The food is just as good as ever the fish tacos are a treat even for those who say i dont like fish i would recommend everyone try it out . Nice and close to the canadian tire center on sens game days too

Service and atmosphere - 5 stars. Food is very forgettable. Very subtle flavors, nothing pops or stand out except the mango shrimp taco, tried almost everything on the menu.

Ordered Buffalo chicken tacos, on the menu it clearly states you have a choice of blue cheese or ranch sauce but upon ordering I was told it would be an extra $1 for each Taco. If you are going to start charging for something, you should spend some money and update your menu. Not sure what happened to this location but this year I find prices went up and quality and services have gone down. Extremely disappointed.

A bit pricey but quality of food is definitely excellent for local tacos and they have daily deals to bring it to you for a more affordable cost!

Great vegan options, sauces and meats interchangeable. We went here recently (early October) to try it out and see what its like. For some reason I couldn t see or figure out what was vegan online so I wasn t sure about it. We got 3 tacos and swapped the meats for cauliflower tempura, vegan waigyu beef, and tofu (was fried I think), unfortunately they did not have vegan chicken nuggets at the time. The aioli sauces had vegan options as well! Was really tasty and they do taco Thursdays for cheaper tacos. Good option if you re looking to try something new Vegetarian options: Great vegan substitute for meats and sauces, not sure how to order them online though

Very disappointed. We had a spicey beef bowl. There was very little flavour. The rice was not cooked, it was like eating little stones. In all it was like a bowl of barely warm tasteless mush with little stones.

They were friendly . I used to order here all the time and it was great. I dont know if they changed ownership or became cheap but these reviews must be fake or very old. I ordered a poutine and specifically asked it there was a lot of cheese (willing to pay for extra). They assured me there was and I received mushy half cooked fries with a few strands of grated cheese amounting to a half teaspoon. The fish tacos had nothing but cabbage and I couldnt see nor taste the fish. The Chipotle sauce which used to be great was mayonnaise with a slight orange colour. The lemon slice is literally a quarter of a small slice. The prices are outrageous for what you get. I ate dinner after eating there, cabbage and tiny tortillas couldnt fill a child. It was tasteless and it is unethical how some places arent even serving the food we pay for anymore. Will never return to this place.

First time ordering from here. Had the fish and chips special on Tuesday. Person was very friendly on the phone and answered all questions. Food was cooked excellent and on time. Fish and fries both tasted great when we got home. Thank you!

Great place to grab some cheap eats. Tacos were delicious. A very interesting menu with lots to try. Its not a traditional full service restaurant. You order and pay for your food at the counter and they bring it to you. Our server was very welcoming and friendly!

The food was delicious but took too long to get service. To have only one person to take orders and prepare the food is not acceptable. Will go somewhere else where I will get shorter services. The fish taco was incredible: perfectly cooked fish, fresh slaw, tangy sauce, and soft tortillas. Each bite was a delightful burst of flavors and textures.

Can t recommend these guys enough. I ve been in love with their food since they open. Beef burrito is my go to and I slowly make my way through the poutines. Fish and chips are great too. I have so much trouble choosing what I want, but I know I m going to get something delicious.

Was quite busy on the lunch hour when first visiting strEATS with my wife and daughter. Friendly fella working alone was quite busy so considering this, the food took its time but, once it arrived our meals were really great. Quite enjoyed it, looking forward to stopping in for lunch again.

Ordered a small poutine was very very disappointed. Very small portion almost no gravy and looked like shredded cheese for $9 and the fries were hard and the dish was warm at best not hot by any standards. Moral of the story is wait until the chip trucks open and go there instead. Not impressed not worth it.

First time here at this restaurant and am surprisingly disappointed as Ive seen good reviews. There were 2 Customers in the restaurant and the staff didnt acknowledge us as we stood there for over 5 mins in front of the cash. When we did get finally get their attention, the guy at behind the counter told us that there was a 20+mins before we would get our order (This place is considered as fast food).

First time visit, so didnt really know what to expect. First impressions go a long way. 1. The music was way too loud. 2. The service was great considering she was by herself. 3. The food was good, but not much better than that. My crispy chicken bowl was tasty, but the chicken wasnt hot. Then, my wifes order was partially wrong, but we didnt bother fixing as it wasnt a big deal. Including tip, we spent $ 72 for 3 people and we didnt get any drinks. We might think twice before returning.

