Cabotto's in Ottawa

Have been wanting to check this place out for a while now, went last night for birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! Cozy atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. Highly recommend!

We had a private party here last night for our work Christmas party. Service was really fantastic. Would recommend Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options here exist! I am veg and I had the butter nut squash ravioli with Gorgonzola and it was super good, strong sharp cheese, super creamy with spicy pumpkin seeds. Vegan options are a little more difficult. They had a vegan pasta for my coworker but there were no vegan desserts on the menu she could have, we paid for a set a la carte menu which included 3 courses.

We had an amazing experience, we were escorted to our table and our server frequently checked up on us throughout our dinning experience. The food was phenomenal. I had the calamari which cooked to perfection and not chewy at all. Also I had the Agnolotti Rose which was very savoury & creamy. My boyfriend had the garlic cheese bread which he adored as well as the filet mignon which was cooked exactly how he wanted served which a generous helping of vegetables. We had a wonderful dinning experience and highly recommend. We will definitely be going back! Vegetarian options: They have lots of vegetarian options which is amazing. Parking: The parking was very spacious and we had no issues finding a spot.

Once again, the atmosphere was fantastic. The service was exceptional and for a very reasonable price . Pretty much our new go to at Christmas time. Parking: I ve never had any issues with parking.

We celebrated our 9th Anniversary last night at Cabottos. This has become one our go tos for a more upscale dining. We are confident that the food will be great and the experience exceptional. Our server last night was Nick. He was very professional and at the same time personable. Service and the food was as we have become to expect from Cabottos; exceptional. I recommend.

Great resturant in a beautiful manor home. Dietary restrictions: They had both vegetarian and gluten-free substitute options. Parking: There is more parking than it looks when you first pull in. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes - but I would tell them when booking so they can save a table by the front, some tables may be a bit harder to navigate to by the back.

The service from the time we entered to the time we paid the bill and left was exceptional. Professional, friendly, it was like we were being served by an old friend. Our waiter was great!! The food is always top notch, our last visit was no exception. The lasagna fed my Mom for two full meals, the Il Trio pasta was devoured in one sitting as usual - so good, and the Pollo Piemonte I had was excellent as always. I had the leftovers the next day and it was just as good reheated. Dessert - chocolate tartufo, tiramisu and creme brule -- YUM! The one downside is that it can be loud when the restaurant is full. It is an old house, and the smaller dining rooms can get noisy when there are large groups. This does not discourage me from going... everything else far outweighs missing a few words here and there. Parking: Parking is mostly around the back of the restaurant. There are plenty of spots even when the restaurant is packed.

Quality of food is consistent. Service was outstanding thanks to Megan. Bravo for another fine dining experience. I will be back. Food : 5/5

As usual, it was a wonderful place to celebrate my wifes birthday along with our grown children. The food was amazing as usual but this time it was the server Deb who made everything spectacular. She was pleasant, attentive, and went our of her way to make sure everyone at the table was taken care of. Thanks Cabottos and most of all Deb for making my wifes birthday amazing.

Weve been here several times throughout the years weve lived in Stittsville and I have never been disappointed (even during covid)! They cook the food to perfection!

We recently celebrated my wifes retirement at Cabottos, and it was a very pleasant experience. Perry, who handled our reservation, was incredibly helpful and ensured everything was perfectly arranged for our special night. Our waiter, Tom, was professional, attentive, and friendly. He went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect. His recommendations were spot-on, and he made sure every detail was taken care of. The food was excellent and the ambiance of the restaurant added to the special occasion, making it a night to remember. It was also really nice to have a room just for our party, as we were able to mingle and also when it came time to make speeches we were not competing sound wise with the other patrons in the restaurant. Thank you, Cabottos, and a special thanks to Perry and Tom for making my wifes retirement dinner such a memorable event. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great service and excellent food.

Dinner at Cabottos never disappoints. The staff treat you like royalty. The food is the best Italian cuisine in Ottawa. It is always a delight to go to our favourite restaurant!! Perry, Carmen and Vince thank you for all you do each time we dine at your restaurant.

Disappointing. My chicken Marsala was very sweet and the Alfredo pasta was lukewarm. The veal canneloni did not have much taste, just a lot of parsley. Restaurant was very busy and service was OK but nothing special. Parking: There is a construction site attached to the parking where you can park your car but it is unlit and gravel.

Once again, an evening dining at Cabottos is a wonderful experience. Great food, great ambience, friendly and engaging staff...we couldnt ask for more.

Just OK. Somewhat of a disappointment as we heard it was an amazing dining experience. In our opinion Porto a Casa, Julucas, and Pinelopis are alll better for the same approximate cost. Best items we tried were the chocolate tartufo and mushroom bruchetta. Our salads and mains (veal marsala and seafood pasta) were just so - so.

