Went to Happy Greek/World Burger for dinner to celebrate a birthday this evening. Our family is greek and we really enjoyed our experience. We tried options from both menu's. We had a spanakopita that we all agreed was the best we have had in Ottawa, and all of us really enjoyed the burgers. We finished with 2 Greek deserts that were excellent as well. Shout out to Dawn, and Nancy, they made our experience pleasant and welcoming.
Tried the chicken souvlaki wrap. A bit slow, but good quality ingredients. Overall good value. Nice, clean interior.
The Happy Greek makes one of the greatest moussakas I have eaten! I keep looking for a good one but it is rare. This one is really delicious with a light-weight béchamel and perfect layers. Generous portion too! Featuring friendly, efficient service and a tidy restaurant to sit down or take out. Happy to have found the Happy Greek.
Went looking for World Burger, and didn't realize this place took over it but still serves it on their menu. I figured, sure, this is what I'm looking for. The place absolutely felt like a freezer. I have no idea why it's so cold, but it was very uncomfortable. The burger was alright but greasy compared to what I remember and it was served on such a tiny plate that my onion rings I ordered as a side kept falling off. The side onion rings aren't even mentioned on their printed out menu but they cost a whopping $8.50 which is a rip off. I don't remember it costing that much but it would be nice if they advertised it and I had ordered the meal as a combo. I didn't expect to get charged something separately from the burger. Also when I walked in, one of their staff was in the way of the door cleaning it which is something that should be done perhaps before opening hours or right afterwards. They spent my whole visit cleaning the same window in the lobby for maybe a good 30 to 40 minutes. And before I was done eating my meal, the server asked if I wanted the bill. I said sure, but it just feels like I'm being rushed. I probably won't be returning as it's quite sad to see the world burger restaurant itself go. They had a good gig going but I'm not impressed with this place at all.
Delicious in house made authentic Greek food, with friendly service and an atmosphere to make you feel like you're in Greece. Excellent experience - highly recommended!!
The food was delicious! I had the Chicken Souvlaki Wrap which tasted very authentic and was very juicy. The atmosphere was very pretty with beautiful pictures of Greek culture all over the walls, and it was overall very peaceful with Greek music playing. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, we had a few very nice conversations with them. They came to talk to us a few times, making sure we enjoyed the food as the restaurant is new. They were very sweet! My family and I came just after my graduation ceremony and they surprised us with Baklava that said “Congrats GRAD!” on the boxes! I totally recommend to check out this new restaurant :) ευχαριστώ πολυ για ολα!
The food is truly authentic. The server there is so amazing. She's a first year student in communication. She's simply a joy. Professional but funny and down to earth. Great owner as well . I'm so happy I found this place. Micheal The Designer from Wflowers

Terrible restaurant layout. Awful customer service. Misleading menu and tiny portions considering the price. Food was bland, dry, and over cooked. Will never consider visiting again.
Wow! The restaurant was excellent! Everything was amazing! The food was tasty. We had the chicken souvlaki platter and the Greek salad. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The rice and the potatoes were so flavourful. Usually I find when I ve been to Greek restaurants the rice is so bland not here! The chicken souvlaki was so juicy and delicious! Greek salad was fresh and plentiful! Last but not least the tzatziki sauce was tasty too. Our server was very friendly! The atmosphere was spot on! It was well worth it! A hidden gem!
I have visited the Happy Greek a number of times and keep returning for more. The food is delicious, and the staff is like down home friendly. I am always happy with the Happy Greek and its wonderful owner. This is my go to place for Greek food in Nepean.
Horrible Service! Do not go here! No respect for customers! RESPONCE TO OWNER: There is no chance I will ever return to your store! Ive also advised my circle to do thr same! The way the lady thst works as a server is not professional, ignorant and disrespectful! Too bad because I love supporting local businesses!
The staff are horrible and rude. They put up signs to direct traffic based on eating in or taking away, but the sign for take away reads like a list that implies to go in the other door (take-out skip Dine-in other door) so I went in the other door. The lady then laughed at me for not understanding their badly worded sign - who mocks a customer? I go through the other door and by the time Ive made it to the counter shes moved there telling the guy at the counter how dumb I am. He then lectures me about ordering food on Skip the dishes...an app the restaurant volunteered to be on. Im sorry I realized I was exhausted and hungry while on my commute home and thought souvlaki would make it better. Im not going to go back. I love Greek food but there are way better options in the neighbourhood.

Its Chicken Skewers are very tasty and worth the price.
I went there a few days ago with my partner, they werent hungry so I got one chicken pita wrap for myself. I asked one of the male servers if my partner can have a glass of water as well, he rolls his eyes, gave me a look then walks away. He then came back with water but stopped acknowledging us since then. Food was okay... the chicken is a bit dry and bland, nothing special. I brushed off the servers attitude, maybe they had a bad day, but then they shoved the debit machine on the table and I was alarmed. Definitely not coming back, the atmosphere is great though very quiet and theres barely anyone there.
Excellent food and service. The kefdetes were super tasty. Lots of flavour and great spice. The dolmades were great. The chicken wrap had lots of grilled chicken. Also super tasty. Service was friendly and quick. Great place for a healthier lunch or dinner.
Waited 1 hour for appetizers only one came and it was not good, did not resembled calamari at all, mushy and soaked with oil. Very disappointed

