An Ottawa tradition since 1934. Famous for our meatball sandwiches, pasta dishes and unique, and original square pizzas. Join us for all the big sporting events, darts, pool, and live music every Friday night. Buono Appetito!
Honestly really disappointed with this bar. We went there for a UFC pay per view on a Saturday. They charge 19.22$ at the door, first ever time I have to pay for a pay per view. Most bars in Ottawa are free for pay per view and they simply expect you to pay via drinks and food. They would probably get more customers if it was free, thus more purchase in menu food. I was also told that the pizza was good at this location, but its far from the truth. We ordered the party pizza meat lover, probably 90% of the pizza is bread with almost no sauce nor meat. Other than that the bar looks cozy. The screens are all well positioned. But will not choose this place for future UFC meet ups.
What's to say? This bar is a classic, a staple. A must-see attraction for Ottawa Bars. The happy hour deals are great, and you will always be welcomed with a smile, a listening bartender, and excellent service. While people rave about the meatball sandwich, I'm a fan of the lasuanga. Nothing crazy fancy, but every bite reminds me of home cooked, quality food made with love. Always a hub for sports, if you are looking for a particular game, there's a good chance they are playing it. Obscure rugby game? Yup. Russian boxing chess? Ok, maybe not that, but on Sundays, the football scene is amazing, and worth a visit. Enjoy! And don't be a dink.
The Meatball Melt is out of this world. The staff are some of the best in the biz ! Trevor Proulx is by far above and beyond one of the best GMs I've ever encountered in the industry !! Bring all your friends out to karaoke on Wednesday Nights With Isaac; you won't be disappointed !!
One of the worst experiences of Italian restaurant. Fettuccini and pasta were tasteless and meatball was awful. Considering the quality, it is overpriced. The restaurant was cold and nobody care about us. Took 15 and nobody came to take the order. I don’t recommend it at all.
I celebrated my girlfriend's friend's birthday at this fantastic spot, and it was an amazing experience! The pizza was absolutely delicious. We all had a blast, and the lively atmosphere made it even more enjoyable. The staff were not only polite but genuinely friendly, adding to the welcoming vibe. I highly recommend checking out this gem for your next outing!
We went for Sunday lunch and had a good time. We were a group of four and ordered a variety of items, including Bruschetta, Shrimp in a Basket, Deep Fried Pickles, The Cadillac, Prescott Medium Pizza, and Vegetarian Mini Pizza. Apart from me, everyone in our group loved the square pizza. I'm not a big fan of it myself, as I prefer thin crust pizzas. Nonetheless, all the food was good, especially the starters. The gravy in the sandwich was also delicious. The ambiance in the restaurant was nice, with plenty of screens to enjoy games, pool tables, and numerous sports artifacts. Overall, it's a good place to hang out!
Historic place with lots of local stories. Great for a drink and chill on the rooftop. Friendly staff and atmosphere. We didn't try the classic meatballs, next time!
Had a great time at the murder mystery April 13th. Cast was fantastic and so much fun. They really drew the crowd in with the endless jokes and entertainment. Movie popcorn was available to munch on during the show. The cost was $49 each, which is fine but was disappointed a beer and glass of wine was over $30. They say no video which I get but is unfortunate as my husband was called up for a hysterical scene I won't ruin. Definitely recommend doing this at least once but go early as parking is a nightmare.
We went for lunch and the food took so long, people literally left. Once we got our food it was soggy and not good in general. Even as we tried to leave we couldn t actually get our bills and it wasn t just us as people from other tables just left without paying in frustration. Do not suggest this place especially if you have any special needs. To get to the bathroom you will need to cross an obstacle course. There is a tent outside and I watched guy after guy hit there head on it.
Great vibes and great service. Owen was excellent at his service.
The glassware at the bar was nasty dirty. Went there with a uncle and now were both super sick. Great place but the were super sick.
Hosted our grandmothers 90th birthday lunch here! Very good service and the food was delicious
We came for karaoke it was great! We had the French onion soup and it was salty but delicious!
Warm atmosphere good people
An Ottawa institution. Recommend the classic meatball Sandwhich or any of the pizzas. Great place to catch the Sens!
Being an Ottawan myself, I consider the Prescott a staple. Its a must. You want real Ottawa? This is one of the spots. Dont think about it. Go. Now!
