Service was great. I had the house lager, really nice beer.

This place is open past their posted hours and have committed multiple noise infractions. They have been shut down by By-Law many times. We live in they building and we cannot sleep because of them.

This is a pretty great option overall for what it is and the location. It could use a deep cleaning to remove some stickiness on seats and surfaces.

Great price on beer!

Our server must ve been mid breakup or something. It was the first time in my life I almost asked to speak to the manager. Whoever worked the patio on Thursday June 27th seriously needs more training. Also food was not great

The service from the barkeep was above and beyond... the atmosphere is very nice and the food is above average for a pub. Always parking on Wellington which is an added bonus.

Went for the Friday happy hour listed on the website. They told they dont honor that anymore. Which is fine except they need to update their website. Not a fan of the bait and switch

Expensive garbage food, cold beer though!

The food was absolutely awful. I got the fish and chips and the two pieces of fried fish were basically just fried tasteless batter. The fries were whatever. Best thing on the plate was the coleslaw. My girlfriend got the slider plate, which consisted of jerk chicken, pulled pork and philly steak sliders. The only good one was the pork. The jerk chicken was pure spice, no flavour. The philly steak might as well had been mystery meat and had no cheese on it at all. The drinks were good and service was also good. Atmosphere is unmatched when it comes to watching sports, just stay away from the food.

After my previous review, someone reached out to me to apologize for the miscommunication. Ive been back a couple times and even had the cauliflower wings on the AYCE wings night. The house hot sauce is great, and the local beers are really great (shout out to the Limerick Stout - I lived in Limerick for a couple years and have even reached out to Evergreen to compliment them on a good quality Irish stout!) All the staff are super friendly and attentive and the energy is incredible during the Sens games. Happy to have this place local to my new apartment! Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options, only the cauliflower wings, a salad, and nachos as far as I can recall. Nachos were good if maybe a bit pricey for the size.

Good atmosphere but service was lacking. In two separate instances waitress took our orders and never came back with anything. Got our drinks at the bar ourselves and the waitress then came back and tried to charge us again after we already paid at the bar. Standard pitcher of Moosehead was $38

It got real chaotic and we lost our table but everyone was dope and Ill never trash a bar that has cheap drinks.

I came here with my mom and some friends and we unfortunately had a terrible experience. The atmosphere and food is decent, but the service was awful. The water glasses had soap on them still, and those of us who had gin and tonics found random pieces of some unknown substance floating around in them. Took forever to take our orders and bring our drinks. I believe our server was named Tiffany. On the way out my mom fell on the steps and our server came out and was incredibly rude and condescending Um hi? Mm ya hon you actually cant sit here because its a doorway and people are trying to get in. Okay? As if she had just decided to take a seat and camp out there on the steps. She had an unnecessary amount of attitude for someone who let a customer get that drunk as their server is wrong, she would benefit from retaking a smart serve course. Maybe she would have remembered what she learned had she not been taking shots all night and getting aggresively drunk on the job.

Great service by the bartender Austin. The real star of the show was Laina came here on her recommendation and she wasn t wrong. The new BBQ menus was fire. Although I wish they had brisket or pulled pork.. could be coming soon rumour has it. Overall do recommend. It s a classic tavern great vibes good people and many characters to people watch while sitting on the patio.

AMAZE BALLS SERVICE, wow, I cannot be more impressed with the service, staff was incredible (Lana, and austin) WILL be coming back for the great food, hot chicks( Lana) and just a hell of a good night ALSO food had me coming back for seconds so I WILL be wearing my stretchy pants next time hehe

Super nice bar, sports go wild here! The bartenders, the service, the food and the bathrooms are all exceptional, I dont think Ive ever been to a bar where every stall was its own bathroom! Got like 7 beers and a salad for 60 bucks, definitely my new spot

Atmosphere is definitely sports bar. We were able to watch the formula 1 race without any issues though which was very nice. Cocktails are expensive but they come as 2oz drinks which is good. Our table got all burgers. The patties were very dry and overcooked. Untoasted buns really dried it out even more.

3 stars because of service and atmosphere. Bartenders have always made sure Im ok for drinks etc. What on earth happened to the menu!? YIKES. No one wants to pay $21 for wings. The welly burger was $23 and did not live up to the price. Looks like a menu overhaul happened once Smoque Shack moved in. Go for the pints & stick around for the games.

Wanted to watch Sunday Football with audio and were told not the game we wanted to watch. Nobody in the place when requested this so we left and spent $250 at another bar.

