KS on the Keys Restaurant in Ottawa

Ive been going to KS for over 50 years. Amazing pizza. Stretchy cheese. Delicious crust. Great service. Packed at lunch time. Left very happy and satisfied. Highly recommend!

Service was polite but very slow and required prompt to get the bills. I also found hair in my calamari. Portion sizes are quite large which was nice, but overall I wouldnt go back.

Great Sunday Buffet, great service ruined by smokers congregating right at the door and smoke streaming in. Repeated requests to management to move them went unheeded.

Had a group of 12 on a Friday night. Excellent service and not one person disappointed with the food. The most amazing part is that we had all our meals within 15-20 minutes! Well done. We will be back

We had an event space last night at the KS. What a wonderful server we had (I only wish I remembered his name). He smiled and was kind and so patient! We had about 20 ish people and he never had one bit of problems. I certainly would recommend this space and to work with such lovely people! Wheelchair accessibility: We were upstairs and there was an elevator!

Staff were friendly. Pad thai was not good. Probably best not to order anything that is not pizza/pub type food. However, I know some people who dont like their pizza. There is a huge selection, so there may be something there that you will love. Its certainly been around for a long time, so obviously there are a lot of people that like the food.

The food was amazing, the swrvice was amazing, and the atmosphere was amazing. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

KS has awesome pizza and zucchini sticks! The dip for the zucchini sticks is delicious Service is good, they are very tentative. Atmosphere inside is great, spacious comfortable seating and nicely decorated.

Service was fine, but slow, requested a lime for my drink got a lemon etc. Food was poor, went with a party of 10 for a work event only one person finished their meal. Steaks very much over cooked. Seasoning weak. The calamari was good. Would not go again

We d heard about KS from the Ottawa Citizen article about 3 months ago providing rankings for some 10 pizza restaurants. We took our grandson out for pizza as he s an aficionado and I knew he would give us an honest opinion. Amongst the 3 of us all came to the conclusion that this is by far the best pizza in the Ottawa area. The prices are reasonable, their wine list and craft beer selections are better than most pizza places. They still use real brick mozzarella and not giving in to a cheaper brand of cheese like some of the pizzerias are using nowadays. We used to be quite fond of the Colonnade, but KS pizza is now our go to pizzeria. The service was superb, and our server went over and above the standard for service. We highly recommend this restaurant for the best pizza in the Ottawa area.

Always make us feel like family, and we feel like family. I recommend this place to everyone.

They have to be kidding! Drove way out of way to get there on Sunday. Website says they are open on Sundays but they were not. Can they not update their website if they are indeed closed. Im not sure if they are still in business. Very disappointing!

Hello I just wanted to say that this by far was my best visit. My only complaint is I wasnt as used about the 18% auto tip. And I was never explained that this was going to happen. Now, the service was good and Bobby even came out to see us as we all grew up together. Our server was great but at times we had to wait for an extended amount of time to get drinks and one server even took our salt and pepper from our table. The dollar store is right there if you have to get more please do but dont charge me 18% on top of this experience. Bobby your bruschetta and pizza were the best Ive had since coming home from Italy.

I ordered a drink, it was moscow Mule, and I found a bug in my drink. I was disgusted. Also, I ordered a meal, and the salmon has lack of flavors. There is not enough seasoning. The waiter was kind she made me another drink.

KS on the Keys Restaurant is a great spot to have a meal. Two people at our table ordered off the menu while two others went with the buffet. Great food and wonderful service! I understand they have a breakfast buffet as well. Thanks KS on the Keys!

I don t know how this place is still in business! We decided to try out the Sunday dinner buffet as it offered a lot of variety however everything was cold or just warm. I would rate the food as cafeteria quality. Just not good at all and for the price per person, I was expecting much better. Won t be going back!!!!!

