i had 2 junior bowl and kafta combo , Honestly i wasn t expecting that from boustan but they just changed my thoughts about them yesterday. They have a good customer service and best part is they doesn t charge you for some stuffs which other restaurants would charge you .they will not say no to you but will let you know gently that it was extra but we are giving you ,so you can let us know next time before you pay And food were good specially the amount of meat they give it s fine to be honest ,compared to other places. And you can hangout with friends here or can bring your family . I will come again next week for sure

Beef shawarma in the Saj bread is the best

I am from Montreal and Boustan is an institution there. Similar quality of ingredients as Shawarma Palace in Ottawa and grilled on an actual grill (toasted and has grill marks). What separates Boustan from the competition is its delicious cole slaw in their shawarmas. Also, very reasonably priced. Enjoy, Ottawa!

Ordered two platters, both came with barely any meat and what meat was there was extremely dry. Also expected to get hummus and garlic sauce for both meals but never did.

Today, with temperatures soaring, the restaurant lacks air conditioning, and to add to the discomfort, the restroom is out of order. Additionally, the staff struggles to provide clear explanations about the food.

Very good food was hot and fast service

Stopped in today around 10pm July 17th and the staff were very pleasant. Tried the 2 can dine for $19.99. One beef sandwhich and one chicken sandwhich. Everything tasted delicious, salad they have for the pita was very wet and created a soggy sandwhich, which would be my only complaint. The garlic sauce is subtle, creamy, and soft. The potatoes were fresh. Location was clean and free of riff raff.

This place is clean, well kept, consistent, and most of all - CRAVE-ABLE. My friends and I get this consistently on Uber eats since they often have good deals (and not just fake buy one get ones). My favourite is the Junior Shawarma Bowl with the potatoes. Rice is not as good imo, but the potatoes are best in class. Eat here and I promise you won t regret it!

Honestly, the shawarma wrap is just not it and neither are the potatoes. Youd expect some seasoning, maybe some heat and taste but its just bland. Both the potatoes and the shawarma wrap. On top of that very small portion and was for some reason not really firm for a wrap. Ive got to say its very disappointing and there are better spots out there. Couldve just been a bad day but theres many more options out there for me to explore.

I have a severe Hummus and Tahini allergy, due to them containing Sesame. We made an Uber Eats order and the restaurant calls saying that their Garlic contains Tahini. (Very weird by the way lmao, never seen that before). So we ask that the order is cancelled because as any human knows, Shawarma should not be eaten without Garlic. Especially as an Arab you know this. He refuses to cancel the order and says deal with Uber. This is over an ALLERGY I remind you. We talk to Uber Eats, telling us they will not cancel without a charge unless the restaurant cancels it on their own. The restaurant claims they cannot cancel on their end, which most people should know that s a lie, if a restaurant is missing an item or for whatever reason doesn t want to complete the order, they have the capability to cancel it. I ve seen it, it s been done, but greedy, selfish people will do whatever it takes to keep your money. This is disgusting and never eating here again.

If I can give negative stars I would, horrible customer service and food is old and uneatable. To the owner pleases humble yourself, you re in the restaurant business with at least 20 other shawarma places in ur area. They Can t follow directions and does not take allergies serious. If you want real shawarma go down the street to shawarma palace at 464 Rideau street.

Tried this on the first day they opened. It was very tasty and the meat was very juicy. They also put a generous amount of meat in my sandwich. I hope they will be consistent with their quality. The nearby shops seemed to stop caring about quality and hopefully this place can take their place. Update: Ive been here a several times after my original review. The quality has never been in the same as their opening week. It just doesnt taste that good anymore

I got this for Christmas and let s just say they served this to me like I was the grinch. This meal was made with no care or attention as they just threw the ingredients in the box and threw it out to you. I want to mention that there was also a questionable dynamic with the employees working as I noticed what appeared to be like verbal abuse from one employee to the younger teenage one. I shall not be returning to this establishment.

I love coming here after a night out, it s by far the best shawarma in Ottawa. The owner is the kindest man and the food is always very fresh and delicious!

