Manor Lounge in Ottawa

An excellent place to go for a late night bite & drinks w/ friends! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food hit the spot & man do they know how to make a bangin spicy mango margarita. Special shoutout to Noah, hes a top knotch server, who make anyones experience just that much better! He is extremely friendly and charismatic, make great reccomendations and treats you as if he has known you forever!

TL;DR: Long wait for an underwhelming meal. NOTE: this review only applies to the brunch menu. My partner and I love manor lounge for their escape rooms and as a bar in the evenings. Brunch, on the other hand, was pretty disappointing. We walked in because there wasnt any line, so we assumed the service would be pretty quick. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting quite a while for the food. Once it arrived, the food was pretty underwhelming. One plate was missing the biscuit promised on menu. Upon receiving the meal we asked the waiter about this and were brought toast, which was fine. One of the eggs in the eggs benny was overcooked, basically hard boiled. The potatoes, which on the menu are described as smashed, were essentially just boiled and fried whole (closer to a baked potato - again, this is fine, but just not as advertised). We would have been happy to mention all this to the waiter ourselves, but at no point did he actually ask how the food was. Overall, wont be going back for brunch, but would definitely go back for evening activities.

We have such a great time here every Trivia Tuesday. Food has overall been really good, and I enjoy the Nickel Brook beers they have on tap. Weve also done the escape rooms which are really fun, and plenty of other great games. Vegetarian options: Two great options for mains: Korean BBQ tofu, and a chickpea bowl. Also love the cauliflower wings. Many meat options can be swapped out with a vegetarian/vegan option too.

Absolute best trivia in the city hosted by the amazing Brendan! The staff are so fun and welcoming and the escape rooms are incredibly well thought out and immersive! Favourite spot in the city by far! We love stopping by every week!

This is definitely one of the best spots in Ottawa! The food is absolutely delicious, the service is fantastic, including concierge that is so friendly and helpful, and so much fun with escape rooms and games. We are already planning our next night back.

I have hosted a few socials here and its been great. There is a lot of space, you can have food/drinks and play games at the lounge! Its probably one of the better hangout spots in the area. Food

The Manor Lounge on Elgin is the best place to be on Tuesday nights. Trivia is hosted by the loveliest Brendan, accompanied by warm and friendly staff (kudos to Jaden) who contribute to a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. From escape rooms to darts, board games and more, they make it impossible to want to leave! Never met more welcoming management and team who treat you like friends when you walk through the door. A true treat every time. Thank you Brendan and team, it s the highlight of our week!

Just hosted a corporate event at Manor Lounge and it was an incredible experience. Brendan was such a great host, with amazing attention to detail. The whole staff was so attentive and went above and beyond in their efforts to make the event as special as possible for my client. We went there for a dinner with our 2 children (3 and 6) and we had such a lovely time! The food is incredible, very tastefull (especially the bruschetta ;), lots of good choice, good variety, vegan option, decent price not too expensive. The kids had a blast, theres bunch of board game they can use and also babyfoot table, tic tac toe, connect 4, etc. We were able to enjoy and relax while the kids were playing. We had a lovely server and the manager was onsite making sure everything was ok. Great experience overall really recommend it, for family and even date night to play dart, you have to check it out ;)

I recently visited this venue with a large group and we had an overall enjoyable experience though there were a few major issues. We started with the escape rooms, which were an absolute blast. They were engaging and a great experience for everyone. Afterward, we enjoyed dinner, which was pretty good nothing extraordinary but satisfying. Then wrapped up the night with electric darts games, which were a fun. My experience took a disappointing turn when I discovered that my non-alcoholic cocktails were charged at the same price as the alcoholic ones. This felt like a blatant attempt to take advantage of non-drinkers and it left a sour taste in my mouth. Charging the same for a drink that doesnt contain alcohol felt quite greedy. As a result despite the fun we had, I cant see myself supporting this business again.

Went for brunch. They took over an hour to get our food out so we had to ask for it to go since we had to get somewhere after. Then part of our order was wrong. I don t know about the food since I didn t get my order but the service was terrible.

It was so awful! It wasnt even busy and it took over 30 minutes for someone to come to the table just to get water. It took roughly 1 hour for the waiter to come take our order. We had brunch and it was by far the worst tasting eggs Benny Ive ever had, it tasted like I was drinking a cup of vinegar. The escape room itself was decent. Just dont eat there!!

Brunch YIKES! First off, I wanna say that this only relates to the brunch. I went in with a friend on the weekend of the army run, and I have to say that we were sorely disappointed. The server mentioned that they were running a little behind, but we waited over an hour for the server to come see us (one wonderful lady sadly working 15 tables). Once we were able to finally order our food, things did not get much better. In retrospect, we should have left long before this. But we saw some pretty promising things on the menu, which compelled us to stay. The food was really not something to write home about. The homemade biscuit was just a run of the mill English muffin and the coffee was mid at best. Our real shock was when we went to go pay our bill. It had been 25 minutes since the server had taken our plates and so we went in to pay the bill ourselves. When we got inside, the manager told us to go back to our seats and wait until their server came. I was really really shocked. I am certain that it isn t like this every day, but I was really not impressed and I don t think I ll go back again.