My first visit there and I certainly enjoyed it immensely. The portions were large, food very tasty, and service friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was simple but very relaxing. I would go back whenever I return to Ottawa.
I cannot say enough good things about The Happy Greek / World Burger. We stopped in trying to find a burger joint and were delighted to find a Greek restaurant aswell. Both menus are delicious and the staff is amazing and soo friendly. The place was so good we had to stop twice in one weekend. Highly recommend to Ottawa citizens or people visiting like we were.
Hands down the VERT BEST Greek food in Ottawa. Thank you so much for opening your doors, Happy Greek! Great Greek beer option, delicious and tender souvlaki, fresh salads... friendly service. We loved it all. Going back soon. Vegetarian options: Lots of salads and veg appetizers available. Parking: Free parking in large parking lot. Kid-friendliness: Smaller portions available for kids. High prices for pathetic portions. The gyro platter came in two tiny containers with a very sad salad and about 2 and a half potatoes. Super disappointing for $25 after tax. The food tasted fine, but I definitely wont be going back.
We ordered and paid online. When I arrived, they had no record of the order. So I had to order again and wait fifteen minutes. When I arrived home, I saw they had forgotten to include the salad - which I had paid for. The moussaka was fine, but barely warm. The dip and pita was fine.

Waited 15 minutes for food! Got home and wasn t our order. Had to go back and waited another 15 minutes. Cold chicken skewer and wrap only had chicken and 2 tomato slices UGH we ll definitely stick to what we know YURGO s in Clyde!!! AMAZING Greek food! Bye Happy-sad Greek

I recently tried your Greek wrap and wanted to share some thoughts on my experience. I found that the wrap could have been more authentic and flavorful. Specifically, it tasted overly salty and lacked the rich, traditional flavors I was hoping for. To enhance authenticity and improve the taste, you might consider: - Reducing the amount of salt to allow other flavors to shine. - Incorporating classic Greek ingredients like a well-seasoned tzatziki sauce, fresh herbs such as oregano or dill, and authentic Greek olives or feta cheese. Sorry I will not be returning
The service was slow, waiting 20 minutes for a wrap. The fries were cold and the food is very plain. Not worth the wait or price and not authentic Greek taste. The same song played over and over. There is far better Greek food in area. Food : 2/5
Ordered the gyro pita for lunch and I was very happy with it. Best gyro Ive had in a while, it was moist and flavourful. The pita was simple (tzatziki sauce, tomato, cucumber) but together it really hit the spot. My picky eater kid who doesnt like spicy food ended up eating my gyro over her burger. So Ill have to order extra gyro next time.
Food was ok but the wait was ridiculously long. Waited 30 mins for 2 chicken souvlaki wraps.. not sure why as it wasn t busy. Not gonna return
I first need to say how amazing the food is here. I think the reason the wait is long, mine was 45 minutes, is because everything is soo fresh. I also think its a bit expensive. A chicken souvlaki platter is $24.00 before tax and sometimes they dont give enough food for that price. My experience with Greek food is that they typically give you more, but having said that I cant say enough good things about the taste of the food.
Authentic Greek Food. I am very picky since I am Greek and have been disappointed from many restaurants that claim to be authentic but are not. The Happy Greek serves authentic Greek food. The salad dressing, the lemony potatoes, the tzatziki (white sauce) the loukaniko (sausage) and the baklava were all a 10/10! I will definitely be returning to try out the rest of the menu.
Long-time customer of World Burger. Im happy they still exist in this location. The quality is still fantastic, even if I miss them having their own unique location.
We didn t even make it to the food. The smell of stale burnt grease in the shop and the surly staff who ignored us was enough for us to turn around and walk out. Others might fare better, but I don t think I ll be back again.

Me and my dad went there for food the other day and have to say it was one of the best gyros Ive ever had definitely will be back again
I ordered takeout dinner on Thursday May 2, 2024. When I got home I noticed I had not received the taramosalata I had ordered. I called the restaurant for a refund but the Supervisor (who was quite pleasant) said he could not do refunds, only the Manager could, and he was not in until Monday. Or I could come back then and get a replacement, which I did not want by this time. I asked that the Manager call me on Monday, but was told he would not call me back and instead I had to come back to the restaurant on Monday. Not worth my effort. My wife and I carried on with dinner, which was an utter disappointment. Rubbery chicken souvlaki, dry pork souvlaki, and both were flavorless (2/10). These two platter meals each came with only 2 small potato wedges and underwhelming rice (2/10). The salads were ok, but mostly just iceberg lettuce (large piece of feta, though). The moussaka was just ok (6/10). The whole thing cost an astonishing $87. And I agree with another reviewer re the smell of the restaurant; I had to shower and change my clothes when I got home. I definitely will not be back.
It was ok. The regular Greek salad had 3 olives on it and an Italian dressing not Greek. Paid 5.99 for a chicken skewer and it was pretty small. Wouldnt return. Nice employees.
Although I ordered from the World Burger side of the menu I believe the dual menus is a great thing and am looking forward to ordering from the Greek menu in the near future .
Had a Greek salad with a chicken kabob. The salad was very plain, the chicken kabob was small, and it came with vinaigrette dressing? Like what? definitely not worth the money I spent. Did not taste authentic Greek. Service was good.

Ordered a chicken souvlaki platter. Good is good but extremely small portion for $30 with a bottle of water. Lower your prices or give more food. If I spend $30 I should get full
