In terms of food, I had the Alfredo pasta, which was super good, but the service was atrocious. It took 2 hours before I received my pasta. The service is atrocious, making you wonder if there are really waitresses working. Furthermore, being charged a mandatory 15% tip is ridiculous. First and last time I go there. Im really not impressed. Then the music is really loud, you cant even hear yourself talking.

Normally I do not post reviews, today I am xompelled to do so. . Yesterday 6 of us went there for dinner. What a disappointment! First we were told certain appetizers were unavailable as they had no bread. While the menu clearly indicated that meals came with bread soup salad etc. Next their usual platter of meals was reduced. Meals are usually served with potato wedges too. These were removed and were being served as extras. So minus thr me bread and the soup and potato we had a petite meal yet paid full price. Even the liq was overpriced at 17$ per 6 oz glass of regular wine. Atrocious!! The server kept apologizing. Aside from us there was only one other tsble occupied. Overall, my advice. Go take your business ome place else. Riza the owner was not available either

The rice at this restaurant is fantastic. I got a vegetable kabob dish with Persian rice last time I was there, and it was some of the best rice Ive had in Ottawa. Highly recommend if youre looking for authentic Persian rice.

Ceasar salad is very much expensive, 14.99 without chicken and it didnt even feed one person, please take a moment and lower the price for this , Its unbelievable!!

The meals are delicious, and we enjoy the atmosphere. However, we have arrived at the restaurant several times between 8:10-8:20 pm, only to find it closed, despite the posted closing time of 9 pm on both the website and the restaurant door. I suggest updating the closing time on the website or ensuring the restaurant stays open until 9 pm. This discrepancy causes inconvenience for guests who plan their visit based on the advertised hours.

The chicken kabab was amazing

It is rare I give 5-stars rating. But in this case it is well deserved. What an excellent restaurant. My wife and I have been there several times and, so far, we continue to be pleased. The food is delicious and tasty, as well as plenty (there is always enough to bring back home part of the meal!). The decor is great. In all, I have no problem recommending this restaurant.

Shout out to Isabelle for recommending dough. This is amazing and would definitely order again. Homemade is always the best!

Very disappointing experience. The food portions have gotten so small at this location, they also no longer serve free bread with meal. Will not be coming back! Save your money and go eat at mezbaan restaurant.

Had an amazing experience at Persis Grill. Kirstyn was the friendliest, most attentive server with a smile! The chicken kabob was seasoned perfectly and the portion size was large. The complimentary carrot and ginger soup was delicious too. Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices. Would highly recommend this place!

Persis Grill was an all around 5 star, Kirstyn our server was very kind when I didn t know what to order and suggested the chicken stew. This won t be my last time here, must come back for the chicken stew!!!

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. Having recently moved back to Orleans, we have been sampling a variety of restaurants and we were literally blown away with our respective meals. We ordered a calamari appetizer, and it was the best calamari that we have ever eaten. I ordered salmon as my main dish, and my wife ordered shrimp. The presentation was great and the flavour was amazing! The quality of the meals and service were on par with what you would expect from a high end downtown restaurant - but more affordable. It will definitely be one of our Go to restaurants in the east end!

We hade a bad experience with the server today he did not know how to speak to us we paid our food while the server was not present as we were a bit in a rush and after we went outside we got called by the server outside in front of everyone asking if the food was paid I had to go inside with him to confirm with the other guy inside and after he confirmed that we paid our food he did not even apologize.

The food tasted absolutely fantastic and the service was quick. The portion size is very adequate as well. This definitely takes a spot among the best restaurants in Orléans.

Food was quite good, service acceptable. Place was quite noisey due to a large group of people celebrating something. The ceiling is open industrial with no sound proofing which would have help to make it a quieter place.

I ordered the lambchop here, I was very appalled to find a tooth in the lambchop when I cut it open. I do not know if it belonged to one a the kitchen staff but I will NEVER be coming back here again, if there was the option, I would give it less than one star

We were 6 persons, and that was Our first and last visit to that place!!! It was a very bad experience, from (food, service, cleaning, old bread like stones, dirty dishes, salads smells like i cant tell...etc) not recommended at all, and after all i have paid an expensive bill $$$ for nothing!! Maybe times ago was good, but now it needs to change everything like before with a quality control or all else you cant continue like that guys..!! Its not related to Persian food at all...

Way Smaller portions compared to other Persian restaurants. Prices are at least $7 more than what its normally should be without decent portions. They are Over charging for what you are getting in terms of Persian food standard portions. Poor service. On top of these shortcomings, the minimum tip recommendation is set to 18% which I found hilarious.

The food is great, but it s a little pricey. Also, it takes ages to bring your food. We waited almost one hour till the brought our food.