The menu looked good on the website, so we made a dinner reservation for a Saturday evening date night. When we arrived, the place was not full by any stretch of the imagination. We were taken to a table, except that the host whispered something in the servers ear about expecting a large party, so they moved us to a high top. A high top? There were many empty tables and we were moved to a high top. We wanted a real table. Add to that the strong aroma of marijuana everywhere. We have no problem with MJ whatsoever, but we would like to be able to smell our food. The aroma was pretty distracting. We walked out. Very disappointed.

Had so much fun! It was Trivia Night and we finished 3rd! Food was great. Atmosphere was terrific. Service fantastic. Special shoutout to Brendan Finnerty - made the evening so much fun.

Great concept combining restaurant, dart, escape room and boardgames. We enjoyed oue time. Food is ok, pub quality but the ambience and people are friendly. Recommend visiting.

We went for the escape rooms and what an experience it was! We loved it. We will return. After trying to escape our room , we headed to their games room. WoW! Boccee, Darts , shuffle board, foosball other games and many board games too. This place is amazing, great concept. Service

Service was probably the worst I ve ever had. Not busy and all servers were busy on their phone instead of doing their job. Food was not good boxed Mac and cheese was better than what they were serving.

My absolute favorite bar to come to on Elgin Street, the staff are friendly and accommodating, the drinks are amazing, and the owner comes in and DJs regularly to make sure all of his guests are having a fantastic night! An absolute gem for Ottawa.

I do not recommend this place for dine in. Disappointing for it being my first time there. The activities are fun we did darts this evening and that was a very cool concept with the different dart game options. The major downfall of this evening was the service and the food. A member from our group had to get the waitress every time we wanted a drink(our drinks sat at the bar for 5 mins before reaching our table), had to ask the server multiple times for cutlery and water, and the server never came around and checked if the food was good (quality check). This wasn t even during the dinner rush!! The food was okay I had the Mac n cheese skillet and it was very bland, and the salad was drenched in the dressing. I will not be back for anything that requires service, I may be back for the activities. FYI - I was in the service industry for 6 years and this would have NEVER been okay where I worked. I understand slow service if it was busy it was not, and our server was on her phone half of the time. I have never experienced worse service.

Great place for escape rooms but the food was severely undercooked and overpriced for the quality you get. I luckily didn t eat much of meal but my friend ending up throwing up her meal about an hour later.

I had a rather unpleasant experience to say the least, HOWEVER, when I explained the situation that caused my displeasure, the manager was more than happy to work with me on finding a solution that my group was happy with.

This is a bit of a late review but my friends and I were walking by during a bachelorette and was greeted by one of the staff opening the front door for the night, right away they were so funny, welcoming and overall great vibes. Throughout the night they were making suggestions for drinks, joking with us and making sure we were having a good time. The drinks were amazing, they have a great selection of games and the fries were really good. I d highly recommend going with friends

Good food, excellent service and a great variety of games. Tried my first escape room and we were challenged. Enjoyed it immensely. Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian and vegan options.

I loved my salmon poke bol and the beer special until 6 pm. Enjoyed myself and had a great time with friends and family.

Absolute blast that we came back 2 times in 24 hours. Did the winemaker and death row experience. Our escape master was so kind and helpful when we needed a little clue.

Amazing staff, especially when they take you to the rooms. The drinks are amazing, unique and top quality. The rooms are perfect, some easy for beginners and a few very hard ones to challenge you.

2 weeks ago we were here for the capital music awards afterparty and the staff were amazing. couldn t have asked for better folks, thank you brendan laura and maddie you guys deserve a million dollars each

My wife and I went there today for brunch. We both had an egg dish. Both were excellent in regards to presentation, taste, portion size and value. One very great feature of this place is there were many substitutions available that came with no extra charge.

Great place for events for a small team. We tried their darts, underestimated the game only for all of us to have a good laugh at our own expense. Friendly team, decent food (mostly pub style - fries, burgers) and drinks.

Flight 69 and drinks at the lounge. Started the night with some cocktails at the lounge. Staff was super friendly! Cocktails were a little pricy but very good! Unfortunately the service was super slow. It took 20 mins to get 4 cocktails.The slow service continued though out the night and a member in our group waited 25 mins for a beer on tap. The lounge was very nice, they had board games and dart games which we enjoyed. We did the flight 69 escape room which is definitely not safe for work, but good for a laugh with friends! The room it self is super easy. We had many beginners in our group and escaped in 25 mins. A little disappointed that we paid $35 each for such a short experience.

Great atmosphere. The lack of support for the games for a bigger group and malfunctioning darts was disappointing. Food was meh and slow. The team feedback 20+ people was mild negative.

