This was very nice button. It was very cool. Richard has a cozy environment and after living, they don't serve food, but the best thing is you can order food through uber's kip and sit and enjoy a drink along with the food outstanding place
This is a great spot for a quick drink and a way to get to know the city and meet new people. I went on my own and got chatting with the bartender and other customers pretty easily. Everything was very affordable and while I didn't try the food I didn't hear any complaints! Cheers Abby!
This is a pub type restaurant. It doesn’t open until four in the afternoon. They serve pub food. The burgers and fries are very good. That’s all I had so far from them. There is music at night. The music and the talking over it was very disturbing. It was too loud. We left. Later we ordered takeout.
Pour Boy is a small and quaint pub with a casual and homey atmosphere. My friends and I shared a drink there before a show at the Bronson center, which was only a 9 minute walk away. The food was tasty, satisfying portions for a great price. I had the brie and avocado sandwich with a Caesar salad and was not disappointed! Lots of fun craft beer options to try. My partner was well accommodated as there were lots of meal options/substitutions for his gluten sensitivity, although they make it clear that there is a risk of cross contamination. They serve Gutenberg beer so he could enjoy a few drinks too. Overall a great experience in a simple little Ottawa pub.

I've been here a few times in the past month or so, on date night and with friends. Everything from the service to the food has been great. So far, my hubby and I have tried the udon noodles, the wings, the perogies, the onion rings, sweet potato fries, and the fish and chips and for dessert the ice cream sandwich. Along with Sangria for me and rum cocktails for him. Food and drinks were delicious! The only reason I gave a 4☆ for the atmosphere is that the lighting is a little dim, especially upstairs, but the vibe is fantastic! Prices are reasonable, and I'd go so far to even say slightly under some other pubs, which have pumped up their prices quite a bit in the last two years. It was a pleasant surprise and our friends remarked on it as well. The menu is varied with vegan/vegetarian options as well. Parking is a bit dicey as it's Ottawa paid street parking until after 7 p.m., when it becomes free. After a storm, they didn't clear the roads well, so we had to park on/between snowbanks. But that's a city issue , not Pour Boy's, but I just thought I'd mention it. The only downfall to this pub is that it's not accessible. So, for those who are disabled/wheelchair bound , it's a no-go unless someone can help you over the door threshold. If you have reduced mobility, the lower level is fine, but the stairs are a bit steep to get upstairs, plus the bathrooms are also upstairs, so this might end up an issue as well. All in all, it's a great little place, and I'm glad it was recommended to me. It just might be our new go-to place for nights out with friends 🧡.
Had dinner and some pints with my brothers while visiting from Halifax and was blown away by Pour Boy. The atmosphere, price point, service, and quality of product were phenomenal! The two servers we had we both funny, personal, and quick! It's definitely a gem of a spot! I'll definitely be back and would recommend this spot to anyone!
I love this place. Drinks are cheaper than anywhere else in downtown and the food is delicious. The pub itself is lovely, and on Friday nights they have bingo night. Such a hidden gem and definitely my favourite place in Ottawa.

So I ordered the nachos here IPaid for extra meat extra vegetables it had a light layer of meat on top lil cheese and it was 98 percent chips even the salsa n sour cream are small they way over charged me and was the worst food we ever ate it might be a ok spot to drink but even for bar food its horrible like wprdt we evef had and waty to much for it no thanks never again want to piss your wife off bring her food from hear
Normally I would rate thid place 5 stars. I used to go here a couple times a week when I am back in town, its close by from where I normally stay and convenient, like a local watering hole per say haha. I am quiet and generally keep to myself, unless a patrion starts up a conversation. I was there last May 21 2024, I ordered a second drink and the bartender indicated that she will serve me after 10 min and drink some water as I appeared to be a bit on the typsy side and I appreciate that. I waited the 10 min and in doing that I went out for a cigarette and I decided to leave as a friend texted to meet up. Then I realized I didnt pay the bill, I went back to pay the bill and the bar tender was rather rude about it even though I went back to pay. So I expressed my discontent about the way I was treated and indicated there are people here now in a far worse state than I, I payed the bill gave a good tip and left. I was away for most of the summer and decided to go there last Thursday for a night cap, I havent been there since last May. A table of people behind me, started yelling many profanities at me in a aggressive manner, I believe one person at this table was a bartender, but not working on this night. I was quiet as usual minding my own business, they appeared to be rather intoxicated based on their actions. The bartender working that night approached me in a rude manner, and indicated I was there before (last May) being aggressive, which I was not I can assure this (check the cameras haha last May 21). I did express my discontent after I was treated in a rude manner. But the bartender this night didntt give me a chance to explain or provide feedback, she told me to leave and to never come back... Meanwhile the people at this table behind me were acting out in a aggressive confrontational manner towards me. The bartender appeared to base her rude behavior and decisions on very intoxicated peoples actions and perhaps in saying very exaggerated things about and towards me. I felt like I was being discriminated although I am caucasian Irish and Itaian back ground. Perhaps its my age as I am a little older than the age demographic, although there are some people there my age and older, it was a feeling of just being unwanted there for whatever reason... Although I always leave very good tips and a good customer and also from a spending perspective. Dono

Tasty home made butter chicken but insufficient rice , nan bread very bad !!! Not light & fluffy! But for a small pub they do have a good selection of draught beers !