I purchased beef korma with rice and there were a few problems. 1. It was $32 which is about $12 more expensive than the local competitors. 2. The beef korma was absolutely disgusting, it was not edible at all. It looked stale, old and burnt. 3. I contacted the store and let them know I was not satisfied and wondering what they will do for a resolution. 4. The person who answered simply said sorry, nothing we can do. They didnt offer any resolution and as a result lost a customer. Never buying there again.

This is not real Persian food.

We got the Royale Special I believe it is called (feeds 7-8 people) and it was great! The quantity of food is perfect - comes with 6 ground beef skewers, we got the lamb choice of 3 other skewers, a platter of rice and another platter of salad, chicken stew, 6 grilled tomatoes, and fresh bread. All fresh and delicious! Price is reasonable for the high quality of food, in my opinion. And service is even better - the staff were patient as I asked the questions I had and helped me in making the selections I needed to!

This place has really gone downhill recently. Plates run between 28 and 40 dollars per person, with less than generous portions. The food is delicious and the service is great, but for the price it s just really not worth it. The presentation is lackluster for takeout. The salad feels and tastes just okay for the price. When you re ordering takeout, you don t even get the free complementary soup. Delicious food that is slowly getting worse, and much much more expensive. Expect To spend 60$ per person after tax for just the main course and MAYBE an extra. Parking: Good free parking

The taste of the food is good, Ill give them that. However, the overall quality of the dish, freshness, and value is severely lacking. This was the third time ordering over a span of a year where the bread that comes with the meal is clearly days old, hard, stale and absolutely inedible. The meal for two is almost $70 which is mind-boggling considering how small the meat portion is. For context the dish is 80% rice, 10% meat (if all your meat arrives) and 10% salad. This was the third time something from our order wound up missing. Overall quite disappointing and this seems to be a consistent trend, third strike for us. We wont be ordering from this restaurant any more.

Poor customer service it took us one hour to get our food. You can not compare the quality to Persian restaurants in Toronto.

As a Persian, I can vouch for the exceptional quality and authenticity of their dishes! Whether I order through UberEats or dine in at the restaurant, their torsh kebab, chicken leg kebab, and mahicheh never disappoint!!! As for starters, I always have to have zietoon parvardeh, must mousier, and mirzaghasemi - theyre amazing! Try them if you havent already!!!

A wonderful Persian restaurant. We had a great experience in this restaurant, in terms of atmosphere and environment, quality of the food, deliciousness, service, and reasonable price. In terms of space and environment, I dare to say this is, in my view, by far the best Persian restaurant in Ottawa. I hope it will stay the same particularity for both reasonableness of the price and quality of the food.

We went there yesterday for the first time and enjoyed every aspect of it. I believe it is now my favorite Persian restaurant in Ottawa.

Visited last night for Valentines. Weve been before and were very pleased. The food was good so no issue but the atmosphere and service lacked. The Uber bell was ringing pretty well none stop from the minute we sat down until we left. Uber drivers walking by the table numerous times bumping in to my wifes chair. Another patron sitting with her partner and a DOG. WHAT??Asked for a Coke and got a can with a straw. No glass. Was never asked if we wanted desert. Took a long time to get our bill. Just not a great experience overall. I understand Uber has to do what they do but its annoying hearing the ring from the tablet constantly all evening and the drivers constantly going by you with bags etc. Like I said, the food was good but they could certainly sharpen in the environment and service experience.

This place is absolutely fantastic! The ambience, environment and food were not only delicious for my tastebuds but just as delicious visually. The staff were very nice and attentive to our tables needs eg: water, bread etc. Highly recommend! Kid-friendliness: My 10 year old and 6 year old had a great time and enjoyed the food.

The menu wasnt delivered to us for 45 minutes, and after 65 minutes, the server requested us to alter our dish because the one we had selected had run out. We collected our dishes after 80 minutes. Can you believe it took us 80 minutes to receive our food? Our reservation was at 8 pm and we served at 9:20 pm. The kebab was chilly but the rice was warm. Ive never received such bad service.

I had two experiences with them one dine in and one through Uber eats. For both quality of food was amazing. Authentic Iranian food. Definitely worth going there.

On persian new year day, me and bunch of my friends visited this restaurant, although we had reserved a table it took them about 80 mins to serve us with adjustments on our dishes, the quality of my food was not bad but the customer service was weak.I hope this critical review would have an impact on their customer service on busy nights.

Not nearly as good as before..

