I havent been here in years, since university days. Its nice to see the atmosphere hasnt changed, but it doesnt look broken down. Good was exactly as I remembered it and the service was the exact same also. Enjoyed my time here will definitely consider coming back for a bite in the future

I ve frequented Perkins many times in the past with friends and family and the foods always been good but the service was nothing special, except this time my friend and I truly had some incredible service from our server Eva. We came in on a very busy Wednesday afternoon yet she managed to be incredibly attentive and personable. She took the time to verify menu items for us, get extra whip cream and ask the kitchen to recook some sausages for us. She even noticed when we needed refills and to go containers without being asked, again all while serving a lot of tables. Eva is an incredible example of good service. Thank you again.

Says they are open 24 hours and i went at 5am and yup closed. They really should update their hours. So frustrating.

Went for a holiday breakfast with workmates. Amazing server who was just so friendly and personable. Food was middling though the cinnamon bun was pretty good. Prices are high for what you get but Id probably go back. Not as good as the ones I went to in Florida but glad to have this around in a pinch.

Firstly, I would like to thank Sadie (breakfast at 09:00-09:30 Monday November 5th at seat 27). Service was exceptional. Hence why I didnt want to rate my experience lower than a 4/5. I got the Grannys Country breakfast. Everything came out in what seemed like 5 mins. I was absolutely surprised at the speed. The omelette was super thin and almost tasted as if they are ore made in the back and then they heat it back up real quick and slap some cheese on-top of it. The cubed potatoes tasted extremely stale and as if they were made several hours before I had arrived. The pancakes were very good. So I highly recommend trying those out. My server (Sadie) came back a couple times to check-up on me. After I was done eating she promptly returned and asked how everything was. I told her what I thought about the potatoes and she kindly asked me if I wanted to try the tater tots instead. I said yes and she came back out a couple minutes later with these deliciously warm and crispy potato taters. I highly recommend trying these out as well. Thank you Sadie for making up for the food. Great prices and you leave buffet full.

Menu changes too often. Good items have a tendency of disappearing... like quesadillas (chicken and plain) I went there yesterday, ordered take out. The food was cold. The person who took my order passed me off to someone who hung up on me. I recalled and got a manager. When I got there, the person at the front was confused. I had to explain twice that I was there for a pickup. She opened the bag and looked inside.

My kids and I had breakfast at this location on a Saturday, we enjoyed the meal and service

The hibachi dishes are quite good.

Clara was our server and she was so helpful and courteous. It was our first time here and she helped us through the many selections in the menu. The food was delicious and prompt. Highly recommend.

The eggs Benedict included fried eggs instead of poached which was a disappointment. Good service.

The service and booth that we were in was nice but the food was luke-warm.

Went back here after a couple of years and the standards and quality has significantly reduced.

This rating is purely for the cleanliness of the place. I ate there before and the food is pretty good. However, when I visited on Nov 8th, 2024, I just could not eat there. I left immediately after I had to clean my seat before sitting down because there was food all over it. I started looking around and noticed the food wastes all over the floor, jam stuck on the side of a booth and the dirty carpet. I thought to myself, If the eating area looks like this, I cant imagine the kitchen.

Friendly staff, low quality food at a premium price. Eggs Benedict should never be a fried egg on a piece of ham so thin it wouldnt even be called lunch meat. A very sad breakfast. Food : 1/5

Always great solid choice. Its a little cramped feeling when its busy but thats to be expected. Get the chocolate french silk pie, whatever life problems you have will be gone for the 6.5 minutes it takes you to devour it. :)

Its been years since my wife and I were here. In the early 2000s, we would come here 1-2 times a month until we moved to the GTA. Now its only 24 hrs on the weekends, and only has a reduced menu during the overnight hours (we always liked being able to go there at 1:00 am). Our food was good, pancakes were nice and fluffy as we remembered, but not having the full menu options available was a bummer. Our server was nice and attentive.

We walked in to the restaurant on a busy Saturday just before noon today and were immediately greeted by the hostess, even though many people were waiting in the lobby to be seated. Within 15 minutes, we were seated at a table and seconds later our waitress Norraine greeted us and brought us menus. Within 3 minutes we had our beverages and 10 minutes later our breakfast. We were done our meal within 30-40 minutes from the time we entered the restaurant, which is amazing considering the fact that the dining room was full. I walked up to the manger to acknowledge that she is running a well-oiled machine and the food and service was impeccable. I even went back to thanks Norraine for the wonderful experience and gave her a $20 tip on a $50 tab as the service was that amazing. We have never had a bad experience at this restaurant and will definitely start going more often even though we live 30 minutes away in Embrun. Having worked in the restaurant industry for many years earlier in my career at the Chimo Hotel across the street (now a Holiday Inn), I have a good sense of a well managed restaurant, which in turn translates into loyal and kind employees providing excellent service. Bravo!