Ordered a Poutine online total 14.97 for a regular. For that price you would think they would at least fill up the container. So disappointed it was not even half full. How can you call this a regular poutine

Nice food friendly staff

I have eaten at this location a few times over the last couple of years, and I have noticed a decline in the food quality over the last six months or so. I was in the area and decided to try their lunch combo special. The tacos have a nice presentation and they accommodated my request (no picco, add diced cucumber), however the meat (both chicken and the beef) were dry, and their poutine was stingy with the cheese and gravy (as it has been the last few times as well). Parking: Strip mall parking.

Good place for tacos and burritos

Been hearing a lot of good things about Joeys Tacos and finally made it out at an odd time - 3 pm on a Sunday. Had the fish and the coconut shrimp tacos - OMG the coconut shrimp is good. Each taco is $5.50, which can seem a bit pricey, but they are quite loaded, so Id say value is pretty good. Will definitely be back on Taco Thursday!

It was easy to find, door opened easily enough, with little elevation so a wheelchair or stroller could go in smoothly. The attendant was polite, helpful and knowledgeable. Vegetarian options: They have a selection of vegetarian options for burritos, tacos, bowls and you can customize as well Parking: We parked right in front of the door on a Tuesday night Kid-friendliness: My kids enjoyed the atmosphere, the TV on the wall, the serviette dispenser on the table and the clear glass for their drink. Wheelchair accessibility: The door frame adds a slight incline but its not something that will prevent a wheelchair for entering. I didnt see a push button to automate the door and obviously neither did my kids or they would have used it for sure...

Used to be a family favorite. Last visit was a disaster. The food was bad. Fries were to hard for kids to eat, burgers taste was awful. Even tacos didnt taste right. 80$ for 5 and our kids went home hungry. Total waste of money. Well never go there again.

Waited 25 minutes for our lunch, the cook didnt even start our food, he didnt acknowledge the other customers who waited 15 minutes till they left the restaurant. Once we finally received our food, I disappointed with the portion of the burger and the price (the picture made it look a lot more). The top of my bun was still pretty cold and the cook asked us how it was, I told him that the top of my bun was still cold and his excuse was that the potato buns are served like that (the bottom bun was warm though). He however did replace my meal with fish tacos which were good. I just wanst pleased with the portion what I got and the cold potato bun. I do however respect the cook to replace it with another meal instead

If I could leave a negative 1 start review I would we orders a buffalo poutine and a smash burger, with one fountain drink and it was over 27$. The poutine was and meh, but the burger was disgusting! Two TINY places of plain ground beef the size of not even a slider. The buns where burnt and the sauce was watery and gross. Not to mention we waited over 20 minutes for our food! Will 100% never be back.

Great place to go eat

Use to be our favourite place to get fish and chips and fish tacos as the size for the cost was great! However, I placed an order for myself and some of my staff and was surprised by the price. I am aware prices on everything have gone up, but for what we paid, I am extremely disappointed with what we received. The fish tacos were extremely small with very little toppings, the perogy poutine had only 2 or 3 perogies in it. The fries were soggy and cold. It was not worth the money and based on this experience I will not be back

Usually we enjoy the food and our time at Streats, but today we had pretty poor service to begin with, when the cashier seemed so out of it he couldnt look at us, and completely ignored half of our order. When we were served, only one of us recieved our food and drink. We were then given the second half of the order complimentary for the mistake. To make matters worse, during our meal, my boyfriend choked on a long hair that was in his food. What saved our customer service rating to be above 0 stars is that the other employee processed a refund and appologised for the issues.

I just finished their Haddock & Chips. I was initially disappointed with the portion size ( Im a glutton though) vs the price ($15.99) but I stopped caring once I started eating. Omg that damn fish was good. They made that under pressure as well. The place was packed and they were pumping out orders as fast as they could. I was surprised at the quality of the meal. I figured the rush would reflect poorly on the food but it most certainly did not. Well done Joeys!

