Great place for lunch, but service is slow during busy hours and not a good time for conservation.

I visited for a very quick catch up lunch with a local contact while at airport area meetings ..who has taste in food. Stayed close to the hotel/airport so I could get here early and read a book with a Cappuccino. Which was as close to perfect espresso to foam ratio I as I could have prayed to St.Drogo ( Patron Saint of espresso slingers ). Couldn t take pictures of the delicious food as this was a business meeting but honestly it as the welcome service from entering to helping me flag my Uber when it stated to sleet. Down to earth, but the food meets the promise the price suggests is all. I hope to visit again soon, when I m more hungry. The conversation was so good (because the atmosphere and volume level is again set to price level) we didn t eat as much as we enjoyed the food. Which is a compliment to the staff too. Appreciate my local peer who grew up nearby, moved away and has returned with family. And this is their spot to lunch. Parking: Free parking. Also easy to Uber in and out being near the airport. Perfect for lunch meetings.

This a great place for a nice meal with family or a date. The menu has a nice variety, including fancy adult beverages. The seasonal pizza is even done in quarters in the traditional Italian fashion which was appreciated by part of our group. I will be back. Parking: The plaza has a lot of spots but you may have to walk down the row a ways on busy evenings.

Great place for a lunch meeting or dinner. Nothing mind blowing but consistently good. The service is always great. I love their patio.

The food is delicious and the ambiance on the patio is very welcoming, less so inside. Service is ok, however they seem to be overwhelmed. The food was prepared in good time.

My starter house salad consisted of mixed greens and tomatoes, made soggy by the amount of dressing that it was tossed in. The pescatore was so disappointing. The scallops and mussels tasted of nothing, the sauce was completely lackluster with overly large pieces of red pepper tossed in as, what felt like, an after thought. I never like to leave a bad review but I was so disappointed. Our server never, at any point, asked if I was enjoying my food.

Mine and my husbands favourite restaurant. We frequented the one in the Byward Market until the fire, and my husband surprised me by showing me there was another location. Its further for us but we still go out of our way when we can. We even had our wedding dinner here in Septmeber and the service and food were excellent as always. We will continue to cherish this place for the people, and atmosphere that it has to offer, and what it means to us as a couple. But also THE FOOD. To die for.

Some of the best food Ive eaten in Ottawa. The arrabiata was the best Ive had in years, and the bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar was delicious. Highly recommended.

Vittoria Trattoria is our one of our favourite places for a celebration. The food is always an Italian treat, everything weve tried has been very tasty. We always start with the arranchini though, its amazing. The service is prompt and friendly, making reservations online is also very easy. Their gift cards go on sale at Costco occasionally and make the night out even better.

What an amazing experience! I forgot to mention in my reservation that I couldnt sit at a high table (bar area). Staff immediately remedied the situation. All staff were friendly yet professional and efficient. The food was outstanding. Great value. I 1000% recommend this restaurant!

This place is always busy for a reason! I went on a Wednesday night and it was packed. My friends and I all raved about our pasta dishes (bolognese, picante and funghi e pancetta). I will definitely be going back.

Ottawas best Italian. We wish theyd open a location in Orleans (Ottawas culinary desert). They do putenesca if you ask nice!

This use to be one of my top 3 restaurants and they made my all time favourite pasta. However the last few times I ve been, the pasta has tasted completely different. I don t know if they got a new cook or are cheaping out on ingredients, but now it s only average tasting. Which is unfortunate because they ve also increased there prices quite significantly. More money for poorer quality food.

Always great food and great service. If you havent been here its a must if you love Italian . All the apps are amazing the sambuca shrimp are my favorite . The caprese salad is the best Ive ever had by far . All their pastas are also amazing Im a huge fan of the bolognese and pescatore pastas here . If you want a 1 of kind dish the veal chop is exceptional . This is one of my favorite spots to dine anywhere.

