Sunrise omelette (with Kale, feta, tomato and onions) is the best breakfast! Great service and good food, with crispy potatoes. Only feedback is to use real avocados instead of the guac paste -you can taste the difference.
A hotel restaurant with some good atmosphere, great service, but an average experience with food that looks amazing but the taste didn't live up to the looks. I had the pumpkin soup to start and I love the way it was presented and that I had to pour the soup over the sour cream and bacon. Unfortunately it was under seasoned and I had to add a lot of pepper and salt. Main was the lamb, which again was presented beautifully. The lamb was cooked just right and was perfectly tender, but it was also under seasoned. The supporting vegetables were under seasoned and undercooked, especially the potatos. Its a real shame because the food looks incredible. I probably wouldn't have gone to so much detail if this was a cheap meal, but it was quite pricey to be having issues with under seasoning and undercooking. Overall I had a good experience.
Our experience at the restaurant was incredibly disappointing. We were a group of 13, and to our surprise, the restaurant demanded a single bill, a detail that was never mentioned when we made the reservation. When we pointed out that this requirement wasn't in the original booking conditions, which included an 18% tip and a $25 charge for each absent person, the manager's response was shockingly rude. He insolently informed us that he would bill us individually and that the time it might take was not his concern. Following this, our server also adopted an extremely haughty attitude. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and marred what could have been a pleasant dining experience.
This little main floor coffee bar and restaurant is adorable, modern and pleasant! Great staff! Our Barista suggested a butterscotch liquor with our Oat Latte.. which was amazing.. nice spot to people watch! They have all milk alternatives ..the hotel lobby is comfy and modern.. keeps up with the Hyatt Brand✅Pleasantly surprised! Our breakfast was amazing ! Fresh and fast ! We had amazing server who has recently relocated from Ukraine .. fast and efficient and very friendly . She had some great suggestions from the menu! So nice to have a great restaurant downstairs from our room.
I had my birthday dinner here, and let me start off by saying overall it was an amazing night. The management team, was one of the nicest teams I’ve met. Especially the supervisor Val, she did so many little last minute arrangement for me right on the spot and made sure I had no extra charges on anything for my needs. The menu is a huge variety of dinner items, it’s not exclusive to one cuisine. My friends got pizza and it was actually huge for an individual portion. It tasted even better than it looked! The prices and portion are WAYYY BETTER compared to other restaurants serving the same food. The food wait time was a little long, but we were able to see the chefs working hard in the kitchen since we can see them cooking while seated. Overall I do recommend if you want fine dining for good pricing!
Feast and Revel was amazing. The staff was super attentive, got some of the best I've ever had and the place was super clean. The executive chef came out to great us and suggested dishes to go with the bottle of Pinot Noir we ordered and it was just perfect. Will definitely go back. The prices were way lower than my expectations too. Stayed over at the Andaz Hotel and went back for breakfast and lunch.
I've been here a few times. It's definitely a very nice restaurant in Ottawa using the freshest ingredients. I went in the first week of opening a few years ago, and the chef came out to say hi when we ordered dessert and that was really cool. I would say it's worth going for a special occasion such as an anniversary or birthday. We enjoyed our time and meal here. We left very full, so it was well worth the price! I would also recommending checking out the bar upstairs.
Came here for a birthday. Large groups may be difficult to accommodate without having to be seated at separate tables (ergonomics of venue). I believe I heard a table of 12 would be largest they go. Service was great. Food was great. Menu is straight forward. Meatball starter was excellent. The steak I had was a bit chewy (strip of fat), it was still very tasty. Drink menu has a lot of varieties. The bartender will bring the drinks directly to the table. I enjoyed the Dominion City Earl Grey Marmalade Saison they had on tap. If you want, they also offer free valet parking (tip the drivers if you can). This location being part of the Andaz Hotel, there's also a night club at the top floor. It also has a balcony area. It's an all in one location!
Beef and coconut soup was soooo good!
Great guest service and good foods
horrible service at the restaurant, lack of training visible in service staff, unconcerned, lack of empathy and rude
French onion soup made with bread and cheese slices!!! Overcooked Benedict eggs and fruit in bad shape. Sometimes if doesn t count with the proper products it is better to cancel the order. Food : 1/5
We reserved for a birthday party dinner for 25 people on May 29th and had a wonderful party. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the friendly staff- shoutout for Gabriel, Denise and Mariam- contributed to a fantastic outing. Thanks also to Jillian, the manager, who made it all happen. All our friends were very pleased with the quality of their meal and the friendly service. Thanks so much for a very special evening.
