Doors Locked at 10:27pm...(1am close) Tuesday May 14th Called and was told they close early on slow nights... why were there 6 people with full beers around the bar. Check your cameras and your staff Food

My partner and I had a pleasant dinner at this establishment. Although the food was slow, I noted that the server (Enyah) was working the patio and inside! She did a fantastic job at our table. Plus, the food, drinks, atmosphere and location was great. I highly recommend. :)

Really nice staff and food

I was there recently with my family. Comparing against other restaurants we visited, the service was the slowest. And it wasnt busy. It seemed like the servers were more interested to chat amongst themselves.

I always love visiting Ottawa with the family, and each time we try to have dinner at a new restaurant. This last excursion found us at the Clocktower pub right in the main district by the parliament buildings. The atmosphere was relaxed and the seating was very comfortable. Our server, a young lady named Evelyn, took our order after making a few spot on recommendations. I had the Supreme burger myself and really loved the portion size and taste. Evelyn was sure to look after us throughout the meal, replenishing our drinks and following up with desserts to finish off our dining experience. Really impressed with the service, the food and we will definitely be back again.

Terrible experience. Service took over an hour and a half to get a meal. All because there was a large party of about 10. After our many times at clocktower, this is the last.

At 2pm, 3 of us went to clocktower pub Rideau, 2 of our meals were completely wrong despite the waitress repeating our orders back to us and writing it down, it was clearly a kitchen mistake. When we asked for one to be corrected the kitchen sent it back in disrepair .we declined that meal instantly. Will not be going back!

This is my local pub! Great craft beer, good food, and a sunny patio. Great deals on wings Tuesdays. Always a friendly greeting from staff, especially Ali, Josh and Aiden!

Unfortunately, no service in French (menu included) and the waitress is very stupid. We do not recommend.

I came here not too long ago with my boyfriend for a late lunch. The service was very fast thanks to the server we had (i think her name was Evelyn), and she suggested the wrap which I enjoyed very much. Would come back again.

Clocktower is a casual restaurant with unique craft beer, incredible poutine, and wonderful service! I was served by Aidan, who s a skilled bartender and great conversationalist. What a cutie, I ll definitely be coming back in hopes he is working for more excellent service

A few large TVs to choose from and ample space for many. Drinks were nice. Place looks good.

Great beer, but the food and service just ok. Had the poutine, fries were nothing special and cheese curds were a little sparce. Too many thick green onions. I ordered the optional bacon, so it came with a dusting of bacon bits. Gravy was allright. Tip prompt started at 18% so that is a big thumbs down

Absolutely horrible. On a random Tuesday, with the place at 30% capacity, a guy with a white beard told me to tuck my chair in at the bar so the servers could get by. He didnt want to give up his seat to a customer, I suppose. I looked behind me and there was plenty of room for someone to get by, but I tucked my chair in like a good little customer. He seemed to work there, but was drinking beer. There was one server/bartender who took forever to take my drink order, and then didnt even offer a food menu. I cant tell you what she looked like because she didnt even offer a smile. 25 years ago, I catered to a full bar, with a smile, and not a warning to stay out of the way like the guy with the beard warned me. They sure do like to spoil their regulars, though. I cant comment on the food since I was never offered a food menu, but the plates coming out of the kitchen looked all right. People started to leave almost immediately, but all I heard coming from the guy with the beard was Its abnormally busy for a Tuesday! Its a madhouse! Buddy, pal, no, its not. Get a grip. Geez Louise, when Billy Joel was singing about loneliness, he sure didnt mean that someone should seek out The Clocktower on Rideau. Ridiculous! Adding a picture of my overpriced wine so that this review gets more views.

nice location and drinks are ok but food is bad, a very mediocre 20$ 1 layer of Nachos with barely any toppings. this thing should be 5$ , in most other places in Ottawa a 20$ nachos is a huge tray you can share with like 4 people....

Its one of my favorite spots to eat out. Nvere disappointed in their service, food quality, or drinks. Usually, go to their Olreans location. I recently tried their market location, and I was very impressed.

Service was fast and friendly. I enjoyed the wings so much I brought a few home for a late night snack (not really that late, Im a senior). Normally a cider drinker, but I have apparently acquired a taste for their raspberry wheat beer and it goes down nicely on a hot summer afternoon. Even picked up a few to bring home (to wash down those wings of course). Prices were reasonable, especially since the wings were on sale that day.