Easily the best place to go to have a drink on Elgin, Good atmosphere. Cool games, upbeat live DJ, this place should be patronized even more than it is. Its really worth checking out. Nothing but positive vibrations.

We had a great time at the lounge for dinner. The server was kind but not that knowledgeable of anything on the menu but could have been new so not going to let that effect my rating as the food was great, the environment was awesome and overall had a wonderful time.

Came here to play darts with friends - the servers never came to us even once. They seemed short-staffed so thought nothing of it, til when we went to settle up and the server asked us for a few minutes...then 10 minutes later took at seat at the bar and proceeded to start chatting up friends or patrons (who knows). Had to ask again to pay - though in retrospect maybe should have just walked - and got some weird vibe before they had another bartender cash us out. Hey, every bar has a night off, right? Went back a week or so later and once again, after being shown to our darts board, the servers never came to us - not even once. When we went to get a refill, the bartender asked how things were going - we mentioned the board was warped and it wasnt even scoring things properly, and they just kind of laughed it off, no offer of a refund or a fix - seemed like a manager or owner(?) was sitting at the bar on his phone, and also did nothing. Guys, were paying $7 a head to play - the gear should work. Not sure how this place has so many positive reviews - nice vibe but 2/2 times it was laughable how poor the service was. I want to like this place but at this point theres not much to like. Go if you want, but dont expect anything resembling service if you do.

Awesome place, thoroughly enjoy it every time I come, Great staff that are friendly and attentive. Plenty of awesome and delicious food and drink options. Many ways to keep entertained from darts, cards, jenga to the awesome escape rooms.

Worst experience of my life. The service was very bad. The orders took forever, the waiters were inconsiderate. We had to wait 1 hour 30 for the bill, with no explanation of the situation.

Absolutely horrible experience. The service was super slow through the night, we were okay with it as we had an escape room booked. Once done with the room, we were ready to move on and continue our night. It took them almost an hour and half to give us our bills, no warning, no updates, no apologies. Wasted our time even tho they had the chance to fix their problems while we spent and hour in escape rooms. The whole experience is extremely underwhelming, basic basic food experience , overpriced darts and game areas with ripped carpeting. Do your escape room and leave , not worth to spend time in the lounge

Went for lunch with a friend had a pasta dish and a cocktail. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Loved all the game options in the lounge, from darts to bocci ball to board games and I look forward to trying an escape room downstairs! Will definitely be back!

Really cool spot in a great location on Elgin! We went on a gorgeous afternoon and it was nice to sit by the open windows and people watch Great vibe and so many games to grab and play. We didn t get the chance to play Darts Reimagined or bocce, but we will certainly be back! Staff were really sweet and friendly, with lots of knowledge about the great drink and food menu. Will be coming back for sure!

Amazing experience at Manor Lounge with our friends. Unfortunately, we didnt escape from The Illusionist escape room. The staff were all very welcoming and went above and beyond. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Went today for a work lunch, the food was amazing but the cocktail was the issue. I ordered the Summer Heat (non-alcoholic cucumber gin, jalapeno simple syrup, lime juice, cucumber) when I got it and took a sip it tasted like pineapple juice. I asked the waiter to ask the bartender what they put in the drink. They came back and informed me they had run out of the non-alcoholic cucumber gin and subbed it with pineapple juice. I strongly dislike pineapple and was given a replacement cocktail for free. But this is incredibly foolish and frankly dangerous to be subbing out ingredients without talking to the customer first. If I had been allergic this could have been a very big issue. Edit: Manor lounge replied to this asking me to send an email, which I did, with no response. Theyre clearly not interested in resolving anything.

Didnt enjoy the Wine Maker escape room

My whole experience was great. The escape room was so much fun. Its a great place to go with friends and family.

I came to dinner with 2 friends, upon entering we were placed in a corner of the tables where we did not feel comfortable, we requested to be moved and they refused to move us to another table even though there were tables available. I ordered steak frites, but the meat came burnt. The waiter never came back to assist me in requesting a replacement. We ordered 1 mojito and 2 margaritas; they came super loaded with liquor, so much so that we couldnt even drink them. One of the waiters came and asked us, What did we expect from the table? I mentioned that we were already finishing up, and he had a rude and humiliating attitude. Poor service and attention, 1000% disappointed with this place. Hit up Manor Lounge on a double date for their Death Row escape room, and it didnt disappoint! Great mix of brain teasers and fun, perfect for a night out. The service was excellent, and there s plenty to do afterwards darts, bocce, you name it. Its an all-in-one spot for a memorable evening in Ottawa. Definitely worth checking out!

Went there one Saturday night with a reservation and it took talking to three different servers to get someone to take a drink order. 30 mins later someone stopped by, then we went to play darts and it was another 15 minutes until we got our drinks brought to us. I can t stress this enough, the absolute worst Moscow Mule I ve ever had. For the rest of the night we had 0 service, until we went to pay our bills at the bar. Maybe they have new staff or they were overwhelmed that night but I wouldn t recommend going on a weekend.