Perkins is always a great experience. I dont go often and was happy to have made it to this one. Just like the one in Manitoba, food is fantastic. Who doesnt love all day breakfast?

Just ate here at it was amazing. Its really busy but you are provided with a buzzer to let you know your table is ready. I am happy with the menu and was served by a great host named Libby! She knows her job and is good at it!

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered the Classic 55 that said crispy hash browns, 1 egg and kielbasa sausage & toast $15. What I got was a small egg, toast, grated potatoes no crisp and an inedible sausage with the skin on that had potential of being a chocking hazard. All I ate was the egg and toadt. the server spoke to manager & told to remove 15%! We addressed it with the manager who was curt bordering on rude no customer service skills said she ll further discount. All said the discount was 30% so basically the egg and toast cost me $9.00. A slap in the face, needless to say we will not be back

Vicki was incredibly unpleasant throughout our experience. We felt rushed to reply to anything and she was dry and incredibly rude. Napkins were tossed as well as condiments. Our coffee wasnt even served to us we had to serve it ourselves which Ive never experienced and the food is mediocre.

Came to eat for supper, food is bad. I ordered a poutine with chicken. I received my poutine with few pieces of fried chicken. Poutine was a 2/10 at the max. I didn t eat it. When we went to pay, they charged us 8$ for the chicken. 8$ for 1 chicken finger cut is pieces. Absurd! My partner took the new steak sandwich and steak was too hard.

Waitress got order wrong, didnt bring the coffee till I was almost done my meal, she didnt listen when talking to brought the wrong dressing for our salad.

We love going here for breakfast. I think they have the best pancakes in town. Especially if you order real maple syrup, yummy.

Ordered food with Uber eats. Food was very cold, the meal was not prepared correctly, got the wrong type of eggs. Very disappointed with the quantity, tiny slice of meet and 10 tots. A bit over priced for what was received.

I personally never had a problem with Perkins. Very popular place as such we rarely go due to lineups. Food is great, service is excellent. This last time was no exception. Enjoyed my meal and price was reasonable.

Service was not great for the amount of money they charge. Food was just okay

The menu provided many options and everyone found something to order and seemed happy with their choices. Was disappointed in the lack of vegetarian options, when asked, the server said they really only had a veggie burger. Service was a bit slow despite the restaurant being empty or almost empty. The bathroom had a funny smell (might have been the air freshener). Vegetarian options: Not many, despite what the website says. You could order most dishes without the meat but no substitute offered

The washroom is probably the most disgusting Ive ever seen. It actually smells like a cat litter its revolting.

Went for breakfast (which is served all day also). Food is actually delicious and somewhat reasonably priced. But the surprise I got on my bill when I saw coffee wasnt included with breakfast (4$ per person) and that a lot of breakfast plates didnt come with buttered toast (extra 3.50$ IIRC). Brought my cousin here for lunch. We all had a great time. The food and atmosphere was perfect. My husband and my daughter and I always come here.

Visited after a long time expecting to be wowed as we had been in previous visits and we are super disappointed. Our waitress was super spacey and got our order wrong and made it like it was our fault for ordering wrong. The food was good but at the price it is nowadays, we defenitely expect much more like we used to in previous visits. The lady at the cash was also very rude and blunt. We used to love Perkins but now we will never return again.

Great place with a great menu and great service. Only suggestion is try to get there early (since some days are 24 hours too early usually isnt a problem) because its definitely a popular spot, but that makes sense given that its a great place to eat. And the fact that Perkins always has baked goods ready to take home isnt a bad thing either ;)

Its a mediocre diner. I would only come here for breakfast or if I was a senior as they have a specific menu. This was the first time id tried their non breakfast menu. The chicken strips were ok the mozarella sticks were basic at best and the deep-fried pickles were soggy and spicy in a bad way. I would definitely stick to their breakfast.

Good space between tables, great quantity for the price, not too loud, great service and you have a coffee jug so you don t have to worry about refills. Overall really happy about this breaky restaurant.

Always can count on Perkins to serve breakfast. Unlimited coffee in a carafe provided for each table. Any later than the time we arrived there would have been a wait. Choice of a table or booth spacious to carry out a conversation. Wait staff pleasant and did not rush us. A tempting baked goods take out. Slanted sidewalks for ease with cane. I go back when I can.

Went woth the UN/NATO Veterans NCR group here for supper. We were very pleased with the quality and quantity of food.

Ordered takeout, and was pleasantly surprised. Good was tasty and nicely presented, and dessert pies were packaged separately making it easy to keep them filled until ready to eat them. Ordered burgers as well as a turkey dinner plate. Both were nicely cooked and flavorful. COVID protocols looked good inside, and a dining tent was outside for those who wanted to eat there.