Ordered the nachos and they were all stale and felt like barfing...never come to the Rideau location

We popped in Friday afternoon, a group of 8 adults for some drinks and appetizers. We enjoyed the beer and the food, then the manager came by and gave us major attitude, we won t be back.

Most food wasnt well seasoned . The poutine gravy was not tastey had a odd flavor(bad). Pasta was horrible would not recommend it was diluted. The chicken wings was very dry yet somehow still tasted like water and the honey garlic flavor was not there. The one good thing from the clock tower was the calamari.

A really nice restaurant to grab drinks and food in the downtown. Food is really good at a nice price. The overall atmosphere is great specially during summers with the patio. Recommended if someone wants to grab a quick bite and a couple of drinks with friends. Food : 5/5

I had the veggie burger with salad and the salad was mushy. The server replaced it with fries but I really wanted a healthy salad. Also the TVs were annoying.

Great place to stop and have a couple of drinks Rekaxed atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the Byward Market A little pricier than the other bars but the beer is really good.

The Kolsch was not as good as billed, but the other beers were good.

They sell their home brewed beers, and you can get 6X 5oz samplers for $10.

If youve been to other locations of the Clock Tower chain, you might be surprised at how nice this location is in comparison. Their seating options are very good, and the whole place has lively atmosphere. The glass walls create a sense of a lot of space and most seats feel like good seats.

Friendly staff, great drink selection and a wonderful atmosphere. Location is super convenient for public transportation and the Rideau center parking garage is just around the corner. Parking: Parking available at the Rideau Center, lots available.

Excellent bacon poutine; sauce, fries, bacon etc with quality ingredients one of the best poutine in Ottawa well done, very good chicken wings also courteous service with a smile and fast and reasonable price, good beers too and good atmosphere!

Understaffed and sun- par food. Came because it was supposed to be the OG Clocktower Pub. Don t waste your money or time here. Food

Server was rude!!!! We arrived at 8:45pm and she told us we had to wait till 9:00pm for happy hour!!! I tried to explain that we were ordering food and would be here long after Happy Hour and her response was not NOPE you will just have to wait!!!. Restaurant was not even busy (and now I know why) we placed our food order @ 8:50pm and by 9:20 the food still hasn t arrived and the server never did come back and offer us Happy Hour !!!! Finally had enough and got up and walked out. Won t be back and definitely won t be recommending it .

Nice place food was good. Only issue is Ottawas lack of action on their drug user problems. Watched the manager artfully seat and in short order convince someone that was very high this was not the right place for them, TWICE in the hour long dinner. Really Ottawa, why should this be a required skill for a restaurant manager?

It s a cute bar! Came here for dinner cos Joey rideau was booked up. They have large benches for outdoor seating, table tops and booth style seating as well. We were sat immediately on a Saturday night. My mom tried the fish and chips and I got the chicken linguine. I felt like the pasta was a little on the dry side with not a lot of feta on it but when I added a bit of tartare sauce it got better quickly. The chicken was delicious. My mom said her fish was very fresh and it did come with a really generous portion of fries. The wait staff was very quick and helpful. They got us additional stuff as we asked for it. the bathrooms were clean as well even tho it was a busy night. This is a good option to come to for a quick meal - lots of burgers and sandwiches and they brew Their own beer too. Seems like a fun crowd comes here!

There quite often the servers & chefs are top-notch! The food comes out fast and always tastes perfect. Their summer cocktail menu is terrific especially the hulk! Bartenders are very experienced which is always a bonus in this type of restaurant!

Trivia on Wednesday nights is amazing!

Fish and chips were nice (especially like that r fries are seasoned). Ambiance was nice, lighting maybe a little too bright/industrial for a Friday date night but perfectly fine for friends, background music fine for conversation and not too loud except in the doorway. Very clean and friendly (quite familiar even, with regulars). Good beer too.

One poor guy for the whole place..drink took 15 min. Food about 5 min after.. Gave food back a 10 min later.that is finally when he checked on us...cold and not good.. They took the food off..but my 14 dollar drink with its shriveled little piece of pineapple..lol..I asked him if he knew what was on top of my drink..he said pineapple..with transferred maraschino juice on to it..he took it and never brought a fresh one back..lol..Time to improve..had to get our own napkins and no little plate for your nachos..

Legendary food and beer. Excellent service. Really enjoyed the beef brisket sandwich and the No. 7 IPA. Both were phenomenal on every level. It was Friday night and very busy, but that didnt stop the staff from providing great service! Highly recommended.