Very nice menu for December 24.
We just had NYE dinner there. Service was polite.. but rushed. Restaurant was empty.. perhaps 4 other tables sat. Our food was rather disappointing and certainly not worth the NYE premium. The fire alarm went off for half our dinner, which honestly livened the place up a bit. We will not be returning.
Was on the restaurant for 2 hours and never got our mains delivered even after multiple interaction with different servers. We were a party of 2 and the restaurant was not busy. We did pay $122 for our drinks and appetizers. Just brutal service on a Saturday evening. Will never go back, will definitely let everyone know about the poor experience and absolutely not recommend this restaurant.
** Food Poisoning ** I dined at this restaurant with my three children. We ordered our food pretty quickly as I had hungry children and it was getting later in the evening. The waiter was very kind and said it was going to be a while and offered to bring some extra fries to our table to keep them busy. A hour later our food finally comes and the burger at what I could describe as muscle ( not fat ) in it and was inedible. My small children couldn t chew it with their teeth. My almost 1 old and I had your fish and chips , as she is tiny and cannot eat most things so I thought the fish would be soft enough for her to eat. He never came back to offer refills on drinks , or water , or if we liked the food, it s like he disappeared ! My baby and I ended up violently ill 3 hours after eating half the plate. I was throwing up till my stomach was empty and my poor baby was crying most of the night and had extremely bad bowel movements all day today. I don t take my children out to restaurants very often and this really put a sour taste in my mouth about doing this again. I was charged 89$ for 2 burgers / 1 fish and chips / and 2 apple juice. Plus tip ! This is absurd. this is poor service and awful food. Please do better
Excellent hugh high quality ingredients
The sunrise omelet and coffee were exceptionally good here Very polite staff
A group of friends who had often eaten at Feast and Revel pre-pandemic returned for a meal last Friday evening. The food and service was ok, but my main comment is about the pricing on their wine list. I ordered a glass of the Vina Pomal Rioja, but they didnt have it and instead poured a Monticello Crianza. When I asked if the glasses would be the same price, as I know the Monticello is a cheaper wine, they said yes, the glass and bottle price would be the same as for the Vina Pomal - $17/glass and $80/bottle That led me to a quick Google search, which confirmed that the Vina Pomal costs $23 a bottle, a pretty steep 350% markup. The Monticello is $16.10/bottle for an atrocious 500% markup. I tried reaching the restaurant management two times to discuss this, but it is impossible and they didnt respond to the message I left. It will be a long time before I (and I suspect our group of friends) returns to this restaurant.
Definitely a must visit place if you are in the Bayward market area.
I spent my birthday weekend in Ottawa and while staying at the Andaz we went downstairs for dinner. Our server (shout out to Gabby) was kind and attentive, checked in on us but wasn t pushy and created the ambiance that I wanted. Hearing it was my birthday I received a complimentary drink garnished with a beautiful orchid blossom. For our appetizer-we had the honey garlic chicken wings, they were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with the best honey garlic sauce I ve had (husbands direct words and he LOVES some chicken wings) For his dinner, he had the fish and chips. They were lightly battered just enough to have a crunch but still enjoy the fish and not feel heavy. The fries were crispy outside and fluffy inside. For my dinner-I absolutely LOVED the seafood linguine. The pasta was cooked perfectly with a velvety lobster cream sauce; the seafood done just right and perfectly balanced. Valerie, the supervisor was also attentive to the staff and guests and it appeared to run really smoothly. We had a wonderful time, so much so, we were back for breakfast the next day!
Service and atmosphere were great but unfortunately found a fruit fly on my roasted potatoes. They did replace it, but dont think I will be coming back again.
The feast and Revel was an amazing experience for my family and I. We ve now been several times even without staying downtown in hotels. It s become a spot we truly enjoy going to every couple of weeks. The atmosphere and service is exceptional with delicious food.
The food was fine but the service ...
My recent visit to Feast and Revel was marred by a lackluster service experience. From the start, the staffs inattentiveness was apparent, and the lukewarm, uninspiring food didnt help matters. The overall feeling was one of being unwelcome. I hope for improved service in the future.
Our visite at feast+revel was completely disappointing. We booked for a group of 13 people and when booking we were informed that there would be an 18% tip included which is normal. However, when paying, the waitress Noura wants us to have a single bill or a maximum of 2 even though this was not mentioned when booking. The manager Carlos came and his behaviour was appalling. the manager was rude and dismissive. We felt disrespected and unappreciated as customers. We wont be returning, and I strongly recommend others to think twice before dining here.
