Excellent place, value for money, to try!

Went through the reviews and was incredibly surprised how wrong they were. This is an incredible place with amazing staff, fantastic atmosphere, great food and fun drinks! The dj read the crowd and played great music. Perfect place for a pre, late night snack, or even hot spot of the night! Super affordable as well for any students;)

This place used to be our favorite several years ago - not anymore. We ordered food, and I was brought the wrong order which the server also dropped on me (no big deal - but he did not even try to help me clean it up, and walked away even when I said its not what I ordered, and never approached us after that). We called another waiter to bring correct order. The quality of food was quite bad - we ended up half finishing it to go eat somewhere else. When the server saw that we were not tipping while paying, she rudely walked away looking offended (although the service was HORRIBLE). The decor looks nice but it does not remedy how bad this place has become. Highly unrecomemended, and we will advice all of our friends and family to never come back to this place.

We were having lunch with our son and his girlfriend on a Sunday afternoon. We stumbled on the Warehouse and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The employees were very pleasant and friendly. The menu is filled with lots of yummy food at very good prices. I had the General Tao bowl and absolutely loved it. The only thing I have to say negatively is the stairway to the bathrooms is very dark and I was afraid of falling.

If nobody told you, THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH OR CREDIT CARD. They didn t indicate this anywhere in the place. Food quality is lower than average and the servers couldn t care less for you or what you need. If you not order right away, they leave you for almost 15-20 min. Overall not a great experience so wont recommend it.

Went there to have dinner with my friends, some who were underage and we were not planning on drinking, just wanted some dinner. The waitress basically said she couldn t serve us due to those being underage because after 8pm all minors must not be on the property. Very stupid, they loss our service that night and will not be returning.

Great place if you re looking for a loud fun environment. At night they have a DJ in the booth and the music hasn t missed yet. I ve only gone at night so the service is a little slow but it s most likely due to how busy they are!! The food is okay, the portions are smaller compared to other bar foods. The drink selection is to your heart s content. Great spot to go with friends!

The bartender was extremely rude. Some kid with his cap on backwards complained I didnt tip and that I should for his service. Who the hell do you think you are to tell me to tip when I paid a 100 dollar bill. I had some cash ready to tip but once he said that I was too upset. Management should train him better.

Here to update my review, I have been going to the warehouse for the last 5 years, but yesterday, food (tao bowl and grilled sandwich and soup) was served cold. The first time, I experienced something that looked not fresh/uncooked. Other than yesterday, it has been 5 out of 5, service is always amazing as well

The food was great. It has a real skater surfer vibe and it is fun and chill. I could see myself having more than a pint there ;) Kid-friendliness: I could bring my kids here for a meal and not worry about disturbing people.

Dropped in for lunch and a beer. Tony, the bartender on the rooftop was the nicest waiter ever! So cool and chill and super easy to talk too.

Horrible experience the food to nearly an hour to get to our table after ordering. People who came in nearly half an hour after us were being served the exact same things before us!! The hostess was rude as heck and the food barely decent let alone good.

This is a good lunch spot. Sat just inside the patio so still caught the ambiance of the market. We had the crispy chicken burger and the tacos both very tasty. Our waitress Kooper was very friendly, pleasant and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

Was bicycling through the Market on a late-night mid-week summer adventure, following the hustle and bustle, appreciating the sights and sounds. Went past the Warehouse and spotted bartender Trent behind the wood. Hes a good lad from Sandy Hill hotspots. Locked up, went in & sat at the wood. Trent greeted me warmly and set me up with a cold beverage. Great ambiance! The music was pumping, a young and beautiful crowd, present company included or excluded, depending on perspective. There was an interesting video montage playing ... some epic powder skiing and snowboarding shots from the back bowls of Whistler and Revelstoke. Have my seasons pass at Camp Fortune ready for the 2025 season and was stoked to see the aggressive lines and phat carves. Trent was friendly and professional and filled me in on the planned construction of the upper deck. There are plans for some NFL game nights. More football please! Will be back for that. When the DJ plays there are music videos on the screens and sound blowing up the system. Its all about the bass. Said goodbye to Trent. tapped out, and am back in Sandy Hill. Why cant we have nice things in the hood? Will be back at Warehouse for the cool vibes, big sound, professional and personable service, football on the big screen, and more ski vids. Go big or go home!