Beautiful restaurant, lots of choices on the menu and table clothes on the tables! Started off with calamari fritti and bruschetta, these were fresh and very flavourful. My main dish, I myself love the fettuccine pescatore, my only change was to make my sauce a rose sauce. I turned out to be delicious lots of sauce, enough shrimps, scallops and fresh mussels. Tony our server was very attentive and professional. Grazie mille Domenic for taking care of my family and I.

Went for my birthday dinner and the service was not good. It took 15 minutes to get water the server we had was very attentive. The food was fantastic but the service was honestly embarrassing for this level of restaurant. I understand that it was busy but not getting a drink or food order for almost 25 minutes is insane to me. I honestly do love this restaurant but for my birthday dinner I was quite disappointed.

Our favourite restaurant, our go-to for special occasions. Was disappointed last evening, however. My friend and I ordered the veal piccata with pasta as a side rather than the potatoes and vegetables. I have often ordered this variation in other restaurants, had not tried Trattorias yet but assumed it would be up to their usual excellent standard. But alas. The lemon caper sauce had a slightly congealed texture, with very few capers. And although I see now that their menu doesnt promise fresh pasta, I assumed it would be, and was disappointed by the boring texture of the linguine. The veal itself was excellent: tender and delicious. Everything else was wonderful: the calamari secured its spot last night, once again, as our favourite in the city.. and the arancini was flavourful and had a wonderful texture. The Caesar salad was perfect and gobbled down, and the mens pizzas were excellent- I am ordering the Vittoria next time! Our server was very professional and pleasant, but clearly was too busy and the service was slow. Unfortunately, on such a hot night, their a/c either wasnt working or not well, and despite the young woman serving water apologizing for it, this did not make it any less uncomfortable. Id rate this 3.5 to 4, while in the past, we have always had a 5 star experience.

Our server Victoria was absolutely amazing with everything (the wine we chose was a little too sweet for our liking) and she was able to make it right!! Her attention to everything was so appreciated! That s why we continue to choose VT for our go to place!

One of the premier go-to restaurants in Ottawa for Italian food. Great wine selection (love the Malbec from Argentina). Chef here is top notch with an amazing selection to satisfy any palette. I usually go for the ceasar salad and funghi pancetta...mouth watering flavour and a very decent sized portion will guarantee satisfaction for almost any appetite. The fresh baked molten cake, tiramisu and apple crumble top off this delicious experience. You will not be disappointed.

100% not worth the hype. On the positive side: the patio is nice. Everything we had lacked salt, whatever had garlic was too garlicky. Service was super cold, our server only smiled when giving the cheque and she took 30 minutes to take our order. Prices weren t too high but still not even close to be worth it given the food and overall experience. Overall, not terrible, but I would never recommend it or go back. Their demographics make total sense. It is not a place for foodies that appreciate good food and a nice personable experience

What a delicious restaurant !! The Penne Arrabiata was outstanding. The margherita pizza was very tasty. The sauce tastes homemade. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. What a find!!!

We occasionally go there for diner. Mostly, we have eaten pasta (carbonara is my favorite) and pizza. We have always found it to be one of the better places in Ottawa for great food at a reasonable price.

WARNING:this view was not sent by me it was sent by my daughter so it was not sent by me. I had some meatballs they where good I liked them. I had tiramisu the trifle in the tramisu was a little soggy but over all it was good. I also had some of my moms chocolate cake and it was really good. Five stars. Also my waiter Shaun has work there for 8 years so can we just spam in comments we love shauncause he deserves it.

Fantastic way to spend our 23rd anniversary

What ever you do, DONT book a reservation for large groups at this restaurant! I booked a reservation to celebrate with family, and ended up having the worst experience ever. The food portions were very small and the service was horrible. After we were done eating the server came to ask us how to split the bill and disappeared for 1 hour. Only for the Manger to come and inform us after 1 hour that we would be required to pay one bill and started being very rude and unpleasant about it. In two weeks of communication with the restaurant never did they mention that we would be provided one bill, otherwise we would have made prior arrangements to avoid any embarrassment or inconvenience.

