Always something broken. The older woman who works there is polite and professional. But the equipment is always broken every time we visit. Today, the fryer was out. Last time, sold out of onion rings. Very unreliable

I recently visited A&W at St Laurent Mall and ordered the Chicken BLT Burger, but unfortunately, it didnt live up to expectations. My order lacked tomatoes and bacon, leaving me with just lettuce on the burger. The patty was soggy in the middle and when craving the crunch of the burger leaves you disappointed add the staffs rudeness further dampened the experience, making it a very disappointing visit overall. If it was busy at the time I might have forgiven the visit yet I was the only only one in line at the time so its hard to excuse that behavior from an establishment that has served this mall for a while. I will be choosing another restaurant in that mall instead.

Not that this post will get the attention of the owner of this location but heres my long rant anyway. This review is for a so-called manager that I encountered in this location in Jan. 26, 2023. We arrived at the counter waiting for someone to get our order, we waited for about 2 mins (not the issue here). The so-called manager was by the door talking with someone but we are clearly in sight. She walked to the kitchen and did not acknowledge me and the kids. I waited patiently but as soon as another customer came by the line she walked past me and greeted the other customer and took her order. So I said wow we were first in line and decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. She did not make an effort to stop me . I went back to try and talk to a manager and make a complaint because I feel offended and the fact that we come here all the time and this was the first time we were treated this way. Only to find out that the same person was the manager. Instead of apologizing she tried to make all kinds of excuses but of course I work in sales too so I know not to make excuses when dealing with customers. Regardless, customers should be acknowledged,greeted and treated the same way. She even told me I should not be so sensitive about it. Really, so she meant to say, I should smile and give her kudos for poorly treating a customer. For me there are no excuses for this kind of customer service. Every customer that approached your counter should be greeted. Dont assume and think that they were already taken care of most especially if they clearly just arrived. Or maybe, instead of chit chatting with your co-workers stay focused so you dont have to think and assume about your customers. Or instead of telling your customers not to be sensitive then stop being insensitive about other peoples feelings. Simply saying hello to your customers goes a long way.

The food tastes Real. I had breakfast there this morning and it was straight from the grill not in a drawer. You can taste the difference . Great Job!

I dont even want to give a one star, Actually when I paid for my food with several other people beside me we all ordered our food together and the workers didnt want to listen to us they brought us cold sandwiches it took a very long time and when we said something to them one of the elderly workers with white hair and a ponytail, Told us we should open our own restaurant if were not satisfied. I had asked for no bacon because I dont eat it and I watch them put it on my sandwich and when I asked them if theyve just put bacon on the sandwich they said no and I watched her go to the back and take it off and they served me the same sandwich when I ate the sandwich it tasted like bacon. To be honest I was more upset of the lack of awareness and the fact that it didnt look like any of those workers wanted to work and all of them had been giving dirty looks they were not happy they did not show a good face.. It was the worst service in the entire mall , I will not recommend to anybody to go to this location you are going to meet better workers at any of the other places in the food court. Anyone knows that the 1st portion of customer service is a smile and tone of voice and eye contact all of those I couldnt even give a 0 for.

Just saw the bald middle aged guy that works here leave the washroom without washing his hands.

*MINUS 100 STARS* AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO RECIVE WHAT YOU ORDER AND PAY FOR. Ordered lunch delivery from this location on two separate occasions and both times I received wildly incorrect items. Instead of a Mozza burger combo, I received a bag of lettuce with some condiments squished in between the massive leaves, no bun, no patty. I then ordered a Doubble Mozza combo and received a chicken patty in a dry bun with zero toppings. An order of 3 bags of onion rings arrived as three bags of fries. Another time I received a burger with none of the add-on toppings I paid (and was charged) extra for. If a restaurant is unable to provide the food that has been ordered, what is even the point of them? After countless times trying to contact customer service and have these mistakes rectified (I was ignored several times) I am LIVID. How is this place still in business?

Old ahh bacon in the wrap, it looks like it s from 3-4 days ago.

The veggie burger is very good, as are the homemade fries. Convenient to Downtown Ottawa.

Closes earlier than their public hours indicate. NOT open until 9pm.

The fact that they are not using gloves to prepare the food is a turn off and cant see myself ordering from there again.I Dont buy the hand washing procedure either

Traditional lunch at a good price.

The cheddar bacon uncle burger was good. A little greasy, but thats flavour. The poutine was substandard as the fries were stale imho. I even finished off my friends fries and they were also not great. It also took a while to do the uncle burger. Idk if thats normal, but whatever. Prob wont be back to this one.

As restaurants are these days, Ive always liked that A&Ws have been kept very clean. Super recommended!

I tried there ,56 buddy burger today. I am so sick,not sure from what. The burger was cooked, properly may the sauce. Will not eat, that burger ever again. Mitchell

Whats not to like about A&W...

Absolute garbage, all paid condiments were missing. Lettuce was literally rotten and quality of food was beyond horrible. Worst A&W in Ottawa

The new coffee is beyond good i love it so much. Its my new go to coffee. The food is always as good as its always been!

My girlfriend from the United Kingdom had a burger from A&w for her first time it was delicious but the manager spent the entire time on her phone as one of her lower class lackeys did all the work props to that gentleman if hes out there great burger

Not sure why Canadians still think this is a good place to dine in. The worst oily burgers, sauce, fake vegetables Ive ever had in my life. Aweful, just Aweful

Highly suggest NOT GOING HERE PERIOD. The workers are slobs and incompetent. I order a mozzarella burger and got burger with beef and mushrooms. Called the manager to see if I could back and exchange. The manager had loud beaping noises in the background and couldnt hear me nor could I hear here. She wouldnt leave the area of the noise. If u cant get a burger right, I can almost put money on the cleanliness is discusting as are many more things STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE SAVE YOUR MONEY

I ordered a mozzarella burger and it was like the stars aligned. It was so tasty that all of my struggles vanished. If I could eat and eat Id order another-it would be a crime otherwise. Honestly, highly recommend the fries were great too, perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. 5 stars. Thank you Ill definitely order from here again!!

Purchased a beyond burger with ketchup no cheese. What I really got was a beyond patty with nothing on it. Not the first time I ve been disappointed with my order at this location. Definitely the last time I ll be ordering from here.

While am waiting for my order i have seen The dirtiest place in the world.You can see the walls inside brown from dirt and oil grease all over the store. The most disgusting thing is the people inside making the sandwiches without gloves with huge dirty nails. I returned the food and lost my appetite for 3h. I can t stop thinking about it. I wish I had enough money to sue the owner for the garbage he is feeding our kids.

Located in the St. Laurent Shopping Mall food court, they are open during the pandemic. You do have to follow Mall procedures to enter. Food was great as always

I only give them one star because you cant give none. Staff is slow, uninterested and lost. I gave the order for ONE burger 4 times and they still got it wrong TWICE. By far the worst A&W in the area. Service was much better before they dealt with their cockroach infestation issue a few years back.

Had been to McDs but it was closed. Yah! A&W was open. Fries were cold and they didnt do the special order on my sons hamburger. He didnt want cheese or onions. I wanted to bring it back but they had locked their doors. They were closed now. They just wanted to dump the burgers that they had already made. Live and learn.

Always good burgers at A&W... Never sloppy. The kids love it and the portions are good.

I asked for the Uncle burger. It is supposed to come with cheddar and bacon, but when I got it I noticed that comes without them. I come back to cashier to complain, but he told me that I needed to explain I wanted with bacon and cheddar! Bulls**t There isn t this option in the menu! You lose a customer.
