Olly Fresco’s is a prepared food market concept, geared towards urban core professionals. Our mission is to be the neighbourhood’s “go to” breakfast and lunch favourite. Our concept is one of a handful of concepts who see their clientele several times per week. Great, wholesome, real food, lightning fast service and affordable prices are what we consider key ingredients to staying top shelf in the industry, and one of our best assets is our incredible unmatched selection. We really strive to make that daily grind a whole lot more interesting.
I have been getting cold, stale food in the past few times that I have been at this location. Prices seem higher than the other Olly's, which is kinda sus 😳
Came for lunch and grabbed a fresh Philly Cheese steak. Found it quite pricey for the portion, and found there wasn't really enough beef on it to be worth it. Food is fast and they have decent selection, but seems pricey for what it is. Might give it another try and get something different, but the hot sandwich just didn't feel worth it.
Best place for lunch downtown. Variety of fresh prepared homemade food in the buffet: meat, fish, salads
A great place to grab lunch. Lots of variety, both hot and cold, from breakfast sandwiches to hot buffet. Great staff too. Varied menu.
The prepackaged food (sandwiches, salads) is well priced and fresh. Really good spot to grab lunch in the downtown core. Everything is very clean and well maintained.
Solid place to grab a quick bite during work hours. 2 drawbacks out of the way - it gets VERY crowded and tight to move around, and there's very little place to sit and eat. Otherwise, a nice variety of food selection including a rotating selection in their small buffet (wish I knew the schedule, haha). Their butter chicken is one of my favourites. Pricing is decent. They charge the buffet by weight, so be aware of the before filling your dish with rice! I find I usually spend around $12-15 for a plate with a drink.
Great place downtown. They weigh the food you pick, so the price is up to you. They have a salad bar and buffet style food. Grilled chicken, roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables are regular. Then they have specials like fish and chips, or roast beef. A lot of beverages available. Cookies, brownies, and rice Krispies squares for snacks. They have a sandwich bar as well, which I haven't tried yet. Repeat customer.
Incredible fast take out breakfast spot. Our team goes every Wednesday to get a power wrap such as this one in the picture. It is made fresh on the grill to order and only costs $5.65 taxes included! Highly recommend!
Im in love with this place. I am eating there every 2/3 days because I am working in the building and I can say that the quality of the food is spectacular considering the location. In the center. A 10 out of 10. They charge you for the food by weight and I really like that because you choose whether to put more meat or more vegetables and you only pay for the weight. You can have a coffee for 1.75 and you can have a very good meal for 10$.
Nice place to stop for lunch. Hot bar kinda pricey stops me from going often.
Quality, variety, freshness, price
Eating healthy is difficult when on the run...this is my go-to place for a balanced diet. Quality and fresh ingredients served to us with a smile.
Compared to the Calgary location this is terrible.
Great food and fantastic prices.
Shady business practices. They tell you their food is $2.69 a pound for lunch by weight, when in fact it is $9 a pound. They dont give you a receipt unless you ask for one so no way to know they are charging you over 3 times what they are advertising.
You wouldn t think you d get such great food from a cafeteria style lunch spot, but you d be wrong. Everything from scratch. But the shawarma station is a hidden gem, and the guy working it makes everything himself. Generous portions and in all honestly the best I ve had in Ottawa (yes, I m even including shawarma palace in that). Highly recommend the chicken shawarma salad for a filling, healthy lunch!
Great food, great value. A true gem in the downtown core. Food is made fresh daily.
Fantastic sandwiches and wraps for a really good price.
Great food and very fresh !!!
Great food. I tried this place during lunchtime with a colleague. We found it better than the other places we go for lunch. It is pricey compared to other places we go but totally worth it. We will definitely go back for lunchtime.
Delicious food but too pricey
Fresh food, awesome staff!
We had a couple meetings down town so we decided to stop at this place for a quick lunch. Surprised at what a big selection of food they had. I had the Shawarma plate and my associate had the Shawarma. He said they stuffed as much filling as they possibly could which he was happy about. I really liked my plate because they used Basmati rice which was awesome. First place Ive seen do that with a Shawarma plate. Most places cheap out but these guys dont. Happy to support a local business!
Good food, good prices.
Very good portion size for the money
A lot of options for lunch, but try having healthier meals and introduce more options for vegetarians and vegans.
Best in town. Excellent Service. Quality food.
Shawarma is spot on, chicken is fresh and delicious. The buffet can get pricey and the items are not the best, the ready to eat stuff is hit or miss. Stick to shawarma, soup and make your own sandwich station.
Tad expensive but yummy.
Lots of choice!! Always fresh and quality service
Great food for good prices
Used to be good until someone complained that it was not halal to put a panini on the panini press. Nice for someone to decide whats best for everyone else!
Great place
After a recent visit to ollys Ive noticed that the food has made a great improvement ! cheers ollys!
Clean fast lots of variety and fair prices
Best location downtown
The Google map market showing Elgin St. entrance is not correct. Ollys entrance is on Albert St. in front of the Fuller Building
I enjoy it! They have a large varied selection and everything always seems so fresh!
Its awful the food is cold the women are slow workers and rude and once I found hair in one the soups
The quality of the food ranges from decent to absolutely terrible. I had a breakfast wrap once that had raw egg in it, just the worst. I complained and all the manager offered was to cook the egg for me (not even an apology). On the flip side, weekdays after 2:00 the cooked food goes on sale at 50% off which is good in a pinch for a lazy dinner or a late lunch. On Fridays, all the prepared food (including salads) go on sale at 50% off as well.
I work in the department of finance on 90 Elgin, and Olly Frescos is my restaurant of choice, breakfast is great, and at lunch they have so many choices, from sandwiches to salads, even a hot and cold buffet! The shawarma there is amazing, the garlic sauce is unbelievable. Highly recommended
Hot fresh breakfast food in the morning, or ready-made sandwiches to go. Theres no seating, but the main lobby attached has tables/chairs and benches between this and Tim Hortons.
Cashiers are always unfriendly and often accidentally over charge. Most things are over priced. The quality can vary - my seven dollar ice berg lettuce salad had dirt on the leaves. Convenient location.
I liked the food but one of the cashiers is the rudest person that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with in the service industry. Everyone I work with have had issues with getting through the line when it is at her cash. I used to go there at least twice a week but I will never return.
