Where to start. This family restaurant serves more than just delicious pizza, salads, subs, pasta and greek platters, but they serve you a lasting experience and the owners make you each and everyone feel like they are part of the family too. 52 years running and for good reason!! Cumberland Pizza is a fan-favorite amongst my family and friends, especially when we want a drink and a bite to eat after watching a movie at the neighbouring Bytowne cinema. Make sure to check out their outdoor patio while the warm weather is still with us. Thank you owners, Fadi and Farida, for the love you put into your food and the lasting memories you have helped create amongst your customers.

I dont know if Chef Boyardee stole their sauce and pasta recipe, but I was just delivered something very similar to Chef B Ravioli... I m not sure what to believe here.

This has been a go to restaurant I would go to after work, or during my lunch break, to enjoy good pizza in a quiet part of the city. The first thing youll notice is how peaceful it is. The owner is a incredible friend of mine, who I always enjoy chatting with. He makes excellent pizza, so if your ever tempted to go to the pizza pizza nearby, jsut take a couple of minutes to go here instead and enjoy the REAL pizza. Since the restaurant is facingthe neighborhood, you never seen the cars driving by in the city. It makes for a very enjoyable time, where you get to sit down, eat a pizza, and relax. Also if I havent mentioned it yet, the pizzas are great. They do have other items, but pizza and chicken wings are the only thing that exist for me at this place. I always look forward to eating here.

This is by far one of the best pizzas I have ever had! The dough is homemade and quality of the toppings were superb! The restaurant was spotless and Fadi the owner was wonderful! Looked for a quick pizza while visiting and was not disappointed! Ordered a personal small canadian pizza and large greek salad online for pick up. It was ready on time, the food was a good size for the price and the quality of the food was great! Both staff were really friendly and polite, and the place was very clean and tidy. Its a great little community pizza spot not aiming for tourists but won this one over! Parking: There is free street parking from what I could tell, and a paid public parking garage across the street.

The nicest people, they spoil you. I have to post just for that. Quiet, pleasant, cheerful atmosphere. One feels welcome and cared for. Have only had the dolmades so far, but they were very good, served with tzatziki dip. Everyone who came seemed very happy with the pizza. My daughter says the poutine is the best shes had. Will post again when I have tried their pizza for myself. They have gluten free pizza, medium only.

My wife and I were searching for a new pizza place in Ottawa and I came across Cumberland Pizza. Its rated in the top 3 on every list I found. They let us order from our car while were on the way. It is locally owned. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. The pizza was amazing. Overall I would give this place a 9.5/10. Only downfall is finding parking. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone who loves pizza. Great food, great vibes.

Cumberland Pizza is our family s go-to local, family owned restaurant. They have a great variety of tasty cuisine which makes it a great place to go when you aren t sure what you feel like eating. I was thrilled to learn that Cumberland pizza has reopened today after being closed for almost a year. My visit back was amazing. The service was prompt and friendly, as usual. It was also nice to see that they had made some great improvements to the restaurants decor and atmosphere. Its so good to have Fadi and Farida back and serving up their delicious food once again. Best pizza in Ottawa and its not even close

All week, Ive had people excitedly say did you know Cumberland Pizza is open again? and I finally had an opportunity to visit. I was immediately blown away by the service and sense of community when I walked in, then again by how fresh and tasty the ingredients were. It also doesnt hurt that they have a bunch of extra spices and toppings at the tables! Ill definitely be coming back!

Moved to Ottawa just before Christmas. Have been looking for good pizza in the neighborhood ever since with no luck. Cumberland pizza opened a couple weeks ago and the search is over. The pizza is really good.

Very delicious pizza. Individual approach to making pizza. I needed to make a less calorie-dense pizza. And the cook herself suggested a way to reduce calories for me. The pizza at this place is made on thin and thick dough. Great selection of pizza. And its a cozy place. I will come back for sure :)

the owner was really great, very welcoming, there was good service, the weather waited very well, dining room coussy way, (but the pizza) I had not eaten such a perfect pizza for a long time, the crust just crispy wish, in short my son who is 2 and a half years old I love it!