Way too expensive. Burger, fries, two beers, tip, tax getting upwards of 50 bucks. Even if this is disposable income for you, honestly ask yourself is it *worth* spending that much for dinner, or could you put that money towards something else in life? Come on get a grip on the times were living in Clocktower Pub

Came in on a Tuesday for the wings night, $9 wings and $6 pint. The place is about half full with 2 servers only (would say quite busy for 2, and it got more busier after I sat) They didn t cheap out on these special, seems to be a regular portions. Ordered the wings twice, came with 10 and 11 wings for the order. And the pints are 20oz! The wings comes really quick and it s fresh and hot! (I believe they might prepared the wings before, which is fine for a wings night) Service was good, greet with smile, ordered the beer when I first sat, and water comes with it without asking. Check on food quality on both order and offering drinks when the glass is almost empty.

Maybe try to provide some atmosphere/ music? Not so welcoming either, and total complacency from the server. Usually enjoy Clock Tower Brand but NOPE on this location. Sorry guys, needs some company management love that is clearly lacking.

Good food and drink at decent prices, absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced. The waitress came over to us twice in a two hour period, blatantly ignored me when I tried to get her attention, and actually forgot to punch in our food. By the time we realized she had forgotten our food, the game we came to watch was over and we didnt want it anyway. She brought us our cheques and we went somewhere else to eat. Completely ruined our night.

Solid brewpub. Has a corporate aesthetic but a small-pub vibe re: service and patrons. Product is good too. I had the No 7 IPA, which was very balanced and dangerously crushable, and an ESB that was one of the better Ive had. Staff were great, would def come back.

Great Benny Brunch served with smoke meat! Yummy. Great space, luv the booths that wrap around and easily sits 6. Ohhh and great, friendly staff.

Great patio to sit out on a nice summer day. The service was a bit slow to our larger group and we would have appreciated a bit more attention to detail with our orders as opposed to rushing through all of us just to get on to the next table. Wings here are good, but nothing to really rave about too. Drinks are fairly priced

Excellent food and great service. It wasnt too busy at all. I tried the clocktower lager beer pint and it was only $ 6 ! I ate the wellness bowl which was tasty. Vegetarian options: The menu had some good options

Really enjoyed the food. It was excellent. Our table tried the pierogies, calamari, buffalo burger, turkey burger, Thai peanut bowl, and salmon poke bowl. Only complaint was that there were too many fried wontons included with the salmon poke bowl compared to how much salmon was provided. Which is the epitome of minor problems. Beer was enjoyable if a little average, which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Vegetarian options: There were several vegetarian options including burgers, sandwiches and salads.

My new favourite Clocktower location! Our waitress was SO funny and friendly, Id go back just to chat with her more! Also, we were there in time for their CIRB menu, so the prices were amazing and the food was incredible. Definitely recommend the Wellness Bowl! Well be back!!!

Terrible!!!!! The beer was really good but food was terribly small servings, terrible presentation, not tasty and overpriced. A couple dishes were just awful. Service NOT GOOD! So sad and disappointing for my kids and I on our first night in Ottawa.

Supreme burger with fries and gravy. This burger is a messy one, and worth it. Sadly they put pickles on then removed them (residual juice flavour, ew). The server was VERY attentive but didnt bring more water when requested. Not impressed with the gravy. Wrong beer used as a base perhaps. Definitely worth a visit.