I got a take out order. I sat in the Lobby for a while waiting for my order. Servers were quick and friendly and attentive. One was very very loud when she spoke and said the same thing every time someone entered. Like she was on autopilot. She didnt seem very sincere either. The food was meh. The pancakes were burnt on one side and much smaller than I remember. The omelette I had was not very flavourful. Maybe it was because I ordered it to go it wasnt as good as sitting in the restaurant. I would think twice before I went there again. It wasnt as good as the last time I was there which was a couple of years ago.

I went in for breakfast. This being strawberry season. They had a special breakfast menu with a selection of strawberry items. I was looking forward to fresh strawberries on my French toast. FROZEN! I was very disappointed.

Worst Fathers Day breakfast. I just got home from the worst Fathers Day breakfast ever. Im a single parent of a son with special needs. Because of his exceptionalities, we rarely go out for meals, but I decided to treat us today and went to Perkins, for the first time. We got to Perkins at 5am, so there wouldnt be to many people, and there was one loud and busy table of club goers in the restaurant. I asked to be seated away from them and we were refused. This should have been my first red flag. We ordered right away and waited about 45 minutes for our food; the restaurant was empty. We ordered eggs and pancakes. After 45 minutes, with no staff coming by and I was barely able to keep my son regulated. We were about to leave and the waiter finally came out with our food, as were we leaving. My son was really hungry, so I decided to eat there. My sons pancakes were good. My eggs were good, thats where it ended. The coffee was terrible, the hash browns were shredded white potatoes with no colour to them or salt and the sausages has no taste at all. Im not sure what was going on, but between the ridiculous wait and the mediocre food, we wont be back.

The atmosphere was okay and the service was quite good. Went here for Father s Day for my wife s Dad. He enjoyed his liver and onions (available but not listed on the menu) but complained that the potato portion had gotten smaller. Mom-in-law liked her salmon but my wife and daughter were unimpressed with their cheeseburgers and the crackers for my daughter s soup were old and had gone soft. My wife and I were unenthusiastic about our undercooked freezer fries and the bacon in my BLT was way overcooked. We won t be back.

Great breakfast

A birthday party : a 3 year old and 5 doting adults. The food was great, the waiters were patient and we had a terrific time! Kid-friendliness: A very excited 3 year old was treated with patience and care.

We waited 50 minutes for our food and it wasnt hot when we got it (the server tried to gaslight us by saying it was hot before giving it to us) and they got my eggs wrong, how do you screw up eggs? Definitely no tip and I am NOT coming back.

Good ambiance, food was delicious but only one concern is, if they provide 4 pieces of bread and just one puck of jam which looks bit funny.

Not very good. If you have no choice. Not much in your plate for regular breakfast. Only eggs toast potatoes and a bit of meat. Very plain. 16$ and coffee not included.

Came for Sunday brunch, had a great time. My wife and I ordered the A la cart Belgian waffles with fruit and chocolate sauce on the side as well as a veggie egg omelette. The food and service were great. I was also pleasantly surprised that the servers gave us the additional water and coffees in thermoses which was a small detail but a game changer for me honestly. Fairly quick service time and not too long wait even on mother s day brunch time which was surprising. Will come again

Commercial Family Restaurant. Service was just OK, not overly fast, not overly attentive. Just there. Atmosphere is very Commercial, like just above McDs for a Family Restaurant. Food had good portion size, like even a bit bigger then expected. Quality and Flavor, was average to below average. A bit bland and not very creative. All day Breakfast was nice. Beer selection was CRAP, not a Beer place. Prices were a bit high. If you need to fill your belly with something, and need to be better than McDs, this a a good spot. If you want a tasty food, there are many other options.

Me and my buddies came to perkins today (Wednesday April 17, 2024) and they were closed even thought google and the sign at the front of the door says they re open 24 hours on wednesdays among other days and they were closed, we commuted an hour and a half after our religious affairs for 20 minutes to devour some scrumptious pancakes but were very disappointed.

Not what it once was, but still a good value and the service was great. Restaurant was clean and washrooms were as well. Food came quickly and was delivered as ordered.

Waitress was so pleasurable and funny lady who made us feel better after the funeral.tysvm for the delightful service and day

Love this place! Great selection, fair prices, and good portions. I love the breakfasts and pies. The servers are always friendly and attentive and the ambiance is great. It is never too loud and it reminds me of an american diner.

Took my 3 grown boys for breakfast and was very disappointed. The food portions were very small, I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and the cream cheese was moldy and bagel was rock hard, everyone s food was cold and no one enjoyed them selves. Bill was $70 I won t be going back