We had the best server for our party of 8 for a wedding dinner. Our server Frederic was the absolute best and I would go back there again just for service like his. The food was great, service was amazing and he dealt with picky eaters and a 3 yr old so amazingly.

Food was delicious the waiter was great, except I didnt like him rearranging my utensils on my bread plate. I had to fix it. Not good. We sat outside and the ambiance is very romantic. Will go back.

Wow, what an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived we received unparallel services from our waiter Fred. We miscommunicated our order and without hesitation he offered to compensate for the incorrect appetizer. The food was absolutely phenomenal and delicious. We ordered the diavola pizza and it was unlike any other gourmet pizza I ve had. The restaurant was clean, comfortable and has a cozy romantic vibe. Price was reasonable for the quality of food we got. If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant near the Ottawa airport, this is the place to go!!

Came here on my second visit to celebrate a special occasion with family and my partner. We all ordered the salmon as it is one of the best dishes. As an overview, service was terrible (racist) and food wasn t that great. In context, the salmon arrived with very little portions of veggies but the kicker was the rice. The rice was unbelievably salty to the point of being inedible. We asked the server if there had been a mistake and he said the kitchen says it s fine. We were surprised and requested a new batch of rice perhaps to which the server responded it s all the same batch. We were understanding and decided to opt for extra veggies and no rice instead. We were absolutely shocked when they came with a plate of 4 slices, yes slices, of carrots and 2 broccolis for 4 people! It was insulting to say the least and so we requested the manager as the server just placed the plate and left in a hurry. When we explained to the manager that the food was extremely salty and the veggie portion was shocking, he responded to my parents in a very condescending tone that interrupted my mom, who was asking for perhaps less salt, saying We can make another dish with no zero salt, maybe you d prefer that . While my parents were complaining, the manager paid no attention to them and only acknowledged my partner (who is white) and was apologetic to her. He ensured her that the salty food would be fixed and refused to acknowledge my mother. My partner even eyed me and was shocked at the racist treatment we were receiving as opposed to her. I was okay with paying and did not want a new dish. But, when the manager overheard me telling my parents that I will just take it to go and fix it myself at home, he insisted repeatedly to bring me another dish while stating we don t like to hear that, we can give you something you could like . The issue was never about whether we like the dish or not. It was the fact that a) the food was inedible as it was very salty b) the veggie portions for 4 people was extremely insulting c) the treatment was racist and unhelpful (only my partner received actual eye contact and accommodation) Overall, the experience was very poor and we felt looked down upon. I m aware the food is normally good, hence why I brought my parents there. But the unwillingness to admit the food was inedible, only until my white partner said so, was unjustified. It s a shame because I was planning to make it a regular spot for me and my partner but I will definitely be avoiding this restaurant moving forward. I paid the $200 bill and tipped because we were never looking for compensation nor for anything else. We simply were hoping for a good meal and a sincere and professional treatment.

We had the best time tonight celebrating my mom s retirement celebration (party of 22 guests) our server was amazing the food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. 100% will be back , we were all raving about the food. My husband ordered the filet mignon and I ordered the Sophia pasta dish 10/10 would recommend .

In Ottawa on vacation from Chicago, visiting friends and family. This place was so good with friends, I took my entire family back the next night. Veal Parmesan was out of this world. Normally the spaghetti is just a garnish for me, but the rose sauce with it was so amazing and addictive it was a perfect co-star! Service was incredible both nights as well.

Ordered the tortellini with gorgonzola sauce, and beet salad. Both were INCREDIBLE! Both dishes had perfect flavours, perfect proportions, and delicious. They were also willing to take out the meat from any other dishes if I wanted.

