I come here often for my lunch break, and the staff are kind, helpful, and consistent. Never had a problem with my order. Quality staff and service.
Homeless people coming in and out. Prep area is dirty and looks like it's hasn't ever been cleaned. Sandwiches will give you the runs so best to avoid altogether. I'm surprised places like this don't get shut down.
Chicken looked like it had a tumor. Extremely poor quality chicken. Only time I had a bad experience at a subway in my life. Avoid this place.
This is the second time I come to this store and the bathroom is always “Out of Order”. Service is very lacking in everything.. and today my son wanted water, the guy in front of me out of coincidence asked for tap water and they said they didn’t have any cups either. I didn’t bother asking.. I did ask for the bathroom since they have another for employees that should be made available while the customers is fixed, but of course it wasn’t.. avoid this location as much as possible.
The service I received by the employee at this location earlier this evening when I went and ordered food for my friends and myself was very unprofessional and rude. I had only asked politely for a small glass of water so I would be able to eat my sub safely so not to have a choking hazard cause it's never wise to eat without having a glass of water or something with you in case food gets stuck in throat or mouth employee rudely said no we have no cups for you. Also when we were adding ingredients onto our subs, some of the ingredients were rotten and brown color specially the lettuce looked brown and slimmy. We ate our subs. Then I needed to use the restroom and restroom was closed for public use which is unacceptable for a restaurant to refuse you to be able to use the restroom to be able to releave yourself and wash up, they keep the restroom closed always cause employees to lazy to clean the restroom. I definitely won't be returning to do business at this location, rude service and serving food that's spoiled.
It is Friday April 28th at 7:56 PM. The guy that works there is so unprofessional. He throws the food on the sandwich he does not care about his job. He is rude with his customers. The store is filthy dirty. It is disgusting do not eat here. It's one of the worst subways in the city.he should be fired
Very disappointed thought I would try the rice bowl they had advertised on TV there windows on various subway restaurants was over priced for the quality and quantity you received the advertisement on windows tv is very deceiving wouldn't recommend to anyone the bread is always fresh the ingredients at times they can very stingy on there topics when I got home opened it up this what I received can do better then this looks like throw it together and its a child size portion
this was a great visit! we originally went to eat at the shawarma place next door but it was too expensive in comparison so we settles for subway. the food was absolutely amazing. the place is very clean, much more clean than any other subways ive been to. the guy who served us was very patient and very friendly. he joked around and later came by to ask how our food was. we were complimenting him between ourselves for at least two days afterwards. great place to have a good eat

This location charges $0.25 for a paper bag for your sub. Puts the least amount of vegetables even if you specifically ask for more. The employees seem to be trained to ignore those requests. Maybe the owner can finally retire after getting a few more quarters in the day. I wonder if the owner will think of the smart idea of charging for napkins, or even charging for paper that wraps your sub! Its best to walk the extra 5 minutes to the mall which seems to run like proper subway. Hopefully more people stop going to this location.
Always FRESH food!
No washrooms. Not on my dime. I walked across the street to Meltwhich. Used a toilet and washed my hands. Nice, clean bathrooms. And, theyre food was delicous. Ill not spend another dime in any Subway. Thats gross, get it together. A plumber is a day at most. Oh ya, I let Ottawa know. Read the city guidelines in regards to restaurants with seating. Gross.
When I asked for more cucumbers the person kept added 3. And I dont know if the company has made the bread smaller. But it was smaller.

This subway isnt as good as the one in the mall. The one in the Rideau centre gives more toppings. This one is also a bit of a rougher location. The staff still handle the space with decorum.
Oh you want toppings? Here is 6 pickles. Can I get triple? Heres 4 more, can I get double all of that? Heres 4 more. I have been here probably 3 times, and each time I go I have to ask them to double or triple each topping (except meat) at least 2-3 times. They try and skimp over and over again and I feel bad for the workers because theyre the ones that were almost definitely told not to give toppings. Just go to the mall...
So sad that they are focusing more on quantity than quality at their peak they are opening 7 new stores in America every day
Good evening, positive rating for this store, initially I was going to leave I thought it would take too long in line but the young man prepares the subway without fear, it is clear that he has experience preparing, and the other attends the checkout super fast the only thing is that that area at night frequented by many street dwellers asking for money and things like that at night should improve security

Staff was great, food was good. The restaurant is a little run down and the windows are always dirty. I still come here. Vegetarian options: I love the veggie patties on a salad. Very best veggie patty in the business. I wish Subway would put the veggie patty on the online app. Please do it!!!

