This place is quite good but has truly awful hours. Ive a few blocks away for 2 years now and Ive only been once because its only open for 3 hours on weekday. I get that thier they want to serve workers on thier lunch break downtown but it is really frustating as someone who lives here and just wants to eat tasty food sometimes.

Usually love their tacos and always great service, it was my favorite taco place. I have been coming for months every week, sadly today at lunchtime it was a huge miss. There was so much grease from the ground beef tacos that my three tortillas were soaked and leaking everywhere. Unfortunately I will not be back for a while.

Delicious! Tacos (using the smaller more authentic sized tacos) held the right amount of food for a lunch - I had 2. Shrimp in one; Pork Belly in other. Nice add-ins and sauces. Prices are reasonable and good value! And the people there are so pleasant and also ensure that you know what you are getting. Go...you wont regret it!

Visited once while I was staying in Ottawa. I grabbed my lunch (Campechano Bowl) to go and the ordering process was easy and the staff was very helpful with my questions.

One of my other favorite places, close to work, fast service and exquisite food. I asked for a bowl, with some lettuce and chips, belly pork, and small guacamole ($ extra)

We ordered via Ubereats for a work lunch and I cannot say enough great things. They had gluten free and vegetarian options and were great with dietary restrictions. They also labelled everything, making it easy to sort out who got what. Oh, and the food was absolutely delicious!

I have always had the best service. The staff go above and beyond take care of their customers, even making a last minute Valentines box for me because I wasnt going to be in the area the next day. Food is always amazing! Highly recommend!!

Update: The reason for my one-star rating is due to the owners poor handling of customer complaints. Instead of acknowledging their mistakes, they respond defensively and confront customers. Last year, during my first and only visit, I politely mentioned that the hours listed on Google did not match the hours displayed on their door sign, suggesting they update the information. However, instead of acknowledging the oversight, they defensively accused me of not supporting a local business.

Drove all the way from Kanata to come and try this place got there at 12:37 by the time my turn comes the gentleman tells me hes out of everything that today is Wednesday and Wednesday is their busy day. If Wednesday is your busy day you should have been ready not run out of everything at 12:37

Weird to write a passive aggressive response to someone having their time wasted by your business that already has super limited hours and then sold out before that already limited timeframe and then blast it on your instagram like its their fault you wasted their time. Embarrassing.

Fresh food, great people, our go to place for coworking lunch

One of our favourite lunch time treats. The food and service are delightful. The tacos and burrito bowls are full of fresh, delicious ingredients. But honestly my favourite thing is probably the Mayan chocolate cookie.

ToroTreats are some of our all-time favourite desserts! The combinations are super creative and delicious! They freeze super well too so you can buy a bunch at once and store them for when you really need a sweet treat!

I ve found Toro Treats through 613flea and am soo glad I did. The treats are a hit with my family. Especially since they can be frozen and thawed to be enjoyed at a later date. The staff have always been nothing but kind on incredibly busy market days. Cant wait to try the tacos.

Best burrito I ve ever had! My burrito was huge and the beef & pork combined was delicious. Burrito bowl with chicken was also super good. You can choose which toppings & fillings that you want, everything was super fresh and high quality.

Incredible food and daily deals are fire

Came by for a quick lunch to-go. Got a carnitas burrito bowl. The service was friendly, and fast, and they took care in the presentation, even though its a bowl. The food was high quality and tasty, the sauces were great, and the carnitas were tender and juicy. I did find the pieces of carnitas were long and difficult to eat without a knife, which is fairly minor. The bowl, in the 5 minutes it took for me to get home, was not warm or hot, it was cold. Overall it was good though, and Id definitely give them another shot.

Maybe its just that I was there at the end of lunch, but for how much it cost (nearly $20 for 3 tacos with tax and tip), I wasnt super impressed. The carnitas were well seasoned, but not the most tender or flavourful otherwise. Initially I tried to order a burrito and the staff kindly let me know they were out of rice, but they didnt let me know they were also out of the toppings for tacos, so they only came with pickled onions. Also, their hot sauces werent terribly spicy. If youre willing to spend the time, youre probably better off making your own tacos. Perhaps I was just unlucky with my timing, so I hope these guys stick around and get better.

