This restaurant was a pleasure to dine at. Pooja hosted us and was very warm and welcoming to me and my family. The waitresses for the night, Angela and Inga, were very friendly and pleasant to talk to. Amazing service! The bartender, Sadir, also made very tasty drinks - highly recommend Prova s Shirley Temple and beer in particular. Also a big shoutout to the chefs - the food was also very good. Overall, I highly recommend dining here!

Lunch not fresh at all. Avocados and blackened fruits. We chose plates rather than the buffet but it was dry! The potatoes and bacon came from the buffet... Virginie offered us friendly service.

As I walked in, I was greeted by a lovely Hostess, ( Rosa). Although I didnt eat, what I saw definitely looked appetizing. But I did have a drink and my bartender was also exceptional (Damera) till next time.

Excellent service from the hostess to the waitress Angela, both did a wonderful job, both me and my daughter were impressed with the professionalism and dedication of these girls in their work, so much so that my daughter took a liking to both of them from the first time, I give them a 10/10, this will be one of my favorite places in Ottawa and I hope to always be greeted by the kind smile of the hostess Pooja and served with the warmth of the waitress Angela.

I had a pizza last night at Prova after a friend recommended it, and I was impressed by the outstanding quality of the pizza for a hotel restaurant. The food quality exceeded my expectations, and the service from the staff was smooth and attentive. I will definitely be back for more pizza!

Delicious lunch for such a good price, needed a quiet spot and it was easy to find one even though the place looked busy when I first stepped in. Oh and of course I quickly ran out of salsa and guacamole for my nachos - asked for more and got a big serving of both :) Thank you!

Let me tell you a quick story how my friends and I were looking for a place to have some late dinner in Ottawa. We came in just before closing of this place and they were very understanding and nice to us, even though they were not supposed to let us in that time already. We had an incredible dinner over there! Obviously, the service and the location were incredible. I would love to go back on my next trip to Ottawa

It was my first time at Prova and it was absolutely amazing! From the first minute we felt the vibes were amazing. The drinks were absolutely fantastic and food was sooo yummy! Our server Angela was the best, she was able to handle our last minute request to move from a 2 to 8 sitting table. We will definitely go back and pretty sure we will have a great time again!

I recently enjoyed breakfast at Prova, thanks to the exceptional service from Talicia. From her warm greeting to her excellent menu recommendations, Talicias attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our meal memorable. Amazing place. Food was amazing but the most amazing part was the serving. Reda made our stay so much easier since we were with our little 18 month old. He made sure she ate by bringing us different meals just so she could eat. Amazing person with a great heart. Prova should be very proud to have him.

We had breakfast in the Delta Hotel in Ottawa while we were there for the Ottawa Marathon. Our waiter, Jose, was excellent and made both meals very enjoyable for us. He is efficient; very friendly and is a credit to your organization.

I took myself out as a little treat and instead wasted my nice dinner budget on a garbage meal. While the service was stellar, the food was atrocious. My meal was $30 for an Atlantic salmon. I got an overcooked piece of salmon on top of a handful of baby potatoes, peas & corn (that were the same quality as frozen peas & corn), a sprinkle of other veggies, and basically seating all of this in tomato soup that was so meh I would believe if someone told me it came from a can. The whole meal made no sense together and was poor quality ingredients. In total, the value on that plate was maaaaybe $7-8 with the majority of that being the cost of salmon. If I were more confrontational - and if the service had not been so good - I would ve asked for a refund which I have never even considered doing before. Whatever management is making your chefs cut corners to save costs: PLEASE STOP.

Pretty decent Italian restaurant with plenty of options if you re on a budget or looking for something more elaborate. They also deliver to your room if you re staying at the hotel. Servers were attentive but not particularly friendly. Dish wise avoid the salmon as they do not season it so it s quite bland.

The best service Ive ever had!!!! They even let us in a bit earlier and we were served within 15 min! Food was delicious! Unfortunately we dont live in Ottawa, but will be back for sure!

They are closed for lunch for the holidays and only allowed takeaway. It took 50 minutes to get our food. The chef was late to work, apparently. The duck confit isnt much food, and the broccoli was burnt. The beet salad is tasty, but the coleslaw isnt. The wings are nothing to write home about. They comped us $20, a bottled water, and a tea for the wait.

If youre staying at this hotel and need a place to eat, this is not it. We got in late on New Years Eve and most places were closed. I had the eggplant parmesan sandwich, it was very salty, the pile of arugula stuffed inside did not go with it at all and overall it was not very good. It came with the Provo chips which ended up tasting like stale, hard as a rock kettle chips. How someone thought that these chips would go well with an eggplant parmesan sandwich is beyond me. My Coke was watered down and not good. The waitress was nice. Its very expensive and for the sub-par food you get there are much better places you can go to for a good meal.