Great Baha tacos but the beef one was a bit cold. Not sure if theres new management or what, but despite having a liquor license sticker on the door + beer taps behind the counter, they said they arent allowed to serve alcohol anymore.

Food is delicious! They were very busy when I came to pick up my food so it was a bit behind schedule (which is fine honestly, Ive worked in restaurants before and dont hold that against them because I know it can be impossible sometimes). When I opened my food at home it was missing some items so I had to go back to collect them. Service was very polite but considering I had to drive back with 3 kids in the car it would have been nice to be offered a coupon or something for next time.

I believe somewhere near the end we fought over what fell on the parchment paper. We ended our meal by literally giving the staff a round of applause! I kid you not. It was that good! Heading back tomorrow for taco Tuesday & Thursday, where any taco is $4. Can t wait!

Amazing food the owner Sumit was amazing and prepared the food onsite. The tacos were extremely fresh and crisp. The poutine cheese was very creamy and melted perfectly with the extra hot gravy. Visited this place a few months ago with my friends and brushed off the bad experience, but the overly salted and nasty ranch sauce thing they use still haunts me at night. They drenched my chicken in the most sodium pumped concoction I ve tasted in my life. However, when it came to gravy, they were suddenly portion size conscious because my friend only got a few drops that covered less than half of her fries. Overall, terrible experience and the tasteless food and high prices made our post-exam study meal terrible. Water was really good tho lol. Do yourself a favour and just go to the Asian grocery store a few doors beside it.

Went for the first time last week with my husband. We both got burritos and split a poutine. Everything was delicious and the employees were friendly and answered any questions about the menu that we had. We can t wait to try more!

Yum fish tacos but expensive

First time here and definately not my last. Everything was sooo fresh and delicious from the Fish tacos, Peri Peri Chicken Bowl to the Fish and Chips. The price is a bit on the high side but you get what you pay for. Too bad they ran out of the Soft Shell Crab Bowl....thatll be next. Enjoy!!

I have to sadly update my review. The service at lunch time has gone down hill. You often have to wait 20-30mins for your food. It seems Uber eat / skip the dishes order are being prioritize over people eating in. They only have 2 staff working at lunch time. Today, I saw 2 groups of people asking for a refund and leaving without food. Not to mention, the fries tasted horrible / overcooked, they were super hard and thats with gravy on them.

Got the Mango Shrimp Tacos and they were amazing. Best tacos I ve ever had and would definitely go again. I went in thinking it was a dine-in restaurant but it was more of a self-serve type and the workers were kind enough to bring it to your table after. However, you would need to go to the counter to order and clean up after yourself. I m glad I discovered a new place to enjoy tacos in Ottawa.

From out of town and tried this place based on reviews. They were very accurate, fish and shrimp tacos were perfect and I wish this place was closer to home I would go all the time. I also tried the chicken and thought it was good but too saucy compared to how great the others were.

Both varieties of tacos I tried were good, full of flavour and well made. The small poutine that came with the combo was OK, not the best or worst poutine Ive had. Food was brought out pretty quickly. It was obvious during our visit that cleanliness is taken seriously since the floors had just been washed and the windows were also done during our visit - nice to see. Combo price was reasonable, $4 tacos (Thursday) were good price too but fountain pop is overpriced at $3, in my opinion. We will likely go again.

Ive never had to throw out food for that reason before. The coconut shrimp was well prepared and the dipping sauce was good. Do yourselves a favour and dont get food from this place. Nastiest food Ive ever had. *Edit* Found a couple of staples in the side Mexican poutine. Not only is the food nasty, but its also hazardous!

I ordered every taco on the menu. Taco Thursdays. Very delicious. Cant recommend the vegan taco, because I dont eat vegan. I would highly recommend every taco except for the vegan taco (because vegan stuff is gross)

Good eats but slow.... Shouldnt take 15+ mins when empty to fill an order of 3 poutines

I order from here all the time and they are almost always consistent, which is very good for this type of establishment. Im a huge fan of the beef tacos and have even tried their fish and chips - the first Ive had since my very first experience back in Nova Scotia - and I was NOT disappointed! Theres a little bit for everyone here, and things are clearly always fresh. Give StrEATS a try if you havent!