There are too many pizza joints out there but Cumberland pizza stand above all, cleanliness, quality, taste and service. Try it to believe it.

This is such a great gem in ottawa. The two owners are so drown to earth and lovely people. They make everything from scratch here. I came wanting a calzone since google said it was one the menu. Fantastic old school pizzeria with great service. I ordered the thick crust on a whim and I have to say, Im thrilled I did. The generous cheese topping the pizza made it worth trying the thick crust. I cant wait to go back and try the thin crust!

The thing is way overpriced. 46$ for a medium quality pizza is unbearable. The ad is wrong, misleading; the hype is not desserved. It should be 20% cheaper than what it is. The pricing is hidden as long as possible, this is not straightforward, as if they attempt to scam the customer. The chit chat is distracting, but facts are this is way too expensive. Ill never go there again and i advise anybody daring, to clarify the true full cost before accepting or ordering anything. Very unsatisfied. -Carolyn

Probably the best pizza you can get in Sandy Hill. The family who run the place are very nice and friendly, and the service is absolutely in line with that - usually I buy XL Meat Lovers when I get pizza for me and my friends, and theyve offered napkins and paper plates every time. I discovered them early in the summer, and theyve been my go-to place ever since. So if you want to support family businesses in an ever-gentrifying Sandy Hill, or just want to enjoy some of the best pizza Id ever had, Id recommend Cumberland Pizza highly.

The first time I went I ordered a pizza, but we loved the treatment and friendliness of this place, we came back, Mrs. Farina is really a Love, and the man who accompanies her too, my children were happy to eat here, sometimes Quality costs but it seems to me that what you pay for what you receive is fair, you can see the love with which they work to provide excellent service and quality to the client. Cumberland Pizza is Ottawas best pizza. They deliver reliably to your home and also have a small restaurant with patio. Cumberland Pizza uses better quality ingredients than most pizza places and you can really taste the difference. My personal favorite is the cheese pizza with thin crust. (cheese pizza (or pizza Margherita) will always tell you about the quality of the pizza as there are no distracting toppings. Absolutely worth trying! Vegetarian options: My personal favorite is the extra large cheese pizza with a thin crust. Best pizza in Ottawa!

I have been living in this neighborhood since I was an Ottawa U student in 1997. Cumberland Pizza has been a staple of our neighborhood and everybody living here knows this wonderful family that owns this business as wonderful, kind, honest hard working people who deserve nothing but success in their business. The business has gone through many ups and downs from COVID closures to a recent fire that nearly destroyed them but the beauty of these tragedies is that they kept bouncing back and coming back better and better. I recently returned to Ottawa for only a few days and my elderly mother who also lives in the neighborhood was hungry. Because of her medical condition and special diet needs I was looking for a healthy protein rich meal to satisfy and nourish her. The lovely lady who served me made some recommendations and I ended up ordering the Greek meal for her that included rice, potatoes and salad. I also threw in a medium veggie Pizza and Spanapinoka. My mother LOVED the food. She told me she felt like she came alive after eating it and it did not upset her stomach either. My mother is a picky senior citizen and rarely likes any foods. The portions were generous so she was able to eat half of it the next day for lunch. The veggie pizza was delicious. Fresh, home made tasting. The dough was thick and wonderful. The Spanapinokas were also incredibly delicious. We both had 2 each but I could of eaten 10 of them! The food here is fabulous and although I am not in Ottawa I will definitely order this as delivery for my mom next time she is hungry. Thank you Cumberland Pizza. Amazing pizza

My first time trying the Cumberland Pizza restaurant today. The owners/staff were very friendly and accommodating. I tried the Steak Pizza. The pizza was obviously homemade and absolutely delicious. The size is not large in diameter but the heft of each slice is impressive. Tons of toppings with good flavour. Great value for the money. Highly recommend

Awesome place. Walked in to the smell of fresh pizza being made. Clean dining area. Ordered an extra large Combination Pizza and it only took about 20 minutes. I recently had take out from Cumberland Pizza and was pleasantly surprised by their gluten-free pizza. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. A great place to sit down and have some delicious Greek food. I tried their poutine, and it was too good. The salt and pepper was a must on top, but it was a perfect blend of potatoes, cheese and sauce. The staff is really helpful as well and will definitely go back to try a pizza next time.

