Wasnt the best experience that Ive had. The inside took me by surprise, not appealing to eat a meal. Service was slow. The burger was over cooked and turned into a big pile of meat and bun.

Me and my 2 boys went here for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The server, Keira, greeted us and we ordered drinks. The Creemore Crist Pilsner was quite good and the chocolate milk came in a cool measuring cup. The burgers were excellent (mine was vegetarian) and the fries were nice & crispy. My youngest also got some ice cream (nearly a sundae) from his kids meal. We had a great time and the service was attentive & friendly. Well certainly be coming back! I was so glad that we decided on The Works at Hunt Club to have a last minute family get together. Our party of 10 arrived, all with different dietary needs, and enjoyed a great evening with great food and service. Sheri welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered food for the first time at The Works. I got a chicken burger and a bang bang broccoli to try. The burger was okay, but the bang bang broccoli tasted like really bad oil. All I could taste in my mouth was the bad flavor of oil. I feel disgusting and yucky after eating it. Food

My first time at this location and I was excited, as I ve had good experiences at other locations. The fact that the place was practically empty on a Sunday night should have clued me in that this place was not going to live up to expectations. The server was friendly, but incredibly slow. We waited a long time for our meals to come out which, considering there was only one other table in at the time, shouldn t have been the case. When we finally got our meals, the fries were lukewarm and the burger was mostly cold. I m not sure if it came out of the kitchen that way or whether the server had just not bothered to bring them out in a timely manner. When my friend complained and asked for the meal to be reheated, the server seemed confused and not happy. She took them away and when they came back the burgers were a bit hotter, but the fries were stone cold. A highly disappointing meal, especially for the price we paid, and neither of us will be going back.

I thought the food was great. It might be a bit expensive for some though. I bought 2 burgers with sides and milkshakes it was $83. But such is the price for everything now days. Our server was Maddy. I think she was great. She was extremely polite and offered to get us more water when the food was taking a little while. It wasnt all that long either way though. Atmosphere is also great. Im writing this in the restaurant at 7:35pm on a Thursday and there isnt many people around which helps me stay comfortable. I also like the music playing

Not very familiar with the area but wanted to grab a quick bite to eat (specifically a burger) and came across the works. Fantastic speed in the kitchen was in there not longer than an hour and my server Amber was extremely pleasant and kind. Very attentive and most definitely made my experience at this establishment a positive one. If I ever venture back to the bank street/hunt club area, I will definitely be coming back.

Brought our kids here for a fun lunch out, was it ever disappointing. The food was terribly over salted, my daughters chicken burger was burnt to a crisp, and the cost was outrageous. We had previously enjoyed going to the works years ago, unfortunately the quality has gone down hill, just another sub par chain restaurant now. We will not return.

If youve never had the Works before 2016, this restaurant is fine. If you remember when they had ground turkey burgers, roasted red peppers as a topping, and white pepper slaw, this unfortunately is no longer that wonderful place. Prices increased but quality decreased. There isnt as much care put into making sure your order is correct - always something wrong whether the wrong topping or missing an item entirely. Today I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for 2 meals. I was told pick up at 5:50pm and didnt get my meal until 6:25pm. A customer before me also waited over an hour. The music was blaring and playing outdated songs you could hear from the road. The waitress seemed distressed and it seemed like there was only 1 cook on shift despite it being a weekend. I was given coupons as an apology but one was a special theyre doing during March Break that everyone gets, and the other was the free Tower of Rings with purchase that I have many of already, as its for dine-in only. My meal was cooked fresh, which is great, but my daughter ended up eating something else while waiting for our meal, and my burger had bacon instead of the bacon roasted tomatoes I paid extra for. After spending $75 on this pick-up order, I think its time to give up the Works. Itll never be what it used to be, and at the price, I will sadly chose elsewhere from now on for my rare chances at take out food.

We visited yr place just like any other Works we have visited were accepting exceptional customer service sorry to say it was very disappointing. There was one server in the restaurant . Appetizers were served with before drinks. There were only 7 customers CB in the restaurant it took 40 minutes to get our drinks that too after several reminders to the server and in one of the drinks she forgot to add vodka. Food quality was below standard . Very disappointing to see poor service and poor quality of served food. I know for sure will never visit this location again. My bill added up to$ 139 whst a waste of money .

Awful I signed up a month before my birthday but never received the email with a coupon for my birthday , I had called that morning to inform a separate location about it and they said not to worry about it and that as long as I have ID they would accept me for the free birthday meal so I drove down half hour to the nearest restaurant which is this one and they made a big deal about the coupon even though I confirmed that I called before coming in and they said all locations are different and I would need the coupon, absolutely pathetic ! I love the works and go all the time with my friends and family but after this awful encounter on my birthday of all days I will be happy to take my money elsewhere. MARCH 12th 2024.