The Sunday buffet was disgusting. The food was cold and stale and the restaurant was barely half full. I had to tell them to turn the heating on for the food, the service was slow you had to ask them three times for anything, and they force 18% gratuities from every person for a buffet? We all got up and served ourselves so everyone paid 18% to get water poured every 25 minutes. I do not recommend. The cost for this gross buffet is 35$ plus taxes plus 18% gratuity. To eat cold meatballs, fried rice, egg rolls, pasta, chicken, fries, and whatever else they had laying around probably causing sickness. The buffet should be free for the house less folks in the community and it SHOULD BE HOT. This place is disrespectful! The bathroom was also disgusting.

The week leading up to our dinner date, I dreamt about the KS Pizza. OMG! Memories of going to the original KS restaurant came flooding back!! Your dad would be so proud of you! That first bite of the KS Combination was a taste of home! Thank you!

Our waiter Zachary was excellent! He was friendly, efficient and proactive. As usual the food was very good especially the KS pizza. Atmosphere was pleasant. My only complaint was the restaurant temperature was a little too cool with the AC being on despite it being a relatively cool day outside.

Everything was great from the fresh food (large assorted Italian buffet) to the wonderful service. Really appreciate how easily we were accommodated with such a large group - even with last minute changes. Will definitely host another event there again.

Sunday Brunch buffet is pretty horrific and I would highly recommend that you avoid. Here are the shortcomings: 1) Much of the food is cold. For example, fridge cold English muffins for the Eggs Benedict 2) Many buffet items are always empty. If your not there to grab it immediately when they refill, it will be gone right away 3) The buffet is laid out in the middle of the main corridor, absolute mayhem trying to walk through 4) The food quality itself is very poor. Ive had better brunch and breakast at low end hotels than here. Very disappointed!

Excellent service. I celebrated my wedding in this restaurant and the staff was incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant for important events. And the food is very good.

Terrible experience tonight. I went there for dinner at 630pm. By 8pm, there was a wedding reception on the upper level playing loud music and yelling. The staff should have let the customers known prior to ordering. Never will go back.

They went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary restrictions!

Went with my husband and two friends for the Sunday brunch and left feeling hungry and $100 broker for sub par Luke warm food and at a price of $39.99 per person! (Online said $32.95) The bacon is low quality and super salty, the breakfast potatoes were not fresh or hot and bland. The mushroom masala, vegetable spring rolls and the vegetable fried rice were all not good, I wouldnt be surprised if many guests are one offs who got roped in by the menu and Instagram pictures. The pricing definitely doesnt not reflect the food quality or service and I highly recommend saving your money on their brunch. Will never return.

I went there with my girlfriend for the Sunday buffet, I highly don t recommend the brunch Buffett maybe order something of the menu because the brunch buffet felt like the food was cold and old and also not much of Buffett. The choices were limited, I didn t enjoy my experience at all

Great experience here tonight! They accommodated a late booking for our team for a pizza night after our game with same day notice. We pre ordered pizza and everything was ready minutes after we got there. Service was quick and well organized. Pizza was excellent, drinks were cold and they help us with splitting our bills which was extremely helpful. Space that they gave us was perfect and allowed the team to spread out a bit while parents visited. Really appreciate the great service and food! Thanks to the staff and management! I went this evening for Iftar dinner, it was buffet style served to your table. For a $50 buffet it should have been better. Kafta was unreadable, chicken was not flavourful and very dry, the fruits seemed like they were cut with a dirty knife, I could taste onions on the fruit. The most disturbing thing of all is that we were told we can t bring back the leftover that they serve it for tomorrow s buffet. The waitress said this twice then the manager interfered and said they don t probably because he s aware that s illegal however we still couldn t bring the leftovers because they leave it for the kitchen staff. I believe the waitress which had totally ruined my experience, cut my appetite and grossed me out and the manager fixing the situation by still telling us we can t bring back the meat, that it s for the kitchen staff is beyond unprofessional. I don t see how the staff is to eat our food that we paid for. Definitely will never go again. I ve lost 100% trust in this restaurant and even if I didn t the fact that I m told I can t bring back the food I paid for. It s Iftar, you get full fast. I barely ate and couldn t bring back food. Not impressed whatsoever