Service is horrible. Sunday night with only four tables and the service is non-existent. Missing out of drink and food sales because no one comes by when your drink has been empty for 25 mins. Dirty tables and mediocre food.
Great spaghetti.
Been going here since I was kid I love it so much great meatballs good for sports I love you the Prescott
Great place recommended for all to try it out! Order the Cadillac sandwich you will be satisfied. Pool tables live music dartboards and a shuffle board table. Also cool events happen here Visit the website to find out Food : 5/5
Its an institution at this point. Place is well kept, and food is reasonable for the area. Just dont be expected to be blown away by value or anything. Staff always friendly with me, and service is quick. Food : 3/5
The Band UNO was fantastic it was a pleasure to hear their rhythm in perfect harmony.
The cheap Guinness is about all that gets me through the doors these days.
Drinks, customer service and ambience was great! I will go again for sure.
Great atmosphere, lots of servers, I recommend this place.
Cant go wrong with the Prescott. Always a fun place to go! Wish they had Gluten Free meatball sandwiches lol Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza and other foods.. just waiting for a Gluten free meatball sandwich
Honestly one of the worst establishments ever. Food was bad and the place is dirty. They also charge additional fees to their UFC cover which makes zero sense
Excellent! Love the UFC nights!
Great old place that always delivers. Cant beat a square Dewie.
Must try pizzas :)
What a disappointment. It has been a few years since we last were here, and this will be my last time going. The food came out cool warm at best, most likely not the kitchens fault but the server. Two servers were sitting at the bar waiting to start shift and just chatting up with the bartender who was our server. We may have ordered more drinks, but she never bother to come around.
Went for the Taylor Swift Trivia. Loved the food, server was amazing, but there needs to be something put up to stop cheaters on these trivia. The guys next to my partner and I were using chat gpt the whole game. We were torn on what to do, they obviously won and we went to inform staff after the game. Obviously, nothing they can do after, but the games should be either based on how fast you can answer or you need to raise your hand, something like that. When theres prizes involved, you need something in place to stop the people who are there just for the prizes. We were not even close to winning, its just the principle of it all. It ruined the experience for us
Great that the meatball platter hasnt changed, also the dewie special is my favorite
The food was small and wasn t delicious for that price. Service was bad! The dishes were dirty!
Fantastic experience at the porch patio above the Prescott staff were above and beyond will.retirn for sure
Great Deluxe Pizza.
Coming to this place for 45 years. Crispy square pizza and round beers... it just doesnt get any better than this! This is a throwback to a much simpler time where people gathered in large dining halls and enjoyed good food, sports and conversation. It would be a sin not to mention the meatball sandwiches. $40 for a large pizza and $15 for a meatball sandwich is a little steep but I guess thats Justinflation.
Meatball sandwich. What else is left to say :)
Went for the pizza as I remembered it being really good years ago. It was not at all what I remembered. Recipe changed. Nothing special about it. Very disappointed.
It is one of the best meatball sandwiches in Ottawa.
One of my favourite spots to eat in little Italy, been there with my family and friends numerous times and have loved it each time. The Cadillac is my favourite!
We attended 90s Trivia night with friends and had a great time! The service for food and drinks were amazing. The square pizza on point. Light and airy. Our trivia host was entertaining and funny. Looking forward to the next trivia night!
This is my favorite spot in the neighborhood. Trevor, the manager goes above and beyond every time. Sports, Pool tables, Darts..this place has its all. And my son loves it here Kid-friendliness: My son loves the kid menu
Do you like food? This place has food. Its solid. Great place to catch the game or meet up with friends and family.
Food was not the best. Would not recommend the pizza but the meatball was really good. Dessert was a bit overpriced. I was there for a Murder Mystery evening, that was just awwsome.
Very nice local pub that has treated our family for generations
Ben and the staff always take great care of us when we come by. They are hospitable and know how to treat their guests. This is where we go when we re looking for a fun time with great food and service. We always feel welcome and we re never disappointed!
Beautiful rooftop bar/patio. They charge $6 cover plus an added tax on top of the cover? Unheard of. While the atmosphere and food was okay. The service was atrocious. There were maybe 5 tables max and it was hard pressed to get a drink. The drinks were over priced as well. Would not recommend. Save your money.
The new upstairs patio was excellent and as always the service was excellent! While i generally enjoy most food options, the Dewey pizza was strangely tasteless!
