Tasty eats & drinks with a Scottish Twist. Over 400 whiskies to choose from, monthly scotch tastings, live music, daily drink specials & pet-friendly patio!
The atmosphere here is great for a fun night out with friends, especially on a weekend! Since I live nearby, I often see people enjoying the outdoor tables during the summer. However, my experience wasn’t that great when we went for brunch. The quality was not good—just okay at best.
Amazing food and friendly staff. Their Thanksgiving meal was like homemade with gravy and homemade cranberry sauce. Plus the price was great. I highly recommend Deacon Brodies for food and drinks! Ask Kelly to serve you. She’s amazing!
Went here for dinner and drinks with my mom and it’s a great place! Decorated very nicely, and nice ambiance. Prices were amazing and we ended up spending so much less than we thought we would. We were served by Martha and she was so lovely. My mom joined the scotch club and we will be back!
I ordered to go. Spinach and artichoke dip was a puddle of cheesy oil and leaked all over the bag and other containers. Chips that came with it were stale and inedible. Inside of the Arancini was mush and bland. Very poor quality food. Big waste of $35😭😭
Nice place. Clean, cool staff and great location on Elgin. Outdoor patio seats available. The patties on the burgers are home made, good stuff. The inside gives out a "Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia" vibe. Thankfully the staff here are proper. Sport shows always playing in the background.
First day had Beer Battered Haddock Bites and Scottish crisps, paired with Sunsplit IPA. Second day, Haggis,🥲 Scotland's National Dish - Served on a bed of mashed potatoes, mushrooms onion gravy and dram of whisky, also BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Said a little Burns poem to start. Great server, the same on both days. Eat on patio, great for people watching and no one bothers you.
Deacon Brodies Pub has great patio vibes. Probably the fastest food I’ve had at a non-fast food restaurant. I had the Deacon's Butter Chicken Curry with the Naan Bread (highly recommend btw). Thanks for the great service!
The vibe in here is amazing- it’s a true Scottish pub! It’s dark and comfortable and they took our party of 10 in right away. The service was ok- a few items being forgotten and not overly attentive and the food was ok. Not bad but the eggs were overcooked on everyone’s breakfast. My breakfast poutine was ok- the hollandaise was not thick enough, not quite enough curds, eggs were a little overcooked and the home fries were not crisp- but the sausage was very good in it. Portion size and prices were great and I would consider coming back here for a different meal to try it again, as well as come back here for drinks for sure because the atmosphere is awesome!
Pretty good place.... Friendly atmosphere... Parking: Free street parking in the evening... Recommended dishes English Style Fish and Chips
Wonderful friendly place!
Did not eat, but shared a few drinks with colleagues, enjoyed the train overhead, and received the best host service in Ottawa from Chris :) will happily return with our own kilts!
My wife and I ventured forth to Deacon Brodies today. They are respecting all Covid safety restrictions. I had the Club sandwich and an Elvis juice from Brewdog brewery. I had forgotten how good this was. I highly recommend them for both food and brews. For dessert I had a great single malt which I am sure anyone could find one they enjoy given their great selection. 5+
Went there a couple times for breakfast. The food was great. My only criticism would be if that traditional breakfast came with more potatoes. The service was really good as well. Came and checked on us a few times to refill our coffee.
Fabulous and authentic, canada meets scotland. This was the perfect stop for a pre-dinner draught beer and appetizer, then back out into the rain for a stroll to dinner. I so appreciate a locally owned and unique pub, and was quite impressed by their extensive Scotch whiskey collection!
The Pros: -the deep fried ravioli were fantastic -decent prices and service -cider on tap -good pulled pork The Cons -my clean cutlery was dirty -the pulled pork sandwich was good but really light on the pork -the fries were undercooked and undersalted -if we didnt have an appetizer, the mains would have left us hungry as the portions were rather small
Great vibe, service is excellent when things aren t right, they fix it!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff in a comfortable welcoming atmosphere.
Waited 15min after being seated before we decided to leave. Wasnt too busy, but apparently too busy to take orders. Left and went to pizza pizza across the street, great pizza!
Nice little spot. Nice people. Good service. Thanks again for your service.ya mon
This has got to be one of the best bars ever!
Went there today to celebrate my birthday. The food is absolutely amazing I had the fish & chips and my husband had the bangers and mash everything was so delicious. The staff was so friendly our server was the best she surprised me with a piece of cake with a candle on it. That made my birthday dinner very special. Thank you to all the wonderful staff. We will definitely be back.