My family and me attended the Easter Brunch last Sunday, the food was good but the service was horrible.despite my reservation they sat us upstairs at a plastic foldable table way down in the corner the waitress had to wait 10 min. To get utensils as they didnt expect us to be there ? she kept having to come up to give us drinks (about 8 times) since she kept serving our drinks in shooter glasses. We asked her to leave a water pitcher on the table since she looked quite annoyed of all those up and down the stairs and huffing and puffing each time but she never returned with the water. I went downstairs to ask for the note wich she brought to us nearly 35 min. Later. Loke mentioned above food was good but will not return due to poor service

Super nice staff. Best Calamari weve had in awhile. Large portions. Great chicken Parm(juicy). Just wish they had fresh ground Parmigiano.... Highly recommend for diverse menu for all palettes.

We went to KS last night. I always get the pizza. It s fantastic. My wife decided to order the pasta primavera. Didn t taste good at all. She could barely eat it. My daughter ordered the burger off the kids meal. I should have taken a bite first. I would never have eaten it as it didn t even look like hamburger and the colour really threw me off. She toughed it out cuz she was starving but later complained it was really dry. After talking to the waitress a manager came over and was kind enough to discount the bill which enticed us to stay for dessert. I ll definitely go back for the pizza, as the staff are really friendly and the service is good.

The food is awful! Absolutely awful. They need better ingredients, or better cooks, or lower prices. The service was pretty great though. The atmosphere was very generic. It wasnt bad, but there was nothing special about it. We wont be back. Sorry to the good servers!

This review is specifically for the Sunday Brunch Buffet. Nice event venue. Buffet food is extremely mediocre and not worth the money. Not bad food but not worth the hype.

Food good but not exceptional; a bit pricey for a light lunch, nice comfortable cubicles for privacy, never had to wait to be seated, quality service from Maya. Its usually appallingly noisy for anyone who wants to converse.

Been a few times. Used to be a small place at bank and Albion back in the day. Good, or great pizza . Took my kids. Nice staff, plenty of parking, large tables for you and guests in most cases. Good service and food. Fairly quick from ordering to obtaining your order and they were patient with my kids. Recommended for sure Parking: N/A Kid-friendliness: Kid menu. Good value. Drink, dinner and dessert $11.oo I believe. Choice of grilled cheese, chicken fingers and side and kids burger. A pasta option too I think .

This was our first visit and we will be back. We went for Sunday brunch. The food and service was definitely worth what we paid. Lots of selection considering it isn t a buffet restaurant. Nothing was ever empty. Table service was super friendly and efficient. Our 6 year old found lots of things to enjoy! Drinks are included in the price, you don t see that often. We decided to make it a monthly treat. Made us curious to try their regular menu too, see what it s like on a weeknight. Pretty sure the food will be even better with great service.

Was there last night 3 of us took PIZZA it was the worst Pizza ever, please do not recommended this place, we even had a couple who its there favorite place, she and my husband had salmon, they said it taste like frozen Highlander fish in a box.

My family and I went into the restaurant after hearing about their brunch buffet. Sadly I wasnt as impressed as I thought I would be. Having previously visited KS over the years. The food was not very hot and wasnt really warm either due to the little tiny heater flames underneath. But I think the worst part is the man standing by the food. He literally just stands there and stares at people. Why is that? If it is due to security then maybe get him a montior to the already installed cameras. Many people were muttering that as I made my rounds and grab a plate. Very odd. The other complaint is we could never figure out who our server was we were barely looked after. I would return to KS but not for the brunch.

Excellent food, the service was great and the atmosphere relaxing. Prices were reasonable. Lots of free parking. I highly suggest the KS (hey that rhymes). Also right across the street from the Movie Theatres at Huntclub & Bridlepath.

I was not very impressed with my dish

I hadnt been to KS for years and went last night. The experience was amazing. The service was fantastic, the food came up quickly and was delicious and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. Most impressive was the portions were large which makes it worth it to go out for dinner!