Came to this restaurant to have a dinner after checking in. Tasty food, great atmosphere and absolutely amazing cocktails!
Good place for a pretty and delicious breakfast.
A beautiful restaurant located on the ground floor of the Andaz. Lots of windows for natural light and comfortable seating. The food tasted good - we went for brunch - and the service was friendly. There was something wrong with one of the plates and our server was quick to get it replaced and very apologetic even though she wasnt at fault. Ill be returning!
Great place for brunch
This is a review for their americano. Super watered down, probably less than one shot for a 16oz cup. Tasted like water with a (very) subtle hint of coffee. Costs $4.50.
Avoid the breakfast - Stale and tasteless food. Substandard quality/ingredients.
Food it s great + staff is very friendly I am highly recommend this restaurant
Restaurant is attached to an equally disappointing hotel. Food was bland and tasteless. Eggs for the eggs benny were overcooked. Order came out luke warm after waiting too long anyways.
Perfect for a quick date night spot!
Very disappointing dining experience. Walking in the door started the wait and bad service. I cant fully express how poor the service was, from sitting with empty drinks (both alcoholic and water), not being checked on until we finished eating, served a full glass of wine that was bad, the bottle was emptied into the glass, not sure if it was old or just not a good bottle, but she didnt stick around to ask or ever check back. It wasnt the slowest in terms of food being prepared, but there were only 2 other tables when we were there at 6:30 on a Saturday, and not having any drinks to pass the time made the wait feel longer. Food: Beef tenderloin was good, as was the potato it was served with, the rest of the plate was under seasoned and just overall poor. Roast chicken and pureed potatoes were okay, rest of the vegetables were poor. Prices are high considering the overall experience, many other places in town where you will get better food, drinks and service.
The restaurant refused to honour the reservation despite sending a confirmation. They claimed they were too short staffed to notify us that the reservation could not be honoured. No effort was made to address the situation. We had to find another restaurant at the last minute for a birthday gathering. This restaurant is not to be trusted as management is clearly incompetent.
Unreliable. Made a reservation for two people at 12:00 PM and when we showed up we were refused because the restaurant was closing . Would highly recommend against using their online reservation system. Call instead to avoid wasting your time.
I was with a group of people who had made a reso for Sunday breakfast and they did not honour the reso. We ended up going elsewhere. Bad form.
Had a great time there. Loved everything we tried there!
Ideally located in the hotel, this restaurant offers a menu that will satisfy all tastes. Vegetable curry excellent for vegetarians, short reebs if your preference is more for meats. The Cesar salad is delicious, but the portion is a little lacking in generosity for the price. Overall a great experience in an up-to-date setting, courteous service.
Noce hotel restaurant. Great array of breakfast options drom decadent to healthy.
Breakfast at Andaz is very good. The menu does not offer anything very original, however the dishes are well executed and nicely presented. The hot chocolate is also very good, quite light but still chocolatey. However, the wait was very long for the order to be taken and then the food to be served.
Nice looking place with good staff but beware they have changed the menu and its not as advertised
Went for breakfast with wife, it s quite place and really hidden gym in byword market. Food quality is good and perfection done Coffee was good espresso was ok but it could be better . Overall I recommend it
Polite staff. Breakfast food was over priced and bland. We ordered medium eggs on 2 dishes. One dish came out easy the other came out well. The staff compensated us for the incorrect order thus the 2 stars.
Good restaurant. Not much choice on the menu.
We went for brunch here. The food was very good quality and very tasty. Service was outstanding.
Large groups cant be handled
Beautiful views but very pricey.
Food quality was very good, but some curious choices to try to make things unique (I assume), were perhaps slightly dubious. Worth trying for yourself. Bar was spot on, and decently priced.
Booked a table for dinner for 10PM with my family. Showed up and was told the kitchen was closed and that we had to go upstairs to the lounge. The lounge upstairs confirmed that the reservation was for the restaurant downstairs and told us she had nowhere for us to sit anyways. We went back downstairs only to be told they wouldn t serve us food and they wouldn t seat us. We showed them their reservation slots online and they were still taking reservations until 10:45 that night. Overall terrible experience, awful customer service.
Valentine s Day set menu. A group of us attended for a nice meal at $89.00 each. We found it tough to get a drink at the start but near the end of the meal they were right on the ball. The reason for the rating is definitely to do with food quality. Their set menu soups were a Lobster bisque and a mushroom soup. We found them both basically in edible. I notified the one waiter but heard no more regarding the issue. The salad course was tasty and everyone liked that round. The main course I ordered the steak. I found it was a poor cut. They suggested it be served medium but mine was definitely rare. Which is fine but did not help quality of the meat. I felt we over paid for the quality of food served and regret our decision.
