Went to this location around 6pm Dec 14th Been a long time Pita Pit customer i am a huge fan have been to many different locations ottawa and toronto etc first time at this location the server did not let me choose toppings on pita it was already done handed to me and they chose everything and there was barely anything in it mostly wrap very odd i was super confused and stunned so i just let it be i am always super polite no matter because i work customer service for many years as well pita had to throw out because it had toppings i dont eat so I went and spent more money at another restaurant nearby awful experience
Do not order pickup, missing ingredients in pita even though it was on receipt. 10$ each for a small Gyros Pita is not worth it when there’s very little meat and they forget the tzatziki . You can get a better deal elsewhere.
Where do I begin. Lets start with the employee. Rude. Very impatient. No manners. How he spoke with the lady infront me was baffling. She did nothing wrong. If you hate your job don't take it out on other people. Also the smallest portions even when you get double meat. Save yourself the time and skip this place
Our Dealership always get our Friday lunch from that location, today we went to get our Friday lunch and the guy there was rude to my staff saying he doesn't appreciate big orders (5 bowls) and that he doesn't want us coming anymore, I guess we will take our business somewhere else or another location. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Also was very cheap on the toppings and the bowls where half empty wouldn't feed a kid even.
Pita pit never disappoints; always fresh and delicious! The young man working was friendly.
I haven’t been to Pita Pit in years, and I was glad that things haven’t changed. It was comforting to eat a pita that I used to enjoy in high school 🙂. The staff at this location were friendly and efficient - they worked well together as a team. The only complaint I have is the price - $33 for two pitas and two drinks seems like a lot.
Update [3 years after the initial review] : This Pita Pit location continues to be great at times, and sometimes good enough depending on the employee. We had a stellar employee serve us yesterday, he was incredibly friendly, corteous and went above and beyond his duty. As he was serving us, he would warmly greet other customers and let them know he would be right over at the cash. He was very receptive, animated and very knowledgeable about the sauces and combinations available. Bonus: This stellar employee informed as when casually chatting, that there is such a thing as Pitarito (Pita with Doritos inside). Sure, you may not want to indulge in this often, but if you have a teenager, and they watch their Youtube Secret menus at restaurants, you can impress them by ordering something that is not in the menu. Apparently there's other options as well in that Secret menu, can't wait to go back and find out. I will update this and all my reviews as I find those Hidden menu options. -------------------------------------- Pita pit is delicious and a step above in freshness when compared to other healthy options in the area. Family fell in love with the roasted garlic aioli sauce and the chicken, quinoa pita is incredibly delicious and satisfying. If you have kids, this may be a good way to get them to eat veggies, and if you need something else to convince them, tell them they can have some Yogen Fruz (prepared at Pita Pit) right after the pita!. Service can vary a bit depending on when you visit, but when we visited during the week we had some of the most corteous and professional service experiences I've had the pleasure of enjoying at a restaurant.
Great and fast service at this place
Go here often enough and the pitas are great but there is never more than one person working which makes for long wait times, stressed out employees and annoyed customers.
Pls give the guy working tonight @ 9:30 a raise. He deserves to own the place. 11/10 customer service
Plain ripoff. .stay away... people cannot digest stale veggies and half cooked Meat, just felt sick

The staff seem fine but the tropical sorbet was absolutely disgusting, weve had it once before and it was great but at this location it was very disappointing.
While they claim to be fresh, the service was slow and the ingredients in the front bar looked old. I didnt enjoy the food either. Its no better than bar burrito but the prices are so much higher!
Pita Pit on Hazeldean in Kanata is awesome. The staff is always so friendly. Great service and great food every visit.
Employee Lucas was working all alone, and it was busy. He handled it great, was super efficient and our wraps were awesome!

The food was ok but I was more concerned with the hygiene. The staff failed to change gloves she went from handling the cash to pushing the back door ( God knows what else was touch back there), she came back with a bag of pitas and placed it in the wrap station where she made the wraps and used sharpie all while never changing gloves.
Waited 20 minutes and left without any food. Was not greeted or acknowledged by staff. Waited for nothing. You re better off driving the extra 7 minutes to go to the Eagleson location.

The girl who was working today was probably one of the sweetest employees I have ever seen, she greeted everyone with smile and was so polite.

I placed an order at 9:35 pm, knowing they close at 10 pm. I was told they cannot accept my order because it would take them a very long time to clean out their yogurt machine and they are closing in 40 minutes . This does not make any sense to me and sounds like someone was basically too lazy to put my order through because they are closing in 40 minutes .
Dont choose this restaurant if youre allergic to something!! I am pure vegetarian and ordered falafel wrap, instead they sent chicken wrap. I am not allowed religiously to eat meat and these guys made me eat that. Vegetarian options: Check your food before you eat. It may not vegetarian as youre expecting.
First time here: The girl (sorry didn t get her name) with the septum piercing and greenish streaks in her hair was not only absolutely adorable but great with everything! I ll be back for sure.
Glowing review! - Saw the road sign Get in here for a pita!, proceeded to order the most delicious chicken caesar bacon wrap Ive had in years. Pita Pit feels like a Subway, but this food actually tastes like REAL FOOD! The honey mustard is sooo good, basically plum sauce with how delicious and flavourful it is. They also have cookies and smoothies, my favourite smoothie so far is the choco-banana + whey protein, super satisfying with a home-made taste to it. Also, shoutout to management for still offering wall outlets to charge my phone! So many other restaurants try to block them off to save money or some nonsense like that. Eexcellent customer experience here!