We went to the manner for an event. We were there for over 15 min, and no one had come to our table to greet us or take our drink order. Finally I went in search of someone. I found a bartender who helped us out. Once our drinks were brought to us, we were promptly forgotten again... it was over an hour, with no sign of our server. We finally managed to catch her attention and ordered round 2. When we wanted to leave, again there was no staff around. We put on our coats and stood around our table for about 5 min... then my friend had to hunt down someone to see if they could ask our server to bring the bill... which then took forever for anyone to arrive to give us. If we were less honest, I bet we could have walked right out without paying they ignored us that much. Ive worked in the service industry as a server and bartender for approx 10+ years and am generally very understanding of slow service, especially if Im part of a larger even like we were, but this was absolutely the WORST service Ive ever recievd. Even when our server did show up, she was apathetic. I will NOT be going back and will be spreading the word to my friends to not bother either.

My partner and I came in for a late night drink on a Sunday. We sat at the bar and ordered some drinks and an apple crumble dessert. They were all fairly tasty. The bartender was friendly and polite to speak with, and encouraged us to come back to try out an escape room if we d like which we probably will. The only reason this isn t 5 stars is because we waited at the front for at least 15 minutes with no one coming to greet us at the host stand. It wasn t busy at all - there were 3 tables and a group playing darts, and we were within view of the bartender yet no one came until later.

Went for breakfast/brunch on a Sunday and was quite disappointed. Over hard eggs were cold, and not hard. Sausage patty was as hard as a hockey puck, and tasted about the same. Salad was over-dressed and not great. Even the coffee is terrible. Homefries and the biscuit were ok. Sat for 10 minutes before I got served. Awesome atmosphere but that doesnt mean much if the food sucks. Should have waited in the line at the Manx or the Elgin Street Diner.

We went there a Saturday for brunch. The cook didnt show up and it took 45 minutes for our server to tell us that the cook didnt show up and its going to be another 45 minutes if we wanted the potatoes. We decided to go without the potatoes and we finally got our food after an hour (eggs and bacon) and the restaurant was empty. We have to order a second coffee because of the wait and was charged two coffees and no reduction on the price. Terrible service and overpriced.

Did the Death Row Escape experience with my son, my sister and my niece. The experience was fun, the clues brilliant and we managed to escape from death row! We stayed for some snacks after. The place has a good vibe. Food

If you are going for food and cocktails there are many more options. I think the ratings is really for the experience if you are playing games food and drinks were okay but quite expensive for what it was. Service was polite but we were completely ignored and had a long wait despite the place not being full. All the attentions was in the patrons that were playing games.

We did the Death Row escape and it was fun! Good clues and not always obvious but still made you think! Fun activity for the family.

This review pertains to our escape experience. We took on the winemakers cellar. It was well designed and suitable for our party of 4 adventurers. A couple of twists that challenged us. Staff were very accessible when we called for a clue. Time provided was about right. Great event, enjoyed by all. Next time we plan to dine there.

I had the worst experience and it was on my birthday. The escape room wasn t too bad. The service was terrible! I didn t get the drink I ordered, the food took more than an hour to arrive and they brought the wrong order. Instead of BBQ sauce I got hot sauce on my chicken. I don t even eat hot sauce. I ordered a side of sweet potatoes fries, I was told that the chef burnt them and to wait a bit more. I was disappointed by the overall service. Also, I m not surprised that all those mistakes were made, at the bar the servers were taking shots, and one of them started being loud and inappropriate. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Jess was amazing!! I went there yesterday to celebrate with a colleague of mine, and the service we received was exceptional. The actual bar/restaurant wasn t too busy at the time but the drinks were well made and delicious. We got good recommendations and there was lots of attention to detail. Most drinks are fairly priced (for this type of place). I didn t get the chance to try a lot of their food, but I definitely recommend stopping here, especially if Jess is working. Plus it can be fun to get drinks before or after doing an escape room

Excellent new location that hosted our entire night out. Staff were very helpful in making sure we were able to fit everything into our evening. An escape was planned pre dinner and darts after. We will be back.

Manor Lounge/Escape Manor on Elgin St. is an amazing place. The ambiance is top-notch. The food is delicious and well-priced. My husband had the Steak Frites which was cooked to perfection. I had the pasta dish which was very tasty and filling. Hats off to the Chef! The Staff are professional, friendly and attentive. After dinner and cocktails, We played the electronic darts which was a lot of fun. Such an interesting concept. The lounge area, where the games are located, is a comfortable area with a great vibe. The decor in the entire venue is beautifully done. We haven t tried an escape room, yet, but plan on returning in the near future. If you are looking for a fun night out, pay them a visit. You will not be disappointed!