Really friendly staff. They struggled with my Scottish accent. But were attentive.
Our go-to in Ottawa
I came here for brunch during this years pride parade. The patio was lovely, the server gave us tips on how to get us the best bang for our buck when ordering drinks, and the food was fantastic. Ill be back for lunch sometime soon for sure!
Great put. Staff have always been great to me. Mackenzie is an incredible person.
Great people very understanding top much service thank you
Place is great until it gets busy. Forgo the steaks.
Sat at the bar. Steak and eggs and toasted western breakfasts were perfectly prepared and food volume wise was generous. Very, very good quality for the price ($21). The Innis and Gunn draft was exceptional. Excellent atmosphere, staff amazing including Ken, who is really interesting to talk to about his classic Studebaker and Cadillac. Nothing disappointing about Deacon Brodies anytime we go.
Service and drink options were great. I loved the Haggis! Only downside, the chairs are awful to sit in, keep sliding down.
Went as part of a school group of 20+. Service was impeccable despite having only two waitresses and the food was great. I had the chicken ceaser salad.
No worse for car enthusiasts you can find beautiful sports cars in the parking lot like this c63 full balck
A friendly place for a pint. Large interior with a decent patio outside.
A truly inedible meal. I went here for brunch with 3 friends, the portions were so small it felt like they were from the kids menu, and the food was so horrible half of the group didnt even finish their miniature portion. It may be a good place for a drink, but I would never consider ordering food here again.
Late night drinks. Very attentive bartender. Loved how organized the bar it. Will return.
A nice Scottish pub with good food at a good price.
Great food, great service and beautiful terrace. Worth the stop Food
I entered a man, I left a broken soul. The roast beef sandwich was a soggy sad excuse accompanied by luke warm fries that pale in comparison to garbage found on the street.
Server was nice, but the food was not. 6 wings is not a pound. Portions were small and cold.
In one word: unforgettable. Unforgettably bad. If you and yours are seeking experiences that transcend space and time, look no further than Deacon Brodies. Started off great, then we met our server. We walked her through the menu and finally got to available potential purchases. This place needs a lot of work. I wouldn t recommend buying the food; you ll be disappointed at best and severely ill at worst. Decent pub style and decor back drop, impressively bad food. The good news is that now that we ve been brought low by this experience, almost everything seems overwhelming positive in comparison. Thank you Deacon Brodies.
Dont.
Slowest service I have ever seen.. And thats on three visits in less than two months. Servers are inefficient Bringing one drink at a time often. I will order.. And before I get my drink they go to like four other tables.. And I end up waiting like fifteen mins easy
Great experience over all
Hidden upcharge on drinks, beware
Went to this place with 4 of my friends. Food was decent. I ordered the garden salad with chicken. However, our waitress was not very friendly. I asked for water after ordering my meal (because I was so thirsty), and after we all got our meals, we still had no water. I was already halfway through my salad when I asked a passing waitress for water. She said okay, and then I overhead our waitress say to the other waitress something along the lines of she cant even wait for water? Overall, not a very good experience.
Great business oldest scotch collection in Ottawa
Great specials everyday. Their house beer is very good.
Very surprisingly good food! Great fish and chips. Amazing deserts!
Came in for a quick lunch and was met with friendly and efficient service, and a yummy fish and a chips! I ll be back to check out the weekend live music soon!
Great food, great atmosphere and the staff were all awesome!
Marathon weekend, it was crowded.
Love the extensive list of scotch available, what choices! If you love scotch, youve got to check this place out! Came here mainly for the scotch and was not disappointed.
Love this place for the ambience. Vegetarian Samosa Sandwich and Scottish Lamb Ragout is my favorite!
Cool place for a beer , casual music, just wonderful!
Service was a little slower than expected but otherwise very good. Food was very good. Scotch selection is massive.
Excellent scotch/whiskey selection, and very reasonably priced. The fish and chips speaks for itself.
A really nice place Reasonable price Live music some evenings Really friendly and dynamic service
Thanks for all the non alcoholic drinks! Play lager is appreciated. Sober carpenter cider if ever you see it...thanks!