I was pleasantly surprised with this Place. Had the zucchini sticks soooo good and the salad too. Pizza tasted fresh, not greasy. Yummmyy! Will go again! I agree with the other comment that this place is a hidden gem!

Don t know what perfect pizza is but it was pretty damn good. Ordered a Canadian with extra pepperoni and wow it was loaded with toppings and cheese, got asked if we wanted oregano or garlic on top and we chose for garlic, it didn t disappoint at all! A wonderful small shop. DEFINITELY A MUST TRY!

Eating this as we speak. Delicious. We got the large combination (I wanted the Lebanese but my wife strong armed me) and man so good. I was surprised how heavy it was when the lovely lady (husband and wife duo) passed it over. I ran back to the hotel and was pleasantly surprised just how much they pack into the za. Its a small family owned and operated pizza joint close to DT Ottawa, they have unbelievably fresh pizza. They will welcome you with a smile, and make you feel like a part of their big Greek family, everyone is very kind and nice. Best pizza Ive had in a long time!

Cumberlands is right in the heart of Ottawa, just off Rideau Street and if you blink youll miss it but if you dont, prepare to be surprised. This Greek family owned restaurant treated us like one of their own. And ended up making the best pizza Ive ever had in my life. First picture is BBQ Chicken, Second is the Meat lovers. Great prices, great food and an amazing atmosphere. Ill definitely recommend this joint to anybody who wants a good pizza, or is craving Greek!

The most under-rated pizza joint in Ottawa. I could live off of the food at Cumberland Pizza. Also run by a couple of gems that go out of their way to make sure their customers are satisfied. Ask them for the off menu classic of a gravy pizza. Your diet wont thank you, but your taste buds will!

Great Pizza.

I was hesitant to write this review as I have only been here once and my best guess is I just went on an off day. I had heard from a friend it was the best pizza in Ottawa, and the reviews reflect exactly that. Sadly my experience was vastly different. The staff were friendly, the service was quick, but the pizza was really underwhelming. The pizza I received was unlike any of the pictures posted, its like I bought a pizza from a different place than everyone else...but I assure you I didnt. The pizza looked like the oven wasnt fully up to temp, the crust had a dense crumb and lacked flavor. There was barely any sauce on it, and the pepperoni was standard. The edge of the crust was hard and dry like a breadstick, almost as though the pizza was premade and had been sitting around before it was baked. It tasted really similar to a pizza you would buy in a grocery store and bake at home. I would have put it on par with Pizza Pizza or another discount product. The pictures attached were the leftover slice I took with me after sitting in my truck for an hour. So its not a perfectly accurate representation, but as you can see it looks nothing like the other pictures of pizza posted. Id like to give this place a second try in hopes it was just an anomaly.

Perfect place to eat. Their taste is perfect and also the owner is a very kind person. I love all of their food but mostly, I love Cumberland special as pizza and also my girlfriend loves the gyro sandwich. Just try it once and you will love it and you will go always. You have my word.

These days, it s rare that to find a small, family-run, unpretentious, clean restaurant, where the people are as real and authentic as the food they serve. THAT is Cumberland Pizza. From the minute I entered, the staff was polite, friendly, unpretentious and appreciative of my visit and business. They even called a client by his first name, an obvious sign of appreciation and frequent visits. Service was quick (under-promise, over-deliver), the pizza was delicious, the price was reasonable. The dinning room is small, clean and pleasant to dine in. As I was finishing my meal, three family members sat at the table next to me and shared a meal. I like that. Summary: unpretentious, good food, friendly, affordable, family-run restaurant. Go there.