I ve been twice, one with friends (dinner, darts, drinks, bocce in the evening) one with family (afternoon lunch, escape room and darts)and it was so much fun. The absolute BEST gourmet Mac n cheese!! From dinner to entertainment, Manor Lounge had us covered. We escaped Death Row, played some bocce and foosball. this place was so much fun and the food was excellent. I came with my good buddy and my son and we had a blast with the dart board, played some jenga. Didnt get a chance to try out the escape rooms but we definitely will be coming back. The staff were so friendly and outgoing. we felt at home. Love that this is here now in Ottawa! Recieved a FB ad, which I usually hate getting, but this ad showed a New Years Eve party with dinner and dancing that seemed really cool to attend as were over 40 but still love going out and having fun. To start off, I sent an email asking for more info for this event and received not just 1 callback but 2 (1 being from the owner himself.) + We didnt have an expectation and was amazed at how beautiful this restaurant/escape manor/entertainment space was. At first entrance it looks like a typical above average restaurant with elegant decor but you cross the big curtains the and enter this gorgeous space which would be best described as a cozy yet elegant playroom found in a Mansion. So much to say... *A great wrap around bar, top shelf liquor served by the friendly Kelly. Cocktails are a little pricey but again top shelf. House wine is fantastic and well priced. *Tables, booths, and even lounge chairs for sipping cocktails *The food was to die for. Beautifully presented, good portion, fresh and different and well priced. Complemented the chef. *Sabrina was our waitress and provided great service. *From the moment we arrived, Lilly the games master, was extremely hospitable, friendly and checked on us as we played the games. Electronic dart game was lots of fun. There is also a bocce game, shuffleboard, foozeball, board games and oversize games too. Some have fees and others free to use. *The owner or one of, Steve, was making the rounds welcoming people on the floor. Very friendly and proud of this place with reason. Made us feel like VIP even though it was we were just 3. He turned on the music later in the night and even had videos in the background. Super cool. I hope he does this again. I am not familiar with Escape Manors but I will say this place is a 10/10. For ambiance, food, service and just plain ole FUN. We will definitely be going back and bringing some friends next time. Great service, great vibes, great food, and a fun, comfortable atmosphere

I decided to stop here for dinner while walking down Elgin Street after work. Not sure what to expect, I was happy to discover that this new spot is a cool restaurant / bar with a games room in the back. The basement, meanwhile, has escape rooms. Though I found the prices a tad high, I must say that the quality of food was really, really good. (The vegetarian pasta that I ordered was excellent). Bottom Line: I definitely plan to come back with my friends to check out the games section and escape rooms. Vegetarian options: My pasta was vegetarian.

A newly-opened lounge with a great vibe and several entertainment options. 2023 January 2 After completing an escape room in the basement, we continued our evening with food and drinks in the Manor Lounge. The escape room experience was very positive and our host was amazing-this seperate review can be found under the Google Maps designation for Escape Manor. Our server was friendly but not attentive whatsoever, and in the end this is what ruined our experience. When taking our drink orders she seemed very distracted and rushed. For myself, I asked for dessert options and she mentioned she didnt know if there were any since they were greyed-out on her handheld menu and said she would check for me. I asked for a glass of water as well at this time (my only drink) - she did not return for 30 minutes following this and could not be seen whatsoever to wave her down. She came back and asked if we wanted more drinks, I asked her again for a glass of water and she apologized, and there was no mention of dessert by her - she had completely forgotten. We looked at other food options on the menu but felt they were very overpriced. For example $24 for nachos without meat, $38 for their steak meal. This venue gives mixed vibes - its priced as a higher end restaurant but gives pub vibes. I couldnt see myself coming here for a sit down meal for dinner, but I would have loved more affordable appetizer or small meal options. Our bills came out to higher prices than advertised in the menu! We pointed this out to the server so they could correct it in their system - she ended up not charging us for the mispriced drinks. This was appreciated but not necessary at all, we would have been happy to pay the advertised price if it was corrected. The server was very apologetic and said they were still working things out since opening 2.5 weeks prior which is completely understandable. Previously known as Hooleys, Manor Lounge did a beautiful conversion with a great atmosphere, lighting, and decoration. Overall not a great experience at the lounge/dining area which is a shame because I see a lot of potential. If they were to change up the menu and/or pricing a bit I would definitely return to give them another shot and cross my fingers that the service was more attentive.

Last evening I went to Escape Manor Lounge for an escape room, something to eat and to play darts. Loved the atmosphere and cant wait to return!

We spent a very enjoyable evening at the Manor Lounge. First we escaped from Death Row. Great fun! Then we had an amazing dinner followed by darts and shuffleboard. There were lots of other cool games there as well! We will definitely have to go back. The new Manor Lounge location is simply packed with atmosphere and fun!

Really fantastic experience - I was especially impressed with the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating (gluten allergy). We didnt have an opportunity to try the food (only cocktails and electronic darts) but we will definitely be back!