Pay careful attention to what you are charged and ask for a detailed receipt. This location offers Sub of the Day discounts, but charges more than you would pay on the app at the counter.

Everytime I come here they are missing items, latest visit staff was rude and careless. I ve spent four years working for this franchise and know how it should be run. This one is very sad I would recommend taking the extra 5 minutes to walk to the one in the Rideau centre. Service will be better.

Its a perfectly normal Subway, with perfectly normal Subway quality and speed. The storefront is normally pretty clean, the drink fountain could use an extra wipe down once in awhile.
They are very cheap. I ordered a foot long steak and cheese sub and got less steak than whats in a 6 inch. If youre going to be cheap on the portions, lower your sub prices... Ill be going to Rideau Centre from now on. This location also doesnt carry swiss cheese.

This is not the best subway in Ottawa. The portions are small and the manager is kind of rude.

This is the worst service I have ever had! I went today, the 2 girls who worked were very embarrassed, they took orders reluctantly, I had to repeat my sentences 2 or 3 times. At the end I asked for 2 chocolate chips, she charged them to me without give them to me!! I was very disgusted with the service to the point that I didnt want to come back and ask for them. I strongly advise against it!

Terrible service told the employee that the floor in front of the beverage machine was so sticky he should consider cleaning it (as customers don t tend to enjoy having to lean over floors covered in soda to fill their beverages) his reply was If you feel uncomfortable you can eat somewhere else . Wow so arrogant! Also the restaurant couldn t be found on Yelp maybe normally I would have reviewed them there but maybe they just try to minimize the backlash by only being reviewed on google.

Someone already mentioned this in their review but the same thing happened to me except that before cleaning the garbage/counter with the same gloves he walked away with those gloves on while my sub was in the toaster and picked stuff off the floor in the back room with the gloves and didnt change them... then pressed on all the items in, I looked at him when he came back with the gloves and he looked back at me like I was slow. I paid as to not make a scene... will NEVER go there again.

Please go to another subway location... This ones cheap; I asked for tomatoes in my sandwich, the girl put two tiny slices. I thought I had just gone on a bad day, but its common there apparently cause Ive read the reviews and a lot of people are complaining of the same thing... Employees are not friendly. Choose another subway location, theres another one literally two streets from there.

The subway on Dalhousie near Rideau St is probably the best subway Ive been in. The had excellent customer service, the store was extremely clean along with the bathroom. Lastly the food was fresh and delicious.

I don t know who is working at 2:40 pm on Saturday there. But I Got my sub with very little chicken, and vegetables. Looks like I ate only that italian herbs and chese bread. Also, after reading reviews about not changing gloves after garbaging, I am never going to order anything from this place. Subways are my favourite daily part of my life but this was the first time I am disappointed with this subway s service.
Store is as it should be. Just like the rest and up to great standards. Clean, fast, and tasty. As Id come to expect.
Terrible, worker was rude and very disrespectful. Puts on pair of gloves and puts my sandwich in to be toasted which is what I expected, THEN he proceeds to clean off the garbage on top of the board with his gloves, uses the same pair of gloves to put my lettuce into my sandwich. Disgusting, you guys need to go over your sanitary standards again.

Service was extremely slow. They let people who want salads cut the line, which then takes them 5 minutes per salad to make. They were stingy on ingredients (since when is 4 olives on a footlong acceptable?). When I finally got through the cash and got to eat, my toasted sub was ice cold. Save yourself the trouble and go to the Subway inside the Rideau centre instead.

Its subway, what do you expect? The food is ok and the sandwitch artists are friendly but the place is a mess. Staff is fine, they do their job, but the location and upkeep of the venue are lacking, specially compared to the smaller subway 3 blocks away also on Dalhousie. The manager is absolutely incompetent. If there is a line and hes at the register then prepare to get over-charged at random. His level of incompetence is such that his employees have to enlighten him on the menu.
Twice now I go to go in after work around 11;30 and theyre already closed and staff basically wave you away from the door. People like this dont deserve jobs.
