It s cheap but the service is super super slow. We waited 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches to be made when they were the only orders being made. He had to remake mine because he forgot it in the heater and burnt it and remade it wrong. There s so many better Shawarma places and food places around here.

Excellent Shawarma!

UPDATE: They have added a new biriyani to the menu & it is absolutely phenomenal. I was skeptical at first but they gave me a taste before I decided to buy as it was not on the menu yet, I ended up going to the back and shaking hands with the chef because of how it good it was. Best biriyani in the city, I am not even joking about this. On top of that best shawarma hands down. I would recommend adding taziki sauce in your shawarma. The guy working there is very friendly also. Can t beat the deals they have running.

Edit: There s recently been a change in ownership and thus, I went to try their chicken poutine and a shawarma. Both items were definitely better quality than before, but still lacking in some regard. It s now a pretty solid spot I may return to. Ordered a chicken poutine from here. Service was very friendly and didn t take so long. Once it got to eating, I was pretty disappointed. Fries were undercooked and hard and chicken was dry with barely any flavour. Only highlight was the garlic sauce, it was nice and flavourful! Hoping I just had a bad batch because otherwise yikes

This restaurant was a shock to me because it has stellar reviews and yet it was my worst shawarma experience ever. Sure, the garlic sauce is decent but the chicken shawarma itself is horrendously dry, excessively thick and tasteless. I dont know if it was made today but it tasted and felt like leftovers from 2 days ago. Now another reviewer said that this restaurant is piggybacking on the previous owners reputation, keeping the name and the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Im not certain its true but it sounds very plausible and would explain a lot. The guy who served me definitely wasnt Greek.

Absolutely terrible service and food availability (and quality) in the evening. No chicken available and the beef was terrible. Everyday I miss the quality and service provided from the restaurant that was there before, shawarma bits. I will be going to 3 brothers moving forward. Reiterating my immense dissatisfaction AND disappointment.

I am very surprised by the high reviews, this is by far the worst shawarma place Ive been to. When you walk in, the place is excessively hot, and the large number of flies that land on you make you immediately uncomfortable. You are greeted by one person who is facetiming someone very loudly instead of actually serving you. Once you are finally served 10 minutes later, you are given under-seasoned chicken, with about a teaspoon of garlic sauce. I asked for more, but he was too busy talking to someone on the phone to even listen. At this point I wanted to leave, so I didnt say anything. The chicken tasted bland, the salad tasted like it was made days ago, and the rice was nothing special. I am still confused by the high reviews. This experience was so bad I went through the effort of making a review to warn people away. Spend 5 minutes walking to shawarma palace for good shawarma.

The one man who works and answers the phone is extremely rude and unhelpful, just gives excuses on why he doesn t serve food at 9:30pm when it says they close at 1am! I ordered two shawarma plates on a BOGO deal. It turns out they use the Uber BOGO scam and cut the portion size in half and don t bother to include a portion of meat. I ve never had a shawarma plate that only contains 3-4 spoons of rice! This place has been on a spiral. Terrriblleee experience, terrible food. Stingiest shawarma place in town! Overall, I understand this scam because it s a common tactic used to keep restaurants alive, especially when the food is going downhill. But customer satisfaction and honesty is more important than making a few extra bucks.

DO NOT GO. Disgustingly dry chicken with even more disgusting customer service. They swapped out actual beef for cheaper/minced meat, complete disaster after ownership change. Go to 3 brothers the difference is night and day and they will treat you like an actual human being Food

Best garlic fries I had in a long time

Okas Greek & Shawarma deserves applause for their remarkable Shawarma Platter. The fusion of quantity and quality is perfection on a plate. Having ordered it multiple times, I can confidently say it never fails to impress. The flavors, portion, and consistency make it an irresistible choice every time.

Good shawarma place.

The person handling the food only put plastic glove on his right hand, yet was also handling the food with his left hand...which he cleaned by wiping his pants. The shawarma chicken platter definitely didnt look like the picture shown on the menu, just crammed into a takeout container. The chicken was tasteless. Potatoes were not even warm. Rice was dry. I couldnt even eat half of the platter.

I saw the reviews saying the ownership changed and thus the quality does not reflect the 4 star rating. The chicken tastes old, like it was refrigerated and Chef Mike (microwave) reheated it. Also the color of the lettuce and texture of the vegetables is not flattering. Avoid at all costs!!

I m going to make sure no one I know eats here. Never had a more bland and dry chicken shawarma in my life. Should have just went to three brothers I swear to god.The only way to learn really is to make mistakes and I just made one for you by eating here so don t repeat it.

