The spices were new (to us) and added to our experience Loved the taste and portions. Rice was a little cold when arriving at table so needed to be warmed up with toppings. Naan was amazing, my husband was happy with the level of heat to the spice in the curry, I was with my milder version of lamb. I didn’t realize lamb chunks meant bone in, so would choose something else. Will definitely go back and try more of the menu.
We were excited to try this Pakistani restaurant. The first impression was great as we saw the beautiful dining area and all the wall decors. We ordered four items with some drinks. The Peshawari chicken was the best item, with amazing flavorful curry sauce. Tuesday chicken didn’t appear as soft and tender to me as dark mat should be. The beef sheesh was average, it was dry and hard to chew. The lamb biryani was same, some basic biryani rice mixed with dry cold lamb. We got some naan too, which were really big and thick, but taste wise was fine. The mango mojito didn’t seem to be handmade drink, rather I felt it was a mango flavor soda. The restaurant wasn’t busy, only couple of other groups were in with us. There was only one waitresses attending all the tables. We had a hard time getting hold of her, as most of the she was in the kitchen, or occupied at plating other empty tables. We just started walking over to get our stuff. Despite being not busy at all, the food also took some time to come out of the kitchen. So overall I was disappointed with the quality and service of this place.
I am glad that Karahi point opened a new location in Ottawa! It tastes just as amazing as the GTA branches. I love their kebabs, biryanis & Karahi options! It’s a must try & highly recommend it. I loved their dessert options as well. The Ottawa location is spacious & beautiful interiors as well. The staff was friendly
1st time eating here in Ottawa karahi point location with family The food was ok. Service was very slow and took 20 minutes after asking a few times to have someone to take our order... No one came after food was served to see how our food was or if we need anything like any restaurant does. The namaz prayer area was clean and peaceful. Thank you
This was one of the worst places we have had Pakistani/Indian food. Look at my other reviews. We frequent a ton of restaurants. Firstly, our takeout dishes were 1/3-1/2 full. The butter dish literally had a couple spoon fulls in it. The shahi had a bunch of cream poured ontop of a brown gravy, super poor quality. Service was not friendly when we picked the dishes up, however it was a beautiful restaurant inside. It's a shame this place sucks as we are frequent guests at the holiday inn next door. We will travel for better food though.
This was my third visit to one of their branches, having previously had great experiences at their locations in Toronto and Ajax. Unfortunately, this time was quite disappointing. I was served an undercooked shrimp karahi. When I brought this to their attention, I was told that this is how shrimp karahi is supposed to be prepared, which was surprising. They eventually took my dish back to recook it, but it took an additional 20 minutes. By the time the dish returned, my naan had gone cold, and the entire meal was a disappointment. The overall experience fell far short of my previous visits.
I absolutely loved our experience at Karahi Point in Kanata! We called near closing time to see if they could accommodate a large group, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Instead of only offering takeout like most places, they graciously allowed us to dine in. Our group grew from 12 to 24 people, yet the staff remained patient and hospitable throughout the evening. They gave us excellent menu suggestions, and nothing was off limits. The food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this place for their exceptional service and amazing food. Thank you, Karahi Point, for making our night special!
Decent place to try Pakistani cuisine. The over all spice level is a bit high for the average person. But goes online with authentic dishes. The quality of food was fresh. The taste could be improved. Due to inflation, I understand the food portions. Give it a try if you haven't.

We did takeout and got the chicken karhai, lahori fish and biryani. The karhai was borderline spoilt. The chicken was grey and it tasted rank. Thank goodness we did not get sick. It went straight into the bin. The biryani and lahori fish were a 2 out of 10. Needless to say, we will NEVER eat here again.

Very bad experience, receipt attached. They charge you for the karahi, bread and drink but do not send the bread and drink saying that they dont have it at night! Then why are you offering it on Uber? I paid $50 for half a karahi and the restaurant refused to refund for the missing items so did uber!
We ordered spring rolls, Karahi chicken and biryani. All the food was very good. Service was excellent. Restaurant is not licensed though. We would go back.

Karahi point s Chicken Karahi is my favorite. I have tried it in Mississauga and was more than happy to see this open in Ottawa. Harmandir s service was fabulous and we tried Chicken Peshawari Karahi. Must visit restaurant. We will be visiting it more frequently going forward.

Very disappointed with food. Ordered one chicken and beef kebab with rice and salad. Dish came with a lot of rice and few lettuce on top. Beef kebab had some flavor. Chicken kebab was tasteless. Just had some beef kebab and left the rest Waitress was very polite, checked with kitchen and brought back some cucumber and lettuce. Naan was good and so was the paneer in planner tikka masala. They tikka masala smelled of can tomato, needed to have cooked for some time. Since kebab dish was not eaten they waived it from the bill. That is good customer service. Hope they take this feed back and improve.

Ordered Beef seekh kebab and chicken biryani. The kebab was so thick and bland. No taste whatsoever. The biryani was only rice and bad tasting chicken. There was no masala or spices. It was so bad, I didnt even finish the food. The service was not good too, they brought water but did not bring any glasses. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I recently visited Karahi Point in Ottawa and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious. The fish fry was excellent, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice. But what really made the dining experience stand out was the fantastic service from Mehak. She went above and beyond to ensure that we were well taken care of and made great recommendations. She truly is the best and made our meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Karahi Point for not only their tasty dishes but also for their amazing customer service.

