk grub. Mexican, coffee, pizza, salads, Vietnamese fusion, burgers – you name it, they've got it. Craving some spicy tacos? They've got you covered. Need a caffeine fix? Swing by the coffee bar. Want a slice of cheesy heaven? Pizza's on the menu. Trying to keep it healthy? The salads are fresh and tasty. And if you're feeling adventurous, the fusion Vietnamese dishes are a must-try. A great place to visit if you work downtown.
Me and friend had an amazing time here The food was good and the people were nice. Didn't take long for our food to be made. The atmosphere was really nice. The only downside was that the drinks were a little pricey.
I like the variety of choices here. It is very accessible, with automated doors everywhere. It is very popular amongst government workers and therefore far too busy to go to in the middle of the work week! Wheelchair accessibility: When it isnt busy, this place is very accessible and an inclusive space to gather!
Great
Its a huge place and very noisy, especially when the big event is happening
Todays food was average. The fryer oil probably needed to get changed as things just did not taste the way that they should
Will continue to go back for sure
Beautiful vibe to just network with people or go out with coworkers after work Vegetarian options: All stations have some vegetarian offerings
Cheeseburger west coast
Mercaditio burrito bowl is my favorite.
I was there for an after-hours event. The food vendors were not open. Everything else was great!
They whined for years to have public servants return to office, and we come back to some wannabe bouncer policing where people sit based on what part of the building they bought their food from. Thanks for the reminder of why I never want to spend a single cent while downtown. Eat fresh.
Great fir lunch very busy lots of choices fir food
The place is A ROCKIN!!!
Only had drinks, but the 338 Mango Margarita really slaps! Especially in this heat !!
The food and atmosphere is great to get lunch witb colleagu3s, however the tables needed to be a bit more clean
Very big food court, airy, extremely bright and busy (at least on RTO says). Lots of options, nothing cheap esp drinks but there is a water fountain. Many tables. Worth a shot if you are out hunting for lunch.
Depending on what you like to eat it is all pretty good. I love the nashville chicken sando from the burger joint here. Probably my favorite in the city! Very busy at lunch time.
We went for a weekend event. It was a pretty fun 80s and Disco party and the bar staff were amazing! The only downside is that the kitchens are not open on the weekend so attendees should grab dinner ahead of time. I recommend Mulligans across the street.
The service is excellent.
Enjoyable moment in time with friends nfamily members togetherness have so much fun n laughter, good foods n others stuffs.
Nice event space.
Ive gone here for dancing events. Lots of space to do that. All of the food places are closed during that time, after 7PM.
Super friendly with musical group
Good venue to host events. Clean, friendly staff, and tasty snacks.
This is a great place for a private party. Lots of variety in food choice. Intimate and cozy.
Honestly such a great place for an afternoon drink and theyre happy hour is a steal!
I attended an event at this location. It was an interesting set up with different food sections and a bar. Each food section offered different varieties and was delicious.
The great venue with different types of eateries ( the food kiosks close earlier ) also hosts music events that you can enjoy while having something to drink at the bar( it stays open for the concerts)
Was excited to check out the place to get more food for lunch. Was stopped by two guards in the entrance, new policy does not allow if youre carrying take out food from outside (mostly from the Olly Frescos) because you might take up space. Even if youre just browsing to get more food for take out and dont even plan on dining in. Already bought lunch outside but just want Bar Robo coffee to go? You can forget it. A turn off to be honest, been in food hall markets in NY, Montreal, and just last week in Europe and was never stopped like this even after explaining how were just browsing/taking out. People buy different take outs for lunch and cant even browse without leaving your food outside in a table. I understand the reasoning behind (space for paying customers) but it seems just more of an elitist gesture to keep a certain social demographic away so people who buy their overpriced food can eat in peace.
Great after work drinks spot with amazing happy hour deals but stay for the DJ nights, trivia, and shows. Staff is super friendly and cocktails are really good.
amazing place. but, if you just wana pick up your daily lunch, not to eat in. its a food court during the day, they dont let you in if you have a bottle water or coffee in your hands . you can loose clients (daily lunch ) because of that. lots of people work in that building office, you get stop by mall guards. not a way to treat client, and am talking from alot of people from the building. i
Was there for a Burlesque performance and it was fantastic! Highly recommend attending a show by the Rougettes. It was great!
