Fun pub. Very popular. Have yet to try the food. Good place to drop by before a film at the Mayfair next door or catch a local live act...
I've been told numerous times to try the wings at Quinn's. Finally visited today and I may have just experienced my fav wings in town. Gerard sauce and Donny's Special sauce were bomb
I recently visited Quinn's Ale House after arriving in Ottawa and finding a spot to park for the night on a quiet residential street. I was looking for a place to relax and stumbled upon Quinn's, and I'm glad I did! They were hosting an open mic night, so I signed up and played a few songs. The staff was friendly, and the music was fantastic. It turned out to be a great night with a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend Quinn's if you're in the area!
The texture and taste of my black bean patty was like cold wet cat food, my sweet potato fries were OK but salty. My friend's Greek salad was $16.99 and looked more like a side salad. Barely any feta cheese.
Another Ottawa staple. A family run business at its best. They are awesome because of how long staff have worked there! The food is great. The atmosphere is great and they have this really cool sign outside which has a picture of a guitar!! I'm going to come back for the open mic and of course the Celtic music!!
The atmosphere was cool that's it. Me and my friend got food a black bean burger and Greek salad both were very poor quality.. The Greek salad was 16.99 for oily dressing and wilted tomatoes. Very disappointed. We went to subway right after.
Nice little pub! And when I say "little", I mean little! Capacity's gotta be under 50, but that just makes the place cozy. Nice selection of Ashton beers on tap, and good service. The night I was there, I arrived pretty late so in terms of food, they only had their "late night" menu available. Kinda limited, but I think that's the norm for a lot of straight-up pubs. Nice little spot, I'll go back, worth checking out.
We didn’t have too much time to have a drink so time is of the essence. Ended up getting a bloody Caesar and a Guinness we stayed there for about 10 minutes and had to leave because of another appointment. It was so much fun
Great pub with fantastic beer selection
Great atmosphere and beer .
Friendly staff, good beer!
Neighborhood staple. Great atmosphere, awesome staff.
Surprised to happen upon open mic night caught last hour or so ..... great music nice people..... made our evening
Ross is an excellent host. He creates a welcoming environment that keeps us coming back- thank you Quinns!
Ross is amazing. We always get amazing service and the food is so good. We come back every week.
I went at 11:30 on a Tuesday and the bartender was smoking pot out front and not letting anyone in, despite the being only moderately filled. He has been incredibly rude and hateful in other past experiences. I have been a regular for 15 years, but I now avoid this bar like the plague due to this specific bartender.
Quaint little hole-in-the-wall! Ottawas gem. Great food and staff!
Nice and cozy
Great service and atmosphere. Really enjoyed relaxing in the space and having Ashburn IPAs.
Best night Ive had in forever! Felt like I was on an episode of Cheers. Warm, welcoming staff and fun, friendly regulars! I will be back and often
Waited 15 minutes to be served. Not even an acknowledgement. We didnt look like lawyers but we didnt look homeless either. As we were leaving the bartender said have a good night guys.......
Another enjoyable evening meeting with the locals. Foods always yummy, and the staff is always helpful. We were there for about an hour or two. Lost track of time because of the conversation.
My favorite bar in the entire city. There is no better place to go if you want a cozy vibe and some great beer. You may even catch some live music here.
Great to see a pub/bar opened later than 11pm. Thanks Quinns!
Awesome neighborhood pub. A nice change from all the franchise places.
Food is great but place is tiny !!!! Its just too packed
Very good customer services!
Love this spot. Great dingy pub vibes. Great beer selection from Ashton brewing Co.
Nice, small neighborhood pub.
I actually quite like this place for the decor, overall feel and beers on tap. Just got a dry burger and that was slightly disappointing. Just come for the drinks and fish and chips and youll be just fine.
Friendly service on an unexpectedly lovely patio. Excellent burger and fish sandwich Great selection of ABC brews Food
Nice and cozy pub, no larger than an average living room. Good attentive service, from the bar keep, and the food is your typical pub fare. One of my favourite publics in Ottawa.
Good pints and great wings.
Very nice atmosphere, especially on the terrace outside on a nice evening. Enjoyed the blueberry mead and some pub food, everything deep fried.
Wings were amazing, as always.
A neighborhood pub in the best sense. V/ cozy atmosphere w/ a good beer selection featuring Ashton Brewery craft beers.
Exactly what you want in a pub, friendly and welcoming, good vibes. Easy to fit in and feel like part of the scene.
I love the community atmosphere of the place, and slightly obsessed with the blueberry beer they have....then I discovered their apple ciders...both ABC brands I think....best I have found so far , even vs lcbo ones ...great music and entertainment when I have walked over...(I live too close, what can I say)
Good beer, good food. Small place with limited room. Nice cozy vibe. Lots of good local beer from Ashton brewery. Fish and chips are outstanding.