I would give them no stars. Their biryani was lacy and I threw up and had diarrhea within hours. I wouldn t say the food is bad I would say it s dangerous.

Food was good but extremely disappointed with Lamb saak. Only 4 pieces in a bowl & they were bone in lamb, mostly bone. Beef selection is almost non existence. Will not recommend this place if they continue to serve 4 pieces per bowl??
Today, we visited this restaurant and asked for recommendations for dishes that werent too spicy. After our meal arrived, I realized I had tasted one of the most unique dishes of my life! It was a chicken kebab with spices, accompanied by chicken in a creamy white sauce and freshly baked bread. I cant express how much I loved it! For the appetizer, we enjoyed a delicious mixture of yogurt and spices. It was fantastic! We truly appreciated the warm hospitality as well.

First time visiting the restaurant and enjoyed the food. Spice level was good and food was delicious overall. The restaurant is cute and vibe is nice. I only didn t enjoy the mocktails. We got the mint mojitos but everything else was good. The service was friendly and fast. I would recommend this restaurant and visit again.

The best Pakistani food in Ottawa Gatineau. Servers and owners very hospitable. Service from Ambika was very good. Lahore fried fish excellent. Food lacked salt so good for some. Naans were very filling and seekh kebabs outstanding. Green chilis can be requested to zip up food but they were not hot at all. Kulfi and infian tea was pricey but good. Ambiance good. Second visit they served seekh kebabs with tongs that were scorching hot, both friend and I got our fingers seared, servers need to pay attention. Ordered via Uber and food delivery was very fast and items were hot and ready to eat. Nut allergy so far no issues with Daal, kebab and butter chicken. This is leading to almost a 5 star ratinng. Uber order was messed up and Management did not call back to resolve, excellent place for Iftar. Karak chai was mediocre, dont recommend. Poor meal as did not get any condiments with Uber order and butter chicken was too sweet, delivery orders need to be checked...will likely not order again
I honestly really loved the food. The food was served to my table within 10 minutes, and it came out steaming. The atmosphere was perfect, with the music playing in the background. Our servers were very nice and welcoming. I m definitely coming back with the rest of my family .

Authentic restraunt with Authentic food in Ottawa. Especially Lahiri fried fish and Chicken karahi is more preferable. Kebabs were also good. Well spent Monday. Brilliant service by Gurleen, she was very friendly and was making us sure either we like the good or not.

The food is great if you are looking for a Pakistani Restaurants in Ottawa (which is rare to find)! Gurleen was exceptionally polite and went above and beyond to serve us promptly! Her attentiveness made our experience truly delightful! All stars goes to her for her great service!
If I was able to give 0 stars, I wouldn t even go there. This restaurant deserves - number reviews. My brother booked a buffet for 35 people. When my brother and their guests got to the restaurant, there was no buffet there. They served us at the tables and the food served was sufficient for 10 people. Nor me or my brother s guests were full, everyone was still hungry. The bill was $1100 and they took $1800 from us. This restaurant is a scam and I wouldn t ever recommend anyone to use them.

Since the day it s opened, it feels like every time I visited, taste of chicken Karahi deteriorated more.
Had the worst experience ever. We came here to celebrate my sons birthday and also invited guests. The food tasted bland and also had terrible uncooked chicken smell. When we complained the owner simply said that was not the case and refused to listen further.
Terrible Service I went for brunch this weekend, hoping for a nice meal, but once again, I experienced an extreme delay for dine-in. This isn t the first time it seems every weekend they have the same issue. There was literally only one person serving all the in-house customers, and it takes forever to get anything. The service is incredibly slow, and it makes for a really frustrating experience when you re looking forward to a relaxing brunch. Definitely need to improve their staffing and efficiency. Disappointing.
I won t be returning to this restaurant. The food and service are downright terrible. I recently found out that a food inspector issued them a ticket for unhygienic conditions after several customers got sick from eating there. Please be responsible and avoid taking your family to this place
The service is okay (usually order takeout) so cannot comment on dine in experience. The food is hit or miss, sadly my family is disappointed in this location having frequented the Mississauga location for many years before moving to Ottawa. Our recent experience, we ordered $90 worth of curries and naan for a small house party. Unfortunately the lamb karahi was mostly bones with little masala, and the small amount of meat was dry and tough. I sincerely hope the quality can be improved and emphasis is placed on consistency. Few Pakistani restaurants in Ottawa, it s a shame that it s not living up to its reputation in Toronto.

Checked with us to ensure everything was to our liking. It is great that dishes arrive very fresh and warm! It definitely increase the taste we got from different dishes. We enjoyed every dishes we tried but far and foremost the best one was lamb pashewari karahi! Recommended

The service was great, and the food was good overall. However, the tawa keema could have been better; it lacked the smoky flavor that s essential to the dish, which I was assured it would have. As for the lamb brain dish, while I personally prefer beef brain, I found the strong smell unappealing and wouldn t recommend it. Goat biriyani was alright; the rice was dry and meat to rice ratio definitely could ve been higher. On the positive side, the naan, chicken white karahi, and mango lassi were excellent. I do think the prices for the karahi are a bit high, especially since it s a key offering here, and they could be more reasonable. I will come back to try other items, but I may not become a regular customer due to the prices, especially with other competitive options nearby.
The food was not good, the kebab I ordered was raw and also smelled very bad. I was told by the manager that they have been using the same batch all day and have not received any complaints. However, they did remove the charge from the bill. We also ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and it was very sweet. The atmosphere/ambiance was good though.