Food was excellent and cooked thoroughly... drinks were tasty and different. The electronic Darts might be my new favorite past time!!

Joined a group here for a friends birthday and despite recent renovations, the building is still showing wear from the numerous remodels over the last few years. The nachos were very disappointing (not much cheese) and a small cup of chicken was given afterwards (forgotten at first) for $8. Seems like a pricey upsell. The beer was fine, but slightly overpriced. Darts cost an astounding $14 a head, which is pretty nuts. There were also times on Friday night where there just wasnt music playing.

We had a corporate team building day and were taken to the Manor Lounge. I was very impressed by the genuine friendly service and quality of the actual escape room. Our host took his job very seriously and played his role perfectly. The lounge itself looks very inviting and I cant wait to go back and try their beautiful bar and restaurant. Thank you, it was awesome!

We had a birthday night starting with an escape room and dinner after. We did the illusionist scenario with Sarah as our gamemaster and she was wonderful. The escape room was solid and our gamemaster even acted as a character in the introduction of the game which was very nice. Dinner was a little pricy but trust me the food is worth it. They have a lot of gluten free/vegetarian/vegan options. Overall pleased with the experience, will come back to do other rooms in the future! Vegetarian options: Has good vegan options

More of a lounge, with escape rooms secondary. Did the jail break one, found one puzzle to require a huge leap in intuition. I suspect the gamemasters know this already since they volunteered the hint without us asking for one. Kinda fluked another puzzle, and then the last room was anticlimactic.

Great atmosphere and spot to go for a night out with friends! Lovely array of food and drink options to enjoy before and after an escape room. We enjoyed some shareable appetizers and cocktails and they did not disappoint!

Went here last night for an escape room and drinks afterwards. The escape room was great and the lounge is super cool, lots of cool options of games to play. My 3 star review is based on the fact that our table of 6 had to wave down servers twice to get served and it took 30 minutes to get our first drink. We would have stayed longer if the service had been quicker but it was almost impossible to find a server to flag down. At one point we had a server about to put in our order, then she said oh did you guys do an escape room? And when we said yes she said ok be right back and never returned. 10 mins later we flagged down a different server to finally order a drink. This was the only downside for us, it is a cool place to go play games! I will definitely give it another try after some more time to get the kinks worked out.

I came as a staff member from the Hamilton location to play a room with my mom and it was awesome! The lounge was lovely, the room was amazing and the puzzles were super cool! Thanks to our amazing host Yonnin (sp? Tall, curly haired blonde guy)! Can t wait to come back!

TBH, I didnt have high expectations that the food would be anything stellar. We got the baked brie and loaded sweet potato fries. Mmmm they were so good! Great portion sizing as well, enough to share or a meal for one. Their cocktails are appropriately themed, colourful, and yummy. Good spot to go if youve got a larger group. Another group had a birthday celebration, they brought their own cake which the server brought out with candles. But dont worry, theres no embarrassing birthday singing from the servers or announcements made. I was surprised, and disappointed, that it costs $12 PER person to play darts! Personally, I wouldnt pay per person to reserve a games table. Not inexpensive but reasonably priced especially considering the location, for food and drinks. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian appetizers, some vegan options.

Our group of friends visited the Manor Lounge to celebrate a birthday. We started with drinks, followed by an escape room adventure and dinner. Amazing experience all around. The staff were very friendly and the food was incredible. We didnt manage to escape, but will definitely be back to try again. If youre looking for a place that offers something for everyone, this is it.

I reserved one of the dart boards for my 37th birthday on March 18th and had an absolute blast! Our server Lilly, I believe, was supper fantastic and took very good care of us. We ordered soooo much food and it was all fantastic! The brie was very yummy!!! Wish I would have taken some pictures but I was having to much fun. The overall atmosphere was very inviting and really fun with the bocce, shuffle board and games like jenga. Would definitely recommend and will be back again!

Had a wonderful escape room experience. Its a great place to meet up with friends or family. The food was good and the service was exceptional. Check it out if youre in the neighborhood.

We went for dinner. The fish dish with potatoes was very tasty and fresh, and the sauce tasted good and delicious, and the size was maybe too much for one person. Loud noises, which was not good in my personal opinion, but a The thing I liked was the light intensity which was very good, the waiter was not at a good level because one of our friends forgot the food and brought a drink by mistake.

We decided to celebrate a special birthday at this upscale restaurant and were impressed by the stunning interior design and abundance of entertainment options. We especially enjoyed the opportunity to reserve an escape room in advance for some added excitement. The restaurant boasts a diverse food and drink menu and ample seating, though we did find the portions to be a bit smaller than expected and the prices slightly higher than average. Unfortunately, service from the waitstaff was slow despite the ample number of staff on hand. It took quite some time for us to place our order and receive our food, but we found the flavors to be delicious and well-prepared. Overall, we had a unique and enjoyable experience at this place and would recommend it to others seeking a night out with friends or a special occasion celebration.

