I placed an order through Doordash and was charged 50$ for goat, fish, rice and peas and a ginger drink and I only received the goat. Requested a refund through Doordash but the restaurant said they don't work with them. Very odd situation. I waited an hour to not receive my full order. I was also hung up on without anything being resolved. If you truly do not have business with Doordash then you should contact them because it shows you as an active option on their app/website.
Don't bother putting in an order through their website, they don't check those orders so they won't know what you're talking about when you come in to pick it up. Their rice ($5.99) is rather bland, the Wild Spinach Stew (Fumbwa, $8.99) is likely an acquired taste, and the goat meat ($22.97) is extremely tough, although this may be typical of the cuisine. The samosas were alright but a bit expensive for $2.50 each. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is... visually stimulating. It looks like it used to be a sports bar but they've added disco lights that shine into your eyes while you wait for your food at the bar.
I highly recommend I went to try and eat dishes from different cultures and I loved it there is a good atmosphere and there is a TV to watch matches while you enjoy delicious food

Delicious! We had the goat and chicken with rice and salad, plantain combo. The sauce they put of the side is amazinnnggg. Weve never been here before but we cant wait to go back. This place is a our new gem!

AMAZING. Best goat meat in town. I m a Congolese trust me I know what I m talking about. I recently moved from Montreal and it s been hard to find a very very good Ntaba place. The rice was well cooked. It was my first time there and it won t be the last. The only this is be ready to wait minimum 45min. I got it from uber eat and it took a hour.

The best Resto-Bar in Ottawa, very good atmosphere, very friendly employees, well decorated and very clean, most importantly the food is very good, an African flavor mixed with Canadian. If I could give 10 stars I would have, I recommend everyone to go to Double 7.

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Costumer service!! After ordering a dish for pick up and waiting for approximately 30 minutes. My husband walked to the restaurant 20 minutes from our home to pick up our order. After a while of waiting for the order the lady told my husband that they did not have the dish and there is nothing they can do the about it. My husband complained to the manager who rudely walked away without an apology. THIS PLACE IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!

My friend and I have been regular patrons of this restaurant for a long time. After today we will no longer be returning. We ordered goat and matoke. When we got home, we realized that the goat was burnt and there was barely any matoke. My friend called to let them know and they tried to make excuses that there was nothing they could do. We went back to the restaurant (over 20 minutes from home) and my friend argued with them to replace the burnt goat and to give more matoke, since they barely provided any. The kitchen staff refused to do anything and only replaced the goat after 20 minutes of arguing with the staff while they had the owner on the phone. They refused to reimburse the matoke even after taking it back and yelled at my friend that she was no longer welcome back. This treatment of a loyal customer is unacceptable and, despite normally having a positive experience with their food, we will no longer be returning to this establishment. Very disappointed that this is how they treat their regular customers.

Horrible customer service. There s this one woman that works there and she s very rude. The food was okay but I m never going back due to how disrespectful she is to her customers. Unless they fire her this place has no value and is not an enjoyable environment to be in.

First and last time there. I ordered the Chicken Wings there. The menu said $9.99 for Wings. I asked what flavors did it come in. Apparently just one flavor. I figured their house bbq. Nope. Plain, with a thimble of Franks Red Hot. I got home, and poured my own Honey Garlic sauce to make them Not boring. On top of that, when the bill came, it came to $12.99 because they didnt update the menu. I still only payed $9.99, but they plan to charge 13 for 8 small plain Wings? Talk about over-priced, and underwhelming. If youre gonna charge 13,make it a dozen, and douse them in your own sauce, and add variety. Not everyone like Franks.

Great food with terrible customer service. The waitress was rude on my two visits. Always getting irritated when I asked how big the meal was or what the taste was. I am just saying that if you work in a restaurant, you should be able to explain your menu.

Ordered the goat, rice and salad combo. The goat was over cooked and super chewy. The rice was delish and the salad was basic. My friend got the 1/2 chicken combo with plantain and salad. The chicken was a bit dry but overall better than the goat.
Their goat meat it clearly the best in the city hands down..The chicken was all right the first time the restaurant opened but I just try some yesterday and it was magically delicious kudos
Great food and Up beat music atmosphere, makes you feel you are not in Ottawa any more. Keep on improving the fast food model and I m sure this restaurant is here to stay. Food is very well seasoned and tasty! Yum!!!! Can t wait to try the hot wings next time and fish menu. Portions were very generous for the prices. Left feeling so full no room for desert. The restaurant is spacious, clean and well ventilated. the foods are fresh and delicious. for the price and the portion served, it is the best African restaurant in the city. its good to lick your fingers! Highly recommended.
