Amazing, amazing, amazing!! I've never once been disappointed ordering from here. The pizza is great. The service is great, everything is always so kind, one of the workers is an absolute angel, I love her. The last thing I'd add is that I have a weakness for the oreo bites 🥹 Bought them once, and now, every time I order, I have to have them. A blessing and a curse I guess lol 😭
I ordered food from here on Wednesday - NOV - 6th. I've had food poisoning for 2 days now. As this was the only meal I had that day, by deduction, I can safely assume it came from the food I ate here.
I will not re-order from Papa Joe’s. Crust was very thin and dry. I ordered a pepperoni and sausage. There was maybe one little piece of sausage per slice and a couple of pieces of pepperoni per slice. They are very stingy with the toppings. Definitely not worth $30!
Cheese fell off right away (not that there was much to begin with) and overall it just tasted soggy and bland. Overpriced for what it's worth. UPDATE: In an extremely unusual turn of events, the food tastes significantly better when reheated in an air fryer? Not sure if maybe it was just undercooked or what but it was way better that way so I'm bumping it to a 3 star.
I absolutely love their jalapēno bites. If you have not tried them yet, please do yourself a favor. But I wish they would give you the choice of dipping sauce instead of always putting a ranch dipping sauce which I do not like. Other than that, these are sooo delicious.
Worst phone service, they didn't deliver my good pizza order The pool was cold, it did not have the indicated mass. November 5, 2023 It was the day I bought the worst Hawaiian pizza, I think it was a frozen supermarket pizza. They never found a solution for me, my problem is the worst service in this restaurant
Nothing special about it. Taste almost like pizza pizza. I also bought some bbq wigs with garlic dipping sauce, the wings were soft and uncooked I had to put them in my air fryer to fix the taste. The dipping sauce on the other hand looked disgusting!!! It’s obvious they don’t leave that thing in the refrigerator, it was warm and melted. I give it a 2 stars since the wings are good once you cook them again.
Update time: So soon, I know, but I really enjoyed my pizza from Papa John's last week that I had to have it again for takeout Friday. Unfortunately, while the pizza was good, I found several hairs in the pizza that I ordered tonight. Were talking about almost every slice. I was about to take a bite of my pizza when I found a long white hair sticking out of the cheese. I went to inspect the other slices and found hair on top or baked in the cheese. I get that mistakes happen and hair sometimes gets into food (it shouldn't happen but it does), but LITERALLY finding so much hair baked in a pizza is unacceptable and makes me think that food hygiene practices and hair nets are not being implemented. Sorry Papa John's but no more takeout Fridays from me. Order #: 931970529 (in case management sees this and they want to figure out which employees were working this evening) Papa John's has made its way into Ottawa! Of course I had to give it a try. Ordered an Extra Large NY style pizza tonight, with garlic knots and a variety of sauces to try out (cheese, their special garlic and ranch). The pizza is very reminiscent to Canadian chain Pizza Pizza in my opinion, but their pizza sauce is on the sweeter side. I would recommend asking to go heavier on the pizza sauce when placing your order. Sauce was spread a tad thin. Garlic knots were amazing and they were not shy drenching them in garlic butter. SO good. I have been eyeing their special garlic dipping sauce, and found it was OK. It's basically a creamy butter. Their ranch dipping sauce had more tang, and their cheese dipping sauce would be a pass for me. They do offer Heinz garlic dipping sauce if that is more your speed, which went well with the pizza. The fam and I enjoyed the pizza, and will definitely order again for pizza night.

Dont ever get a pizza from here. It was the most disgusting pizza i have ever eaten. It was worse than a frozen pizza from grocery store. It took an hour to get it and i live 5 min away. NEVER AGAIN. The crust is frozen and the sauce is too much . Yuk.

We ordered a large meat pizza. It was so badly burned on the bottom of the crust. I opened the box and saw cheese and crust was well done. I knew we were in for a bad experience. Seriously though....how does a person not know that it was overcooked by just looking at it. Im so disappointed. Wasnt even eat able. Chicken wings were so so. There is nothing to talk about. At least drinks were cold and not expired, lol. Folks, if someone would sent a pizza that is overcooked, I highly do not recommend ordering here. Spend $50 for nothing.

Pretty good pizza with a good amount of toppings, the highlight was the crust for me. It has a great taste and texture but the garlic dip was really odd, yellow and not really creamy. It would have been 4 stars if the Garlic dip was better.

Why am I giving 5 stars because the pizza was amazing I havent had it for almost a year and with the fact I had 10 dollars off I ordered 6 cheese xl but I still say for what it is . Its not worth 30 but I enjoyed it :) my suggestion more cheese but thx again for a great pizza
I like their pizza and delivery is prompt with pizza arriving hot. When you order through their app it gives you time estimate that is way off and the pizza ends up being ready much earlier. A couple of times when Ive ordered on the phone and given a time to come in my pizza hasnt been ready. Unfortunately I was told it would be only another min or two but ended up being 15-20min of waiting. The first time they had forgotten to make my pizzas and the second time they apparently gave it to a skip the dishes delivery person by accident. In the latter they did offer me a free drink but I declined. They are very polite people but I wish they didnt mess up so often when I pick up the pizza.