It was a hot day in July and we asked to be inside. They sat us at the back but nobody came to bring us water on this very hot day. Nobody was covering our table. We had to ask to see menus. We had to ask for water. Food was mediocre. Nothing fancy. Not that we expected much. Seems they had a staff meeting as there was a lot of attention at the table beside the bar. Definitely will not recommend this place. There s lots of places to eat at with better service.

Had lunch here with the kids while downtown. Food was fantastic, cool atmosphere, great value and service was amazing. Tony made sure we were well cared for and even chatted with the kids. We will be back soon for sure. Thanks so much. Vegetarian options: Several tasty veggie options well beyond the standard veggie burger. One of the reasons we keep coming back.

Worst service, they hired people with no experience and not nice . There is different staff on regular basis, I wont be surprised they dont have their smart serve to serve alcohol.

Used to be our go-to place before hitting the club. It s been sometimes now since we went back after they discontinued the calamari and did something with the potato skins. But overall, it s a great place to get food and some booze for the night.

Glad to see some good reviews on here. We had a bad experience tonight....3 of 4 meals were uncooked or incorrect. Raw burger, rice undercooked and another burger had to be sent back due to a.mistske re: allergy request. We paid for the one meal (chicken fingers) and left.

Fantastic find on my vacation! Fascinating spot to hangout with lots to look at. The atmosphere was fun and the pub food was tasty. The waiter and bartender were super friendly and efficient, both with very pleasant attitude.

Louder music like if you didn t have barely space for walking through. Food saturated of flavour, some people would like that I guess. Prices very fair.

What a disaster of a place - it was flooded with sewage water just last week. The staff are rude and ungrateful for good tippers and are a bunch of scaterboys thay have no social skills. If you are a tourist avoid at all costs. Not to mention how mediocre their food and drinks are . Their dj is always in a small cage.This place is joke.

amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, however, on the date i visited (june 23rd, 2024) they were operating the restaurant without a working bathroom and had no food to serve, once we informed staff at the front door that this was illegal, they shrugged and said it s not working so we had to go to another restaurant to use a restroom and to get some food to eat.

Found hair in our food, service was really slow and their music playlist was nothing short of vulgar, not one song without a sexual or foul language reference. Not a good experience.

Another Gem I always make sure I go to when I visit Ottawa. Their food is affordable and delicious. Their burger is now a two patty smashed burger and it is superb.

Nice place, very affordable meal, cocktails and shooters more expensive than some bars in Quebec, but still quite affordable. A relaxed place that I go to every year during Escapade which is good!

To be fair it was on a Friday night and the place was packed. The bartender did her best. Atmosphere is great.

Service was quite slow, the portions of food were very small and the dip tasted like it came from a package. The tacos were very small but the menu did not say bite size. Very disappointed.

5 star, service, food and everything so good and affordable, its a rare find in any place. By the way this place is much better than the ones from the same franchise in Montreal lol. We had the Mushroom Burger, Workers burger and Cajun Chicken sandwich all great, the cocktails were fair as well. The only thing is that the music was too loud making it hard to have a conversation, even worse for a large group like ours, otherwise all good! I love warehouse , usually my go-to place for post work drink or if I want a quick bite . But this time when I visited I was kind of dissapointed , waitress was warm but scattered . It was complicated for her to get through to a demand . Initially asked her to change table for two reasons : Men who were beside me were having a weird conversation and the spot I was in had no sun so I was cold in the attire I was wearing . The table I initially requested ended up being taken , so I kept waiting to see if she d initially seat me elsewhere outside but I had to get up from my table , chase her and remind her so she then explained that I couldn t be seated at a 4 seater table. A few minutes after I seat myself , I had to wait additional time to get my utensils . Also asked her for pepper which took for me to get halfway through my plate , so I got exasperated - when she came back with pepper which she then attempted to run off again before the conversation ended - I asked her for a to-go plate , an extra drink and receipt altogether so I wouldn t have to wait extra time asking for each request seperately . Still gave her a tip despite the annoying wait time because I get that waiting tables isn t always a walk in the park . But this was supposed to be a post-work me-time and ended up being disgruntling .