We happened to be walking down the street and we decided to dine here as they had a special for fish and chips. They had a great selection of drinks and food options. Unfortunately, my sister got food poisoning from the popcorn shrimp and the cocktail was a bit watered down. The server was helpful and pleasant, up until it came to pay. They overcharged us, which is an honest mistake, but when asked about it, they got very defensive and were rather rude about refunding the money. Overall, I wouldnt recommend this place as there are better options within a 1 mile radius and you most likely wont get food poisoning from them. Vegetarian options: There arent many but there are a few. Kid-friendliness: Kids are able to dine here, but its definitely more adult-oriented. Wheelchair accessibility: It was tough getting my sisters wheelchair through the door and to the table but the staff helped move chairs to make it through and she fit under the table with no problems.
Best calamari Ive ever had, this seafood made me rethink my entire outlook on life!
I saw the butter chicken curry dish and ordered it right away.. biggest mistake. I was shocked when the dish arrived by how watery it was. The chicken was purely an unseasoned shredded chicken thigh. Most of the chicken was fatty. The dish tasted of bland watery tomato sauce with hint of cumin. The rice was yellow and lacked any flavour. The naan was obviously from a package but was thrown onto a grill and only on one side. Very sad. I won t be stepping foot into this restaurant again.
We sat for 11 minutes and were never served - though the server saw us and walked away. Plenty of other places where they will actually serve you and take your $. Never returning there :(
Good spot to grab a pint at the wood.
If you like whisky, this is the place for you! We did a taster and had an expert to help guide us through the tasting. Staff is uber friendly. I will definitely be back for another tasting soon.
I attended an event there. The staff were great, managed to keep up with orders and the food was terrific. I will return for another event again! I have been sampling the food each week and so far I have enjoyed everything.
Fabulous breakfast even though it was almost Noon. Our server was fabulous, and you should not miss the train that goes around the top near the ceiling
Watch your bills here. they like to bump up the price compared to menu
The 3 of us each had a burger and a beer. All were very good, service was excellent.
Food is not good. Drinks and service are!
Good pub food, but no options for gluten free
Table of 4, but don t go for the food! 4 different meals, all mediocre if that. One of us ordered the bbq ribs, should have been called riblets they were so small. Absolutely no meat on the bones, and the sauce was meh. Caesar salad with it was ok. Beef dip sandwhich was a 1 star, salmon salad was weird, it was like a Coleslaw pkg with a tiny piece of salmon. Bangers and mash was actually 1 banger cut into 4 pieces, lol. And one of us order a Caesar to drink. Worst we ve ever had. Beer was good. That was it. Extremely disappointed and you could oy us to go back again. All the food was absolutely terrible. Stick with beer here.
Live the food and atmosphere. Nit expensive at all.
Avoid this place like the plague. Being on Elgin you can find any other restaurant to be a better alternative. The 2 female bartenders that operated this joint the evening I was there made it an absolutely horrid experience for me & my party. When arriving at the bar, they never announced their drink specials or had a sign mentioning their daily specials. I ordered a double rum & coke. Was charged over 16$ for it. Then to be told that it s 11$ triples. I approach the bartender and she says sorry we don t advertise that, I said it s not advertising lady it s called customer service if you run a drink special and you see in ordering that drink you should let me know about the special. They refused to do anything for me. I ask for their supervisor / boss name, they refuse to give me it. DONT waste your time or money at this pathetic establishment. As other comments mention, it should hold 100+ people, yet is it empty all weekend long with barely and clientele.
Friday night, no live music, very sad music, a redhead with a ponytail maybe blonde? Don t know she didn t pay attn to me, her name sounded like Aylin or Kayla. New to Ottawa (born and raised) and I didn t feel welcome, wouldn t come again. Sleep music on a Friday night at 1am no vibe because they were all too drunk to care. Didn t stay long. Heard this was a Highlander decendant (wouldn t even put it in the same category sorry same owner).
Came here on a Friday night at 5 pm with friends, had a whole bunch of drinks, and some appetizers. A waitress comes over at one point and tells us that there is a reservation for our table and that we have to move (plenty of other free tables around us). We told her nicely that we were about to leave anyway, so no problem. We had asked for our bills when she comes over again and tells one of the ppl in our party ok, you gotta chug this beer or move tables . We told her that this was absolutely unacceptable and that we had never been informed that there was a reservation for the table we were sitting at.. we are flabbergasted that having spent close to $200 weeks we were treated so poorly. Will not be back and do NOT recommend this establishment.