Attended Persis Grill for lunch as a party of 10. We were very surprised that we were the only people in the restaurant. The food was excellent however the server was less than attentive. 20 minutes after sitting, we had to motion to the server so we could order a beverage. One member in our party has food allergies and asked the server if they had gluten free and dairy free options and explained why. Our server confirmed that yes they did. After taking our orders the server brought us a wonderful carrot and ginger soup but it had a cream base. Next she brought a salad with a creamed dressing. When the member of our party reminded the server that she was dairy intolerant, the server replaced the salad and brought balsamic dressing then indicated that the soup was made with cream (even though it wasnt creamy). We spent 3 hours and I would say 1 hour was spent waiting. I would go back for the food, not the service. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options Parking: Lots of free parking

We ve ordered 2 Sultani Kebab, kashk bademjun and doogh, everything was perfect specially the Sultani kebab. The waitress was very nice and she paid attention to every detail on our table. And the portion of our dishes was good enough.

Awful service.. unfriendly staff. We were seated and had to wait 15 or 20 minutes before someone came to take the order. Then after an hour we still didnt get the food we ordered. Weve been told 10 minutes, then another 10 minutes. The kids got very hungry and all we got is bread and soup. What really triggered me is that we wanted to pray beside an empty spot, they were very rude telling us , No, you cant do that, we dont want other people to feel uncomfortable!!. I had to pray outside in the cold! Also beware that they claim to sell halal food, but they also sell wine and alcohol, so if youre not okay with that, stay away. As for the food itself, it was okay, but the quantities are less than what youd get elsewhere for the same price. Bad experience overall, wont be going there again.

The interior design is nice comparing to the other Persian cuisines, and what a surprise that they serve liquor, you can t find in any other Persian cuisine in here even the beer! Staff were friendly. we ordered the dish for family and it didn t say that we will have 2 koobideh kabob and half Barg Kabob and hald joojeh Kabob for 2 people!!! Rice and Kabob s taste and quality wasn t such a wow. Salad was just a salad but i liked the souse that came along inside the salad. Parking: Lots of spots

I recently visited Persis at Tenth line road and was blown away by the delicious flavors in Kobideh dish. The chefs truly know how to make their ingredients sing! However, I have to say I was disappointed by the small portion sizes. I felt like I barely got a taste of each dish before it was gone. In fact, the portions were so small that I joked with my wife that we should order everything twice just to feel like we had a real meal! Additionally, while the Mirzaghasemi was flavorful, I couldnt help but notice that it was just a thin film on the plate. I would have loved a heartier serving. Despite the small portions, I would still recommend this restaurant for the fantastic taste experience!

For a Saturday night dinner it was crowded but service was slow. Food was okay but they cut down the portion quite a bit. The quantity of their servings was almost half compared with that of the other Persian restaurants. We ordered Mostomusir as a starter. It barely had any taste. Portion of rice was very little. Kebabs were juicy and properly cooked and yummy but sadly the portions were very small. Hope the management will focus on improving the quality and portions along with better service. We would like to continue going to this restaurant but tonights experience was a disappointment.

Ordered over $500 of food on a night out only to find out they charged us an extra $10 for bread to accompany the multiple appetizers we ordered that were already supposed to come with bread. Gave the restaurant a chance to make it right but the Manager did not seem to care. Terrible customer service and outrageous penny-pinching, will not be returning.

Visited Mothers Day 2023. Were the first people in the restaurant at 1130(group of 4). Ordered our food. Took 1 hour for our food to arrive while they were filling take out orders ahead of us. Only vegetarian option was an expensive $23 veggie plate that was lukewarm and totally not worth the money. Vegetarian options: There is 1, the plate in the picture. It was not good.

I have gone to this restaurant since they opened and it was amazing at first however last time i was there about a week we order our usual and the food portion was ridiculous SMALLER child size plate and the price is ridiculous expensive for what they serve.. all other persian restaurants are serving generous amount of food for cheaper price and better quality and tasty food. Food was good and came out quickly. Took very long for servers to take our order, and also to get us the bill once food was done. Dips came with no bread, had to ask for it and was told that they normally dont come with any. Unsure how the dips were meant to be consumed without bread or any accompaniment.

Amazing Kobideh kebab

Such a beautiful nice quiet atmosphere, with wonderful grilled shrimp, so good three of us ordered it. The fourth order was perfectly grilled salmon and, as with every meal we ordered, it came with a soup, salad, and rice. Nice to enjoy a meal with background music low enough to hear eachother. Previous visits gave us a flavour packed boneless chicken leg and also amazing beef tenderloin with peppers and onions, but I always return to their perfectly grilled shrimp. The service is always bang on and friendly. Lunch or supper, our meals have always been consistent and you can order a side order of their grilled shrimp, should you be tempted by another entree. Great place for a business meeting, or a family gathering. with their quiet atmosphere and ability to put several tables together. Vegetarian options: Have not tried it but there is a vegetarian dish is on their menu. Parking: Facing a large parking lot (free) surrounded by numerous businesses, a grocery store, and a few restaurants.

