Amazing gem in downtown. Highly recommend this to anyone. Excellent value. All hot and cold sandwiches consist of premium ingredients, and the portions are large. This place also has good coffee, and good dessert options. For good reason, this is my favourite sandwich shop!

Amazing place for a bite to eat ! deli meat is cut fresh right before your eyes, providing heaping amounts for your sandwich. Warm sandwiches are an option as well on top of pasta, lasagna, and tasty samosas. Also a great spot to grab an assortment of groceries as they sell products in house. Amazing staff and service.

Build your own sub with good options for toppings. Decent price and the subs will fill you up.

The food is always high quality with big proportions with affordable prices. The staff are extremely kind and helpful! The service is efficient and you re never waiting to order. The location is just off Bank, making it a continent stop. Highly recommend.

Disappointing experience with the service at this restaurant. The waitress lacks professionalism towards customers: she takes a lot of time for service and does not hesitate to be unpleasant. This attitude spoils the atmosphere and makes the meal less pleasant. It would be nice if the restaurant improved the welcome so that customers could enjoy a pleasant moment.

Had the buffalo chicken sandwich today , more batter then chicken , was dry probably from yesterday no flavour tasted funny , strongly don t recommend having the buffalo chicken sandwich quite disappointed.

Unfortunately when I went Sunday, we got hard bread. I will say that its the first time its happened within 10 visits. In general this is a delicious and filling deli sandwich place!

subito is the best ever. a short walk so my bf and i now go all the time, and we are always craving it and it s super consistent. reasonable price too when it makes you feel like you are shaggy and scooby doo eating a sandwich. the mild italian combo sub makes you smarter if you are in university and eat it in the library. the homemade cannoli was his first time trying cannoli and didn t disappoint. it also made his skin super clear. the spicy italian combo is a love potion. shout out to the guy who played Kiss Me by Sixpence None The Richer. also buy their merch

Wonderful little place in centretown. Always my go-to sandwich spot for my girlfriend and I and they never disappoint. Super nice staff and they are always willing to go above and beyond to make your food to your liking (I order a spicy Italian and always ask for a slice of prosciutto on top and they always accommodate me). The spot also offers a variety of house-made Italian foods like gnocchi or ravioli and the staff will cut you meat slices if you wish to take some home with you. If you live in centretown and still haven t tried subito ask yourself what the hell you are doing with your life and go get yourself a sandwich.

Everything was fresh and delish! I grabbed the famous spicy sandwich... not spicy at all! The cannoli was also tasty. I got the samosa but didnt eat it yet cuz I was full. Im pretty sure I will enjoy it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this place Parking: I cant remember exactly ..I think street parking is free after 4 or 5pm.

Hot and cold deli sandwiches that hit your taste buds the right way! My family and I, as well as friends regularly eat at Subito. The sub sandwiches are really tasty, using excellent qualiy deli meats and toppings. The bread is good great and very filling! They also have a good selection of common and a few uncommon soft drinks and other drinks, as well as chips and such. They also have a few tasty sweet pastry and other treats. I had the spicy shredded eggplant recently and, although I am not an eggp[lant fan in general, I would eat them again from here and in this style. Very yummy indeed! The in-house eating area is small, only having a few stool seats by the window, but they are comfortable and the eating area is always sufficiently clean. They play nice music that one would expect. Ive met the owners serving a couple times, who are among the workers there. They are always pleasant, professional and helpful, as are the staff. Pricing is fair and what youd expect. They sell most of the things youd expect in a small operations deli type sub sandwich restaurant. Overall, a really nice experience. Sorry, no pictures, I ate the sandwiches before I rememebred. :)

Went with my girlfriend for the first time today, and had a delightful experience. The gentlemen that served us was patient and gave us great recommendations. We got our order fast and the price was very affordable, especially for the quality and quantity of the food we got. Fresh and delicious sandwiches with a side of potato salad and cake, all were tasty. Without realizing they closed on Sundays at 4pm he kindly let us stay until way after close to finish our meal. I never write google reviews but I just had to share our experience. 5/5 would recommend and you ve just gained two new regulars.

Its ok. Turkey sandwich was a little dry, bread is not the best quality. The aubergine in the parmigiana was a little chewy. Otherwise the taste was ok.