Deacon Brodies Pub is a terrific alternative to the high prices and poor offerings available in the Byward Market area. Good food served by friendly servers. You will be hard pressed to find such a selection of Scotch and a very interesting menu. Food
I went for a dinner with some colleagues on a Friday. The service was alright overall, but our table got a bit forgotten as it got busier. The food was good, but the portion size for a dinner was too small. Also, for a burger, it would have been nice to have a little bit of Mayo or mustard on the side rather than it be completely plain. We only got one ketchup bottle for everyone to pass around and we had three tables. One colleague after we all left that evening bought an extra meal at a fast food place, because she was so hungry from the small portion. Overall, it wasnt a great experience.
Great environment 5 Stars, service 3 Stars. great spot though!
Menu price doesn t always equal what s on your invoice, be aware here !
Great place to spend time with friends
Went in for a light dinner and were very happy with our meals. Great service and if you are a Scotch lover the place to be.
Fun lively place on a Saturday night, didnt stay here long before going to a show but staff were friendly, drink was good and vibe was on point. Your classic pub atmosphere, complete with train running on the tracks for extra added phone!
There has a lot of good whiskey
It s okay, beer was good and it has a nice atmosphere but the food wasn t great for what we paid. The nachos were 15.99$ and many of the chips were burnt and other chips were extremely soggy, salsa that came with it looked and tasted like it was from dollarama Food
A very solid pub, food is just decent but it s still very much worth going to
We were served by a lovely waitress and the daily special for Scottish pints was perfect! We had a few appetizers and they were all phenomenal. I loved the Scottish history throughout the pub and throughly enjoyed the atmosphere. I will be back again!
Dependable pub with massive selection of scotch. I happened to be there for the Robby Burns celebration and it was awesome. Bagpipes drums and dancers. The service was great, go see Court!! You feel instantly at home in a place like this. I m happy to support them I will go back.
I very much enjoyed the scotch tasting event January 2024! I hope many more to come this year!
Cant say how pleased we were. The waitress was very kind and joyful! Thank you Food : 5/5
Bag salad; enough said
Attended a Scotch tasting at the pub, was a fun experience. The event seemed to be sold out to get your spot early if this is something your interested in.
Kate was great. Best service
Really amazing beers, lovely steak. Wings can improve (more toasted should do the trick)
Selection, thats what sets this bar apart from the mass bombardment of generic bars that litter the elgin bar scene. Prices are okay, little overpriced for the product you are getting specially when you compare it to the drinking scene as a big picture. Flights are something every bar should offer and deacons does it right for people looking to expand their portfolio of what they like and do not. Live music is a great bonus and the train that used to go around would make me happy. I would love to see a more open concept to the floor layout over the old 90s era cubicle atmosphere. All in all a good pub that could use a face-lift.
Ive been going to Deacon Brodies for a few years now. If you are a scotch lover then Deacons is a must-visit establisment for you. It boasts one of the single largest collection of single malts in the country. Ken is an amazing person who is extremely knowledgable in all things scotch. Highly recommend.
One of Ottawas best pubs. The scotch and beer selection are great.
Good pub food. Friendly, attentive service. We ate on the sidewalk patio.
Affordable food. Amazing whisky selection!
Bad breakfast.
Smiling staff, nice atmosphere.
Good selection of pub grub and drinks. Service was reasonable. Food was mediocre at best and small portions; not really worth the $.
Great spot, nice staff and beer selection.
Would never recommend this place atmosphere, food and service are beyond disappointing
Visited this place each day of our 3 day Ottawa visit, great people watching on the patio, great beer selection and deals. Only had the fried ravioli, but it was great. Staff was wonderful to us.
Spencer, bartender was awesome. Best bartnder on Elgin. Huey was okay great too.
Living in the area, I ve been here several times and there hasn t yet been a time when I ve received good service - if served at all. There was a time when I waited 40 minutes after being sat before I left because our server never came by because she was too busy taking shots and chatting with the bartender. Yesterday, some friends and I waited 20 minutes for initial service, we got 1 beer and we never saw our server again for a refill. We sat for 30 minutes until we finally got her attention to ask for our separate bills. We waited a total of 40 minutes to receive 1 bill. During that 40 minutes, we watched another table of her s finish they meal, request their bill and have her bill them out before ever giving us another glance. When we asked again if she could split the bill she said that her system was unable to print separate bills and began to complain to us loudly enough to gain attention from other surrounding tables. I do have sympathy for this server however, considering the only other visible server was so wasted she would frequently stop dead in the middle of the floor staring off into the distance - barely able to collect herself enough to stand. I ve had enough and won t be returning. From what I ve seen and heard around town - it s shocking that you re still in Business.