Rooftop patio above the Prescott. Cool bar rail that overlooks Preston. Most tables have an umbrella. Limited menu. I had the quesadilla which was very good.
Went for a UFC event and it was awful. We had two servers, one who kept giving us the wrong price for things (she said things were cheaper than they were), and another who barley came by. We put in an order for food and after waiting at least 30 minutes, the first server came by and told us there was a delay and we could just cancel if we wanted. A friend at our table had received their order shortly after, and the quality of food seemed poor. For the amount you pay, it is not worth it. My two drinks were $40 in total. When I asked why the price was double of what the female server told me, the second server explained she was wrong, and its best to drink before coming here to save money. One Vodka Cran was $20 (the most I have ever paid). When I spoke to a manager about it, he gave me a card that offered one free drink after the first was paid for. The drink could only be a beer, or glass of wine. This card also expired June 30th 2024, which was shortly after I was given it. Lastly, the place is so crammed that our table was constantly in the way of servers or anyone playing pool. This meant constanly moving or dodging pool sticks and servers (there were no other tables to move to on the main floor).
Fantastic trivia but didn t eat so can t say one way or the other.
Been coming her since I was a kid lol! Love the meatball sandwich and a nice cold beer. My wife went off the beaten path and vowed to stick with the meatball sandwich next time. Enjoyed the patio. Plain Jane but full of local atmosphere.
Been going here for 60 years and even after the change of ownership it remains the same great place it has always been.
Good food, trivia was a little sketchy slow, prices aren t bad meatball sandwich and sauce are amazing
Good food, server was very friendly. Appreciate the late kitchen time. Stopped in for a bite to eat after a late show. Little bit more expensive than expected, but portions were proportionatly large so it balanced out. It is a bar atmosphere so bear that in mind.
My first time going to The Prescott was for Brooklyn 99 trivia a couple months ago. The food was great and the staff were all very friendly! We look forward to coming back!
Used to love this place. Gone way downhill. Went for a few beers. First one was lukewarm. Ok, not great but not the worst. Next beer, a diff one, was rotten. Brought it back to the bar and the woman said that ya it was the end of an old keg. Ok, so knowingly serving me rotten flat beer. Next beer, yet another diff one obviously, was served to us in smaller glasses. A friend noticed the smaller glasses and we called them out. They were way smaller than pint glasses. Bartender came over apologizing and saying they ran out of pint glasses. Ok, so knowingly ripping us off with smaller glasses. What an absolute disgrace this place is. Shame shame shame. But they apparently have no shame at all.
This place offers great service, the servers are friendly and food arrived quickly at our table !
Kool place
Great food and atmosphere. The famous Cadillac meatball sandwich was amazing and will be back for it next time I m in Ottawa.
We have been going to the Prescott for over 35 years. Tonight we ordered 2 Cadillac sandwiches to go.The takeout entrance was closed and had go through the crowds to the bar to pick up our order only to be completely disappointed . The bread had a sour taste and was extremely soggy, the meatballs were small and overcooked, dark almost burnt and not tender like years past. It was like the meatballs had been reheated multiple times. After a lifetime of patronage we will not be returning and will sharing our experience with our friends and families who also spent many years enjoying The Prescott. You have tarnished a lifetime of memories.
Nothing fancy, just a classic sports bar with delicious food
It has its charm. Depending on the day you can either dine quietly or have a full house watching hockey Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Pizza and salads
We were unfortunately ignored for 10 min until we asked the bartender if there were any servers available for us. We ordered a deluxe medium famous pizza and my picture should speak for itself . Cardboard pizza and undercooked as the server said. Better off going to Pizza Pizza
Love the prescot on a Friday night. Sticks and stones is a really fun band, just wish they would change up the band every one in a while. I would definitely go back with my friends if they had something different.
Nia was amazing!
My family and I went to the Prescott after attending the Tulip festival nearby and had an overall mediocre time. We were given plastic cups for some reason and were ignored most of the time. We came to find out this was because the restaurant is severely understaffed and the servers deal with the brunt of it. Our food was mediocre, bland and sloppy (the Cadillac was enjoyed however). Nia was a good server despite the stress and was apologetic. Hope the restaurant tries harder in the future.
Average sports pub. Wasnt there for too long, very lively a little loud. They do live performances never have actually stayed for one. Potentially will go back because of its location. Vegetarian options: Not many Parking: Location makes it tricky to park
I hadnt been to The Presscott in years and found the staff to be super helpful and friendly like always! I had a chefs salad and it was quite tasty.