The people hanging outside looked like they were teleported from the 90s, so we had to go inside. Beer prices were definitely from the 90s, so how can you go wrong? Cool place, would definitely return. (Didn t have any food.)

Cheap food, cheap beers, pretty good spot if you live in the area and just wanna grab a drink with some friends. Its nothing totally impressive but thats not the point, it feels more homely than anything. Youre there for the drinks and company, and you cant beat the pricing. Their events can be a good time too.

I love coming here for the cheap Pour Boy lager. The food is also priced very nicely and its a great place to go to catch up with friends.
Came here for drinks after some karaoke. Vibe was nice, service was meh. Took 20 minutes to get our bill after asking after last call. Seams that they need more POS terminals cause they can only cash out one table at a time.

Had some sour beers here on Monday April 27th. Both the servers downstairs were great. I dropped a $10 bill and the server came outside to give it to me. I m a fan.

I d like to give a higher rating but seeings how my gf and I sat there for over 10 mins without anyone acknowledging that we were there, I can t. Yes, the staff knew we were there, just chose to ignore us. Get new staff, as someone who s worked in the industry for years, the one waitress I saw was absolutely abysmal. Too busy hanging with friends and taking selfies to do her job. Too bad, I ve heard good things about this place, just never got to experience any past sitting at a table.

Only leaving this review because this is a great spot and did not expect that treatment from them. Update: Was reached out to and sounds like this was resolved. My favourite spot in the city!

This place is a gem! If you are looking for a solid local bar with cheap food, drinks, and entertainment dont look any further. Their fried chicken and kashmir poutine are great! They have daily entertainment/activities with no cover charge and the atmosphere is just amazing. Since I moved into the neighborhood, Ive been going twice a week :D
Small place. Many stand-up comedians frequent this place. If youre new, no one bats an eye. All are friendly.

The Pourboys Disastrous Experience: Rude Server and Slow Service Ruin the Visit My recent visit to The Pourboy was nothing short of a nightmare. Our server, Sidra, not only displayed a shockingly rude demeanor but also took it upon herself to play the role of an authority figure, intentionally cutting us off after just two single shots of tequila within a span of two hours. Her slow service only added fuel to the fire. Its baffling that someone who claims to have received her smart serve certification lacks the basic knowledge of properly serving quantities and seeking guidance from superiors when unsure. To make matters worse, Sidras unprofessional behavior extended to her initial greeting. She approached our table with crossed arms and a sassy attitude, uttering the words, Can I help you? This dismissive and unwelcoming manner is not how customers should be greeted, undermining any sense of hospitality. I strongly recommend that The Pourboy take immediate action to retrain Sidra in customer service and instill in her a positive body language and verbal attitude. It is crucial for servers to understand the importance of treating customers with respect and courtesy, rather than engaging in power trips and displaying a dismissive demeanor. However, amidst the chaos, I would like to express my gratitude towards another server at The Pourboy. This Caucasian server, slightly larger in body size and sporting a tattoo on her hand, was an oasis of kindness in an otherwise disastrous experience. Her warm and accommodating nature stood in stark contrast to Sidras behavior, and she deserves recognition for her exceptional customer service. Furthermore, I must acknowledge the bartenders at The Pourboy for their top-quality beverages. Despite the overall unpleasant experience, the skill and craftsmanship of the bartenders shone through in the flavorful and well-crafted drinks they served. In summary, The Pourboys visit was marred by the rude and power-tripping behavior of our server, Sidra. Her intentional cutting off after two shots of tequila within two hours, along with slow service, only added to the disappointment. I strongly urge The Pourboy to retrain Sidra on customer service and emphasize positive body language and verbal communication. I appreciate the kindness displayed by the other server with a larger body size and a tattoo on her hand, as well as the bartenders for their top-quality beverages.

Love this place. Great prices and you can easily leave feeling you got your moneys worth. Low key this place has amazing poutine and has that feeling of a local mainstay. A must of ottawa joints.
I have been a regular customer of Pour Boy for many years and the service and quality of food is excellent. The guest experience offered by Sydra, Abby and Kiara has always been impeccable. I have a small baby and this establishment has been a well air-conditoned haven for me and me son. I would recommend this pub to anyone.
Ordered the fish and chips because it was on sale, obviously I wasn t expecting much ordering pub food but the fish was super hot on the outside but then soggy in the middle and some parts were still frozen?? I feel like they heated it up in the microwave

Great beer and fine burgers! The prices are quite reasonable too. Vegetarian options: They serve a couple of vegan and vegetarian options like the Buddha Bowl, Veggie Burger, Veggie wrap and more. Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu which is great.

Cozy inexpensive pub with lovely staff! A bit weird when you have to walk through a furry rave to get to the upstairs bathroom, but not a complaint. And I am guessing thats not always a thing? Made for a trippy first bathroom break!