The three star rating isn t about this particular location. It s well run - they get the orders right and they re friendly & helpful. It s just that Papa John s pizza is inferior to many other pizza places within a 15 minute driving distance of this location. But the specials they have here can be worth it. An X-LARGE pepperoni pizza for $20? Why not. Buy it and give it to the kids.

Great customer service, nice people...but I ordered exstra meat and got kind of bread and cheese papadia. Its tasty, but I didnt pay for bread and cheese only. Will not buy again.
Ok, I am not a big chain kind of guy. I saw there flyers and thought everything looked greasy. But the pizza was surprisingly delicious. Not greasy, not fatty, but pretty darn good. As the closest pizza place to us, this might become dangerous. But weve stuck to pizza so we cant vouch for the other menu items

Ok, I eat a lot of Pizza. A lot! When I recommend a place for some pie you take it to the bank. I ve recently had friends come in from out of time for a place I said to go. Tonight we got an order which included both a meat pizza as well as as a NY style bacon pie. I was expecting a great experience and was met with pure meh. Beyond the meh, I even almost was sick. I m sorry to say, I won t be sending anyone to this place. Let s start with the wow. ok I didn t order any dipping sauce. It was nice to see the free addon but I found out later just why we got them. Before that I tried the pizza on its own. That couldn t be farther from a New York style pizza. Extremely light on both the cheese as well as the one topping. On one slice it was almost as if it wasn t there. True New York pizza is loaded. The whole ideas revolves around great value. I ve had more toppings on a 6 dollar pizza from food basics for 20 dollars less. The meat pizza was meh. Again nothing better than a frozen pizza at still 8 bucks cheaper. Now let s get to the dipping sauce. Was that gone off? What the hell was that smell and flavour? It seriously tasted bad. It couldn t event be used. It went right in the garbage which if I wasn t hungry, the pie would join the dip. This is the franchise pizza joint I ve heard so much about ever since I was young? Really Shaw owns one? Did he buy it at the dollar store on sale? It must be just this location? Did these guys send me bad sauce and try to get me sick? No way they could be this far off the mark right? Yep they are. They would have a very long climb to get in my good books. So many better pizza joints. Very unfortunate too. I had high hopes and well . What a let down for sure. When frozen pizza is better, cheaper, that pizza was not worth anything close to what I paid out for it.. Sorry guys. You gotta do way WAY better than that. Here s the Jerry s final thoughts of it all. It s food. If you are down for cheap pizza like you got on pizza day in grade 2, this is the place. To make a name you never cheap out on the customer. 40 bucks gets me a deep dish from a place I had a lad drive over 4 hours to try. A pie where a slice is a meal. What I had tonight for Papa Johns however, is far from that deep dish. It doesn t even compare in quality. sure it s different type of pie but as I said it was about quality and for me, I m well past grade 2 pizza day. Take care of yourself and each other. (Had to)

I ordered a Buffalo-based pizza, but they mistakenly made it with Ranch. When I requested a replacement, they initially asked for the incorrect pizza back, which I returned, only for them to dispose of it. They then insisted on giving me a Large pizza instead of the Extra Large I had ordered because we had consumed 2 slices. After some discussion, they finally agreed to replace the pizza. However, it took almost half an hour to receive the new pizza, despite it being supposed to be ready upon my arrival, citing the need to see the old pizza as their reason. When I received the new pizza, I noticed they had skimped on the toppings. This experience was incredibly frustrating, and I have no intention of returning to that place due to their poor service, unfriendliness, and it being the worst customer service Ive ever encountered in my life.

Very friendly service with great tasting food. Food was ready sooner than anticipated and I received a side of garlic sauce and a hot pepper with my order which was a pleasant surprise. Personally, the garlic sauce isnt for me, but I still appreciated getting the chance to try it out. Visually, the pizza didnt look like it had much toppings (especially considering I had 5 different toppings on mine), but the flavours didnt disappoint one bit. I also enjoyed how they put a good amount of sauce on the pizza. I can see it between the dough and the cheese rather than the pizza looking like it has no sauce. Will definitely come back to this place!

Ordered an 16 NY style pizza and garlic knots. Food was very good and enjoyed the pizza.. But warning to make sure they do not slip a few side items for a few bucks more on your bill. So, best to check your box before you leave.

Garlic sauce could use a bit more kick but the pizza and breadsticks are AWESOME. I always check my food as soon as I receive my delivery. One of the sauces was flipped and they didnt hesitate to drive back and get me another - I was blown away. The owner was incredibly nice!
Its alright and akin to Pizza Pizza and Dominos. Around $20/large... So probably best to wait for a coupon code to appear somewhere for a better value.