This was very disappointing. We ordered 2 Torsh Kabab plates for lunch. Seeing the reviews and the cost, I assumed it was going to be epic....it was not :( Meat was tender but BLAND. Nothing that was on the meat. Claimed to have been marinated in pomegranate paste topped with crushed walnuts. But the emat was bland and plain. The rice was just rice. A huge plate of bland rice. This was our fourth meal at Persis, and once again it was an absolutely superb dining experience by every metric. A wonderful meal, perfect service, and amazing atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Visiting this place for the first time, we were very impressed

The service was excellent. The food was good, the beef was well marinated and tender, but the plate could be better. My plate consisted of what I thought would be cubes of beef but instead it was a flat thin piece. No way I could get medium rare cooking with this. Also too much rice and only a grilled tomato as a vegetable. Order the upgrades.

I spent nearly $200 at this restaurant and could hardly feed 4 people. Although there was A LOT of rice the kabobs were very small. There was not a lot of meat but the quality was great.

Such an expensIve restaurant but the food was so bland and the portions was so small. The restaurant decor was quite nice though. Theres so much better Persian restaurants in Ottawa than this place - do not come here. This place is a total ripoff.

I ordered for takeout and the salad had a metal pin in it. I reached out to them couple of times to address the issue, everytime I got an answer that manager will call me back, almost 15 days now, no call recieved. We were their regular customers, I guess they don t care.

When 3 in our party ordered Caesars, they brought them in martini glasses. We were, to say the least, shocked. He went to the kitchen and came back with, Most of our customers take Take-out, so we don t stock enough glasses for these types of drinks What??!! I was a little embarrassed as we were treating my dad and his friend to dinner. The food was very good, thank God (& the chef). There was a lot of it, and our daughter took home the leftovers. We were alone in the restaurant, so the staff proceeded to clean while we were finishing our meals, which was a little distracting. Worse, they broke three glasses while doing so. Any hopes of ordering a Caesar there next time is lost..!!

The food was so delicious! The only thing I would mention is that the price range is a bit steep, but considering inflation it makes sense a bit. One kebab dish does not seem equivalent to $32; however, the lamb stew I ordered was well worth the money. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the waitress was very kind. She even offered us complimentary mushroom soup, which was fantastic! Definitely recommend if you are in the area and are tired of regular pub food.

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times, I went here recently and the menu changed, the prices went up. The taste remains the same, but now its a bit expensive. It is halal, and they serve alcohol as well. I would definitely go for the taste and tender meat.

Food Quality and Portion has gone down the drain

Delicious food, generous portions, excellent service! The staff even brought out some very tasty extras (carrot soup and bread). The outdoor seating option was very much appreciated and the patio was nice. We will return. Parking: Free parking

Everything was cooked, seasoned, prepared to perfection. Although it is expensive for what you get being the portion sizes are smaller. One person costs upwards of $45.

Food was delicious and service was very good. The restaurant was clean and nice ambiance. Food portions are a bit smaller in comparison to some other Persian restaurants and it is towards the pricey side but the quality of the food was really good. They service soup and bread at the beginning that we loved too. Will come back for sure.

I went to Ottawa for a trip and came to this restaurant with my friends. We had Koobideh, chicken and Ghormeh sabzi. I can honestly say that I had never experienced a great authenticthe food and decor at the other Iranian restaurants in Toronto and Ottawa. Thanks to all the staff and restaurant management for providing great service and food.

The portions are very small not like it used to be. The presentation is bad and the taste is different. No sauce comes with their food it is hard to swallow. .

Paid $160 for a Family special. Portions got smaller. Salad essentially composed of lettuce (could count on one hand the amount of cucumbers and tomatoes....small amount of salad dressing barely enough for whole salad). For that price, expecting much more...oh well, wont be seeing me in the future (tons of other options here in Orleans,).

if you wanna have an amazing experience with Persian food thats the right place for you. the quality of meat was excellent, rice was very good.

Food arrived cold with missing item and the bread was not fresh. Small portions. Definitely not worth the price. I used to love this place but this will be the last time Im ordering from them.

Great food ,great service

Dined in here tonight with family and friends and really enjoyed the food. They have a nice decoration and the restaurant has very cozy vibe which is very welcoming and warm. Our server was also so nice and accommodating. Food was so fresh, kebabs were delicious with authentic Persian taste. In overall, great place to try Persian kebabs and hang out with family and friend. I just wish they were in Ottawa ;)
