Great Chicken Club and great service!

If I m starving and there s nothing else in this mall to eat was a restaurant. The bacon in the famous club tasted like cardboard

I ordered a Cajun chicken sandwich and it was mostly bread and I had to fish for chicken. Mashed potatoes were really bland. I complained and didnt get much of a response. It was very expensive for a 20 dollar sandwich with barely no chicken.

I didn t have food on my visit. I stopped by yesterday between appointments and had a coffee. The atmosphere was nice and the waitress knew the regulars and was very friendly. I didn t have to ask for a refill and was promptly refilled. I had great service. I would return.

I Called and I had poor service. The waitress informed me that I was cutting out, I apologized and went to move to different spot in my apartment. The waitress responded k, lets just get this done . Super rude and unnecessary. Wont be getting breakfast here again.

Smoked meat platter was so basic not even toasted rye bread or mustard for the price :( the portions are very small the milkshake was so cheap also. I do not recommend this restaurant if tou like quality or fair portions.

This 50s diner has a great menu and the food and service are excellent. The chicken avocado club on rye is my fav. Consistently perfect avocado and fresh ingredients. Perfect Banana Split! Check the opening hours and then give it a try. You might be pleasantly surprised!

A shout out to Rockin Johnnys in Westgate. What excellent service!! In and out within less than 40 minutes while on a 1 hour pass from the Royal Ottawa with my friend. Highly recommend them if you are in a hurry on the weekend. Food : 5/5

I cooked there over 20 years ago now. The place was ran by Freeman and Anthony. Those two were awesome people to work for. The waitress were all seasoned and experienced if you know what I mean and they had the best attitude. Sam in the back was always in a great mood as well and lets not forget happy old Floyd who washed dishes. It was a great place work. I was a silly 20yrs old who partied too much back then. I did get fired after being given many chances but i deserved it. I miss this place 20 years after. Very fond memories

Club and poutine was one of the better ones Ive had lately. The server was fast and friendly. Hours are a bit restricted around dinner, so check before you go but Im guessing they are busier for breakfast and lunch.

Meat was a little pink should have asked for well done but thats what i was expecting. Otherwise it was good. Loved the onion rings will be going there again.

This must have been the FASTEST breakfast I ever received. I placed my order and it seriously felt like 2-3 minutes later the server was back with it in hand, hot and exactly how I had ordered it. Super impressed.

Not worth 25$ for the Siroccloin steak. Meat looked thinner than McDonalds beef patty and had no flavor. I should have got the Thai food down the hall . Better quality food for a good price

Old school diner that has appealing ambiance, restaurant seemed clean and waitress was polite with her service yet seemed to hover over us rushing to get us in and out, we came for a late lunch at about 2:30 as a group of 3 there was only 4 other people before us so it was difficult to understand why there was so much rushing? This isnt a fast food restaurant this is a sit-down where yknow youre supposed to ENJOY your meal? MIL ordered pea soup of the day which was more cup sized and overpriced at $6 for pure salt, Gf and I shared an over-priced $18 Reuben platter, the sandwich bread was so soggy it was falling apart and wasnt rye as advertised, fries seemed thawed not even cooked, and the onion rings might as well have been pure oily air there was no texture or onion flavour. Neither of our choices seemed that amazing in the first place but that was the only food option that WASNT just fries and chicken! Desperately needs updating to menu as 99% of it is the same ingredients just re-hashed, theres a reason most of the stores are for lease at Westgate seems rockin Johnnys is ready to blend right in and fade away. Will never be returning.

The breakfast was good and reasonably priced. The staff were nice, service was very quick. However, this location has not been updated or renovated in 20yrs and it shows. Go for the food, service and prices, but dont bother dressing up.

My burger was great. Exactly what I wanted. Onion rings were a little greasy. Their choice of music should have been more appropriate to the style of the era that the restaurant is known for. Service was courteous and quick. Server knew exactly what I wanted.

I ve lived in the neighbourhood for just about 18 years, and this diner has been the go-to for my son and I reliable comfort food and breakfast, very kind hostesses (who stay for years, so I trust they are treated well), and a pink Cadillac sliced in half hanging from the wall, for good measure. It holds a special place in my heart, and I hope they stay open in some fashion when the Westgate Mall redevelopment work happens in the next couple years. Whatever the case, this location has been a big part of my life thank you for the memories you ve allowed me to make.

If the prices werent that high, the place would have more value. The server was rude and simply seemed not to want to be there. I ordered a sandwich, which came with soggy bread and dried out eggs. My gf ordered a salmon bagel which barely had any salmon. Again, the bad review is because the price is absurd when stacked against what you get. On top of that, the server did not even mention. That the coffee (a very normal, store brand coffee) was 3,50$ per cup, not included with breakfast plates. Again, complete non-sense.

Took my kid there for 19th birthday brunch, a little disappointed they had nothing for a birthday. I offered to pay for cake or something if they could bring it with a candle and they refused. The food was quick and tasted good.

When we asked if we could have cash back at the end of our meal the waiter even ran to his car to grab us some coins for our bus fare. Overall the food was decent but the service was incredible.

Had the sausages and eggs and classic eggs Benedict. They were generous portions and very tasty. Our server was friendly, efficient and professional. I believe she was the only server at the time and was able to look after several tables at the same time.