Great little pub. Small menu and amazing beers from ABC brewery
Small so dont bring a large group. Great service and food! Cozy.
Quinns is . Cest bon. Many years later and still super.
I was a regular here for a few years in my university days, 2010-2014. Played the open mic a few times and generally enjoyed it. Popped in for a pint on a whim on Saturday night and was pretty disappointed. I wanted a beer to pass the time so I sat at the bar. There was only one person working and they were flipping two tables, so no problem, Ill wait. Tables settled, beers poured, ok. Next food comes up for another table so no problem. Then a keg runs out so ok still waiting but all very understandable so far. At this point the bartender starts texting someone and doesnt say anything to me so I wait. They take some orders from a table that has been seated for a while. They pour a beer from a tap literally right next to me and dont even meet my eye. This happens a few times and now Ive been sitting here for almost 30 minutes without so much as a hello. Eventually I get my beer and take the bill. Was tempted to leave a full pint and walk out on principle. I dont believe in wasting beer. Extra star for nostalgias sake, pretty disappointed considering all the good memories I have if this place.
Great local pub. Beer selection is great and I loved the food
I had The Full Monty today and an ABC Amber. Both were excellent. The burger especially was cooked to perfection and tasted great. The service was friendly and fast. Would definitely come again.
Good prices, quaint inside, and the food was solid. Great place to sit back and enjoy a pint. April 2022 update: the wings were great too!
The friendliest pub in Ottawa. Live music has returned on some Saturday afternoons with the John Allaire singer Songwriter series. New full menu!
Great spot, great cozy atmosphere They serve Labbats 50 which is awesome, draft too! We had their chicken Caesar salad and it was very good. They deserve their great reputation!
Open late, kind service, kind people.
Great classic pub experience. Had some great ABC beers, enjoyed the ambiance and the service. Blueberry wheat ale was a hit!
Crazy how quiet this part of Ottawa is - barely anywhere open at 10pm on a Friday night and this place was empty despite a lovely warm evening, patio and two playoff games on inside.
Best ale house in Ottawa
Quinns used to be my favourite pub in the centre of Ottawa. It was reliable, served varied and tasty food for decent prices and with excellent beers on tap. Add this to the list of places left a ghost of their former self by covid. Every item has been priced into absurdity on their menu, well beyond the 20% increase you should expect from this last year. The food has decreased in quantity and quality from prior servings. The menu is cut to almost no options, 80% deep fried. Their previously reliable fish and chips were way overcooked and much more batter than fish. Both beers arrived flat. Service was rushed: although cordial and efficient, clearly stretched thin. A real shame to see a pub operating as a ghost of what it was 15 years ago.
Loved this cozy pub. Super friendly staff. Try it!
A real local secret
Fantastic little pub great wings, a patio, and excellent service.
Love the wings, great patio
After twenty plus years of coming here - its still a great place to grab a quick quiet beer!
Their Amber ale is top of the line
Great food and service.
Cozy pub with fast, friendly service. I had the fish tacos which came piping hot and crispy. Quite a few nice pub food options here and a good range of quality ales.
A fun place to have a drink! The wheat & blueberry drink is the bomb!
Nice pub, great atmosphere, average food
A true Public House! Quality upscale fair, comfortable atmosphere for chats with folks of all ages and stages, had a wonderful time...see you next year
Great place with great food away from the business of Lansdowne. It had seating when nothing in the Glebe did.
Fantastic spot for a delicious meal and a drink, and right next door to the Mayfair theatre!
Quinns is GREAT! Small and intimate, one of the better dates spots if you are into the pub scene. Ryan though, he turned the experience from four stars to FIVE!
Great local spot , intimate ambiance
Some of the best wings in the city and nice patio. Cons: - website and front window need to reflect that wing night specials are currently not in effect. - some patio lights were broken so it was a tad dark
The best spot for a pint and good company in ottawa
Great place to go for a drink and some food, whether on the patio or indoors
Slow service. I think the server was working alone both for the inside and outside. The nachos were ok. Cute patio.
Simple, to the point bar. Beer. Food if you want it.
Great neighborhood pub. Awesome food and local beers on tap
Small, quiet, clean, convenient location, good service.
Great spot for some delicious ABC beers, btender is a beauty as well, will be back soon!
Quinns is a cozy local pub, with good beer and burgers. The Ashton stout is particularly good.
Great music, cozy atmosphere, really cool servers that Id love to be friends with!
Yep.
Quintessentially British Edit: Ive been informed by my girlfriend that I missed making a great pun here
A cozy and delightful space with a good selection of local brews.