Fast and friendly staff, always a pleasure eating here
Perhaps less of a statement on the resto and more on the current economy, but I had two pints and The Cadillac meatball last night and after tax and tip, it comes to $49. Was it with the $? No.
The place is dirty and furniture in rough shape. Absolutely no option for healthy food but the staff is excellent. Very unlikely I will eat again at this place.
Its the Prescott! Meatballs and reasonably priced beer. Not bad as a music venue.
A great place with amazing waitresses and bar tenders. Always look forward to a night out at this local restaurant . Food : 5/5
Love this place . Every time I come , I have to order the meatball platter with fries & coleslaw. Add a couple of quarts of 50 and its a wonderful thing! Fantastic & attentive service at all times. Please dont change, theres not many places like this left. Us old farts gotta have somewhere to go.
We ordered the best-selling sandwich! of meatballs, but the truth is nothing out of this world, a lot of bolognese sauce and nothing gourmet. Actually, this site is only for watching the games!! Vegetarian options: very few options
Had a reservation that we needed to change, and Trever provided some brilliant customer service. The only place we go when were downtown.
This legend of a place has been bought by a Toronto company. They no longer accept cash. So were not going back.
Historical local pub with pool, UFC nights, delicious food and even better staff. Mr. T and the team always take top notch care of their guests
I have been coming here for years. This latest time was the worst experience I have ever had. The meal I ordered came out incorrect and ice cold, the server infromed me because I had taken two bites of the meal they not modify or promo the meal. I won t be back! Buyer beware. Server was the young brown hair male bartender 6pm march 12th.
Great ambiance on a hockey game night
First time there, they made it into a sports bar. Nice rustic, easy-going place. Plenty of drinks, good food. I had the carrot cheesecake which was A+. The servers work hard and are attentive. I would definitely go back. Parking: There is an inexpensive paid lot around the corner.
What happened to this place? Have been 3 times in past couple of months. Service (what service?) is a joke. Begging for the waiters attention to get more drinks. Food orders totally messed up or forgotten. No cutlery or napkins or salt and pepper or anything brought to table. Food was horrible. We had a table of 8 people, and everyone agreed, that was the last time well be going. The Prescott has been a staple gathering spot for birthdays and get togethers for the past 25 years for my group of friends. Sad to see it gone so downhill. There used to be servers who knew what they were doing. Not anymore.
Used to be the spot to go. Im afraid not anymore folks. Service was fine food not so much....
We had a great time at the special Magic show. The magician was funny and very skilled with lots of tricks. It was a blast and I hope they do it again!
The worst service ever. A group of friends went out to celebrate a birthday. The waiter was terrible. We had to call him over every time, and he would just take one order on the table then walk away. I think it took him three tries to get our order. Then, after 3 drinks, he cut us all off. So much for live music and dancing. Dont waste your time and money. Will NEVER return.
I enjoy the Prescott. Its a well needed (now) sports bar on Preston. The food is good (not spectacular, but thats to be expected for a sports bar). The prices are reasonable. Lots of TVs and other games. The staff and management seem to really care and want to make the best possible experience there. It is becoming one of my go tos for after work and weekend drinks and bites.
Great place to get together with old buddies! Service was great!
Have been buying the spaghetti meat sauce to take home and freeze. They just doubled the price. It was sneaky though, they shrunk the containers by more than half and dropped the price per container by about %25. They lost a very longtime loyal patron.
Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday, heard good things about their pizza. It was pretty good! Its a square and sorta deep dish. I asked the difference between a mini and a small, the small is 9 squares and the mini is 4. I should have just got the mini because its filling, but reheated well the next day for lunch. My girlfriend was less enamoured with her nachos. There was a hockey game on and (I think it was) the owner came around with a bucket of pucks with player names on them, said to pick a puck and if your player scored while youre seated hed buy you a 10oz beer.
Good customer service. Happy vibes in the place.
I wouldnt come here for the food (or even the drink), Its really just an old dingy sports bar with some history at best. You can tell all the food was frozen, and I mean all of it. Everything bread related is stale as well. Everything is like 5-10$ more expensive than it should be for frozen food. Over the years its really gone downhill. If youre just there for the community vibes and the TVs or pool bar, then thats fine, but youre overpaying for it, trust me. Its crazy how much theyve inflated their pricing.