This is my new favourite sandwich spot! It was fresh and delicious. I even got to enjoy my sandwich outside as they have a few tables set up. Oh and I treated myself to a cannolo and it was the best I ve had. It was perfectly crispy and sweet.

I really dislike leaving negative reviews but I have not had the best experience when ordering lunch here. In general, the sandwiches and desserts have been good. However, there have been a couple of occasions where I have ordered a turkey sandwich and received deli meat that is not turkey but from an entirely different animal altogether. I think I received some kind of spicy chicken today? Not sure but also not turkey. It s photographed here on the left. What really made my lunch less than ideal was tugging on chewy bacon upon my first bite. After pulling the bacon off I began to suspect that it was raw. In the photo you can literally see the light pink hues and raw fat. I was able to tear the slimy pieces apart with my hands and the fat was still stringy and solid. Just a couple of weird experiences, I guess. Enough for me to probably refrain from ordering here again or recommending it. Maybe give them a try but have a backup plan for lunch just in case? Edit: I appreciate the acknowledgement below. Ignored the raw bacon issue but thats okay.

Staff was great and place was nice but the veal sandwich I got was so hard to to chew i tried a few bites and the whole thing slides out the sandwich it just kind of sucks I heard so much good stuff about this place and it wasn t even eatable as a sandwich I literally need a fork and knife for this cutlet based on how tough the meat was.

I was happy to see them open earlier (9:30 on weekdays) than most sandwich shops since I wanted a meal in the morning. I went for a hot sandwich so the cheese can be melted. The sandwich was packed well with good flavours.

Pleasantly impressed. Even very much. There are not many places in Ottawa where you can eat deliciously for the price-quality ratio. Among the variety of meat options, I found incredible dishes without meat. Broccoli cream soup. It had a nice consistency, an interesting and spicy taste. Also, manicotti is an incredible pasta with a filling of ricotta and spinach in a tomato sauce... just wow! And for sweet connolle with the most tender and delicious cream cheese my love forever. And there is also a very convenient online ordering option (especially in the afternoon, when half of Ottawa comes there at the same time. And I understand them. You can also stand in line for a delicious dish) Full 5 out of 5

I order lunch from this restaurant frequently. The sandwiches are absolutely superb. The cannolis are awesome. The only thing I do not recommend is the barley soup - it is not as good as the rest of their fare. It is the only thing on the menu I tried a few times but will not order again. Everything else is really good. Their samosas are really tasty, especially if you prefer a less spicy samosa and a more meaty one. Always fresh, quite addictive. Yummy!

My new go to sandwich spot! Ordered from them a few times so far and not only is their bread and ingredients so fresh but service is also amazing! Ordered through uber eats mentioning an allergy and they were so accommodating and left me a note in my order me ensuring me they checked ingredients for their spicy mayo. I been hearing great things about this place and decided to give it a try - it did not disappoint! The gentleman who served me was pleasantly chatty and very friendly! The customer service was 10/10, these people really care about their food and customers. Here are the things I tried: - Pulled pork sandwich: WOW. The meat was so tasty and juicy, and the bun they used was perfect. I would dare say its better than the pulled.pork Ive had during Ribfest in Ottawa - Lasagna: everything youd expect in a lasagna, a little soft for my liking but very tasty nonetheless - Spinach and ricotta cannelloni: absolutely delicious. It disappeared too fast, wish I had gotten two orders. - Cookies: YUM!! A thicker cookie, amazingly chewy and enough salt (weird thing to say, but salt is everything in baked goods). Loved it - Cannoli: Im not a fan of cannolis in general but my fiancé says its 10/10 - Cream of broccoli soup: I was pleasantly surprised, it was REALLY good. Would definitely get it again!

I love the staff and food at subito but I m going to have to stop going there unfortunately. On at least 3-4 occasions I ve found several 2-3 inch dark hairs baked into my sandwich bread, in the cannoli, wrapped in the sandwich etc (I think men s hair from the head or someone with very long arm hair). I tried to call and inform them but they didn t seem to take the matter that seriously. They need to practice better food safety and hygiene. I know with certainty that the hair I have been finding isn t mine because it s actually deep into the pastries and bread at times or wrapped into the sandwich. I also don t have short dark straight hair. My most recent sandwich was the last straw, I found three separate hairs in the wrap and one in the sandwich. This is quite sad because the people are super friendly, they ll give you dessert for free at times as a nice gesture, the prices are reasonable, the ingredients are fresh, but this will now make the 3rd time of 10 visits where I ve had to throw out my food because I find someone s hair in it. I don t believe I m the only one but since they are such a gem, people may be scared to give the feedback. That or I m just unlucky re. subito sandwiches and cannolis.