Visited the Manor on Easter Weekend, did an Escape room and had lunch. The escape room was lots of fun - we did the magician one which had a few tricks up it s sleeve. We did manage to escape with a few well-timed hints from our host. We then ventured upstairs for lunch. Delish! I had the burger and it was outstanding, along with the sweet potato fries. Excellent burger, can t say enough about it. My daughter had the pasta - it too was exceptional. The rest of the party enjoyed their food as well. The service was very good - she was quite friendly and even shared a few stories about her cats after hearing we had cats! Made it a more personable experience. Well done Manor Lounge.

This place has a really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a wonderful Sunday afternoon in the Escape Manor and then enjoyed some delicious cocktails in the Lounge. We will definitely be back again soon!

Excellent escape rooms. In my opinion, Illusionist is their best room and Death Row is their worst. The dining experience is hit or miss. Two of my three experiences dining here were disappointing. The first time me and my gf were ignored by our server for 30-40 mins until another member of staff had to come by to give us our bill. The second time our nachos took nearly 1hr and we had to cancel the order so we could do our escape room. I left an honest review explaining my disappointing experiences and the general manager reached out to me to offer a free escape room. An unexpected but greatly appreciated gesture. My third time dining here left me leaving the biggest tip I have ever left. truly some of the best service Ive ever had.

I ended unexpectedly at this place for a nice dinner. Hostesses are helpful on the spot, bartenders were kind, music was super ambiance and the food was just, excellent! The caesar salad and the pasta was worth every penny. I highly recommend this place.

Came here for a birthday on Saturday. The escape room was fun but that s all I can give stars for. The service was mediocre at best. We were told we would be given complimentary shots for the birthday girl by the hostess & the escape room host but our server never did anything for us even though we had mentioned it numerous times. We then waited 45 minutes with empty drinks and our server was no where to be found. We had to flag someone else down to give us our bills and they (plus many other staff members) couldn t even find our server. The server who ended up helping us with our bills did end up offering the shots after we had mentioned not receiving them from our actual server but after waiting 45 minutes without any type of service, we just wanted to leave. Needless to say, definitely not a great impression for our first time at this location.

We were a group of 14 people, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our group, we were split into 3 escape rooms, we all enjoyed it very much. Great activity for team building, the hosts were very energetic and fun. We also had lunch there, it was fast and the food was excellent. Special thank you to Brittni, the Group Events Manager for making this experience a great one, we will be doing it again in the future.

I joined some friends for an escape room experience. We arrived early and sat in the Lounge by the open windows, and enjoyed a beer and some sweet potato fries - which were fab and came with a vegan dipping sauce! I would love to see more vegan options on the menu. I loved the ambiance of the lounge, as well as the addition of the games room in the back (I didnt get to participate in anything this time round but hopefully next time!). The escape room experience was really great! The staff was fun and relaxed, and oh-so-helpful! I loved the Prohibition Room and look forward to going to back to try some others!

Over-priced food and drinks. Plenty of better options with food just as good or better for noticeably lower prices a 2 min walk down Elgin. Id say 50% more expensive than necessary. The prices are 100% not justified. Drinks are about 20% over-priced. The beer selection was quite okay not great expensive again and they had ran out of at least two different kinds of beers (I am a craft beer connoisseur the companies they have a large enough supply no reason why this bar ran out of Millstreet IPA and Muskoka Cream ale (two large regional breweries) The 25-28$ options should be 17-20$ max not a penny more. And no the food wasnt good enough and portions werent big enough to justify being that expensive. Do the escape room, and then just go somewhere else after youre done. This restaurant will not last 3 years with these pricing models they will run out of debt (the wasnt busy for a Saturday night in June) to run the place and close. Its Elgin Street. You need competitive pricing. People can EASILY walk down the street and eat somewhere else. This isnt some random mall in Baarhaven. There isnt much to discuss with management apart from lower your prices. They are way too high. Gives me tourist trap vibes. Just because you charge higher prices doesnt mean the experience was elevated. That food was not elevated in any way to justify the prices.

We did their escape room Prohibited then went to the lounge for some snacks, drinks, and darts. Nachos and pretzels were great. Darts was a lot of fun. It was Sunday so it wasn t too busy but I would imagine you would have to book the darts ahead of time on busy nights. Looking forward to going back and doing more rooms.

This place is a great addition to Elgin Street. Fun escape rooms and dart boards, excellent cocktails, and super welcoming staff all make this a terrific to go for an evening out. Their food is the only outlier. The menu options sound great, but are just not done well. We ve been here many times now and each time we ve been super disappointed by the food. They either over-complicated simple classics, have apps with bizarre proportions (so much dip with basically no bread to go with it) or just didn t prepare things well. Great spot, but I d recommend eating somewhere else and heading here for drinks and activities.