My Brookfield high school buddies and I get together for shenanigans once a month when possible. We get excellent friendly service from the staff here, just as we did in our younger days. The food is always fresh and delicious. This is and has been one of the best establishments in this city over the years. My friends and I highly recommend the Prescott Hotel for your gatherings. Thank you to all the staff, special thanks to Shawn for his great sense of humour and friendliness, and to Dave also a fellow Brookfield Alumni. You guys always go above and beyond to give us an enjoyable time at your establishment. Keep up the good work and we will see you at the end of September.
Too loud. Dont come, on a night they have live music. I dont personally like loud music, and my husband, and I, both werent aware ahead of time they were having a live band. We went with his co workers. Kid-friendliness: They allow kids here.
Going bad to worse plastic cups half cold food was a great place to eat guess new owners no longer care about clients this person will not be back only one server on Saturday really????
Always reliable good food food and service ; it s an O-Town hallmark Just wish they d have a pre-programmed 15% tip option on the pay terminal. It s set at 18/20/22% only.
An institution. A must.
Meatball sandwich at the Prescott is certainly a hype. I brought 3 teenage boys to lunch for the experience. Fries were fabulous. The teens commented the slab of hamburger inside the bread should also be drenched with meatsauce so it wouldnt feel grainy and dry. One said it was like chef boyardee. The last teen summed it up it was nothing more than sloppy joes.I personally liked the sauce, slow eaters realize I agree with all of them. Will we come back? Probably not.
Friday nights with live music performance is awesome. Great atmosphere, perfect pizza, which was one of the best Ive ever tried in Ottawa.
Superb time with work colleagues. Tasty drinks and food with a beautiful atmosphere.
A great place to have a reunion of the 1973 Graduating Engineers from Carleton University. We were there 50 plus years ago, and still go there.
So disappointed. Have not been there in a while. We ordered .2 meatball subs, thinking this is what we were getting. We get home to our surprise and have meatball sandwiches. We heard of hot chicken, roast beef or hot turkey sandwich, but never a meatball sandwich. Meatball sub would be much better. So disappointed because it was soggy. Will not be going back any time soon.
Website not updated in years and they know. All prices wrong with most menu items either deleted or not there.
Was told at the end of the night that your business has gone cashless. Being a business owner, I understand the reasons why a company would go cashless. At the same time I disagree with it. If you wont except my Canadian currency, I can not go back.
I find The Prescott to be hit or miss, to be honest. Sometimes, it is a good experience with prompt, attentive service. Other times (such as recently), it has been rather lackluster over all. Food here has been consistently decent, which is a saving grace. Latest experience: We placed a group reservation, which, completely by coincidence, landed on a UFC fight night. Without much warning, we were told that we would have to pay a cover fee of some amount (which changed depending on whom you spoke to) or move to another area of the bar. It would have been appreciated to have been informed when we arrived because our seating location could have been resolved immediately without the need to move. In the end, it was a bit of a farce because the place was far from packed / busy.
Slow service
We had a class reunion there recently and it was great.
Always loved The Prescott ever since saw Cooper Emmerson and King. Through the years. The food and the service surpasses other restaurants!
Honestly not my kind of place but OUR WAITRESS WAS AWESOME & bathrooms clean. I was hanging out with a bunch of colleagues & while they got food & drinks, I only had a water. No one had complaints
Love the place and the history of it but I dont care what you say about covid, over $21 for a pound of wings is ridiculous get over yourselves
Sadly, it is listed here as wheelchair accessible seating and washroom. Ironically, to get to these there are steps as confirmed by a phone call to the business.
Good place to have a drink with friends
You will not find a better French onion soup around...food is good, service great...
Ive been going to the Prescott for more than 40 yrs. and have always enjoyed it. Im dying from Cancer and my Son decided he was going to get me all my favourite things for Mothers Day so he showed up with Meatball Sandwich Platters and a couple of Lasagnas and other restaurant favourites. Im sad to say both were disappointing the French fries were soggy and undercooked, the meatball in the sandwich is the smallest Ive ever gotten and the lasagna was all noodles not enough meatsauce so very dry and too expensive for the serving. Maybe its new owners and they made changes. My son just wanted to make my day special so I told him everything was great I just wasnt hungry.
We went to the Prescott last night for the once legendary square pizza and a few cold pints. Let me just say the pizza is anything but legendary now, in fact it was horrible! Barely hot, under-cooked, congealed cheese... !! The server was very nice but go somewhere else!