Fantastic dining experience at Victoria Trattoria on Saturday evening. 3 diners including one elderly family member. Service was impeccable with amazing patience and attention to our tables special needs. The food and beverage were fantastic and the prices were quite reasonable for a fine dining establishment. Booked a reservation for 7 (4 adults + 3 kids) to celebrate our friends wedding. Was difficult to find a time to accommodate a group our size, but we were flexible and had no issue settling on a 5 pm timing as we had young ones in our group. Restaurant atmosphere is average. Food portions were good, food was served hot, but again nothing more than average. Service during the meal was poor. We had to flag the server down numerous times, he had issues hearing us (not sure if restaurant noise or hearing issues), no effort to aid us in recommending options for the kids, no effort to come back for second drink orders until we flagged them down. One of our group was still eating her appetizer when the mains arrived and she was prompted to lift her appetizer plate to make space for her main...so there she was sitting, appetizer plate in hand with no offer to remove it or clear space so she could finish it. To make things worse, you can imagine our shock that as our friend is mid-dessert with a full glass of wine left that we were informed our time was up. We had to leave to make room for the next seating. Now I admit we had been there for just over 2 hours, but how do we go from no sense of urgency, celebrating our friends, spending almost $600! to getting rushed out the door?! I asked to speak to the manager and she came over only to confirm that it was time to leave to make room for the next people! The manager said that we should have been informed when we booked of the time limit or that we should have volunteered we would be celebrating and wanted a longer time. I informed her that at no time was a time restriction mentioned. Completely ruined everything. Despite the owner being on site it wasnt until I stopped at the front on my way out to ask the manager how to contact the owner that she went straight away to get him. He was quite apologetic and said that is not how they treat guests, however, all staff behaviour was to the contrary. Credit to him he did ask how he could fix things, but frankly the damage was done, you cant undo ruining a celebration. So, some advice - train your staff - if you have a seating time limit - state it - ask your guests if the reservation is for a special occassion. Train your servers if you are seeking to offer a service that clearly your prices reflect. Else, as other reviewers have noted there are many options for a nice meal in town and that is where our business will go to from now on.

I had the spaghetti and meat balls. Ive had better and more reasonably priced at other restaurants. The service was top notch and very helpfu,l knowledge wise, in respect to the wine offerings to match our meals. We will return to try another dish. Parking: We had to park a bit of a distance away as the lot was full. Its a small strip mall with a Drs office. We were there for a late lunch early dinner. (Approximately 1:30 to 2 pm.)

Not enough vegan options, there was only one dish and it was overpriced. The atmosphere was boisterous mind you it was a Saturday night, but it was like trying to talk in a bar. The service was pathetic, I joined a few minutes after everyone else and was not even offered a drink by the waiter. The whole experience felt rushed, once the meal was done, you felt they wanted you gone ASAP to make room for the next group. It wasnt the best birthday dinner for my daughter, thats for sure!

I found this to be more Greek in feeling - probably the foodstuffs for sale by the front door. Wonderful desserts ready for takeout, but there are a few tables to sit at. More of a takeout place than a full restaurant. Wonderful staff!

From crispy fried calamari to heavenly pizza, pasta, each bite is a testament to the talented kitchen staff. Expertly cooked salmon and savory chicken dish was delectable. And for dessert, indulge in the delicious tartufo and tiramisu. With impeccable service and a cozy atmosphere, its more than just a meal. Thank you!

We were first seated inside, where it was very animated, with large groups of young people in loud conversation . We asked to sit by the bar in the high top tables. It was a little cool to sit outside, although ambiance is great and heaters going. Our food was delicious and the wine and beer exactly as expected! The difference in this place is the service! Chris Coutu was outstanding! Right amount of attention and with an eye to important detail. We also witnessed another Chris provide attentive service to a couple who dine every Thursday and help an older woman to the washroom. From the invitation to have water, to description of food choices, to timing of the food and attention to detail, and above all - quality of the food- we love this restaurant! Chris and Chris - you are a credit to your employer! We shall be back!

Not even remotely safe for celiac ppl, I would even stress allergies in general. Both me and my husband ordered gf and explained that I was allergic to gluten, gf bread was offered, we accepted. Gluten filled bread was brought. After realizing what had happened, they brought us the bill... I dont think their restaurant is qualified to handle anything outside the norm so Id hesitate if you have any specific dietary requirements. I also thought to bring me the bill after realizing Id been served food I was allergic too is an insult to injury. We left to go to the hospital (Im 8 months pregnant so we needed to make sure this wasnt going to affect the baby) Dietary restrictions: I would stress that they are probably not capable of handling any form of dietary restrictions. Specifically celiac disease/ gluten allergy.