One of three bars I loved going to, in Ottawa. I first came here this summer (July 2022) and I loved it. At first I didn t like it. Because the first time I went there, the staff were too focused on other things. I went there before lunch time, and there was only a few people there, besides myself of course. So I thought they were gonna check on me a few times since there were only a few of us there. But they didn t and was too focused on other things. I remember finishing my drink and I wanted to get more. But they were talking to other people, which isn t a bad thing of course. But it looked like they were just socializing with them, rather than serving them. So I had to wait a while before I got my next drink. After I finished it, I decided to leave. Cause it felt like they totally forgot about me overall. And I didnt want to wait for so long between drinks. So I left. However, I ve decided to give this place another shot. So I went there around lunch time again. And like the first time, there was barely anybody there. So I sat right at the bar, and it turned out to be a good choice. Cause the bartenders were checking on me more and make sure everything was good with me. Which was nice. I remember sitting there having a drink, and some older woman came and sat right next to me. Which I thought was weird considering the whole place was empty. But I didn t mind because she minded her own business and was nice with me when we talked. So I kind of appreciated the company. Anyways, I ended up meeting Ryan. Which was the only male bartender working when I was there. And he s a nice guy. At first, he was just talking to me cause he was serving me. But I moved to the bar and we ended up talking. Which was nice. So we got to know each other a little more. And I loved it. He really is a nice guy. I didn t meet the other bartenders. But I got to meet him, and I m glad. He said that place was the only place he works at. So Im hoping to see him again if Im lucky enough to go to Ottawa again next summer! As for the food, it was great. Well, I only had one thing to eat. And that was the chicken fingers and fries. It was good, as expected. But I got fries by itself the second time I was there, and it was amazing. They gave me the perfect sauce for it too. I loved it. I definitely would order it again if I go there next summer. So overall, I do recommend going here. The setting is pretty big. And the bar itself has a nice design to it. The food is good and I would recommend going there lunch time, or a little after that. Because that s when there isnt too many people. And it gets nice and hot. Which is perfect. Because who doesnt enjoy having drinks in a place thats nice and quiet?

I have been coming to this place for a year now almost every week. The food is delicious (especially the blackened chicken) and especially love going cause the staff make it that much more enjoyable during my visits. Val has been my regular server for most visits, and appreciate the way she is attentive, and makes a not so good day turn into a some great laughs!

Great location steps from O-Train right near the life of the city but not quite in the ghick of it, Great place to actually sit and chat and the manager and staff are super!

Burger exactly hit the spot, fresh and hot, with crispy chips. Beer was on point too! Quiet mid afternoon lunch, so the place wasnt busy.

Do not go there to see a CDM match, they remove the match to tell us that they will put it back right after, we are still waiting

Pleasant visit.The atmosphere was relaxed and warm. The sanitary and distancing rules are well respected. On the other hand, the food is quite expensive, but good. The drinks are great. A negative point, we asked for the access to the wifi and they could not give it to us.

Clocktower is always a great experience, great staff and great drink deals. If Dave happens to be working ask for his sangria; it is the best i have had in the area!

A great dine in option if youre in Downtown Ottawa. Mostly bar and finger food but the food tastes great. They have a good selection of cocktails too. We had the fried calamari and fish tacos which were yummy. The poutine tasted great too!

Lovely service but not a fan of the food or drinks. The battered cauliflower was not crispy and the cocktail was just ok.

Awful experience. Sat forever before a server arrived. Food took over an hour and it wasnt busy (mid-afternoon). Server peeked over twice while we we were eating to see if our plates were empty, but didnt bother to come by the table to ask if we wanted drink refills or to see if the food was ok. The food was good, but we wont go back.

Took over an hour to get our meal out and it wasn t busy at all. Our waitress stated that the wait time was due to new kitchen staff, and that is fine. I understand. However, when our meal finally came out, a large piece of plastic bag was in the food. I kid you not, it was at least 5 inches long. Overall a bad experience.

Worse service of any restaurant Ive ever been in.

I shared a meal last night with a friend at this location. It was quiet when we went at 6pm and we had no expectations with it being typical pub fare. We were surprised and delighted the food was so good! Hands down the best sweet potato fries weve ever had!! The maple seasoning was sublime and highly recommend you go if only for them!! Thanks go out to Taylor our excellent server for the suggestion!

A nice spot for a quick lunch and beer, service was good, food was ok. Portions were small, they looked like appetizers or kids meals, not great value considering the portion size vs price. I may come back but only for drinks next time.

Nice place for a beer or just grab something to eat !! Located directly in front of the beautiful byward market. The pub have large open windows that let you a chance to contemplate the snow falling slowly or just to enjoy the sun. The pub of a nice selection of beer and some directly brewed on site and bring to you by some nice people. Enjoy your next visit

Amazing chain of local craft beer in Ottawa. The Rideau location is my favourite. Staff are amazing, always quick and friendly. Good for groups or just a few people. Good pub fare. The bathroom is in the far back and are water closet style. Accessible washrooms and entrance available.

Ordinary food, a lot of things were missing from the menu. The poutine was ordinary. Expensive for what it is. The beer was good though.

Wonderful service. The server was very attentive, checking in every 5 minutes or so. And the Clocktower Burger was absolutely amazing! Coupled with a yummy Caesar, I was in heaven last night.