Beautiful historic house with many smaller rooms to dine in. Service was excellent and server was happy and kind and easy to deal with. Was very busy when we arrived but service was still very efficient! Parking: Construction behind the restaurant so it s a mess back there. Drop ladies at the door and then park!

What an incredible restaurant and atmosphere The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff very accommodating and attentive . We held a surprise 60th birthday party for a friend. There were 14 of us in total and they let us have the use of one of the private rooms. The service was spectacular. The food was completely five star out of this world. I would highly recommend to anyone !!! If I could give this place more than five stars, I absolutely would !

This is Ottawa s hidden gem. Everything was done to perfection.

We were a group of 6 celebrating a birthday and our experience at Cabottos, on a busy Saturday night, was amazing. We tested the menu ordering 3 different starters and 5 different mains and all were excellent. Our service was amazing, professional, efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. Certainly a 5 star experience.

Delicious! Had the pesto and sundried tomato seafood pasta. Some of the best pasta I ve had this year. The dessert was also delicious

I cannot recommend it highly enough. We had our wedding reception here in 2023 and our guests are still talking about how good it was. The food is spectacular, the service is incredible and the atmosphere is warm and intimate. For our wedding, everything was arranged perfectly and they were so helpful with all our questions and arrangements. We recently went back for our anniversary and they remembered us! For an event or just a fabulous dining experience I cannot recommend Cabotto s enough.

Our first visit with close friends did not disappoint. All 4 meals (Veal Marsala, Chicken Saltimbocca, Braciole, Pollo Piemonte) were delicious with generous servings. Our waiter Tom, was very patient, attentive and did not rush us. Parking: Our friends arrived a 5:45pm and said they had to wait for someone to leave. When we arrived at 6:05 there were a couple of spaces available.

We finally made it to Cabotto s for dinner and they didn t disappoint! The food and service was great! The only reason I gave a 4* rating was for our boys Carbonara order. I thought I saw carbonara on the online menu but it turned out I was wrong. The server kindly offered to have the kitchen make it even though it wasn t on the menu. We had two very happy kids until it arrived. Sadly what was sent wasn t carbonara it was just buttered noodles, parm and pancetta so the kids wouldn t eat it. No big deal, they shared ours and everyone left happy. I just wish they hadn t said they could make carbonara because I would ve just ordered spaghetti and meatballs. We still had a great dinner, the appetizers were delicious and me and my husband loved our meals and the recommended wine. Next time we ll leave the boys with a sitter :) so we can enjoy all Cabotto s has to offer.

We thoroughly enjoyed an outstanding meal at Cabottos to celebrate a milestone birthday with family & friends. Although we were a large group, Perry & Andrew ensured we received their signature fine service with wide selection of excellent wines & delicious food! Gratie mille!!

Food was decent. Atmosphere amazing. Service was really good. Being Italian the pasta tasted day old or frozen but I could be wrong. However overall I enjoyed the experience. Not as good as Nonna but better then most!!

This was my second time within a month of going and loved it. I had the lasagna both times as I enjoyed it very much. My husband enjoyed the lobster ravioli. The zucchini is fabulous as well. We were a group of 10 for dinner at the waitress was fantastic with all of us. I definitely recommend Cabottos.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and it was a perfect evening. The food was incredible, the service was outstanding and it is such a cozy place. I can t remember the last time I had a meal that good. The dessert is a must have.

The food was excellent. We had escargot, mista salad, a gf pasta with chicken, veal parmagian and creme brulee. Unfortunately the service was a lacking. Bread was requested and took a long time to come arriving with apologies. We waited 15 minutes, after we were finished our meals and received our takeaway containers, for our bill. We were seated on the second floor. There were 14 people in the room ( including us)and the noise level was unbelievable. Chandeliers and a big mirror was the total decor. Would not recommend the second floor, the lower level is lovely. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free (celiac) needs were met, no issues.

We were very excited to try this Cabottos we both ordered appetizers and pasta dishes and the food fell very short of what I was expecting the service was excellent and the restaurant was very unique, may have been an off night for the kitchen but we were very disappointed in both the taste and quality.

Our first time trying Cabottos will be our last. Although the food we finally got served was tasty, the service was atrocious. Our main meal took well over an hour, only 3 in our party, and a neighboring table who were seated long after us, received their meals much sooner. Our waitress never smiled once and her demeanor was very curt. Our orders were not made with the exclusions we requested. But it took so long we didnt dare send them back. This experience was such a disappointment for my daughters birthday celebration dinner. We definitely wont be going back.

