Came here today to grab a quick lunch. I had the chicken shawarma wrap combo with their amazing student discount! It was very flavorful and delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a great experience and will definitely come back. We recommended they add ayran to their menu which pairs very well with shawarma and they said they sent a request already!
One of the best Shawarma place in the city. Tried their chicken shawarma bowl and loved it and also an associated named Umar provided a great customer service and prepared the food very well.
I recently ordered a butter chicken rice bowl from Tahinis through DoorDash, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. There was a buy-one-get-one-free deal, which already made it a great value, but the quantity was more than I expected. The portion size was perfect—easily enough for one person’s dinner. As for the taste, it was delicious. The butter chicken was rich and flavorful, blending perfectly with the rice. For the price, it’s one of the best deals I've come across. They even offer royal shawarma party tray at the best price. If you're looking for a satisfying, tasty meal that's also budget-friendly, I’d highly recommend Tahini's!
Must try place if you love shawarma!!!! This place has variety of flavours including butter chicken and jerk chicken. The sitting is limited but parking is plenty. The atmosphere and service were also good. The best part is that it is open till late night - 2am. Would definitely keep going back to this place.
The key word in the title "Tahini's Mediterranean Fusion Cuisine" isn't Tahini or Mediterranean, but rather the word "Fusion" because this is not your typical Lebanese shawarma restaurant. There's nothing Lebanese, Syrian or Mediterranean about Butter Chicken or Jamaican Jerk, so you're basically in for a new experience ... some will like it, others won't ... but to be fair, it's important to avoid the temptation of comparing Tahini's shawarma sandwiches to a regular shawarma sandwich. You basically need to judge each item on the menu by its own merit. I really liked this place. The atmosphere is trendy, the staff are friendly and the food was great. For their shawarma sandwiches they use a stretchy type of saaj bread, which tasted amazing and didn't dry up after being toasted. The pomegranate sauce is a nicely added touch and the chicken was tender. Their fries are quite good and the garlic sauce is exceptional ... it's creamy, and has a good level of garlic taste, but not too strong that you'll need to avoid people afterwards ... 😜 I highly recommend their fries with a side of garlic sauce. I noticed later that their menu includes a halloumi wrap ... it's definitely something to try next time. Also the bowl concept is interesting, if you want to avoid eating your meal as sandwich or to skip the carbs in the bread. One thing I found to be weird however is how rice is suggested as a side to a sandwich/drink combo, especially that it's just plain rice! Fattoush salad and fries are the other two options, are that makes more sense. That being said, their rice is excellent ... very light and tasty. In a nutshell, Tahini's is an interesting fusion experience that offers enough item variations in their menu that everyone will end up finding something they like, and at the same time there's the opportunity to go back and try something different every time. Last but not least, you gotta love it when a restaurant is open until 1:00 and 2:00 AM in OTTAWA !!!
Blueberry flame sharwarma! 🔥 Recommended by a friend, was skeptical about having blueberry in a shawarma but we’ve loved it ever since our first few bites. Their ingredients are always fresh, chicken is juicy, love that their wrap is thin and lightly toasted. We’ve been addicted to the blueberry shawarma that we have to eat it once a week now. 😍 Would highly recommend for anyone to try!
Being a shawarma fan, I can definitely say there shawarma bowls & wraps are amazing. So, filling & juicy. Was served by Kinel & Dhruv amazing customer service. On price side, I would say it is bit expensive compared to other shawarma places in Ottawa. But otherwise taste & presentation is 10/10
Tahini's exceeded my expectations. Lets start with the service, the lady in charge was super friendly with a big smile and she made sure to get all the order details accurately. The mini sandwiches were brilliant and the butter chicken sandwich was very good although it sounds like a strange idea. The shawarma was delicious and the Saj bread was perfect. 100% I ll visit again.

