Very bad experience. Taste was average. We were told within 15 minutes of sitting that buffet will be cleared. Should have told at the beginning so we could have opted for other option. Also got stomach issues the same night after consuming the food.

Le restaurant Indien avec la nourriture plus fraiche que jai jamais gouter. Viande tendre et savouvoureux. Pain naan servi chaud quand tarrive. Nourriture pas trop épicé alors jai tout pu manger et reprendre. Et le bon service, nous sommes pas indien on a demandé de laide avec un met et le serveur nous a montrer comment se servir.

Butter chicken, Beef coconut curry and saffron rice, all was very delicious and generous portions. Onion bhaji was very flavorful. Enough leftover for another meal. We will definitely go back.

Food was good, service was very very good. Atmosphere could have been better. They had one song on repeat that got really annoying after 10 min. And even though the place wasnt busy they squeezed everyone in to one side - including this sick guy who looked like he was ready to die, coughing and sneezing.

We went to Mumbai Masala Grill twice on our visit to Ottawa and I wish we could have gone a third time to try the buffet. We had lamb biryani, chicken curry, rice, and a plain naan on our first visit. For our second visit, we had dessert--mango cream and mango cheesecake. The mango cheesecake was a nice combination of sweet and tangy. The service was very friendly and the decor was really nice. The washrooms are in the basement, which is a bit of a trek, and stairs may present mobility challenges. Well have to come back to Ottawa and try more things on the menu!

The service is terrible. The guy who answers the phone even they don t know what they are saying. The staff say something else and manager says something else. Last 15 days ago they missed an item in the order so i called them and they said they will give credit for it in next time, they write down name and phone number. Now they said u have to contact the support. How can i contact the support if the order is already placed a long time ago. The guy who answered the phone was rude no empathy. Never go there or order take out

Indian buffet is good here . The place is in downtown Ottawa. Street parking is available but will be difficult to get one at busy time. It has a big sitting hall but very old style decorated The buffet has variety of veg and non veg items with gol gape and chat papdi Goat hurry was good but the goat biryani and steamed rice was dry and the grain became hard to chew cause it was in the hot pot for long time or may be from a day before Overall good place to have an indian buffet but it is very pricy

I had a great experience at Mumbai Masala. The Paneer Lababdar was rich and flavorful, and the Garlic Naan was perfectly soft with a nice garlic kick. The Kadai Paneer was spicy and delicious, with tender paneer cubes. The service was quick and friendly, making for an overall enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend!

Sept 4th 2024 1pm I love the vegetable korma however I tried something new and tried the beef curry. The spiciness was completely okay. I eat spicier at home. But it was way too salty and acidic at a first taste so I went to ask to switch but they refused. I season my food a lot at home (Im Latina) but this was saturated to the max with acidity and salt. Im autistic and I wasted 20 dollars on trying something and had horrible customer service when trying to reassure them I could pay higher for the difference of something else and that I only took a bite and I can throw it out right there so they didnt think I was trying to scam them. Oh well. I will just not go back again

The servers were very good and they served with smile and the food was Absolutely delicious . The portions are quite large for the price which is rare to find now a days. The Paneer lababdaar, panner tikka masala ,daal makhni , dahi kebab was very flavourful and well cooked, the salad was great. Will continue to come again and again. I bought the chicken naan for lunch and was expecting a naan with some spiced succulent pieces of tandoori chicken but instead got tiny dry crumbs of chicken that tasted like it had been from leftover old pieces of chicken, it was disgusting. I threw it out, it truly wasn t edible. I came after the lunch rush at 1 and it took almost 20 minutes for it to come out. So disappointing, first time trying this restaurant and it will be my last time.

Food was yummy. We ordered palak paneer, mix veg and samosa chaat ...everything was delicious. All staff were really humble and enthusiastic. Loved everything. 10/10 recommended Vegetarian options: Gluten free and dairy free available.

A little disappointed that the all-you-can-eat buffet isnt open.... BUT.... Everything we ordered was a real delight! Generous portion and served quickly. The staff is very present and attentive. I recommend 200% if you like or want to discover Indian specialties.

I ordered biriyani from this restaurant after i saw a review about this restaurant saying that they have the best biriyani which is better than south Indian biriyani and honestly that person never have tried actual south Indian biriyani and to my great disappointment its an average north Indian biriyani and thats it.. But their lamb lababdar was really good and I definitely recommend that dish.

Not worth the price. The food tasted bland and mediocre. Huge price for such average food. Paneer butter masala was total disaster, tasted like ketchup. 3 chicken strips for 18$ is a loot. On top of this I paid 10% tip for nothing. I felt like forced to pay the tip. Not worth the try. Very disappointing

My partner Leo and I went for dinner tonight around 6pm, the service was excellent, they offered us to pick the table we prefer. The restaurant is very clean. We ordered: Chicken kebab sizzle and the Mumbai masala grill mix plates, they both were delicious. The naan bread is one of the best Ive tasted. Since moving to Ottawa I havent had some good Indian food in a while, I brought my friend who had never really tried Indian food before and hoped I could show her a good experience. The staff are amazing! They treated us like royalty, they pulled out our seats for us, constantly refilled our water and were attentive without being too invasive. My friend was hesitant to try a lot of the stuff on the menu and the staff actively encouraged her with 0 judgement! The food was super yummy and we got it for a good price! So happy with this place, absolutely will be back <3

I visited Mumbai Masala grill along with my 3 friends after a long hike to get authentic indian food. We ordered Malai chicken for starters and Chicken lababdar along with Garlic naan for Lunch. Taste was great, service was superb and environment was soothing.

Underwhelming. Indian food is supposed to be spicy, yet the food here was not spicy at all and literally flavorless. Lamb curry was watery, the butter chicken tasted sweet for some reason, and the chicken had the consistency of tofu. Dont come here if you like spicy food

We went to eat here last Saturday (13 July) and everything about this place was great. For context, I am originally from Montreal and usually have a hard time finding a good restaurant I like in Ottawa. This place is now my new favorite Indian restaurant in town. Their butter chicken is beyond delicious, the samosas are amazing and the service is awesome! We came last minute (at 10pm), which was our fault completely as we didnt realize they closed at 11pm and they still served us with complete professionalism. I would definitely be going back and will be recommending this restaurant to everyone I know who loves Indian food.

It used to be a good restaurant in the beginning but now it has lost its taste and freshness. The food items are not freshly prepared, I ordered dal makhani one night and it felt stale, i kept the leftover in the fridge and it literally went bad the next morning as if it was atleast few days old. I used to be a regular customer for this place, but I do not recommend this place anymore.

This place has best malai kofta in the town. Service and ambience is amazing. I want to thank Shubham and his team for going above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was perfect. Their genuine hospitality and impeccable service made all the difference.