Jazz show on Thursday at 7pm, all food vendors are closed. It makes for a cheap evening, but very odd business decisions on the vendors part. The place is packed with people walking around, wondering where they can get food during the show. Special thumb down to The Green Rebel employee who let my friend wait in front of their counter for 10 minutes while she was serving someone else only to tell my friend that it was now 7 and they were closed. Had she spoken before, my friend might have had time to order elsewhere. Last time I was here for jazz there was food all evening. Unlikely to visit again. Money spent among a group of friends: $0. Thanjs for the cheap evening. :-D
Having been to QSF a number of times and enjoying the ambiance and food, I suggested to a friend that we meet there to eat and hang out and chat at our lunch time. I brought my own food, and he bought a pizza from Fiazza (10/10 pizza, btw). Totally fine! But theres some bouncer looking dude who will give attitude to anyone who brought their own food to this space, and tell them that theyre undermining our whole profit thing here. I understand that its a food court space, however its also the middle of winter and not everyone who wants to eat away from their offices will want to pay money (that they may not be able to spare, in this economy), just to be able to sit somewhere to eat un-harassed. Even though the food is amazing, I will never go back here now. It was beyond frustrating to see him hovering around tables looking for someone to give attitude to, around a bunch of people who are just trying to enjoy their lunch hour away from work.
Great place for casual drinks and food.
Free water, very good west coast cheeseburger. Staff a little cold at multiple establishments
Its a different restaurant inside, the Mexican and pizza and hamburger restaurants are my favourite...
Love this area, many choices in restaurants. I work in downtown Ottawa so this place is perfect.
Solid eats and good service!
No regard of the safety of others. The roads were so bad last night and QSF decided to carry on with their Canadas Drag Race viewing party. You guys are lucky that none of your customers died or got in an accident. I hope making money was worth it.
Horrible acoustic.
Always good band playing;)
We had the pizza here, great taste, and would highly recommend it.
Super cool spot. Glad Ottawa has something like this!
Its an amazing place. You have different options to eat, Mexican and Thai food, pizza or burgers
Their live music is the pits (think Nickelback), overpriced admission charge just to have a beer at the bar, door staff only takes cash (welcome to 2023) and to add insult to injury, they wont make change for a larger bill. Boooooo.
I went for the first time there for a Meetup and it has tons of space to socialize. The cocktail selection seems to rotate on seasonal flavours and were delicious! ($15+ each, so budget accordingly)
Casual place to grab a quick lunch. All the spots are tasty!
Great choices, but pricey.
This is an amazing venue, food was great and bartenders were very good. Selection of food and on tap craft beer was outstanding. Something for everyone.
As essentially a fast food food court, above average. Not gourmet but well above basic fast food.
Great atmosphere. Food options are abundant, its a but pricey but very clean dinning area and nice big screen to watch the soccer games
I loved all the events happening there but I would like to have a calendar of times coming up in the future.
Good variety of options although not everything is really beyond what you would expect. Pretty crowded at lunch time and not enough seats
Friendly atmosphere.
Great experience, great live music
Nice food, fast service, great spot for a quick lunch.
Nice food court in the downtown area. Various events throughout the year.
Great restaurants!
Nice atmosphere. Lots of choices.
Excellent food court. A must location for lunch for the downtown business professional.
Great food. Good atmosphere. Good spot for a casual business meeting in the heart of Centretown.
Food court is great but would not recommend attending a concert here due to lack of seating and obstructed views. The NAC is just up the street and has reasonably priced performances in proper studios/stages. It would also make sense for them to keep at least a couple of the food outlets open during concerts - they d do a lot of business!
Lots of options for food incl salads, coffee, burgers and sandwiches, burritos, noodles, drinks. Prices are about as expected these days. Lovely multipurpose space and conveniently located outside Parliament station.
Super cute place that has something for everyone! From pho to burrito bowls and pizza to falafel, there are plenty of options to satisfy all tastes.
heavily mediocre. If you find yourself there for the food....please love yourself more
Super busy but food is good. Lots of options. Lots of seating.