I was very disappointed with my recent visit to this restaurant. The food is not the same quality as it used to be. I was under the impression that this business was purchased by the new owner and they changed the name on Google to be able to keep the same status and reviews as the original owner. This is very deceiving and I don t think it s right to piggy back off of what someone else built especially if you plan on running down the quality. I payed 20$ for a very small portion and low quality veggies and meat. Won t visit again

I was walking past the store after spending the day at the library. I ordered the falafel gyro but they said they were out of falafel. After learning I couldnt have the other options (chicken/beef) he offered to make a vegetarian pita. I went ahead with the option because I was starving. He made a large pita with the regular toppings & added some potatoes inside. He gave it to me on the house & did not let me pay, but I left the equivalent value in the tip jar. The sandwhich was delicious & I just wanted to thank you for the extreme generosity.

Lots of variety here in Ottawa but this gem is unique with their highly flavourful chicken shawarma. The Falafel is always spectacular like the consistent quality customer service . Highly recommend it and worth the trip from anywhere in the city !

Seems maybe the place has reopened under new management? Either way, the food was fresh and tasty. I m very particular about potatoes, and theirs were great. Sauces and veg and shawarma were good, and the service was fast and friendly.

I got two shawarma sandwiches plus a potato salad for just $16 after tax, so I was pretty happy with that!

The walk in special poutine, shawarma, can soda for 12.99 so with tax its 15$ even. Seemed like a decent deal but once I later realized the poutine was the smallest poutine portion Ive ever had , the fries and gravy tasted not bad but definitely not great or even good. They also completely didnt put any cheese on the poutine either. Literally one piece and its not real cheese curds. Avoid the poutine. The shawarma tasted good but they cheaped out on that to. Lost my business for sure.

Raad is super and has some of the best customer service I have seen. Amazing restaurant the food is healthy and isn t dripping with oil like other shawarma places. High quality food and high quality workers, I highly recommend.

This is my favourite place when I want to eat Greek food. The chicken souvlaki is juicy, and everything in their plate is good .

Its good but I dont like the fact that they put the sauce on the meat and rice instead of putting it on the side.

My five stars were vote for Al-Basha Shawarma Bits this one of the best shawarma restaurant with their great owner called Ali(?) and his great groups of staffs, very friendly and talkative service attitude, kings and gentle Arabic Canadians and their smiles; also for their carefully prepared clean and tasty foods, followed food safety procedures made everything looks comfortable and no worries to eat. Once I experienced several times which my two Visa cards payments issues but the owner just smiled and waited with strong patients, he even said just eat and he can treated Tim his meal, later he holder my foods until I came back to Stanton residence close and brought debit card to finish the payment. So sad to see they left away, can t imagine it. If anyone knows where they are, whether they moved to a new place or keep running their restaurant, how to contact them, I will appreciate for your information.

Excellent food

I absolutely love this place and go there very often. The food always looks fresh, the portions are bulky and the quality is always on point. The owner and all of his staff are very nice and a joy to deal with. Particularly Raod who often works the weekends and offers fast service with a positive attitude that keeps regulars like me coming back. Its become my favorite shawarma place to visit in my 8 years living in the Sandy Hill area and I cant recommend it enough!

Really good shawarma, and excellent customer service. Not much else you can ask for from a shawarma place. I miss the lebanese pies they used to have so hopefully those come back once the pandemic is over.

The shawarma poutine is decent, but Ive had to stop going here since the staff never wear masks. Kinda surprised that a food place would ignore health & safety procedures like that during a pandemic

Super nice guy, great food. Its also close to me, so thats convenient, but like if you didnt live as close that would be bad. And sometime I might live far away, but thats like for another time and honestly you should worry about that. Just buy a sandwich its really good and hes nice.

Stopped by here on my way to a friends house. The restaurant was empty and there was one person working, who greeted me and was pretty friendly. The food however was really bad, like really bad... Im not sure if it was the garlic sauce or hummus but it was just so overpowering and just tasted awful. Vegetables seemed a bit old as well with browning on the edges. Gonna have to stick with my favourites on bank St.

I lived near this place for 2 years during my undergrad (which I just finished), and I can easily say their chicken shawarma poutine is the best food I had in Canada (I was an international student). The joy it brought to my life when I was down and blue was unmeasurable. They literally saved me from falling into depression sometimes, just with that amazingly delicious portion of chicken shawarma poutine. Im back home now and dont know if Ill ever come back to Canada, but I will never forget the taste of your food or the kind greetings I received there. So much love.

I blew shawarma bits! When I lived next to this store, I would go there almost every day. The boss and the store staff were so nice. Now that I think about that time, I still thank them very much. The quality of beef and chicken is obviously higher than other stores.