Its okay, but not what it used to be. Only 1 poor waitress working at the moment of visit and she was clearly overwhelmed, but she acknowledged it and was sorry about it. Not her fault though. My burger was okay, but not what it used to be 10 years ago when I lived the area. They made their fame with their super huge, juicy & tasty patties; now, unfortunately, its just a burger like you can find in many pub-like restaurants, with a pretty ordinary and dry-ish patty. Parking: Might be difficult to find a parking spot during peak hours

The Kobi beef burger was amazing! The tower of rings, same. Although good, I think the Kraft dinner side dish could have been better.

The food was good but took about an hour and a bit to get to the table. Short staffed but the staff that was working were very polite. Unfortunately they had run out of forks and we had to use plastic forks. They did not have side plates either so we had been given metal bowls. Kinda looked like dog bowls they tried very hard. And I do appreciate the effort that had been given. *EDIT* I contacted the email provided to me this is a new add to my original posting 3 weeks later. I did not get a reply back. Still am yet to be contested regarding this issue. It s not a huge deal for me just feel mislead.

One of the best burgers I had in Ottawa. Beef burger cooked to perfection, crispy chicken burger was awesome and made with premium chicken breast, Onion rings are also great and highly recommended as appetizers. Service was great, special thanks to Amber, our hostess during our visit. She was very helpful, smiling all the time, and helped us choose our sandwiches from the wide options in the menu. Although my very first experience with The Works branch on St. Laurent was very unpleasant, to say the least, yet Bank Street branch made it worthwhile. Thank you very much for a very good experience. Will be visiting you again soon.

First off, the food took 1 hour 45 minutes to be prepared and delivered to the table (There were about 6 other people in the restaurant), the burgers were straight up Congratulations not even Well-Done or medium. Most of the burgers were missing the majority of their toppings (Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, etc.) and so were some of the sides. I would barely pay $15 a burger.

Worst service I have ever had. One hour after we placed our order we still didnt have food. When we asked we were told 5 minutes, after 15 min we paid for our drinks and left as we still didnt have food. The restaurant was not busy, only three other tables. But they did seem to be prioritizing take out. Very disappointing as we were really looking forward to it. But we did not anticipate a two hour time slot for lunch.

I suppose it happens to most chains after a while but The Works must be surviving on nostalgia and momentum. We visited the Bank St location recently after giving up on the Barrhaven location, and it seems slow service and quality decline are not isolated to any single location. We visited on a weekend evening, so we knew they may be busy and a little slow, but the restaurant was only about 60% full so we figured it might be okay. It took over 25 minutes before the server even came to ask about drinks and starters. Two towers of crushed onion rings arrived 35 minutes later with the wrong sauces, and it was another 10 minutes before our drinks finally arrived. Our 4 burgers arrived almost 2 hours after we sat down. Other than the onion rings looking like they were stepped on, the food was decent and warm when it reached the table. 3 milkshakes were okay, but one was really thin, I think they forgot the ice cream. It seems burger sizes have decreased, and some starters like the Crispy Dills are small for the price, but the sides werent skimpy like some other users have commented. It was cold outside on the night we were there and every time the door opened the restaurant had a rush of freezing air. Two members of our party put their coats on. There are double doors at the entrance but the 2nd set of doors were locked open. The Works needs to figure out how to get drinks to the table in less than 60 minutes, its a problem that plagues several locations and really detracts from the experience. Quality is also wildly inconsistent. The owners are great about replying to negative reviews but dont seem capable of keeping their restaurants appropriately staffed.

Came in with my partner during family day, and was immediately served with delight. We never caught the name of our waitress (she was a lady with shoulder length hair), but she was so so extremely sweet and attentive! It took a bit for our food to arrive due to Uber orders but nevertheless it tasted amazing. The warm and cozy atmosphere was definitely a bonus. We ll for sure be coming back in the future :)

There was confusion about my food order and she left before I could clarify. I thought I could do so when she brought the drinks. Our second sever was efficient and helpful.

% the worst I have ever had. My hamburger was drowning in some type of horrid sauce Im sure the meat was not fresh, cooked from frozen. My fries were extremely salty. They had no plates so our appetizers were served in little silver dog bowls. We had to ask for napkins four times Yes they were short stuff but not one person there knew what they were doing. Then they came out with plastic forks and real steak knives to let us know that they ran out of forks. My sangria look like sewage water. But at the end of the night I was with my family and I will never take them there again.