Fresh and good and ecological!
Awesome layout and neat way to do food. Havent been for Live musuc but bet its fun.
Guy in red shirt, working night of may 19th, threw a drink at a customer! Absolutely insane! Total loser! Wont come back!
Food was good, fries a bit too salty.
Excellent service. Great bar selections. Look forward to trying some fare next trip.
I really like one of the burrito bowls I get here from Mercadito. I have been here only a handful of times tho but its fairly close to work so its great. Their pulled pork power bowl is delicious and they offer very good portions. And even when its super busy you usually dont have to wait longer than 10 minutes to be served. Great staff too.
A quick, simple, low-cost food court in downtown Ottawa.
Great venue with good food selection and a nice bar. Going on the live music nights is a great experience!
Good but expensive
Great food in general, but too expensive for what it is.
I went for lunch I had Mexican was quite good. As a few other options as well,it was clean and somewhat organized for how busy it was.
It was good but the cooking was uneven from one pizza to another
Food overpriced. Will not be back.
Lots of variety, fresh food, friendly service, great atmosphere
It is a cosy busy place. Food is amazing and atmosphere. The place can get busy but it is cosy.
Queen St. Fare is conveniently located in downtown Ottawa in the Sunlife financial center. The hours of operation are a bit everywhere. Let me explain, we went for a late lunch (3 pm) and found that many of the vendors had already closed up. Opening up again later in the evening. We found Capitol Burger open to enjoy great food and service. Everything was clean and well though off. They even have a corner with water and glasses for those who are thirsty. The bathrooms were very clean. They have live music and events. I would suggest looking up their social networks or webpage to see the full schedule. Also, keep in mind they dont do reservations. Arrive early and set some places aside. Parking is limited during the week but free on weekends at the World Exchange Plaza. Again, really enjoyed my experience at Queen St Fare. The food was delicious (Capitol Burger), the decor was great, it was comfortable, and I would most definitely recommend for a quick lunch or a night in the town. They even offer brunches during the weekend. --- --- --- Queen St. Fare is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa, in the Sunlife Financial Centre. Opening hours are flexible. Let me explain, we went to lunch late (3 p.m.) and found that many vendors had already closed their doors. Some for the day, others to reopen later, despite the hours displayed on the website. We still found an open vendor: Capitol Burger! Where we opened enjoyed excellent burgers and great service. It was really very, very good! The meat was juicy. Fresh bread. The fries? Excellent! The place was clean and tidy. The bathroom was very clean too. In the dining room there is even station with water and glasses for those who prefer tap water. They have live music and events. I would suggest checking out their social media or webpage to see the full schedule. Also remember that they dont take reservations. Arrive early and reserve a few seats if you are a group. Parking is limited during the week but free on weekends at World Exchange Plaza. Once again, I really enjoyed my experience at Queen Street Fare . The food was delicious (Capitol Burger), the decor was good, it was cozy. I recommend it without hesitation for a quick lunch, a happy hour or for a dinner with friends. They even offer brunch options on the weekends. --- --- --- Queen St. Fare is conveniently located in the center of Ottawa, in the Sunlife financial center. The warning times are a short time in all parts. Me explained, we were late at night (3 p.m.) and discovered that many of the sellers were living at the time of the announcement on the website. We got to live again later. Enjoy Capitol Burger and enjoy our excellent food and service. All this is clear and ordered. Includes a station with water and containers for cooling. The bath is very clean Live music and late night/late night events. Suggest that you can access the social networks on the web page to see the full program. Furthermore, there are some reasons that you do not have reservations. Leguen temprano to give a good taste. Parking is limited during the week, but free of charge for the end of the week at the World Exchange Plaza. Una vez más, disfruté mucho de mi experiencia en Queen St Fare . The food was delicious (Capitol Burger), the decor and the environment were pleasant, the place was comfortable. We definitely recommend it for a quick trip or a night in the city. Included is a brunch during the end of the week.
A lovely late evening listening to jazz . This was free and no pressure to purchase anything which in turn is very inviting to actually purchase a nice drink and enjoy. I go there time to time and would definitely recommend. Specially if you want a pressure free evening to just .. relax!
Great place where several varied restaurants meet. You can eat inside with more than 300 seats.