Had an absolutely lovely afternoon and early dinner experience at the Warehouse! Very impressed with the quality, service and price. Exceeded all my expectations for a casual afternoon break from site seeing. The service from greeting to exit was fantastic, friendly and quick. The cocktail and food quality was exceptional for the price and little extras that greatly added to the food taste and texture were much appreciated. What a most pleasant and wonderful find in the Byward Market area of town!!

We visited twice, around lunch and then from 11pm for late night drinks. The food was prepared quickly and good portion size but not amazing. All drinks we had were tasty, very well priced and fast service from the staff. Would definitely recommend for drinks with friends/a couple.

This is cheapest food in the byward market, there is plenty of choices for food and their Happy hour from 2 to 5 is great price for drinks, a must for visitors.

I had the Beef Dip Au Jus, my friend ordered a vegetarian option, the Crispy Falafel Burger, they were both delicious and unconventional. Loved it. I agree with another reviewer: its not that the service is bad, but I think they are understaffed and servers were a little overwhelmed. We were there on a Saturday afternoon (June 15, 2024).

Why does everything taste like maple syrup? I will stay a fan of Mtl!

Ate at the downtown Ottawa location for the first time tonight! The food and service was so great! I had the General Tao bowl and it was so good, still drooling over it! I gave the review 4 stars only because we went with our young children and friends and their children and the music wasn t ideal (swear words). As well as some of the stickers on the bar. I realize that we are downtown Ottawa and it s not necessarily a restaurant families would tend to go to, which is why I didn t dock too many stars on this review. We will definitely be back! Price was very reasonable as well!

Food was decent enough and came out quick. The place could use a good clean, it felt like a run down university pub. I was a little disappointed, I heard good things when it first opened. Christmas lights, skateboards, Budweiser lights, it could use a decor revamp. Music was good, but too loud for 6pm.

In the heart of Ottawa youll find Warehouse in the middle of the Bywad market area. Had such a great dinning experience, service was fast spinach dip amazing. I got recommended this drink from a server and was such a great decision. Defiantly going back soon. A little price but great music and close parking makes it all worth it. No reservations so when its busy make sure to get there b4 the rush!! Parking: Parked at the parking garage extremely close and cheap Kid-friendliness: Such great customer service, greeted with warm friendly smiles and great recommendations.

By far the best El Furniture Warehouse location I ve been to! The bartenders were really awesome, very funny and excellent customer service. The food and drinks all came quickly and they were extremely entertaining. The food was good, about what you can expect from El Furniture Warehouse. But the service here was on another level!

Me and a group of friends came to warehouse for last minute new years plans, staff was amazing, music was great we had no complaints.

Went on Christmas Day evening and got one bourbon, one scotch and one beer. Then I proceeded to get kicked out because I mentioned to the bartender that I micro-dosed. 10/10 service, did their job as they should.

The food is decent compared to the pricing, tho our chicken caesar wrap had No chicken whatsoever just lettuce and sauce . I ordered three Blue Hawaiian cocktails dint feel or taste any alcohol but also compared to their prices i dint expect much anyways . The waitress too was really grumpy barley looked at us and dint smile once and was pressuring us to leave after we finished our food . But overall experience it was fun just because of the good music !

We loved it! My friend had tacos and I had the green apple salad. The salad was amazing!!!! It had quinoa, and a huge fresh assortment of veggies and a very nice flavouring. Very well done! The drinks were so good. They have little drink specials and open until late. My friend told me the music is always loud so it may be a little difficult to hold a conversation there, but its good music. They dont accept debit at the time only cash and credit.

I come here every week, sometimes twice a week; it s perfect, I d give it a 5/5 but the music is very hit or miss. The music was so loud I woke up with a hoarse voice today and all I had there was one drink and an appetizer before asking for the bill since I couldn t talk to my date over the noise. Food is great and inexpensive, the spicy margaritas never disappoint and the service is so friendly! Music before 8pm is skater vibes for the 90s head and everyone I bring to the Warehouse for dinner understands why it s my go to! The reason for the three stars is because I was recently there in the evening when the music switched over from the day playlist to the DJ and I ve never had to ask for the bill so I can leave because the music is all one genre and so incredibly loud.