Red peppers are jarred peppers or pre-cooked and watery, they are not fresh peppers. I ordered sausage and pepper pizza and it was very soggy due to the peppers. You would think a pizza restaurant or hotel restaurant would have fresh peppers. Ceasar salad was good with the lunch special. I asked for tea from the lunch special and had to ask twice. I wanted to drink my tea slowly from the beginning of my meal but it came at the end of my meal. None of my companions were offered tea or coffee from the lunch special by the servers, I guess you have to ask twice to get it. Service was an acceptable speed other than the tea. Atmosphere would be better if we went on another day.

Good food. Good service. Hotel was a bit noisy that night but its part of the game.

Staff are PHENOMENAL and the pizzas are to die for. If you want a proper Italian fired pizza, this is absolute the place to go downtown.

It s a beautiful place with great food. Pizzas were amazing. We ordered a butter nut squash prosciutto, chicken bruschetta and a sandwich. Everything tasted delicious. Our server was on toes and asked many times if we need anything. Highly recommended.

Perfect hotel restaurant. Friendly staff. Sat at the bar for a meal. It gets busy but the bar staff are happy to chat it up. Pizza is there highlight. I ordered the bruschetta pizza which was delicious with a side of Cesar. Pricing falls within range of per diems which is great for those on business. I would find somewhere else to eat price wise if I was on personal budget.

Not happy with this place. I dont like to leave bad reviews but after a week has passed since being here, its been bugging me to post. Whoever thought chips as a proper side needs their head examined. They were garbage. They were way too hard and not even tasty. I barely touched them. Waste. Chicken club sandwich was passable, nothing special at all, I couldve made it myself at home and Im no chef. Prova Caesar was, again, nothing special and quite small, we both thought it was a side when it came. My wife ordered a Margarita and couldnt even drink half of it, as it tasted like someone mixed in a spoonful of salt into the tiny glass. If you want to feel ripped off, this might be the place. Staff are the only reason Im giving 3 stars.

My experience was phenomenal, especially the staff. I went to this restaurant with my family for my graduation and they were the ones that made this day special. The hostess Pooja is the sweetest, most attentive woman and our waitress Sofia was so welcoming and kind too! 10/10 recommend!

I recently visited Prova Bar & Kitchen for lunch, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. One major issue was that the bar was locked during lunchtime, which meant I couldnt order any wine. It was quite perplexing to find the bar closed during what should have been a prime time for customers. However, as I was leaving, they managed to locate the bartender and offered me a glass, which was a bit too late. Moving on to the food, I found it to be just okay. It appeared that many of the ingredients used were processed, which was a disappointment. However, I must admit that the pizzas stood out as the highlight of the meal. They were quite good, although unfortunately, my celiac boss had difficulty being accommodated, which is a significant oversight for a dining establishment. The service at Prova Bar & Kitchen had its fair share of shortcomings as well. The servers assumed that our entire group would be on one bill, even though it was a work lunch with a large table. This assumption led to some confusion and inconvenience. Moreover, the servers also made mistakes with our orders, resulting in my manager receiving her food a staggering 15 minutes after everyone else had been served. It was an unfortunate display of inefficiency. While the servers were generally pleasant, one aspect that grated on our group was the servers habit of speaking to us in a baby voice. This manner of speaking came across as patronizing and irritating to some of us. We would have appreciated being addressed in a normal, respectful manner. Considering the overall experience, I must say that the quality of Prova Bar & Kitchen did not align with its price. If you happen to be staying at the downtown hotel where this establishment is located, I would suggest venturing outside to explore the numerous other delicious dining options Ottawa has to offer. Prova Bar & Kitchen simply does not live up to the culinary standards set by the city. I am awarding it three stars primarily because the staff was friendly, and the experience, while flawed, was not entirely terrible.

Great spot for a bite. Not just if youre staying at the hotel. Food choices around this part of downtown are limited and Prova is great. Big TVs at the bar to watch the game and friendly staff. I tried a few of the choices on the menu and all were great.

After a busy evening where a lot of nearby restaurants were closed, we decided to come to Prova for dinner. The service was friendly and attentive and the decor was very nice. The cocktails were delicious (G-sour, Cosmopolitan and White Cranberry mule). We also ordered the meatball panini and the artichoke and prosciutto pizza. The pizza was phenomenal, I was astonished with the flavours and the quality of all the ingredients. The base of the pizza was perfect, it was better than most pizzerias I ve been to. The meatball panini was quite nice. Overall this was an unexpectedly amazing experience.