A gem on Elgin St. that entitled civil servants who live in their home offices, cubicles and lame suburbs are completely missing out on. Food and ambience is exceptional as well as a wide assortment of beer, craft beer, liquors and liqueurs, cocktails and wine. Entertainment, whether the escape rooms, darts, DJ or live music is on point, as it the courtyard patio. The city council and the Mayors Office should be ashamed of not promoting downtown more and making it a proper destination. No one would call a suburb a destination. Outstanding establishment!

We did an escape room, played darts and had appies and drinks. Our server was Lily. All aspects of the evening were great. The escape room, Prohibited, was challenging and fun and kept to the theme well. The darts were unique and varied and loved the video replay of my win! The atmosphere was welcoming and the service, food and drinks were excellent! Lily was a humorous and attentive server. Great night!!

Manor Lounge is a hidden gem! I did the Death Row escape room with 3 friends and escaped with 3 minutes to spare. I thoroughly enjoyed my night, first with an escape room, then with Manor Lounge. The staff were friendly, very enthusiastic, and accommodating to our group. We have yet to try out the games that you can play during dinner, but that s what I ll be doing next time I go because Ottawa is lacking a great board games lounge! I recommend to any group looking to bond with friends, make memories, or just have good conversation over great drinks. Such a refreshing spot on Elgin!

We initially went to Manor Lounge for Escape Manor. The escape room itself was a blast! The workers were fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Afterwards, we decided to take advantage of the happy hour specials. We were really shocked at the prices for it being a happy hour. We opted for curry fries and bruschetta. The bruschetta was very tasty, but was only enough to feed two people unless you only want one piece of bread. The curry fries were less expensive (and the only vegan option), but they were pretty subpar for the price. There wasnt a ton of flavour and it was definitely a letdown. On the plus side, service was fantastic and we were super impressed with our server! Id be interested in going back for another escape room, but I cant justify the full prices of the food and drinks for the quality of it.

We have been twice so far. First time we escaped (Winemaker) this time we were very close but did not make it out. We will go back and do a other one at some point. Serve is amazing I love how they play their role.

This evening turned from a less than ideal experience to an incredible one! The kitchen had some issues which was the start of our evening and had us off on a rough start. Quickly the new GM Charlie came to the rescue and went above and beyond to make a better experience for us! Lots of new staff learning but with the wonderful amazing Charlie showing everyone the way, it will not take this place long to be running in top shape! Cant wait to come back again! Xoxo

The drink is good! The atmosphere is suitable for a group!not a place to sit and talk ,not for date ! Just a crowded group can enjoy! The food is good and delicious but the fries is not fresh and is ! Not recommended for date night! The costumer service is not as expected! We reserved a table but they gave us the worst! Food

A great classy getaway with an eclectic mix of fun and great food! There s truly something for everyone to play . from darts to bocce ball, to lifesize connect five and tic tac toe to several card and board games. Decor is amazing! There s also a nice adjoining outdoor patio. Food was great, despite our large group being served way too haphazardly. Some of us were finished eating before others were served. It was a weeknight and there was only one other table. I d still go back and I d recommend this fun spot but beware of large groups. Perhaps next time, it ll be better. If you re looking for lots of fun and great food, be sure to drop in Parking: Very limited parking in front and around this venue, but that s typical of the location. Google surrounding areas for parking lots nearby.

This was an excellent experience. We attended to participate in an escape room, which was thoughtfully constructed and challenging, and a workout for the brain! Unfortunately there was a power outage that affected much of the downtown part way through our escape. The staff went above and beyond to present us with options on continuing our experience once the power returned, or on another date. We attended the lounge for drinks while the power was out. It was busy and active with customers participating in the bocce and darts. It had unique and comfortable vibe. I can t say enough positive things about every staff member that we interacted with in the escape and the lounge. Excellent customer service from everyone. We will be returning soon to continue our experience. -Greg

Great place with lots of games and activities for a date night, group event or night out with friends. The escape rooms are great and the fact there are so many other things to do at the manor makes it better than other escape places in my opinion. Highly recommend!

I did not have any food at this location. But the escape room was magical!!! I will be back and likely often what an incredible experience, I Want to bring everyone here!

The venue on Elgin was wonderful for our staff Christmas party. We had cocktails before and then we were divided up into groups and had a blast trying to solve the puzzle. Lots of laughs throughout. We had appetizers, main menu and dessert afterwards. It was delicious and reasonably priced.

I ve had a few nights out at the Manor Lounge and every time it has been an amazing experience. Not only are the escape rooms fun and challenging, the food drink and general vibe are immaculate! I highly recommend the charcuterie board, it is life changing. We will definitely be back! :)

Consistently fantastic experience. The food and drinks are delicious, and the games are particularly fun - one of my favorite spots to bring friends when were looking for something to do. Darts, in particular is a favorite.

Just had a Xmas soccer party. Service was absolutely terrible. Took 45 mins for an ice tea.... some kids waited 2 hrs for food. We booked 2 weeks in advance. Completely unacceptable