We had a fantastic time atWarehouse! The variety of food we tried, including the falafel burger, regular burger, chicken burger, and nachos, was delicious. The atmosphere was great, making our experience even more enjoyable. Mind they look at ID foe entry to the place.

We ll the worst experience ever at a restaurant. I never post anything like this but this was just bad. Really bad. Never go to the Warehouse in the market in Ottawa. The grossest set of bartenders and servers in Ottawa I m sure. They all we re eating behind the bar, wiping their mouths and noses with their hands, not napkins and never washing their hands for the 1hr we were there and in plain sight.I was so pissed and couldn t believe what I was seeing. I wish I would have taken pictures or video but I m old school and didn t even think of it. When I asked him if he was wondering why I didn t tip the bill, he said he didn t care. Forget the Warehouse in the market in Ottawa.

Had an awesome Sunday afternoon on the rooftop patio, the waiter and kitchen were totally awesome and able to make sure I had a fully vegan meal, I had the sweet potato and Bean tacos with a side of chips and guac and salsa it was very tasty. The drinks are fun, the service is good and best of all are the prices! Had two mocktails myself plus the food and my bill was under $17 dollars!

I was there last week with my family! We have been there so many time and really like the food and the vibe. My partner recommended so we went there. It was full at the ground floor so we went to rooftop! We waited there for someone to host us to the table. We waited long and then decided lets just go and sit. Now this young girl all of a sudden comes and tell us to wait at the door! I found it very offensive and we waited there! Then took us to the table. Later we ordered food and it was also less in quantity than what we usually have! Anyways we ate the food and now I asked for the bill, she came and I did not had cash on me so I just gave her 5 bucks and was going to tip her through the machine. Instantly she declined to take the cash and said people pay certain % and showed me the tip amount on the bill, she made me feel so small and cheap infront of my family! I told her first of all I was gonna pay her through the debit the rest which I actually did, I think I tipped her 14 or 15% im not too sure. She printed the bill in french also! Like Why u assumed I speak FRENCH!!! I have never felt so bad! I understand its a stressfull job but please be kind. I am not being racist here but she was a french/white girl and I literally saw she did not stopped anyone else than us to sit by themselves. We literally felt disgusted to be there! Anyhow I tipped her big! Please be kind to people.

I would typically have given 5 stars but the security needs to be more professional in their approach. Visited establishment to get a drink and meal last night, security stops to ask table or bar (which I do not understand the logic behind this as this was not my 1st time there), while blowing cigarette smoke to my face. This place just makes sense. Just enough menu items to pick from without getting frustrated at plethora of options, drinks menu is also on point! 4 different meals that out table ordered all tasted amazing! Employee that was serving us was also awesome! We chatted with her, made jokes and she was just overall an amazing host! Also, their dish sizes aren t massive, but they are just the right size for an average adult. But also all of it was so cheap!!!! Definitely see why this place is so popular!

Food isn t very good. The kind of leftovers you take home and don t eat. They also only take cash or credit but don t advertise that. I m a bit younger and only got a credit card the day before I ate here so I got super lucky. They do have a atm but I m sure it charges a fortune to withdraw cash.

Phenomenal atmosphere and service. The food is delicious and cheap, and overall the place is awesome. Drinks are on the pricier side which makes sense as it s right down in byward market, but the food prices makes up for it. You d think that the food would be bad considering the price, but you d be thinking wrong. The artichoke dip is my favourite, and their honey garlic wings come a close second. Our waiter was always checking up on us, but not in a way that felt rushed. He was super friendly and overall make the night enjoyable. Definitely will be going back

Yesterday, Saturday, December 2, I went to this place, the atmosphere is good, the food could be said to be good compared to its price. What seemed extremely abusive to me is that without asking, they add tips 18% which increased my payable account by 98CAD. I did not realize this because the actions had been taken by the person who gave me the terminal to which I I proceeded to pay only believing that the amount that appeared on the bill that the girl had given me would be the amount to pay only. Only because of this action will I have more distrust when paying with card

Place is bumping..great service and atmosphere

Prices have gone up a decent amount, I guess it s understandable given inflation but still quite disappointing to see. What used to be a bumping weekend spot is now very quiet, and the service leaves a lot to be desired. Not sure if I ll come back. Also nachos were burned. Sad, because this used to be one of my favourite spots.