Very weird experience here today. I went here as it has 4.9/5 star reviews and that many reviews cant be wrong but this was one of the worst sandwiches Ive ever had. I asked for the house special which he told me was a chicken parm, I agreed and he reached into a warming tray and grabbed a sandwich wrapped in tinfoil. They added a few veggies and I was on my way. When I picked it up to eat it I could feel immediately feel that the bottom bun was completely soggy. The top bun was rock hard and tasted stale. I have no idea how they managed to get such a contrast in the two buns. The chicken was clearly old as the breading had fully separated from the breast meat and the meat itself was very dry despite the sandwich being very wet. I have to imagine other products they make are better than this because their rating is quite good but my first experience here was a sandwich that was not fresh and did not taste good. Id stay away from chicken parm at the very least.

Delicious spicy buffalo chicken!

I was procrastinating on leave an overwhelming positive review previously, but after attempting to order from them again, I was met with a disappointing news that provoked me to leave a less than stellar review immediately. Throughout the course of multiple orders, the quality of Subitos products had a notable significant decrease in quality, as well as products size. But Ive excused it as anyone can have a bad day or two. But upon the most recent order, Ive noticed some of their products has hiked their price increase, up by 100%. This was inexcusable, deplorable greed. The line that made Subito Sandwich a superior choice, began as better quality, and even better pricing. But now theyve sunk and went below the line that made them special against other competitors. Subito has by their own hands, made themselves into just another mediocre sandwich shop with prices that does not compete with its competitors. I thought Subito Sandwich could become one of the local business that Id frequently support, but unfortunately with its latest development, its now a business I will no longer return to. Was good while it lasted.

Good food and good service. It was my first time and the nice man took me the through the menu and made excellent recommendations. The girl at the cash gave me an extra dessert since it was my first visit. I grabbed a hot sandwich and a cold one for later. I very much look forward to that second sandwich. Usually go to Di Rienzos but decided to stop by here since its a part of the same family and the sandwiches are just as amazing. Girl at the counter gave me a free cannoli and said she might be biased but she thinks theyre better than the ones at Di Rienzos and I have to say, she wasnt wrong!

We consistently enjoy sandwiches from Subito and decided to order cannoli and meat platters for our wedding from them. Could not be more pleased with the quality of the food we received the meat platters were beautifully arranged and everyone raved about the taste of everything! Service is always great. Cannot recommend them more!

Ordered a vegetarians sandwich in doordash because I heard it was good. Didn t even get any cheese in my sandwich even though it said I would get extra since I paying the same price as a meat sandwich. Terrible. First time trying them and my very last. Super disappointed. I don t k ow how it is in person but absolutely don t order online from them. They don t care.

Great little sub shop, went out of our way on a trip to Montreal to stop here. Well worth the extra two hours driving. Attached are photos of the house made Nanaimo bars, cannoli and a roast beef sandwich (house made roast beef). The other photo is the spicy Italian. We let the staff pick the cheeses toppings and sauces for us. Great service and even better food!!! Huge portion!!!

It looks like a little hole in the wall. But wow the sandwiches are great. I had the #15 Prosciutto Crudo and my daughter had the Chicken Parmigiana. So much Prosciutto! As soon as I said my order another staff member was slicing the meat ready for my sandwich as I added topping. Wish they had Peperoncino(sp) might be a different region/country thing, just hot peppers to add to a great sandwich.

The reviews speak for themselves, These are the best sandwiches in town & cannolis I had the pesto chicken sandwich It was unbelievable. The chicken was perfect no skin no grizzle every bite was perfect, The bread was so fresh. Then I bit into the Cannolie, I was brought back to the 1800s. Where nothing was manufactured or processed and everything was made by hand, the cookie that held the hand whipped cream not too sweet just right. I will definitely be returning to this establishment.

Steak had just come out of oven. Gentleman behind the counter recommend it, was a GOOD recommendation lol.

Very good Italian sandwiches. Freshly sliced meats, large buns. Bring an appetite. About the same price as chain brand subs but far better. Deserts looked amazing especially the cannolis.