Beautiful house and very charming decor, we were put in the back room, its a bit dark over there, the room near the entrance is much brighter and looked a lot more romantic. Service was good but the food was kinda disappointing, the bruschetta bread wasnt toasted at all, its cold and hard to chew. The braciole is a bit strange for our taste, too much cheese didnt compliment the dish, it made the dish messy and too overwhelming.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in the Ottawa region. I strongly recommend.

We dined for my dad s special Birthday dinner. 6 people total. The apps were sub par. The meals - 3 mediocre. 3 not edible. The server acknowledged that we didn t enjoy our dinner and asked what was wrong. The bill was not adjusted and nothing was rectified. This is not authentic Italian. I would say it s more like an East Sides. The pasta is not fresh/homemade. The dishes are over salted and over sauced. Much better restaurants to enjoy around the city. There wasn t even fresh parmigiana offered when served our pasta dish. I m disappointed to see that no one came to speak to the table re our experience. In this industry things happen. We re very understanding and would have appreciated recognition and some sort of solution to the experience. We ended up heading to Preston little Italy to grab another bite.

Went for dinner, food was good, service was great when we could get it. Server was very nice and welcoming but we waited long for someone to show up so we can ask for any sides. Wasnt very busy either but I didnt say anything. Ate my main course waiting to ask for parmesan or some pepper. I found it was lil too dark inside. Overall, good food was great, lil overpriced and servers are great just lil absent.

Both my wife and I are Italian (from Italy). Finding a good Italian restaurant in Canada has been a huge struggle. Finally we gave Cabottos a chance and let me tell you... Some of they options are crazy good! The ravioli were really good, the mushroom bruschetta was amazing, but their tiramisù was by far the best Ive eaten in Canada! Well definitely go back to try more of their menu!

We were a party of five, we just love this place, the food is consistently excellent as is the service and she was busy. We would not hesitate to recommend Cabotto s, it s just simply the best Italian restaurant in the city!!

The servers were visibly not happy to see a family with a toddler enter the room. All three of the servers we encountered were just interested in taking the cutlery away from her at some point. One of them was visibly conflicted when we asked for a plate for the toddler. The female server banged hard into the toddlers chair while walking. didnt apologize or even say anything and just continued on her way. Never going back because of the servers. Food was decent. The decor too dull to appreciate the heritage building.

The best restaurant in the Ottawa area

Absolutely great meal last night. Just imagine, the only possible quibble would be that the water served could have been colder. Otherwise absolute perfection!

We went to celebrate my mom s 93rd bday. Too many people crowded into the room. It was so loud we couldn t hear each other. Long wait for food and then told that two of the plates were dropped in the kitchen and so had to be remade. Chicken amaretto was dried out. Cabottos special veal medallions wete overevooked. Pretty sure it was reheated while the two dropped dishes were being redone. Server was excellent - not his fault but nothing offered to make it right. Couldn t wait to leave!

Cabotto s is one of my favourite restaurants. The ambiance, service and food are excellent. Would highly recommend!

We absolutely love this place! The food is amazing, with some great gluten free options (and the chef even makes special accomodations for dairy free in some cases!) Great wines, lovely intimate atmosphere. Great for special occasions or just enjoyable evenings with friends. I only wish there was a dairy free gluten free dessert option... but this doesnt change my rating.

We chose Cabottos to eat to celebrate a family birthday as a special occasion. We fully enjoyed our experience and the delicious food - they lived up to their reputation! We ordered appetizers, mains (both pasta-based and non-pasta based, I cant remember what thats called), and wine and everything was consistently high quality and delicious! The staff were lovely and struck a wonderful balance between personable and professional! The cost of the meal was higher than we would usually pay for a regular night out (thats maybe more of a personal budgeting comment), but it was well worth the money and we will definitely return for more! Thank you! :) Vegetarian options: I ordered one of their vegetarian pasta mains and it was amazing! Sometimes restaurants have vegetarian options and it feels like an afterthought, but here the options are well thought out and well worth it!

Here is a prime example of great quality food & service Example. Few weeks back popped into the Glen down the road with a buddy. Had wings and a salad one beer . All the food was sub par $57.00..for one person Came here to Cabottos june 6th Had lasagna for me ,wife had Glutine pasta. Salad each ,rolls 1/2 liter of wine and cheese Cake The quality of food was top notch ......second to none Service 1st class atmosphere excellent.. Total bill 118.00 for 2 Do the math and stop going to subpar restaurants when we have this quality right here in our nabourhood ... Just saying, not to mention they have a professional chief on staff not a part time student preparing the food who may or may not know kitchen adequate.

Overall, I had the best time at Cabottos and cant recommend it highly enough. Whether youre looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply want to enjoy a delicious meal in a great setting, Cabottos is the place to go. I cant wait to return and savor more of their culinary delights!