Tastea menu and a nice clean environment variety could be up to bit but a parking lot a good place to go grab a tasty meal
Good food and cosy place to have dinner with a date or good friends. The menu is not so big but the chef can accommodate your needs.
Nice place for Sunday brunch.
Good customer service
My favourite place for ceviche! <3
Ordered avocado toast. I requested a poached eggs, but it came with a rubbery fried egg. I have never seen a fried egg served on toast like that before. Impressively bland. Swing and miss.
Good
Food was great, atmosphere is very relaxing, friendly staff!
Small but delicious food portions best paired with red wine or white depending on preference and what is served...but very nice service and be punctual as good reservation is needed in order to get in...as its a busy spot in town ! Enjoy !
Never been here
Breakfast was a bit disappointing.
It s our third time staying at Andaz hotel and we are so pleased that this restaurant is operating in their establishment. First they have an in house baker that makes REAL true fresh croissant and sourdough bread. Not once have I disliked a meal ordered there. The cod plate was so fresh and delicious. The mocktails are outstanding. The soups creatives. The breakfasts are also delicious and the staff is professional and friendly.
Nice
Ordered a bottle of wine was nowhere close to bold and dry, if anything it only lingered in my mouth as a hint for seconds. Then waited for an hour for our dinner to only receive a bland and watered down Fettuccini. The lack of taste, the fact the sauce was water, and no spoon was provide. I didnt order tasteless soup with hairs of pasta.
Its been a while we were there, but I still remember the bbq duck wings with kohlrabi slaw as some of the best food Ive ever had.
Warm place
Lovely staff and tasty food.
Great food
Food was really good but disappointed with service.
Loved the easter brunch. Service was good too. Would visit again!
Good food
Great lobby bar with knowledgeable bartenders. Cocktails are refined and delicious.
1 star for the friendly staff. 1 star for the ambiance. 1 star for the latte. The rest is very disppointing. We used to love this place but it seems like the quality and presentation of their food has gone down. Disappointed with their traditional breakfast..nothing but basic, cant even present the eggs well. Ham is dry. We used to like this place because they do take reservation but then I realized they take reservations because its not like they are packed! When its not packed nor busy on a day like today, fathers day, you know what it means. I hate giving reviews like this but if Im paying $$$ cmon make some good food. Otherwise be reasonable with your pricing.
When we came here I did not have any expectations, so I looked at the Google reviews. I am happy to say that the food was excellent, the cocktails tasty. Perhaps it has improved more recently but the service was great as well.
Food was great. Service was excellent. Will definately be back.
Not bad for a included breakfast buffet!
Prices do not reflect the quality or atmosphere, stick with the rooftop bar.
It was ok. May go again
We went for happy hour, staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The ambiance is warm and inviting.
Good service good break fast
Hostess was rude and seemed annoyed when we asked about moving tables (She didnt let us move - said all tables were reserved but there were a few that sat empty the whole time we were there). We were seated in the middle of the room at a table that was too big for our party - it wasnt intimate or cozy. Room was cold as well but the server did say the hotel was working on the heat. Server was friendly but the busser refilling was grumpy (and spilt water all over the table when refilling our glasses and never returned to wipe up the mess!) . The food was alright - I was expecting more with the pork belly, the flavours were bland and nothing special. The fettuccine was delicious though. Overall, I was disappointed and would not go again or recommend. Washrooms were also a mess!
I love this place so much! I know youre going to love this place to so bring the family and all your friends and enjoy this place to the full extent. Youre going to encounter all kinds of great people here and youre going to have a very very fun time!
Nice small hotel restaurant. Interesting food. Friendly service.
Great happy hour. Lovely vegetarian burger but get ready because it s huge! Love the staff and vibe of this place. Also amazing cup of coffee with croissants in the morning. Reasonably priced and delicious. Sunny and just feels good to be here.
Nice meal, nice place, nice service!
The brunch here is incredible and one of the best in the city. All I can say is try one of their things on toast mmm
Great restaurant within the Anzanz hotel. Food was great, along with the service, and the prices were reasonable.
The duck wings were amazing, but the portions were small and the ravioli did not meet my expectations. I got 4 raviolis for around $22. The service was great, but I would not recommend this restaurant for those looking for good meal for a reasonable price.