Awesome place. Food is great. Whisky selection is crazy.
Solid beer options and good service, although the fried cauliflower app was a little overbattered and undercooked. Good spot for a beer on their corner patio.
It was simply perfect! Not too expensive, incredible burgers and chicken fillets, reasonable quantities, courteous staff. The service is very fast. We loved it even with the children. (No childrens menu but they shared 2 plates of chicken fillets and gave the meal 5 stars ;))
Its a bar downtown ottawa, the beer was cold and the food was hot, service was great, ill go back, one thing is thought the bathrooms are downstairs, no wheelchair access to the bathrooms and no parking
Solid Local and Import beer selection, decent food and great lunch specials.
Had a very good burger customized to order. Service fast and accurate and attentive. Clean place. Great dessert chocolate torte, not too big or too sweet. Decent coffee. Prices reasonable.
5 stars for the best single malt selection in ottawa!!!
Great bar. Would go again
Easy breezy pub with a Scottish theme. Get your kid to ask nicely and they turn the train on. Dont expect fancy, but youll get filling.
Most of the food is excellent! The staff is very knowledgeable in regards to the menu and the immense selection of whisky.
Good food, excellent pub to meet up with friends and family for a brew.
Didn t try the food but the service and atmosphere were great
Excellent local talent playing here and great selection of scotch and whiskey
We have been to this place everytime we have been to Ottawa. This time, on a Thursday, we drove into the city at 9.15 pm, dropped our luggage at our hotel, and came straight here. The live music was too loud, so we took a table away from the centre. For the number of tables that had to be served, there was only one server in the area. So, getting his attention was tough. And when he came to our table he was in such a hurry, we felt rushed. For a pub that is credited to have the largest whisky collection, their inventory control must be wanting. I asked for a double Larceny bourbon, the server came back saying no stock. I asked for the Knob Creek bourbon, he came back saying no stock. I settled for water finally. The food tastes good, typical pub stuff. We may or may not come back here given such a choice of restaurants on Elgin. But foe those who want to try this is value foe money. Provided the wait staff is plenty.
Nice place, cool atmosphere, decent beer selection amazing scotch selection most disgusting chicken wings ive had in a long time 14.99 plus tax for 4 chicken wings like buddy ordered the nachos they were good avoid the chicken wings here at all costs
My favorite & regular Scottish Pub for great times and good food, shootout to Hiwi, Rob and Kelly for always putting a smile on my face Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options available Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible place
Reviewing as an actual Scottish person, flat pint of tennents. Tennents of course already being a cheap rubbish lager, theyve made it worse somehow. Ordered haggis, had to send it back because it tasted like out of date meat paste with a metallic aftertaste. Didnt have the texture or flavour of haggis. Genuinely get better microwaveable haggis in Scotland. The 16 dollars roast beef sandwich was literally just a lump of roast beef in a panini. Decor was pretty cringe too.
We had a very pleasant experience here, we had appetizers and drinks. To which all were great! Our server was awesome, providing valued feedback on which drinks were good, and the flavours they had.
Great food and nice atmosphere. They accommodated our party of 24 people without any notice.
Monday Sept 4. Arrived for a late lunch with my family of 4. Just for myself I ordered the fish and chip and growing up in the restaurant business was not impressed with the fish and chips. The chips were under cooked and ( how hard is it to cook fries) one of the fish was over cooked and seemed like it came out of an old batch they had. The other fish was just ok. My poor server seemed unimpressed with my thoughts of the food and very distracted with everything around her.
Great Scottish themed pub in Central Ottawa in the Scottish Quarter. Waitresses very chatty and friendly. Had Tennents Lager and Tennents Stout on draft. Decent prices and Happy Hour specials.
It s great. Go in and think about the decision afterwards.
Great place except the uniform. It s outdated and degrading. No need to have women in such short skirts. What about tartan leggings or pants ?
Its such a lovely pub with an outstanding customer service and good food and drinks with reasonable prices. Its one and the very rare place in Downtown Ottawa to maintain quality food and service during and after the Covid madness. Thank you guys for making everyone welcome and enjoying our time in your pub.