A few of us went to the Porch on Preston just above the Prescott and we had a great time! Paul was our server and did an awesome job. Food and drinks were great and the service was fast. Will definitely be heading back there this summer!
Great pub space, good food, and the staff was very nice. A very down to earth place with great food portions!
Such a wonderful sandwich
Excellent staff, cold beer and great food
Always enjoy going to the Prescott. I work in the area, and I often pop in for a quick lunch. The staff know Im in a hurry, and make sure I get out on time. Shout outs to Dave and Sean, always great service!
The Cadillac with fries is legendary. Parking: Plenty of parking but its pretty expensive Food : 5/5 |
I can t believe that a run of the mill pub would charge so much for mass produced beer. The wings were mediocre at a crazy price of $20! I used to go here when things were better priced because it s one of those places where you can come as you are but now, you d be practically alone. I went on a Friday night whereas it use to be packed but there was about 10 people only. The high prices are clearly driving business away and who knows what the logic is of continuing this practice. Using the debit machine forces you to put an 18% tip too without an option to put a dollar amount so you feel cornered into paying too much at the end. Very disappointing and I ll take my business elsewhere like many others.
My better half and I stopped here for lunch a few days ago. It s a scene from the old city, friendly waitresses, great food and we left full! 100% recommended for a taste of old Ottawa!
Classic beer tavern! Great food, beer and service!
Cant beat the meatball sandwich.
I had the Cadillac, and it far exceeded my expectations. Well worth a try, but be warned its a lot of delicious food.
Too casual for my liking and pizza was just ok
The Prescott is the kind of old-fashioned bar/tavern/beer hall that is worth finding in any big city. Simple, unpretentious, and steeped in history. The meatball sandwich is a fixed moment in time.
The best dive in town. Meatballs great. Lasagna is a sleeper hit.
Dreadful. Only offered Bud Light as a beer and no local craft beers. The meatball sandwich was indigestible and as for ambiance being surrounded by TVs showing American Hockey as infinitum its not my choice. Its a time warp that should be put out of existence. Were well past the Men only Montreal Tavern period with stone floors and Wicker Chairs serving unnamed tasteless beer.
Nice place for a party Good Comfort food! Great service! Food : 4/5
Fries are one of the best ever but the pizza was the worst I ve ever had. Nothing about it was good, the dough tasted like croutons and the toppings weren t good either. Based on the pizza I wouldn t come back here. They were short on cooks though not sure if that made a difference today.
Pizza is not up to the standard it was famous for many years. Maybe the recipe has changed or how it made with ingredients? Beer is still good and cold.
So the roof top patio is amazing, great seating and atmosphere, service seems new and inexperienced, also an Italian pub with zero Italian beers broke my heart, nachos were over cooked. However I am aware they have the best meatball sandwich just didnt have the chance to try, I definitely recommend the rooftop mostly for the cozy atmosphere. Probably the best view on preston
Not the same any more. Been coming here for 64 years. Food has fallen off and prices have skyrocketed. They dont pack the place anymore so thats whats killed the atmosphere. Regulars have changed venues.
Cant go wrong with their meals with meatballs. They can accommodate large groups which is a plus. All the meals I had there are good. Its one of my favourite go-to places for a get-together with friends. Parking is either on the street or a big lot off Beech St. Either way, its paid parking although the on-street parking on Beech is free and unlimited after 5:50 pm during the week. Not sure about the weekends.
I guess
The famous square pizza was literally the worst pizza I ve ever had in my life. It tasted like I put a piece of wonder bread with tomato paste and cheese in a toaster oven on broil. Very disappointed.
Its sad to see how they close very early compared to previous owners.
The pizza was the worst Ive ever tasted, but the fries are some of the finest ever. The dough tasted like croutons, and neither the toppings nor anything else about it was decent. I wouldnt return here if it werent for the pizza. They had a shortage of cooks, but its unclear whether it mattered today.
Filling lunches, great service. The parking and air conditioning were great, too!
I visited during midweek and the restaurant was not busy. My waiter is super friendly and service is great. Food is good too!