Small place it big warm heart
This tiny pub is a gem. Devoted clientele gather each Saturday afternoon to share a pint, a nosh of pub food and listen to their troubadour John Allaire. I was awestruck as we sat so cozily listening to the country blues rock original music of Johns...but more so that the clientel sang with him, mouthed the words and roared loudly at the end of each song. Dark, intimate, warm and friendly, this is one pub NOT to miss. But go early or youll be hugging the entrance door with 10 other loyal fans.
Very accommodating!
A fantastic little pub friendly welcoming people and staff are brilliant. Drink price are also very good
Cozy little place with a lovely vibe and great food and drinks. We got there late so we selected off the night menu. I had the pound of wings and she had the fries. Both were tasty and the portions generous. The bartender was pleasant and courteous although he pretty much ran the whole place (kitchen AND bar) on his own!! Will definitely come back.
Great food, beer and music!
Best pub in the city. Great patio
Great Bartender and Kitchen staff, always friendly smiling dancing and singing.
Great summer patio and very cozy in door space.
Good atmosphere, great drinks!
Always a great time at Quinns. Warm atmosphere but loud. Every time I visit, the place is pretty much packed.
Cozy and good beer. Food is pretty decent for a tiny pub.
Great local beer, good burgers and wings. cozy atmosphere
Good food, beer, and atmospheric. Occasionally poor music choices for dining.
Great little pub tucked away beside the theatre, this place has such a warm and welcoming feel. Perfect spot for a drink before or after diner, or to have a quiet one to yourself. Lots of local beers as well.
Best local pub
Cozy pub owned by Ashton brew pub. Lots of ABC on tap.
this place is so awesome. the best nachos and beer ever. Its honestly the bees knees.
Genuine
Love the atmosphere but miss the fried chicken. Bring that back and its 5 stars.
Best pub everrr!
Great job Ryan for the service and awesome food and beer. From the BC Boys Tyler and Jeremy
Came from out of town looking for a pub with character. This cozy pub rocks it with great craft beer and delicious wings served by Ryan (server/bartender). I ll definitely be coming back next time I m in Ottawa!
What a lovely, cozy bar, only made better by the incredible bartender Ryan Kulas. His taste in music and anticipation of customer needs exceeds expectations. Will go again!
Verry good
Quiet, quaint and charming. Has an awesome patio overlooking the Ottawa river!
Cozy. Cute. Friendly. Nice. What a good place. Open till 2 everyday. Just a good place.
Wings Gerard and a Session ale love this place and love the staff
Quaint neighbourhood pub with a terrific beer collection. Lovely outdoor patio. Great staff and reasonable prices.
Homey
My girlfriend and I frequently grab a beer here! Very relaxed and chill vibe with a good selection of beers highlighting Ashton Brewing Co! Food is surprisingly excellent, one of the better burgers I ve had in the city. Fills up quickly especially if there s a major sporting event happening on tv/in the city! Overall excellent place to grab a beer with friends and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, candle lit tables and great food!
A true classic of Old Ottawa South. Great pub food and atmosphere.
I love Quinn s. Legit one of Ottawa s best kept not-so-secret secrets. It holds some of my best memories with friends. Great spot with great food and drink. The owners are the loveliest people.
Amazing little pub, very intimate and cozy. Great pub food and service was spot on..great place to chill before a mystery movie at the Mayfair
Just what you would picture a small neighbourhood bar to be!!
Cute, quaint bar. Very homey and great staff!
Pretty neat little pub. Service was pretty good
Quinns is a must. Ashton Brewery among others on tap and some of the best saucy wings in town.
Lovely pub, great atmosphere. Very cozy so best to go on a chilly day and sit in the big comfy chairs and have a pint. They always have lots of seasonals and a super friendly staff. Good French fries too.
Nice place to go to and have a bite to eat on the patio after a movie.
Teensie little pub with years of history. The original location of Pattys Pub. Same owners. Good friendly service and a homey atmosphere. Long live the Quinn!
Great tiny pub, check out the Allaire show Saturday afternoons
Wings are really good!! Very basic but worth ordering!!
Always cozy with patio closed, great atmosphere. Friendly.
A very nice small intimate pub with great beers on tap. Always fun to go meet people and even listen to live entertainment at times
Friendly, Irish Pub. Loved it!
Decent beer and food, yet was discriminated against, unsure if it was because of race or sexual orientation of myself and my friend who went here, but ordered a drink and was brought the bill immediately, asked for a menu and was told it was fries and stuff because it was late night. Yet it was clear other patrons in the bar appeared to have been served food, and no one else seemed to be required to pay after one drink, despite wanting to order more. Once our friend showed up who knew the bartender, the entire experience was changed and we received better service as we moved to be served by the bartender.
Been going here for years and always enjoying the selection of beer and the vibe of the place. Unfortunately before 10pm they were no longer serving the regular menu and had already moved over to their late night menu so we had to go elsewhere to get some decent food.
Best spot for Sat afternoon live music. Amazing atmosphere!