Service great, food sub part, we both ordered eggs Benny but have no idea what they were serving as a hollandaise sauce, plate presentation plain and boring, have been to many restaurants and have never had as poor a Benedict, the server was pleasant and removed both our meals as we both barely ate a third of our plates.
Ive had food in the past and it was good then. There was live music when I last visited which added to the pleasant atmosphere there. The bartenders were attentive and accommodating. I will be going back when Im in the area.
Service was a bit slow at the time but the waitress apologized because they were short staffed. These people work hard. Sometimes we just need to be friendly and patient
Pros: Great location, nice patio. Cons: Food and staff neither good or bad...just there. The burger ok the fish and chips had more batter than fish.I will say the hostess (short hair with teal streaks) this night was super friendly. Walk on by. Food
Amanda and rae are absolutely amazing hosts absolutely great food and drinks would 100% recommend thanks guy
I had a good Haggis, however my date had a half cooked Haggis and after it was returned 2 times to so it would be cooked thoroughly it was returned still medium rare. Unless the dish asks for it, Im very confident ground meat must be cooked thoroughly before being served to anyone. Outside the Haggis the Service and atmosphere was wonderful
We required a late evening meal, and this establishment happened to be open during those hours. It is a remarkable Scottish-themed pub. The waitress exhibited exceptional friendliness and engaged in enlightening conversations. The addition of an outdoor patio enhances the overall experience. The food and beer provided were of excellent quality, leaving no room for dissatisfaction.
Very good food and drinks. However, prices are above the average. Finally, the waiter asks customers to pay his wage it was absolutely disgusting. Food : 4/5
They go out their way to make you feel like something the cat dragged in. What a fun experience.
Service is always good, energy is bar-like: dull lighting, wood environment, bar-like music, etc. Food is definately boxed but that doesnt matter when you just wanna go to a bar. The people and drinks make up for it
Decent for the prices, you cant expect 5 star from a pub - however it was strange that some of our party ordered the chicken tenders & fries off of the adult menu and received 2.5 tenders - one of the tenders on each persons plate was cut in half! Seems like an odd choice and honestly offputting to serve half a tender to paying guests. Otherwise ambience and service were good.
Great ad, great welcome! A pub the way we like them!
Great Scottish pub in Elgin Road. Lovely friendly staff, reasonably priced, great food and beer. Huge portions, we had to share.
Great atmosphere, however went for the turkey dinner, very small portion, potato and bread is cheap, give more than a scoop. Turkey was good, however it has a stuffing made of carrots so its not really a full slice. It was not very busy but never got refills of water, never got an opportunity to order another drink, was not very impressed. Service was terrible as waiter never came to check on us, definitely not an eating place
Very good pub. It is your typical pub serving reliable food at reasonable prices with a wide selection of decent priced drinks. Service was great and the place was quite busy with locals the two times I visited while in town , which is usually a good sign. Food
You dont need to be far to realize that you are noticed by empathetic angels that care for societys most vulnerable. Soon your troubles will be swept away and you can lose track of how many times the train went by.
Nice friendly pub, warm and welcoming. Best cider I have found in town, Angry Orchard.
The beer is good but the food is awful.
Three of us stopped here for lunch the other day. We had the Deacon Burger, Grilled Cheese sandwich, and Breakfast Poutine. Fantastic food made with fresh ingredients! The server was friendly and the service was fast. Great restaurant with ample sitting space!
Try the bourbon barrel aged Glenfiddich!
Pretty awesome
Yum, yum, yum. Gotta try the deep fried ravioli, had that for lunch, other food yummy too. Gets loud though.
Shared a few appetizers among 3 of us. Food was good. Service was good. I will go back!
Let s start with praises to the best bartender Ottawa has to offer, Kayla O. She see s you sit down at the bar? She s trying to give you a beverage and check your temperature, see what you like and what you don t like. Every time she walks by she ll ask if you re good, if you need another drink, if you want water, anything, she simply provides service the entire time she s on the floor. Now I know Canadians have low standards for a lot of things, particularly customer service, she s the exception. She rocks out every single show consistently. DB also has the amazing $11/3shots. Can t go wrong tbh. Food, I wouldn t personally but I m picky.
Great place for drinks with friends
Small bar in downtown Ottawa and didnt like the atmosphere.
Decent spot. I only go here once a year on Rememberance Day but its always been a pleasant experience.
Superlative service. I really didnt know about this place before, but I should have! Ill have to come back when theres time for Scotch!