Lovely setting in an elegant farm house. Classic Italian from my childhood memories. Service was friendly but slow (Friday night, busy, did not seem to have an assigned host.). Food was well-prepared, perhaps a touch under-seasoned. A nice meal overall as we were in no rush.

Came there to celebrate Mother s Day. Got served with water and appetizers. Waited for main course for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Server was nowhere to find. Had to find another server to say that we are leaving and pay for appetizers and water. The manager tried to tell me that the restaurant was full when there were empty seats and the parking was at 75% occupancy. Not appreciated. Made my wife very upset. Now I know the place where not to go.

Disappointing evening overall. The service was polite and friendly but very slow. Food was somewhat bland and barely warm. Sent my pasta back to get heated. The buns and zucchini sticks were very good and its a lovely ambiance but will likely not return.

An outstanding dining experience to celebrate a family birthday. Can t wait to return and eat the Pollo Amaretto! Service was exceptional. Special dessert was the crowning touch. Thank you so much.

Hands down one of the greatest dining experiences Ive had the pleasure of having. Antonio out waiter was very knowledgeable and recommended a great dish for me to try.. I absolutely loved every bite of it.. the atmosphere was warm and relaxing not crammed in like most places... highly recommend... Absolutely perfect first dining experience and will be back for sure

We were five for Mothers Day supper. The ambiance, the food, and the service by Travis were all spectacular. We had five different dishes plus a shared appetizer and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their tasty meals. Well be back! A big thanks to Travis who was attentive and personable - which plays a huge part in the dining experience, and to those behind the scene in the kitchen who prepared such high quality meals, one of whom I thanked personally outside at the back as we were leaving. Thank you as well for accommodating one with special dietary restrictions with a plain (yet delicious) salmon and potato serving.

Everything about Cabotto s was excellent. I gave 4 stars for service only because it was super busy but the waitress was awesome. The restaurant was beautiful but only received 4 stars for atmosphere because again it was so busy we found it a little loud. Nothing wrong with being busy. Just means they re doing it right. Awesome experience we will be back.

Excellent as always! The Pucci Family has one of the best Italian restaurants in Ottawa, and certainly the best in Stittsville.

Cabottos youve done it again. Dinner for 23 loved ones ranging from high chair to walkers. My Mothers 90th Birthday was a huge success. Some of our guests had not had the pleasure of you establishment before so youve gained new customers. Weve been celebrating with you at least once a year for at least 30 years now and look forward to more. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free for 1, dairy free for another and shell fish free for a 3rd.

Food was delicious! Friendly and inviting.

The food is exceptional. You wont find better Italian food. We shared escargot, I had Cannelloni, my hubby had veal Parmigiano. My sister had filet mignon, my sister-in-law had smelts. The range is impressive. I didnt have room for dessert, in fact I brought some home. It was a birthday celebration, and we were unable to bring in our own sugar free cake (2 bdays, same day, both diabetic) so thats my only regret. Great server. Nick! A wonderful night. We had a party of 8 and unfortunately unless you were in the middle you couldnt communicate with others, its very loud. We have been there before and will be again. Thank you!

Great Dining Experience! The food was delicious with large servings. The service was very good. The atmosphere was very inviting with round tables which was conducive to friendly conversation. Parking: There is a handicap parking spot very close to the door.

We have been regular patrons since the 1980s in the original Old Kanata location and since its relocation to the wonderful Heritage Home on Hazeldean Road. Vince established and developed one of the finest Italian Cuisine Restaurants and Perry and his sister have continued the tradition of excellence. The service is professional Top of the line , the menu and food preparation Mouth watering delicious and the wine collection is Premier. This is our favourite place to enjoy an evening out and most certainly to celebrate special occasions. You must try it. It has been quite awhile since we have been able to get back to your incredible restaurant but have again be hugely satisfied. To be honest there was a brief period in the last few years were we felt it had fallen behind but most certainly that issue has been corrected. Food taste, presentation and portions are again were they had been. Probably due to managing things since Covid forced business to adjust. 100 percent satisfied and eager to recommend to others. You won t be disappointed Thank you to Perry, chef and full staff. Well done.

We hadn t been to Cabottos in a while. It was absolutely fabulous. The food was so good, service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing. My husband had the rack of lamb and he said it was probably the best he s ever had. I had fettuccine with peppers, mushrooms and chicken and it was delicous. We will be back again soon!

We had a fantastic meal and experience. It was hard to choose from the great selections on the menu. Everything we tried was top notch. We will be back! Parking: Ample parking. Lots of space. Kid-friendliness: There were a few families enjoying a meal together. Kids would need to be hold enough to stay at their seats the entire time though.

This is my favourite Italian restaurant in Ottawa. I have been to many different Italian places, in downtown, little Italy, etc but none of them are as good as Cabottos. Havent been disappointed ever in our multiple visits in the past couple years.