The waitress misunderstood my order, then tried to tell me I was wrong about what was clearly written on the menu. We eventually figured it out but sadly when my food came out it was not very satisfying. I picked off the cheese, thinking thats where the off taste was coming from but Im not sure if that was it. Not the worst food Ive ever eaten, but far from anything Im prepared to pay such an expensive price for. Definitely wont be returning.

I haven t been here in 15 years, was in the area for the first time in a while so much amazing nostalgia! The food was impeccable, got the Bog Johnny Breakfast. Although the sausages were a tad greasy, everything else was great. Great service as well, the ladies were on top of everything! Thank you for a fantastic experience

The food is great. Update: after many years and many breakfast places, rockin Johnnies is the undisputed king of the diner breakfast experience that keeps me coming back. Coffee is hot, service is absolutely awesome. If you know your order you can easily have your food in 5 minutes from the door, and its very consistent in quality.

I have been a customer there for the last 35 yrs and still enjoy their food esp the traditional milkshakes. While I am adventurous when it comes to trying new and fancy goumet meals, there is something secure and comfortable abt eating familar diner food in a 1950-70 setting. I miss the jukebox though. It was a location I walked by for years until recently when I walked in. Courteous and attentive staff, excellent service and a fantastic food menu that beats the competition in the area hands over the quality to the price.

Ordered the Big breakfast off a app. At 19.99$ I found the portion to be small. They do use a decent cut of bacon and the home fries are good. I much prefer Als overall. Their large brekkie comes with 9 slices versus Johnny boys 6. 3.7/5

Great food I got the ultimate breakfast and the eggs were perfect, and the homefries were amazing, Im not entirely sure what they put on the homefries that made it wildly different but it was great Id recommend giving them a try! I dont know if this happened to me or if its just the way they do it, order a chocolate shake and the lady who was serving gave the shake in the mixer steel glass I dont know why she was the only one person serving I respect that but it takes literary 2 sec to put it in the glass. It was looking so bad that I left the diner and ask her to put the plastic glass to go and I left. I dont expect this type of customer service.

They need to play more 50s music there not just todays music as this defeats the purpose of the 50s theme.

I went in through the mall entrance, there was no sign that said wait to be seated so i sat on a bar stool. I waited 5 mins and not one waitress took my order, said it will be a few minutes or even looked at me.

Food was good and large portion for the price. The staff were very friendly. The food was hot, fresh and made in a good amount of time. I would definitely eat there again!

This is available great diner in the Westgate mall on Carling. The mushroom bacon cheeseburger is really great, and you can taste the flame grilled goodness! Service is outstanding and the have plexiglass booths to keep all our germs confined while eating. Try this place out of you are close! Vegetarian options: Plenty of items to choose from if you want to go meat free. Parking: Large lot Kid-friendliness: Booths are rugged and designed for toddlers to stand on- which kids always seem to do! Wheelchair accessibility: Close to door handicap parking

The place is busy for certain, so obviously people like eating there. Service was prompt and friendly. So many choices on the menu it was difficult to determine if some were actually doubles just worded and/or priced differently. Why is rye bread more than white or brown? Regardless, the eggs were cooked well, the omelet was very good (according to husband), the home fries seemed odd apparently as some had a sweetness to them (according to son), but were crunchy outside, soft inside. The bacon could have been cooked longer, a bit too limp, maybe another minute or so. The pancakes werent bad, a little flat/heavy. The French toast was disappointing. Very plain. No cinnamon, no vanilla no nothing. Just egg and milk with a sprinkle of icing sugar. I mean, it was a very basic breakfast with nothing extra or extra flavoring or sprucing up. The prices were moderate enough so I suppose that made it even. Coffee and prompt fill ups were appreciated.

I have been coming here pretty well every 7 weeks for the past 5 years. Today was the worst food and service I have ever received. The waitress (who has served me many times before) was surly, and never smiled or said please or thank you. I had to get up to ask for coffee two times before I got my first cup. I sent the first two cups back because they were insipid, cold, and bitter. I had one mouthful of the third and gave up. My food (fish and onion rings) was over done, and the onion rings were virtually tasteless. After my food arrived, I had to chase down the waitress to get a knife, fork, and napkin. But I did get six containers of cream (I told the waitress I didnt want any) and four teaspoons. They just lost a regular customer.

Great breakfast, quick and efficient, happy servers and always have room for me and my walker... not all places do. Wheelchair accessibility: Not all places have spaces for me and my walker but Rockin Johnnys at Westgate mall does. I think the spots by the mall entrance, where I usually sit, would also lend themselves well to being wheel chair accessible as well.

Breakfast without meat of any kind was possible and fresh and tasty. Poached eggs were done just right. Toast was warm and fresh. Avocado was perfectly ripe. The home fries were a bit too seasoned & seemed to be frozen cubes heated and served. Server was friendly and wait time wss almost nonexistent. A lovely weekday breakfast.

Ordered Big Johnny and breakfast burger . Worst burger I have had in my life. Had to throw the burger in trash after taking a bite. No flavour to the patty. Felt like eating some stale food. Big Johnny was better compared to burger . Made a mistake eating the food from here.