Just celebrated Mothers Day at this restaurant and the service was top notch and the food was delicious. Our server was Johnathan and he had such a fabulous personality and was very attentive to ensuring we were taken care of throughout our evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant and if you request Johnathan as your server you will without a doubt have a great experience.

This restaurant has an outdoor patio with heated lamps. Indoor bar area and a dinning room. The Italian brick oven vegetarian pizza was very good. The restaurant made an accommodation to make an white sauce pasta with vegetables. The service is excellent.

Food was amazing. Ceasar salad is top, and the carbonara was delicious. The apple crumble for dessert was definitely a great option. My server was a little nonchalant but otherwise still good.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal and Mothers Day celebration. As usual, your veal marsala & veal piccata were delicious. We missed your charcuterie board appetizer, but enjoyed trying your new escargot appetizer with the tasty tarragon & white vermouth garlic cream sauce over a puff pastry. Unfortunately waited 2 hours for a pizza dinner, which were very tasty. It was very busy, waiter apologized, but then was going to order dessert but waiter took too long to come back, (20mins) so had to leave . Expensive beer and pizza, $60

Tasty meal. The service wasnt so great. We were left hanging after initially being asked about our order when we settled in. No one came to ask us again for over 15 mins despite calling the attention of one of the waiters. Instead, various waiters kept servicing the loads of people that came after us. It wasnt cool at all.

Excellent choice, it was so good that we decided to go back for a second time. Quite a popular destination as there were always individuals waiting in get in. We were lucky the first time and the second time, tge staff were very accommodating when we were making reservations.

Stumbled upon Vittoria Trattoria after my father inlaw received the cancer free from his specialist at the OGH. What a great place to celebrate. Staff, food and atmosphere were perfect in every way. Thankyou so very much.

I had salmon and it was delish. Their food is always good and servers are also very friendly and polite.

We have been here a few times now. Every time, the food and service are exceptional. Kid-friendliness: We brought my children ages 4 and 7. They made accommodations to suit their dietary needs and treated them just as well as they did the adults who were present. I would bring my children again in a heartbeat.

Excellent food good service

We had a lovely late lunch at Vittoria Trattoria, my cousins favourite restaurant. They accommodated my request for a vegan meal, despite not having anything vegan on the menu. Lisa was our server and she was delightful! Our food came quickly and was delicious. I would go back. Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options, no specific vegan options but they made vegan pasta for me. Parking: The parking was plentiful on a weekday afternoon. Could possibly fill up in the evenings. Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible

The pizzas were delicious (I had the caprese) and the service was friendly and very good, especially considering these are COVID times. Every dish is made with care. The wine selection is extensive and very affordable.

Staff were friendly and the food was delicious. Weve been going to this restaurant for years. It has been our favorite in Ottawa each time my kids needed to carbo load before a competition. Pasta and pizza are awesome! Highly recommend.

We have been coming here for a number of years and have always had a good experience. This week when we went the service was definitely not up to standard. After our entrees were brought not one server came to ask us if we wanted wine with dinner, wanted drink refills, asked how dinner was going or came to refill our water glasses. Very disappointed in the service. The food was excellent as always but eating out is not just about the food, its a package experience that includes food, ambience and service. It was a disappointing night.

Never judge a restaurant by the strip mall! Just a great spot with an extensive wine list and outstanding Italian dishes. Pizzas looked great, will try next time. I had the special zuppa which was Mushroom, very well blended and delish, as well as the lasagna which was fresh baked for me, a tad small, but seriously wonderful with crispy bits of cooked cheese. The Zuppata or similar cake was quite nice and light.

Lovely Italian restaurant with amazing service! I had the pizza, mum had a seafood pasta. It was absolutely fabulous! Would come back, for sure!