Great place for a quick bite. Simple menu, but well executed. Three tacos ($5 each) makes a good lunch. Flavourful and loaded garnishings. The Burrito ($15) is fully loaded and satisfying.

Came for the large burrito bowl. The bowl was very large, but half full. Food was okay. Disappointed as I had had much better burritos and with larger servings elsewhere. If your looking for a bite and in the neighborhood than give it a try. Otherwise it s nothing special.

Pretty pricey for what amounted to dry meat wraped in a spongy tortilla with some veg sparingly sprinkled on. Sure its filling, but that doesnt make it worth the price

My favourite food here are the bowls, specially the campechano that has 3 different meats with a lot of flavour. The tacos are too small and expensive because you will still be hungry after eating 3. The tres leches cake is delicious and you should always have it with your meal.

When looking for a caterer for a work lunch, I fell upon the Torro Taqueria website and noticed they had catering options. I had not heard of Torro previously. Located on Bank, I walked over and spoke to the owners to ask if they could cater for THE NEXT DAY. They were able to help me out. They prepared us a Build Your Own Taco Station for the office. IT WAS MORE THAN AMAZING. The staff could not stop saying how DELICIOUS the food was. Every ingredient was packaged separately. Very easy to lay out and prepare. The owners are amazing people. The food was amazing. The set up was amazing. If you want to support a local business - its this one ! I HIGHLY recommend Torro Taqueria! Will be going back WEEKLY!

Picked up a taco bowl for lunch, place was very busy! By the time I was up to order, many of the meat choices were gone. Great staff, they were quick and new what they were doing.

Wow, I had the chicken bowl and it was supremely tasty. The chicken was very tender and juicy, and the veggies were nice and fresh. I feel good after eating that and will definitely be ordering again.

We ordered Toro Treats for our office. We already loved the taco bowls and taco which are amazing and so fresh but we wanted something fun for staff that could be sent to their homes while working remotely. Start to finish the process was so easy and turned out amazing. Anthony worked with our budget, made a great separate treat box for a staff member with an allergy and delivered everything in a beautiful box letting us even add a personal note. Such a great idea for a gift or for staff during a time working remotely. Everyone loved it and the treats are delicious and massive! Great way to send a lovely gift and support a local company at the same time.

Consistency isnt great since the quality sometimes depends on whos working on the line but generally good tasting food, cant recommend the selection of hot sauce available enough.

Tasty authentic tacos. A bit expensive but the food is real and nothing fake. That kind of goodness always costs more. The taste more than makes up for it.

Ordered and got delivery via Love Local Delivery so we can support our local businesses as much as possible. The lady over the phone was wonderful and the delivery guy was great too. The food was fantastic! If I were to make one complaint it would be to update their online presence as I thought they were closed on Tuesday and it wasnt until I called that I found they were open. Perhaps a petty complaint especially with the given times and how covid has forced businesses to adapt and change constantly.

Service was great, prices were decent, but the tacos were HORRIBLE. Cold, chewy and flavorless. The torillas were way too thick. Maybe everything was cold and stale because it was about a half hour to closing, but I still would have liked food that was more than just edible. Would not recommend.

I love the tacos and burritos here, usually a big list of proteins and a veggie option for fillings. There s some real weight to the burritos so bring an appetite. If you are in the neighbourhood support local businesses.

The carnitas are amazing! I ve had the tacos, burrito, burrito bowl, and tres leches cake. All good stuff.

I tried the taco fiesta box and desserts boxes. The tacos are very good and the portions are generous. The cookies and sweet treats are rich and scrumptious and will satisfy any sweet tooth. Over the holidays I gifted taco fiestas and sweet treats from Toro Taqueria/Treats to friends and they all were very happy with the food. Definitely Ill come back and support this local business again.