Cannot speak for lunch and dinner, but we ordered room service for breakfast and it was from the restaurant. It was pretty expensive for what it was. The oatmeal contained strawberries but the stem was still on them. We had fruits aside, and those were not super fresh (pineapples were white). I also ordered a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. The potatoes were simply boiled baby potatoes. All that without any coffee or beverage. I wont order next year, Tim Hortons is a better option for breakfast.

Truthfully, the I m not sure how the food was because I got so tired of waiting that I left. I stayed two nights at the hotel, planning to eat at prova night 1 and go for drinks night 2. Night 1 I was seated right away then it took 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged I existed. They had clearly forgotten about me since the server asked if I d been helped and was surprised when I said no. I ordered a drink and an appetizer but asked them to come back in 5 mins when I d decided on a main. They came back 30 minutes later with the appetizer. I decided to skip the main, but did ask for a whiskey. I saw my server walk by me 4 times then they disappeared. 15 minutes later I flagged a server down and said cancel the drink and just give me the bill. Nearly an hour for an app and a drink. Night 2 I thought I d give it another shot. Waited at the please be seated stand for ten minutes, even made eye contact with a server. Never even got seated. Bailed and went to a pub on sparks street. The weirdest part is that night 1 there were maybe 5 other diners there, night 2 maybe 6 or 7. It was not super busy, there was no excuse to be basically ignored for two nights. If you re staying at the Delta, don t bother - walk up to sparks. The walk is shorter than a wait at prova.

We went for breakfast buffet on a Sunday. The place is inside the Delta hotel in core downtown. They have continental buffet for 20CAD and Full buffet for 27CAD. Not as many varieties as one expects in a buffet. But the place is very busy and hence a good one to socialise and hang out with friends.

I have just landed in Alberta and I miss the G-Sour, Garry and the gang!!! If you like sours, get a G Sour! If you like sour keys, get a G-Sour!! Food : 5/5

This is my second time dining at Prova. I decided to give it a second chance after not being satisfied with their breakfast options and I m glad I did. The food and service was fantastic. The server, Sadir, is everything a server should be! I ve been in the industry all of my life and I am rarely impressed. He completed the dining experience with grace. The hostess Rosa was also very professional and made me feel welcomed. My compliments to the chef! The Tuna crudo was as marvellous to taste as it was to admire! Even the table besides me was asking me questions about it. What a sight! Great presentation and perfect blend of flavours. My main was a delicious pizza with authentic Italian thin crust and a wonderful sweet after taste. My taste buds were very thankful that day. I will be coming back for the great food and hopefully encounter Sadir again. Cheers

We had just arrived Ottawa and checked in at the hotel. It was a rainy and windy thanksgiving weekend. Provo was part of the Delta hotel, warm n cozy and opened up till late. We ordered the mushroom truffle pizza, butter chicken pizza n a friend chicken sandwich. All the items were too good. Fresh and full of flavours. Pizzas were loaded with mushrooms, cheese n chicken. Their Provo special fries were interesting too:)

Pretty good pizza to be found here. Nice thin crust oven pizza. It is in the Delta hotel and the ambience is not bad - the service at the bar was quick, efficient and nice. I would repeat. MB rating 8.

Disorganized is probably the best word. Had a pretty bad experience here and likely wont try it again. Our server was abrupt and unable to provide a drink menu or recommendations. Once we were able to order we were not checked on and had to ask another server to take our empty glasses, at this point we did not wish to order anything else, and still waited quite a while after that to be able to flag our server down to provide the bill. All staff was much too busy watching the hockey game to focus on serving customers. Including the kitchen staff that kept coming out to check the score.

We stopped in for a quick drink around 5pm. We first asked the hostess what the happy hour deal was as it was advertised out front, she did not know. When our server came, she let us know that the happy hour menu is just a half priced house red, house white, or coors light. We opted instead for a ceasar and a mimosa - the drinks were a bit small and just okay for a $40 bill with tax and tip.

Had the crispy eggplant (very nice), the focaccia (that chili sauce is fantastic), the Caesar salad (too much dressing), and the braised beef orechiette (comfort food at its finest). Review only applies to pizza. Wasnt expecting too much before coming here, and that met expectations. Very average pizza, sloppy distribution of toppings, not cooked evenly. Dough used wasnt worked enough to stretch the gluten. Wouldnt come back. Im picky with pizza and this wasnt worth having. Rest of the table seemed to be pleased, so theres that. Service; however, was exemplary and really attentive. Our server was polite, friendly, and pleasant. Nice open and airy space. Clean and welcoming. Shame about the food.

The food here was excellent but I do have to be honest, it was really hard to make a decision on what to get because the menu had a bunch of weird combinations that I we both would never eat. The staff was excellent here. I am not sure I would come back here I would probably try something different next time.