First time trying Papa Johns pizza. We wanted to check out their stuffed crust pizza, and the philly cheesesteak papadias. The pizza was good for a chain, and the stuffed crust cheese was different (no cheese pull, booo), maybe it would have tasted better right out of the oven. The Philly cheesesteak was tasty, I myself, prefer the onions and peppers well done but it was good. I do need to say I was not too fawn of the garlic sauce, it was like eating butter lol, not for me but Im sure lots of people love it. This might be a chain, but it is locally owned and I hope they succeed! #supportlocal #ottawafoodiestalker

Wrong pizza
Went out of my way to try Papa John s Pizza. Don t let the reviews fool you, the pizza here is very average. Better but not too different from the places downtown that offer cheap slices. Cheese is good. Sauce is too. Crust is very bland.
Received a menu in the mailbox on Friday and thought what the hell, I have only heard good things...I called yesterday evening at about 8:00pm for delivery. The lad on the phone was very attentive and entertaining. I was BLOWN away when the delivery guy showed up 20 minutes later. Super fast (I live on Springfield, so thats pretty close to their location) Delivery guy was really polite, seemed to be proud that he was Delivering happiness to people. This was a great experience. Customer service is NOT a suggestion. Too many places treat customers like an inconvenience. I think the managers here get that and pass on their pride to the Team. Way to go Papa John!! Will be my go to pizza place from now on...!!
Pretty impressed by this place. Its a little pricey, but the quality is there. Theres no corner cutting. The pizzas look and taste great, the delivery drivers have been very polite and fast, the wings are actually tossed in sauce (unlike other places that just dump sauce on the top in the box). The food is always piping hot when it reaches my door. Im pretty impressed by this place and I will definitely be a regular.

We ordered an XL meats pizza and some dips, and overall werent impressed. The customer service was fabulous, let me make that abundantly clear! First off, everything is pricey. Secondly, the pizza is pretty greasey, and the sauce was oddly sweet. The pizza itself was cooked very well, the crust was perfect. The dips were incredibly oily, and the buffalo sauce tasted kind of soapy. Most concerning of all is that we found what appeared to be a beard hair on the pizza. We ordered to give it a try, but overall we wouldnt recommend it.

The pizza was delicious as always, really like the consistency of pizza quality in this place. At the same time, Papa Johns restaurants I visited before had pepperoni pizza fully covered by pepperoni while here theres considerable space between them. The service was pleasant and polite too. The reason for my 3 stars is the chicken wings we got. You can see in the photo what 4 out of 8 ordered wings looked like (I made a photo of 2 at first, then we saw 2 more little wings but I was too lazy to take another photo). It is a little questionable whether those came from an adult bird. I think such wings are not something you expect when you order this dish. Theres just almost no meat, I think 3 of those would make 1 normal one. I like this place and I hope it could improve more.

I requested the chicken wings well done they were pretty big size and not only NOT WELL DONE they were under cooked ! Had the munchies and was really looking forward to byte them they were covered in sauce which threw me off. I had to pick and choose cause most of them were big size and had lots of fat and had to byte once or twice throw rest out out of 20 maybe 5 were decent and the other half i didnt bother eating ! Pizza as well was so so the bacon bytes i could taste the FAT . Gross 70$ had to throw most of the food out! Not content at all
Ordered an Epic Pepperoni-Stuffed Crust Pizza, it delivered on time and was delicious, I highly recommend this place.

I ordered a small pizza with pepperoni, olives and mushrooms. The size of the pizza is what a extra extra small should be like if it existed, there was barely any mushrooms on my pizza. Definitely way to overpriced at 22$

I finally opted to try Papa John instead of my usually Dominos Pizza. It tasted like bland Pizza Pizza. They also give this terrible tasting garlic sauce. Do yourself a favor and grab Dominos instead its 10000% better. I will not be back.
The pizza isnt good at all ,the papadia was decent but not much meat I will not be ordering from them again
Today was my first time trying this place. The staff was great even though it was almost closing time. The taste was great I would definitely come back.
I have never gotten so turned off by food as quickly as I did from this place, I opened the garlic sauce and noticed hmmm it s yellowish, dipped my pizza in didn t find much of a taste tried again with a bit more, and all that tasted like was pure garlic BUTTER, not a sauce or dip but GARLIC BUTTER. I was immediately turned off and disgusted that my food can sit there, because I won t get that thought or taste out of my mouth
The staff was so nice and the pizza was so great and tasty the person who wrote this note I should ve ask her name she went above and beyond the service was A1 I didn t tip but I promise I ll be back

Tried Papa John s for the first time, although their app said they didn t deliver to my address, I called and no problem. Pizzas were delicious, flavourful, great crust. Will order again.
Excellent service, couldnt be better. Fantastic food in a very nice setting. I would highly recommend large Works pizza which is worth the money. A must for anyone who enjoys pizzas baked to perfection and not pretentious. Many Thanks