Every time I go to Toros, I have to keep it on the down low, else everybody wants me to get them some too. Needless to say, its really good. Get their Guadalajara bowl, and you wont regret it. Oh and churro donuts!

Very very good tacos. Traditional style with a smaller shell, and topped with an assorted mix of fresh veggies. Really great place to get get a quick lunch, and unlike some of the other taco places in town, you dont need to break the bank to get full. Unfortunately they are not open in the evenings :(

Very good food (lunch taco order) and friendly service. Reasons for not giving 5 stars: - excessive packaging on pre-ordered lunch. Would recommend using multiple sizes of boxes to reduce environmental impact. - Meat could have been better shredded. While the taste was great, it was hard to eat because it was I completely shredded, leading to a chunk falling out of my taco.

Love the slow cooked meats they use, and variety of home made salsas available. Tacos are small, but loaded with meat! Unfortunately they are only open weekdays for lunch. I wanted to try the $1 tacos during the Ritual app deal but they sold out within 10 minutes. I tried one of their bowls for full price and I was not disappointed! At first glance, it didnt look like a ton of food but I was so full halfway through the bowl. I cant wait to go back!

This is a little to gentrified taco stand for my taste. The food was ok, but if youre downtown there are better places to get tacos. If youre looking for a fun hipster vibe, there are more interesting places to get food. The taco shells and most of the desserts are gluten free so this can be a good option if youre looking for quick gluten free fare.

Prepare yourself for a pleasant surprise I work in the downtown core now and have access to many new and different options for lunch that are all walking distance. Every Tuesday for the last month I heard my co-workers say taco tuesday ($1 off tacos) so I finally decided to try this place out, courtesy of the Ritual app. I decided to try the campechano tacos for my first visit. 2 tacos for $9 seems a bit much, and at first sight that was the impression I got when i received my order. Just wait till you bite into these things, you will be surprised as the meat serving is quite generous, theres a huge chunk of barbacoa and carnitas hidden under the fresh and and tasty garnishings. The ingredients complement eachother very well and give a taste of authenticity, although the meat was slightly bland, the other ingredients more than made up for that. The house made tortillas put the tacos together delectibaly and made this taco taste like I was in Mexico. I also added a side of homemade guacamole (i love guacamole and make it at home all the time). I felt the guac was lacking, it was chunks of avocado as oppose to fully mashed avocado, and it didnt include the usually ingrediants liike tomatoes, onions, cilantro. And at that price point they shoud include a side with the tacos rather than charge extra for it. I am looking forward to trying their other tacos soon.

Ok taco, although it was lukewarm. Value is the real problem. The tacos are very small. For someone with a decent appetite you might need 6 tacos for a lunch and that would be around $30.

The taco bowls at lunch time are a delicious, satisfying lunch. The hot sauces could be hotter, and Im still puzzled as to why the staff so clearly dislikes all their customers. If you can get over the service, I would recommend this place for lunch.

This was honestly the most fake taco place Ive ever seen. The tacos were awful. The chicken and pork was so dry I needed to sip water every bite to get it down. My guacamole was flavorless as the avacado was not yet ripe, and my little container had a massive chunk of unblended stiff avocado that I couldnt break with my chip. $17 for 2 small corn tacos and small chips and guac. To top off the experience, you have to bus your own tray, and theres no compost. Why was I pressured to tip? Save your money, this place is a sham.

Had a great taco bowl

I ordered the Poblano y Hongos tacos (2). Although the ingredients are good quality and fresh, I found them too small for $10.50. I was still hungry after eating them. Also, the Ritual menu didnt specify that there was cream in them and I dont eat dairy. The menu on the website says Roasted poblanos, mushrooms and garlic in cream with guacamole. So its very clear, it says in cream. The Ritual menu is different for some reason, it says Creamy roasted poblanos, mushrooms, garlic & guacamole So I thought creamy was talking about the consistency, not that there is actually cream in the taco. Very strange that the Ritual menu is different.
