"Portuguese Restaurant known as home of great and delicious Portuguese food. we been serving the community since 2015"
Had dinner here last night with friends- meals included Cod special, shrimp brochette, and Piri Piri Chicken. All meals were flawless, served hot! And lovely presentation. Service was hospitable and attentive. Ambience was wonderful- very cozy restaurant— and definitely book ahead, because all tables were full. Wonderful Portuguese house wine, and unique coconut cheesecake completed the meals! We are definitely going back. Oh- and best part- very reasonably priced, varied menu- and diverse flavors!
Exceptional food! Very intimate atmosphere. The service was exceptional. I ordered cod that was divine, my husband had beef which just melted in his mouth. Definitely going again.
Authentic and delicious Portuguese food. Home made with a really great ambience. Staff was lovely to speak with. We will be coming back and bringing friends!
Jamie was our server. His attention to detail was amazing. Really one of best servers I have met. Owner came and talked to us and even remembered me from El Meson days. I had the rabbit. Was amazing. We had appetizers - garlic shrimp (perfect), chorizo sausage (delicious) and cod cakes (as I remembered from Portugal). The entire experience was above my expectations. You should make plans to go. The boat was from Peniche where I have been. Obrigado.
The absolute BEST. As a portuguese I can confirm that this restaurant has it downpat. The ambiance, the warm welcoming service above and beyond, welcomed from the first step in. The food; brought tears to my eyes, exactly like my Avo(grandma) used to make. We ordered the cod cakes, the flamed grilled chorizo, the pork and clams and the cataplana. Perfection. Cherry on top. They serve Super Bock! Only the best beer you can have to enjoy a portuguese meal with. We will return very very shortly. A very big thank you for the wonderful meal this evening.
Food was quite good. Everything was tender but everything, ribs, chicken, and fries were too salty. All three of us who ate it agreed about the salt. Everything else about the experience was good though.
**Portugalos: A Flavorful Newcomer to Blackburn Hamlet** Portugalos, the new Portuguese restaurant in Blackburn Hamlet, has already made a delicious impression. We started with a fantastic chicken vegetable soup - the tomato broth was bright and flavorful. The grilled octopus was tender and perfectly seasoned, a delightful appetizer. For our main course, we shared the lamb shank and it was truly a 5-star dish. The lamb was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the sauce was rich and savory. It was a generous portion, perfect for sharing. Overall, our experience at Portugalos was fantastic. The food was excellent, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious Portuguese cuisine!
Tried the new Portugalos location last week with my wife, I had the piri-piri chicken, my wife had the grilled squid with cod cakes. Everything was delicious, service was great. Excellent addition to the neighborhood, we will be back!
Best food I ve had in Ottawa maybe even in Ontario.
Great Portuguese food with a friendly service.