The flavours are great, and the prices are good too (especially the value bowls - I recommend adding a mix of the tahini-harra and mango-tahini sauce). Great place to stop for lunch during work. Service was friendly and fast. They have a discount coupon for students! Been there multiple times now, and plan to order again soon.

If there was an option of negative stars, they would get minus 5 stars. After having tried Boustan in montreal, we ordered thru uber eats and were extremely disappointed. They messed up our order. Lettuce was brown in color. Pita bread was stale and crunchy. Chicken was burnt and prickly. Garlic spread was not fresh. Roasted potatoes were burnt. Beef was tasteless and chewy. It was overall a disappointing experience. Never again. We paid 9.99 per pita and that was money down the drain

Ordered through uber eats for buy 1 get 1 then I find that the portions are almost half the portion of any comparable shawarma restaurant, taste is fine

The dish is almost half the expected amount. And the taste is really poor. Chicken is burnt and meat is chewy. Salad not fresh

I am severely disappointed. The picture shows the platter that we received. There was barely some pieces of chicken, and the rest was crumbles. The non-crumble chicken pieces were dry and old and some were even disintegrating. The amounts, as seen in the picture, were minimal! As the server was making the platter, he was serving the chicken from a separate plastic container and not from the main chicken skewer. God knows how long the chicken was stored in that container. Very disrespectful to serve old left-over chicken crumbs in front of the customer. I don t even want to start on the sandwich barely ate a couple of bites. First and definitely last time eating here.

I had the pleasure of visiting Boustans new location in Ottawa and I must say, it did not disappoint! The shawarma was just as delicious as I remembered it from the Montreal location. The saj plate was a great alternative to the classic wrap and the brochette platter was a hit with my friends who love kebabs. The veggie platter was a great option for my vegetarian friend and she loved the variety of dishes included. The creation pita was a unique and tasty fusion of flavors. And of course, the homemade baklava was the perfect way to end our meal. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend checking out Boustans Ottawa location and taking advantage of their $2 pita deal before it ends!

Ive only eaten here 3 or 4 times. This is based on my most recent visit which was this morning at approx. 1:30 a.m. Clean dining room and washroom. The staff were polite and professional. They wore gloves when handling the food. I got a trio and I think its about $4 cheaper from what Im used to paying. The potatoes were fresh. The shawarma was well put together. It was a nice atmosphere.

Food is great, the garlic potatoes are some of the better tasting ones in Ottawa. Its relatively inexpensive and you also get a 15% discount if youre a student. Service can be very slow though compared to other places around this area, if its busy you can expect to wait 15+ minutes for your food.

The service was horrible. I asked for lettuce, chicken, garlic and hummus. I got lettuce tomato hummus and chicken. I got a trio they didnt give me my drink The shawarma itself wasnt that bad but the portions for 18$ arent great. The pita crumbled to dust from being over heated and I had to eat it with a fork. The lettuce wasnt fresh as you can see below it had brown pieces in it. And the garlic potatoes were OK. It took them over a half hour to get our order together as well. Below is my order after 3 bites If you want shawarma go across the street to three brothers.

Unfortunately, my experience at the kebab restaurant was very disappointing. The meat was dry, the vegetables looked wilted, and the sauce lacked flavor. I was hoping for a tasty experience, but came away with a terrible disappointment. I do not recommend this restaurant.

I was very happy with the service provided by Yacine and the cashier (sorry I forgot to ask for her name). I ordered on Doordash but received the wrong order. After a quick phone call they prepared my whole order again for no charge. Its understandable that mistake happens when things get busy, but what matters is that they owed up to it. Food was tasty but not as good as the OG Boustan on Crescent St in MTL

Look , the food is not bad , but why can t you add fries in the shawarma ? It does not make sense ? Traditional shawarma is made with fries , pickles , tahini , garlic , lettuce , and chicken. The food chain needs to understand how to make real shawarma. Overall chicken was an 8/10, bread was an 8/10, but making a custom sandwich with fries should not be that hard. I will say it is not the workers fault , I am directly addressing the chain , the workers at this location are good people.