On Sunday, I went with a couple friends to KS on the Keys for their new brunch buffet which started in April. As always, I checked the menu first, and was surprised by the amount of variety. After the negative experience at Tuckers, I was hoping for something good, and it did not disappoint. The few things I did not like are merely based on preference and not the quality of the food. First, the variety was fantastic. There was were breakfast items, as well as Middle Eastern, Italian, and Chinese foods. I did my best to try a little bit of everything, but at some point you have to give up. I posted a photo of the menu below so you can see what I was up against. Here are the few things I did not like, and even saying that sounds harsh. When I put together my salad, the tomatoes pieces we a tad too large, but my knife took care of that. They had miniature Lebanese meat pies, but they were cold, and I loves me a nice warm meat pie. The scrambled eggs seemed like the powdered ones, but that isnt surprising when youre making a large amount. It was the only food I had to salt. The eggs in the Bennies were runny, which is the standard. I prefer mine hard poached (dont judge). Like I said, the bad things were by no means offensive. Just not my preference. Here are the great things. We went for 11:30, and were seated quickly. The place is nicely decorated and clean, and the staff are friendly. There was ample food, and it was all very well-seasoned. Everything I tried was delicious. The staff are very attentive. I saw one of the owners (I think) who kept an eye on the buffet to make sure things were running smoothly. He made sure the lamps under the chafing dishes were always going and keeping the food warm. He also changed the serving spoons regularly and made sure the resting plates were clean. The dessert section was not extensive, but the fruit was perfectly sweet and juicy. They also had some muffins and brownies to enjoy. And I cant forget to mention the drinks. Unlimited tea, coffee, pop, and juice is included in the price! When it was all over, not only were my friends and I extremely satisfied, but we all suffered greatly for our gluttony. My only regret is that I did not try every single item. Guess Ill just have to make another trip so that I can say Ive tried it all! Tuckers has certainly met its match. KS on the Keys gets five stars from this gal!

Wow! KS on the Keys is a great spot for a family dinner, date or event. I attended an event in the back. The space is quiet and private with nice windows. We had dinner. I tried the salmon and pasta. Both were flavorful and fresh!!! I had a pint of the house beer. It was very refreshing!

Called 4 times to order pizza for take out. No one answered. We had to go in person to order and then wait 40 minutes. An old customer of Kelly would not have been impressed

The food was delicious and beautiful. The service was really good. Can be easily as a gathering or a small party area. You can reserve it for a shower party it a small engagement or wedding.

We had been loyal customers of KS for a very long time. So, we decided to have an important reception hosted there. This is a decision we deeply regret to this day. We had tried for weeks to follow up by email, phone. But, nobody ever got back to us. We expected much better from KS. If Management is willing to finally follow up with us, we still want to provide feedback so that others can have a better experience than we did.

Went for Sunday brunch recently. Im sure most of the food is good, but it was difficult to tell because everything was lukewarm (with the exception of one pasta dish). With a relatively large selection of dishes, they may want to invest in a steam table. That said, we did appreciate the variety of items (breakfast, lunch and dessert). The less than stellar rating for the service is because we asked 3 staff for a coffee refill and they all forgot. There were a couple of larger tables that seemed to get all of their attention. As a former server, I get that they need to cater to the large tables, but not at the expense of other customers. We were a small group sitting across from another small group and we were both ignored as 2 servers and a hostess(?) walked right by us numerous times to attend to the larger tables. Sometimes they were even carrying a coffee pot but couldnt/wouldnt take the ten steps to walk over to us. At over $30 each for brunch, this is unacceptable. If you dont want to serve coffee during brunch, get some carafes and place them on the tables. Overall experience was just ok .

It was great Lebanese buffet

We went for the bruch, it was... good but nothing more - And expensive: $30 per person, I expected better and more tasty. I saw an old man mixing the old leftover pieces of chicken that had been in the buffet for a while with the newly cooked ones. Come on! Its the best way to give your customers gastro! However I want to highlight the excellent service of our waitress (Vicky - I think) We went for brunch and it was... good but nothing more for $30/pp, I was expecting more, and more tasty. I saw a man mixing the leftover pieces of chicken that had been in the buffet for a while with a batch of newly cooked waves. Come on! Its the best way to give your customers a gastro! However, thank Vicky for your excellent service.