Favourite little area for a workday lunch. Great relaxed atmosphere with lots of seating and delicious food options. Does get busy around 12 so I go before or after then. My only qualm is that they are not open on weekends because I like it here so much!
One of the best places to get a cheeseburger like it was homemade. The western style is my favourite! Crinkle cut fries are crisp and tasty especially with chipotle sauce.
Easily accessible from Ottawa downtown by foot or OC Transpo. Great to grab a drink after work.
Nice place and excelente food
Great food at the us a food hall with great food from Fiazza and Green Rebel. Be prepared for a large crowd and go early to grab a table!
The food was good
Attended a private party and everything was lovely!
Always bustling with people, good variety of tasty food and a great atmosphere. Prices are a bit high but understandable given the location and there is usually a good wait during the lunch hour.
Fish tacos are incredible!
Great band
I love this place. It reminds me of a European food court, especially when theres live music. I will go out of my way to eat there a couple times a week if I can
Why do the restaurants close at 7 if jazz night only starts at 7? :(
Solid
Nice live music venue. Live jazz bands playing every Wednesday night from 7-10 pm. No cover. Most food stalls are still closed except mercando and burger place. Hopefully everything will open shortly.
Great venue
Fair.....get it?
Went on a Saturday after checking the website for the opening hours of the restaurants. Arrived at 6pm and all the doors leading to the interior were locked. Bar Robo was setting up for an event opening at 8pm. The only reason the venue gets even 2 stars on because the service at the Bar Robo event was decent. I can see the design being a hit when the restaurants are actually open AS POSTED ON THE DOOR AND WEBSITE. But it was a major let down to have to find somewhere else in the area to eat after checking the opening hours online beforehand.
Live jazz band on Wednesday nights. Very cool and entertaining!
I joined some friends there on Wednesday evening. There was a jazz fusion band. There is a bar and a fast food area. We had a drink and ate. Good friendly atmosphere.
Lots of tasty options, great for a work lunch or date night when they have live music.
Pleasant band, good performance, nice place, nice concept. Sound was a bit too loud though and a bit difficult to hear their voices over the music in some places and at times. Would have appreciated more food options being open and for longer through the performance. Good experience overall
Always impressed by Queen St. Fare. Tables are clean, the restaurants are quick and nice, and the vibe is great (during lunch with coworkers and after work!). Highly recommended. The different restaurants involved will satisfy any crowd.
Very nice place with good atmosphere.
So much choice. So little time....
Food is decent, nothing wow. On the expensive side thats for sure but they are in downtown so I guess it is to be expected
Cute, fun place in the evening, great for comedy, drag, and small concerts. There s hardly anything open (if anything) in terms of food after 5 or 6, which makes evening events challenging. With the bar open, it would be nice to have some food options right there, too. It s also very loud - too loud for a small space. I couldn t hear the people at my table and left with a headache. Bring ear plugs and don t plan on having conversations here.
Got Pad Thai here because the place I normally go further down Queen Street was closed. This place was way more expensive and a smaller portion. It tasted good though. Will keep going to Red Pepper Thai down the street though once it re-opens. Cheaper option for lunch.
Clean and lots of options.
Good selection for lunches. A bit on the pricey side
Great food, good service, non-ecological disposable plates and cutlery.
After driving 40 minutes to go eat at QSF, surprise... Everything is closed despite posting hours that they close at 8pm on Fridays. I get it... Covid... But that doesnt excuse a simple adjustment to your hours out of respect for your clients.
Very comfortable place for lunch time.
Lots of variety, wifi available, and friendly service.
The servers here are the best, always make trivia night that much better!
Interesting venue. Limited but good selection of beers. No Caesar.
Its a bit confusing and dark. Even tho there is a sign for the bathroom going down that dark alley to find it is off-putting.
Had an amazing time there so much fun
I was there for a function and not regular dining and onky had drinks which were good. The concept was interesting, its like a sophisticated food court.
All the restaurants in one location is very nice and creates a nice ambiance, the bar is also really great
Some great unique beers on tap.
Great variety of food
Tried the location for the first time recently and settled on the Mexican restaurant,. The service was good and so was the food. Really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
Love it!