We wanted to try this place tonight as I heard a few good things and the Saj bread had us wanting to try it. Well, there was our first mistake or was my first mistake thinking it was Lebanese food considering they had shawarma . I got the large chicken shawarma and my wife got the regular size. We made them both combos. Here with fries and mine with a fattoush salad. We were excited for the fresh Saj bread but that s where it ended. They cut the chicken off the Shawarma Spit and then threw it on the flattop grill?? What even bother putting it on a spit to cook? They proceed to put on very little toppings and a lot of garlic which I love. It ended up being what I think is mayonnaise as it had zero taste or smell of garlic. You should be able to smell that much garlic from a mile away. They they put it in a panini press but brush it with oil OIL which makes it disgustingly mushy. The entire sandwich was mushy. I ate 1/4 of it and couldn t do it anymore. The sides . The fries tasted good for frozen fries. The 12 pieces of frozen fries that they gave us in a large bag. The fattoush. Oh boy. A salad with ITALIAN dressing and a dash of Sumac. Ha. What is wrong with these people. It s not hard to make a fattoush dressing folks I have a recipe if you d like. It s too bad as we love to try new places but we will 100% not go back to this place to eat and waste $45. It literally went in the garbage.

Got food poisoning from eating their chicken shawarma wrap . chicken looked like it wasn t cooked all the way through and scooped into a chicken shawarma wrap . Definitely NOT an authentic shawarma wrap and there are far better places to go to. Service was rude as well. I m not sure where all the 5 star reviews are coming from but avoid this place unless you understand that this is a normal chicken wrap.

Service: Cashier was friendly. Workers greeted me upon walking through the door. Not much to comment on this part of my experience. Atmosphere: Clean environment. Looks and feels like a place that just opened. Smells a bit heavy though not too pleasant to bear. Not sure if it s burnt/old fryer oil that contributed to that. Food: I ordered the chicken shawn bowl. Salad was fresh but all else was downhill from there. Rice had no flavour at all. Garlic tasted like pure mayo. Turnips looked like they were chemically dyed. Chicken was dry and practically minced (super tiny pieces, almost like ground chicken). Pomegranate molasses tasted extremely artificially flavoured and unbearably sweet. Glad I tried it out but this is sadly not going to be a spot I recommend for shawarma bowls. Maybe other items taste better? Not really feeling like trying them anyways.

We had this for dinner tonight, the place seems nice but the food is pretty meh. It tasted kind of like mall food. The portions are a good size & cost is fair. They were very busy but the food wasnt piping hot, weve had take-out from much further and it was still extremely hot, this was warm. Theres a lot of competing strong flavours - it was fun to try but probably wont be returning, it isnt our style. We love Indian food, shawarma, all the different cuisines, but the way it was combined seems more like a trendy place than top notch fast food.
I went to Tahini on Eagleson road looking forward to trying out this palce due to the good reviews, but unfortunately the chicken shawarma was disappointing. The meat was less and dry and I found the sauce overwhelming. The shawarma was put together without much care. I hope to get served better shawarma next time.

This was the worst shawarma I ve ever had. Honestly, I wouldn t even call it shawarma. They cut raw meat and put it back on the grill, which affected the texture and taste. The portion in the bowl was small and mostly sauce, which seemed to mask the flavor rather than enhance it it felt more like junk food!

I find the place so hit or miss. Multiple times, the chicken is dry or seems re-heated and lacking freshness, like other shawarma spots. I do get this is more fusion oriented; not traditional shawarma. Still though. The gyro was not bad though, but I wouldnt say its something to write home about. Never really had an issue of it being dry or lacking flavor though. The garlic sauce is sound though. I can appreciate a not so heavy garlic sauce and right amount of thickness. Also I find the rice ok, but its been disappointing on many of these visits, due to it either being sticky; rather than fluffy. Overall, the service has never been an issue though. I feel these items should be better worked on when it comes to quality, especially for the price we pay and the smaller portion we get for $14-16. The bowls should be filled up much more too; as it should, to justify the value.

Be careful about the amount you getting charged, I ordered a wrap which was on a deal but they charged me regular price, when pointed out, he was like it was a honest mistake, staff is cunning be safe!!! Also, with barely any rush there, my 1 wrap took them 20 mins to prepare