It started when we were around the corner from KS. I checked the internet and it showed they were open until 10pm. My son checked the internet and it showed KS was open until 8pm. (This should have been where we changed our minds. But. we were both really hungry and it it was 7:40pm. When we walked in the door, there was a man on the phone at guest greeting station. He ignored us. The server came up to us and told us to sit anywhere. Asked about drinks, started us with water. I went and asked her if she could make a long island iced tea. At this point, she should have asked if I wanted diet pepsi or regular pepsi. This was my sons first long island ice tea. Most likely his last. She put diet Pepsi in the drink which changed the taste of the drink, so, he struggled with it and eventually had half of it. That was $14 plus. I wanted appetizers and a salad. The only salad I liked, came in large size only, where as , the other salads had half size as well. The chicken Thai pieces had 16 and there should have been a warning to share for 2 or more people. It was delicious, but, i also had 3 pieces of garlic bread. there was too much food for me to enjoy it at the resteraunt. My son had steak and potatoe. The steak was great. The potatoe had lots of salt and a hint of flavour. Not the best. Considering how much we spent, I think this place deserves 1 star. I gave a 20% tip, but I didnt know they icluding the HST. The server should be tipped on the food only.

We celebrated an anniversary, we were a big crowd. Food and service were excellent.

Pad Tai was undesirable. No beans sprouts no Egg. Many Noodles enough for 2 people per serving but lacking ingredients was not good. Chicken pieces were tender and numerous. However when paying the bill the waitress just asked at the end of meal how was your Pad Tai. We were honest and kind but her answer was sometimes it happens that way. The absolute best gluten free pizza

Went for the breakfast buffet. Save your money! The quality of food is horrible. The cheapest food you can eat. You can taste the lack of nutrients. The owner just stand around the buffet and watches everyone s plates. If you only care of quantity of food that you are consuming definitely go eat there but if you want some quality I would stay away. I will not be coming back.

Great atmosphere and especially great food. The service was top notch.

We had a private room for a special event and it went very well. Portions sizes were generous and delicious.

I went to a party function, The food was cold and flavorless The place was too warm,and I had one beer going to have another but no service,then the bill was auto gratuity. Would not recommend this place for food at all.

This place is the epitome of a family run restaurant. The food is amazing, the staff is even better. I couldn t say better things, they will have our business as long as we live in Ottawa. They know how they helped me yesterday when I fell ill and craved French Onion Soup because I couldn t eat/stomach anything else, without hesitation they whipped 2 bowls and had them waiting for my husband. God bless and happy holidays! Kid-friendliness: My husband and I took our 3.5 year old daughter for rememberance day and we watched a little girl walking around with her father while we all ate, it was nice to see. The true definition of fantastic food run by family! I cross between family, and fine dining.

Just had our family Christmas party, the food was great and the staff was awesome.

Shout out to Maya, our server for our company holiday party. Maya single-handedly served our group of 37. We enjoyed a buffet of turkey and all the fixings in their private room. Everything was hot and delicious. Would recommend.

Great pizza

The interior is very nice. The chairs.and booths are comfortable. They have a short menu, there was note in the menu that a new one was coming. The service was not good? The service was slow to greet us at the table, and slower to take the order. The servers were attentive to their friends. There was a mistake in the order. They didnt correct the order mistake on the bill.

Tried the General Tao chicken and noodles for the first time in years. The food is plentiful but the flavor just mediocre, nothing you cant slap together at home. Stick to the pizza and youll be happy

Went for the brunch buffet, food was great. A good amount of variety to pick from. Service was great as well. Will definitely be back.

Very nice family place. The food portions were very large and impressionable and the taste was amazing. The Service was very friendly. A must try.

The lasagna I had was good, and it was very filling. It was a busy night, so that probably explained why the server didnt check up on us often enough to refill our drinks. Due to the amount of people, it was too loud to talk with my friends who were sitting directly across from me. It didnt help that a company party was going on upstairs that blasted their music. The openness and high ceilings of the restaurant helped carry sound all over. Btw, they seriously need to expand their parking lot. When I got there, 4 cars were circling around trying to find a spot. I gave up and parked across the street at the movie theatre instead.