Due to their service and the food they offer, its become my go to for when I want to eat healthy (which is often). My order is a chicken salad with most of the toppings. Its incredibly healthy and delicious. Dietary restrictions: Im Celiac. And having their chicken salad really hits the spot. Sadly, they dont showcase the chicken salad as part of their dishes above.
Amongst the bars and grills of Kanata, its good to see a healthy option The meat is heated up on the grill and there are a number of toppings to choose from
Honestly / for a quick bite the food is really good. I like that it s grilled, the lady while new was awesome and friendly. I ve come here twice and will be back. Vegetarian options: Yes. Loads. Extremely excellent in all categories. Staff make it perfectly exactly the way you want it. VERY fresh vegetables!!!! Unlike subway where they give you sour facial expressions when you ask for more toppings this Pita Pit is there to serve and thats very rare these days. Go there and try this place yourself; you wont be disappointed I can guarantee it.

Expensive as heck. I got a chicken pita, drink and a dime bag of chips.... Over $18. My credit card is jacked. Feels like I will be blasting gravy within the hour.

I love this pita pit. When I travel to Ottawa (once a month or so) I always stop at this pita pit. It has the friendliest staff and the best portions of cheese/veggies Ive ever seen at a pita pit. Its worth the extra few minutes added to my trip to make the stop. This location has never failed to amaze me.

I ordered the black bean pita and found it to be well seasoned and moist. The price was good for the portion size. I highly recommend going there.
I used to love pita pit, however I went there yesterday and the ingredients were frozen, I got a salad. I couldnt eat it. The meat was great but I hope they realize their lettuce is brown and you can see that all the ingredients are completely frozen. I should have said something. I hope the owners read this. Friendly staff.
Great customer service. Missed one sandwich when I picked up the order and they quickly rectified and even delivered to my location in speed time. Exceeded my expectations.
Service at this location has gone down. Weve been a few times and it seems theres always a single employee doing both the cash register and preparing food, which leads to long wait time. The poor employee is overwhelmed. Our pitas have been really small, despite ordering the larger size. It seems they are putting less of everything. I tried to contact Pita Pit through Facebook, they said the store manager would contact me to make it right, but that wasnt the case. We wont be going anymore.
I usually love coming to pita pit and usually have a great experience. I visited this location tonight and was extremely disappointed. There was only one person working- doing the job of cash, grill and dressing the pitas. At first I noticed that the girl working had coloured hair with blue/green- that was in a very loose and messy bun that was hanging over each pita and counter ingredients as she leaned. There is no way that s an acceptable way to wear long hair while preparing food, while people can see you making it no less. To make it even worse, when it came to dressing both pitas that I had ordered, There was a long hair that covered the entire space of where the pitas laid as they are dressed. Which is where mine ended up and touching as they were dressed. I couldn t believe that lack of cleanliness. As someone who can see my food being prepared in front of my eyes, that is completely unacceptable. I did not even touch the pitas I had ordered as I could not stomach the fact that they laid on top of someone else s hair. I will not be back to this location and am extremely dissatisfied with this experience. I figured there was standard held for Pita Pit but clearly not.
Not happy with this location. At other locatiins the pita would be filled with toppings, these pitas were so flat they looked like the sandwiches.

I tried out this place and now I just keep going back. Everything is fresh and enough choices to keep anyones interest. I always add a frozen yogurt dessert made with cherries and Strawberries. A great, quick meal!

They always make delivery drivers wait. Many times the food is ready, sitting there getting cold, and the employees dont even acknowledge the driver that walked in because theyre serving customers. There needs to be a designated delivery area where the food is ready for the driver to grab. Horrible delivery service

You can not only get a great pita with all kinds of choices of meat and vegetables and also a huge menu of different kinds of pitas...they also sell Frozen Yogurt!! Yea, the real kind, just like yogen fruz with low fat vanilla, chocolate, or sorbet with your choice of all sorts of delicious frozen fruit, you get to choose 2 Different kinds to add with your choice of flavoured yogurt!! My fav!

The person making the pita put next to no toppings on the pita and the falafel was barely warm.
Went after gym to get some protein, got cold chicken. Paid for extra chicken, the person who was making it dropped it on the floor in front of me and did not add more. L customer service. Never got this kind of attitude. I d rather pay 10 dollars to shawarma place than $19 for cold pita with half chicken

Guys if you are from Ukraine or Russia you know what shaurma is. There is you can find real shaurma in Canada.
Consistently out of rice (kind of a main component to most items on their menu). Employees constantly mess up the order and do nothing to rectify the issue. They stop serving things 3+ hours before closing time constantly. Go anywhere else
This location has excellent service and the food is always fresh & delicious. I would strongly recommend popping in for a wrap or smoothie if youre in the area. The staff is what really makes this location the place you want to go for your next sandwich!