Awesome place
Food was fantastic! My daughter and husband got the steak! I got the ravioli and my other daughter got the Chicken Cobb salad! All were wonderful! We also had the duck wings which were unlike any other. The strawberry cheesecake is also great! Theresa was very friendly and greeted us very kindly and our server Sarah was excellent! We had a lovely time and would be happy to come back!
Just ok. Starter only.
Creative menu, wonderful dishes, easy elegance for tourists or dinner with friends.
Brand new Hotel in Ottawa Ontario Canada, trendy place. Enjoyable all round.
Went for the happy hour, despite there only being three tables to serve the service was very slow - had to sit and wait for a while to order and was not offered another drink after. Considered ordering food but given the service left after the one drink.
Great food, although it took literally six phone calls and two emails to make a reservation greater than 10.
Great service and creative dishes.
Slow and poor service. Breakfast was cold and eggs werent cooked
I had duck confit, it was the worst restaurant food ever. McDonalds Big Mac combo is less greasy.
Excellent food in a beautiful setting. The build your own gin and tonic menu was a wonderful addition.
Great service and even better food.
Innovative food by a chef thats incredibly excited about local products. Great service - really professional but friendly. Modern decor. Topped off with a strong wine and cocktail list, and you have one of the best restaurants in the Byward Market.
Great decor, food and ambiance!
I took octopussteakand ice coffee. Octopus came with broccoli: the octopus was roasted which tastes good, but broccoli taste like the frozen broccoli which you can buy in markets. The steak came with an entire roasted potato, which had been already cut in piece, taste dry; the steak is different from which you can order in Keg. I order for rare cook, which was a little bit over than rare but it is still OK, but the steak tastes too salty for me. For the ice coffee, which I dont remember its full name but it is located at the end of the coffee menu. It is too sweet to taste coffee, i wont recommend this product to people who like coffee, but it is a fantastic beverage for summer time. The restaurant was designed in modern and had casual environment, which is a good place for casual chatting and solo dining. Will return.
This place is for the inta popular crowd. Highly pretentious and rather subpar service. During the reservation it was mentioned that its a birthday and server couldnt be bothered to bring something for the birthday boy. The rooftop bar was out of most of the single malt on their menu. $32 for scotch and a soda. NOT worth the outrageous price. Very disappointed.
Rooftop lovely, but slow wait for menus- waited 15 minutes for the menu and then the waitress left before we could ask about anything. Finally we order the beet hummus and saumon tartare. The food looked super fresh, but we had to wait 20 minutes and not even a glass of water while we wait or something to snack on like bread?? The top floor you can not order bread? how off. My beet hummus platter was just chopped vegetable like cucumber cut too big, carrots sliced in half, radishes swimming in butter. Yet no bread of pita comes with something you call hummus. I will probably go back for a drink, but since the menu is strangely organized and to get a soup and bread you have to go back to the other restaurant, I think just going for drinks here is good. *Looking back at the menu it mentions the crudite platter has smoked carrots? Im sure mine were just the regular carrots sliced in half (I have smoked vegetables before,so know how they should be). Avocado was missing from the plate, smashed cucumbers-I do not get, we got some oversized cucumber logs-they were not smashed or seasoned. Radishes in butter is ok, but usually that is served with bread of crackers. This dish was allright, but really needs more work.
Ignorant customer service and poor food offerings. Food tastes very mediocre. Pass at all costs, there are some great restaurant right across the street.
Service wasnt great. Food was even worse. Why would you serve food on a cold skillet? Definitely not worth the price that was paid.
We managed to get a table for 6 on a Saturday night. Cool and creative cocktails and the hostess was very outgoing and friendly. We shared the poutine and lamb poutine and the elk on beaver dough. Small portions but good flavour. Four of us shared the Duck for 4 which was excellent value at $75 for the amount of protein in the dish. My only suggestion is that the cast iron pan that the dish is served in should be warmed before service. It was enough food for all four of us and the presentation was great. The atmosphere was just ok, I cant tell if the music was turned way down or off but it was quiet in there.
Went in as a small group for lunch, and what a disaster. Food wise, the orange obsessed chef decided everything should come sickly sweet, served at room temperature, and decidedly off-timed. Be prepared to receive your meal at any time, instead of at the same time as your guests, and only order the fish or lamb if food poisoning is your thing. The staff here are horrendously disorganized, and the chef needs to step away from the sweet ingredients. As a bonus tip, $150 for a Canadian wine that is $20 in the lcbo is criminal. But this is fine dining, right?
Located in the Andaz Hotel, awesome staff and food. Get a group or 6 or 8 together and order the Tritip Beef or Open Sky Chicken - served family style.