Boustan was a favourite of mine when I lived in Montreal many years ago. I finally got a chance to go to the one on Rideau Street tonight and it did not disappoint! And to boot, they now have a vegan option- a mushroom based meat. It was DELICIOUS. I love Shawarma P down the street but I have to say, I now have a new go-to place .... already and planning my next visit! Thank you Boustan! The first time I give 1 star to a restaurant. Ordered tabbouleh and fattouch . Arrived without sauce and the veggies are not fresh ( the sweet pepper at least a week old) Honestly, its not authentic lebanese food , same sandwich came with kebab or taouk. The kebab is tastless, and the chicken is to dry ( chicken reheated). Good luck with your business. But dont call it lebanese please.

I ordered a meat shawarma sandwish and a chicken sandwish. Coleslaw shouldnt be used in the meat sandwish it takes over the taste and the whole experience. Also the garlic could be improved for the chicken shawarma and coleslaw should be used less in the sandiwsh since it also covered the chicken spices taste and garlic taste. As for delivery, the sandwishes reached cold. The packaging was good.

The Saj Chicken Shawarma is delicious. The Saj is well toasted and perfectly seasoned. The chicken is tender and the sauces tasty.

Sometimes it is fantastic, rarely it is horrible. Highly dependent on who is working. Theres an older man who gives less meat than the others and doesnt know how to properly roll the sandwich... Ive also had cold meat from him before because he used meat that had already been shaved from the spit without being kept warm... The other staff are all fantastic and give an excellent sandwich every time.

No idea why there is no washroom or place to wash your hands here but the food is good and the restaurant is clean

Finally Boustan is in Ottawa!!! Went there with friends and family. Ordered beef shawarma and Mix Saj platters. The food was delicious and generous quantity. The taste is the better than Shawarma Place,that might be just me. The owner served us the food and was very accommodating. This is one of the very few shawarma place, where they ask which sauce and toppings do you want on your plates. Later he checked on us if the food was okay. Happy with the hospitality and customer service of this place. Definitely going there again!

The oldman owner doesn t provide meat properly inside sandwich and his attitude towards his staff is rude, i have seen that in my own eyes here. But their food is tasty compared to other shawarma places.

I genuinely love Boustan- I was pleasantly surprised to see that one had opened up in Ottawa and I think it is fair to say that this spot ALMOST lived up to the original Boustan shawarmas and platters you get in Montréal. I would have certainly given this a 5 star if the worker had been a bit more generous with the meat and garlic sauce in my platter, but aside from that this is definitely one of the best shawarmas you ll get in Ottawa

You can upgrade to trio for $3 more. . I went to try more of their dishes - here is what I tried! . SAJ Plate : if you like platters but don t want to wrap your own shawarmas, this is perfect! The Saj bread is crispier in m opinion. . Brochette Platter (Mixed, chicken and beef): perfect if you love kebabs, these are freshly grilled! . Vegetarian Platter: veggies include Mousakha sauce, 1 falafel, eggplant , oriental omelette , coleslaw, garlic potatoes , and tabouleh! . The Creation pita: so unique! It is a fusion of the vegetarian and shawarma pitas! As someone who loves variety, I really enjoyed this. . End your meal with their homemade baklava! Crispy and not too sweet.

No no no! BIG NO! I had this from Mtl several times and remember the charcoal smell that was luring me to go inside + its always busy downtown Mtl! So, when I found out we had 1 here, I was very happy and wanted to try it. I went there around 9pm, not busy at all. I didnt smell anything from outside and inside...but still wanted to give it a try. 1st, let them know that you dont want All Dressed cuz you will end up getting that! They give everyone the same toppings without asking! They dont even do that in Mtl nor other places Ive been in Ottawa! Portion is average. From chicken to potatoes and garlic nothing tasted the same! When I read other peoples comments about how this place tasted just like in Mtl I dare you to go to Mtl and even bring it here and compare it yourself! But Im pretty sure that shawarma wont make it to Ottawa..and you will understand why! Tonight, I was very very disappointed The Boustan here didnt live up to my expectations at all!!!