I wouldnt let my dog eat there. The meatball tasted like it was last weeks frozen meatball, thawed in the microwave. So dry. Only giving one star because I have to enter something. Dissapointed
Ottawa special
Great place for a group, good food and service! Giant parking lot across the street
NO LONGER ACCEPTS CASH! For that it gets a low score, as well food tasted like the food your cafeteria would serve you in elementary (bland and mushy) and for the price??? I expected WAY more. Staff were AMAZING though. Cannot recommend them.
Ordered the smoked meat sandwich with chicken noodle soup. Literally it was two slices of bread and smoked meat on a plate. No mustered in the sandwich and no pickle on the side. The soup was so salty. Will not go back.
Went to private gathering, celebration of life. It was very nice, staff was great.
Great food and price fantastic service from our waiter
Great place for small private gatherings
Great place, they dont take cash, not happy about that!
This was a horrible experience and for the first time in Ottawa i faced something like this. My husband and I went for dinner on Friday night and the restaurant was not super busy. We waited for the waiter Sarah to come and take the order. After 20 mins, my husband went to the counter and requested to order but she said she will be coming at the table to take the order. After waiting 30mins, she didn t come and we saw her taking orders from guests who came after us and just not bothered to come to our table. Eventually after waiting for more than 45 mins, we walked out. We expressed our concern to Sarah and she didn t even bother to apologize for her behaviour. It truly breaks my heart to see such poor customer service.
Nice place, good meatball sandwiches.
The last time I was at The Prescott was 46 years ago. The pizza was like I remembered it. Awesome!
Classic tavern great food a piece of Ottawa history Same great meatball sandwich Food
The P is my local. Its still great but prices keep going up (not their fault) and, in my opinion, the food quality has slipped a bit.
It always seems to be busy at The Prescott. That is a good indication of the quality of the food they serve. People keep coming back. The servers are friendly. The atmosphere is casual.
This plaace not only has been in the same place for almost for a 100 years, but their signature pizza is fantastic!!! Highly recommended... Food
Boy, where do I begin. When I came in, the host, supposedly the manager, stared at his phone for 30 seconds before acknowledging me. Once we sat down, a server didn t come to our table for a while. At the end of the night, we had to wait more than a half hour to get our bills. Go somewhere that cares about their customers.
What a lovely evening all around. Only went in cause of the Guinness sign, but we were all so happy with everything. Our server was a young guy with a mustache and he was awesome and just chill all around. Good food, nice atmosphere and decently priced. Will definitely be back again with the boys.
Fantastic club house with fries, it was a real treat!
Great hangout place!
Was a great place to catch up with a friend, have a drink and chill.
Lovely place - good food and atmosphere. New ownership has injected fresh energy into an old favorite. 10/10 recommend
Had are company christmas party there. Food was good. Service was good...
Great bar for sports, music and good times. Kind staff and great deals! Definitely worth the stop
After multiple bad experiences here, I give up trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Wont be returning.
A staple tavern. One of the al time faves.
I came to this restaurant because Ive heard they have the best meatball Sub in Little Italy. A meatball sub and onion rings it came up to $25 and boy I tell you it was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten or tried to eat I should say its not a sub its hamburger meat between two pieces of bread and they load it full of sauce on top of it it looks like a sloppy joe and they poured meat sauce all over my onion rings thats $25 that I will never get back I will never ever go back to this restaurant they want to claim that they have the best meatball Sub in town you can get a better meatball sub at Subway very disappointed .
A group of us went there for supper a couple of weeks ago, Dec 1st and we did not know that there was a live band and live music at this establishment. We got there about 7 o clock. I expected to leave by 8:30 or so, but we ended up staying right until almost closing at 12:30. The entertainment and crowd interaction with the band was unreal. (I think it was called Sticks and stones) So we stayed at entire time and were told that they are having live music every weekend now on Fridays. We were happy to hear that, as there are not enough really good music Venues anymore In Ottawa. The service was just OK, it seemed there needed to be a few more servers as we had to wait a couple of times for 20 and 30 minutes. But the overall experience was really good So we have to give this a thumbs up.!
New management is pulling out all the stops! Live music with a great house band on Fridays , fun trivia nights and sports that you can actually hear! Nice place, food and friendly service!
The food was not really good, to be honest. The fettuccine Alfredo wasnt creamy. It was very watery and bland. Theres was no taste at all. The meatball was bland. Doesnt feel like its homemade. Fries are not homemade. They were frozen.. I wish it was better. I seriously dont recommend this place. And the music was too loud!
Great hole in the wall! Always a good place for food and drinks!
