Poulet Rouge St-Laurent Centre in Ottawa

One of my favorite places to get food recently , Ive tried a variety of dishes and theyve never failed to impress me , the food is just amazing and the flavors are addicting. I also loved the service, especially an employee who goes with the name abdelkarim whos always kind and welcoming towards me .

Please fix your system so that it can accept gift cards!! What s the point of the restaurant giving me a gift card if I can t use it?

They now give one less topping, with the only sauce I get, tzatziki, apparently no longer counting as a sauce. They re still pushy with the spicy mayo, so I doubt this will affect many people. I will not be ordering as much (if, at all) anymore. I definitely wouldn t have ordered tonight if I d known.

The food is so good, but the girl in the toppings section needs to cool it down. She rushes people too much to make a decision even when there is no line. They definitely need to improve on that.

Went to Poulet Rouge for the first time in St. Laurent mall and I would say that the food was amazing. The staff was so nice to talk to too. Jad and Amina were amazing too. They made an excellent recommendation and we loved the food. Will definitely go back.

10/10 food and service. Oh my gosh I hope this restaurant stays. I can t even describe the tastes. If you re debating what to get on your chicken I HIGHLY recommend 2 choices - Bbq and volcano. The staff were all SO friendly helping me order since it was my first time and extremely polite. The food was next level. I can t believe this is mall food to be honest. I will 100% be back. The photo of the size of chicken they give you is a pure lie. Just the smallest pieces you could imagine, 1 bit pieces. Unreal and brutal for what you pay. Taste is fine but youre paying 20$ for just veggies. Edit: their response is we add pieces when theyre this small like what you got another lie. I ordered 4 pieces. Got 4 pieces the size of 1 real filet.

I liked the food, its really tasty

Update- April 2023: 1 star I visited this place last night. It was not busy anymore and it was surprising for me at the beginning. After my food was served I found out the reason! The portions were smaller and the prices were higher than expected and what they used to be. I know inflation is a factor here but it doesn t make sense that the prices of their food are gone up and at the same time portions are halved! I won t come back to this place anymore although it used to be my favourite casual place to enjoy a good dinner with my family. Fall 2022 : 5 star Great price for a great and healthy food. They serve the food very quick although they are very busy. The chicken was grilled to perfection. Good quality and very fresh veggies.

I m not sure if this is just on Uber eats or in physical locations too, but you now have to pay extra to get spinach while it used to be available as a free included ingredient. What gives?

One of my goto places in the food court at the mall. Tried almost every other outlets over there this one stood out.

Most food courts have an array of pretty unhealthy foods to chose from and stubbled upon this new spot a couple of weeks ago. Their menu is very simple you can chose from a rice base or a salad base and up to 7 additional toppings to accompany the chicken you get. Overall this is a good spot to grab a quick decently healthy meal. The chicken is barbqued and has a great flavour. Would come here again.

I did enjoy going there but but every time I go the employees have there own personal music blasting and you can t hear yourself think and and trying to speak to the person at the cash register is so difficult because they are always saying the word what because they can t hear you because of the super loud gangster music that is always playing and why don t the employees have name tags and why are some of the male employees aloud to wear there pants past there waist I don t need to see there boxer shorts Parking: It s ok

The customer service was not at all pleasant. They put a lot of sticky brown rice to fill the bowl! Topings quantity and chicken is not much. Only cucumber and onion seemed to be fresh .

The taste is average. The chicken pieces are too small. I tried their poutine with 2 flavors. Both the flavors seem similar. They need to improve their taste and quantity.

Delicious salads!

Decided to try their food for a whim and am very happy I did. The food is fresh and delicious, perfectly cooked chicken. Prices are modest and well worth for the taste and portions (toppings and chicken), they do not skimp on them. Definitely going to be coming back.

Fresh and flavourful, this grilled chicken is worth the trek. There are multiple flavor combinations when creating a bowl, and the staff can point out good potential combinations. Side note, the owner is an absolute delight. Go say hi.

I love poulet rouge and always order through ubereats and usually don t have a problem, but today I decided to go to the store and get my order and it was not a really good experience. The store was really messy and the customers can see it all, poor customer service, looks like all of them are having a bad day, and the one grilling the chicken are busy talking to his friend while cooking not surprised that my chicken was burnt. There should be someone supervising the employees and check what s happening in the store.

This is my first time trying at Poulet rouge, the price and the portions of food is not worth it to spend. Also, the rice was smelled I believe which is old rice and I ordered spicy chicken but the chicken was not even spicy. I am not going back. Not satisfied With the food. What I expect and what I got is different. Not happy at all

Waited 15 minutes for an order only to be told it was not ready! Left and came back in 10 minutes.. then one of the cooks (disgusting looking person with tattoos all over ker neck) rolled her eyes at me and said, not ready yet without looking at me! Stay away After i refused a $10 gift card from the owner (because i am not looking for compensation, but only looking to be treated with dignity), the owner is threatening me to escalte this with uber!

I wish I could give less than 1 star. They used to have good food, but not anymore. Their quality is going down every single day. Today they gave me disgusting food with raw chicken. The other location of this restaurant is actually quite good but this one in Saint Lauren Mall is horrible. If they keep their quality at this low standard they might be forced to close by the health department.

Tried this place for the first time today. Food was amazing. Portions were a good size , lots of flavour. The place was super busy just before close and the staff held their composure making sure everyone got what they ordered. Will definitely be going back.

Used to be one of my favorite places to eat healthy away from home. Unfortunately, quality has gone down in recent months. Ingredients are often old and soggy and chicken now gets reheated to speed up their process. Not as fresh as it used to be

I ordered the 4-piece chicken bowl and it was absolutely amazing, filling and filled with flavor. I would definitely recommend Poulet Rouge and come back here for a nutritious and filling meal. The staff were great at recommending the food and they were very pleasant. Thumbs up to this place!!