Here on a Saturday. Wait staff was super nice. Food was SO good. Im usually expecting g mediocre food at a sports bar but ot was hecking. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and I got the Buffalo wrap. Prices are reasonable (coach tail was 15 which is mid but not to bad). Not so loud that you cant have a conversation. Really happy we went in here by on a whim.

It is all sports bar. Very well equipped and nicely decorated to create a very nice environment for exactly what it is intended: watching sports in a local bar. The menu is very standard and we had nachos and wings and they were both excellent. Service was very friendly and quick. The beer selection needs to grow. I imagine that when the lock downs are done, the selection of draft beer will improve significantly. I will be back!

My group of four reserved a table on March 3rd for an early dinner. When we arrived the place was empty other than one other table for two in the rear section. The ambience of this newly-opened sports bar is warm and friendly, with attentive and personable wait staff. Bathrooms are at the back of the venue and they are individual cubicles for which one I rated both that and the overall atmosphere one star. The second star is for service excellence. I docked three stars for the food. On order were pizza spring rolls, poutine, hot chicken on white bread, chili cheese dog and a grilled cheese sandwich. Although the food looked appetizing, every dish we ordered was cold when it arrived (other than the pizza rolls--the cheese was actually melted inside of those. They were average tasting.). Surprisingly, the grilled cheese sandwich was forgotten or overlooked by the kitchen and arrived after everyone else at our table was served. It arrived 10 minutes after everything else was on the table. The sandwich was anything BUT grilled. In fact, the bread was still WHITE! And the cheese was not melted inside, nor was the cheese melted on the chili dog or the poutine. The wait staff was apologetic and gave us a 10% discount and brought us an order of fries--on the house--to accompany the cold grilled cheese. We did eat everything because hey! we were hungry! But what a huge disappointment, especially for my parents, who had made the messy winter drive from Brighton to treat their daughter and granddaughter to a fun family meal. Although staff begged kinks in the relatively new system, we all found it difficult to understand how the kitchen had yet to master the art of keeping food warm under a heat lamp PLUS forgetting an order...even though the restaurant was not busy at all. Great sports bar in the Wellington West neighbourhood. Lots of beer on tap and typical bar selection for drinks. Better to go for drinks and a game than for a meal as the food is mediocre. That said, I still think it fits a need in the area - a sports bar that s open late every night. For that, it gets 5 stars.

Great looking place, friendly staff, great food. The only reason Im giving it 2 stars. Is because on two occasions I gave this place a try for takeout. My two orders were the same. I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap and a poutine. The cost was around 22.00$ a little on the high side, but like I said the food was good. My ONLY problem was the portion of the food to the price for take out. Its almost like I was ordering a kids meal. Small sized pita wrap. With 10 fries topped with good gravy and cheese curds. Now I havent eaten in. So I cant say portions are always like this. But the take out boxes were oversized for the small portions of food inside. Now if portions are increased in the future, I would definitely come back.

One of my fave spots in the city! Menu prices are reasonable and food is always delicious. I have gone here several times for birthday parties and to watch sports. There is literally no where better to watch a sporting event. They have a great selection of beer, high-quality food and very friendly service.

I love this spot already! Exactly what the area needed. Such a cozy vibe inside and the staff is awesome. Definitely where you want to be for any sport event or to grab a beer and a bite.

I ve been to all The Senate Tavern s locations and this one is my favorite. Food is phenomenal as well - the Cajun wings are amazing, and their turkey brunch club with (splendidly priced) mimosas are my new go-tos for Sundays! Great place to watch live sports, or just to catch up with friends and family with a good pint or two.

Unbelievable set up, best sports bar in Ottawa hands down. Welcoming staff fu staff. Great food, unreal atmosphere. Attended the brunch a few weeks ago on Sunday, unreal vibe.

One of the best places in the city to watch sports while still keeping a Westboro/Hintonburg trendy vibe. Great beers on tap, awesome cocktail deals, and the staff are 10/10. Soccer, football, hockey, baseball, etc. Truly one of the best TV screen setups in Ottawa.

I ve been to each location that Senate has in town and what amazes me is how each one finds its own charm and fit for the very different neighborhoods they re in. Always a few things in common though and that s good food, great deals on drinks and friendly staff. Keep up the good work Senate!

Love this spot! Tasty food, cold drinks, but the atmosphere is what makes it. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the service is always on point. Definitely a local favourite.

Great selection of beers and way too many televisions to count, including massive screens behind the bar. The sports ticker was great for real time betting, especially during March madness. Everything in the place seemed new, clean washrooms and great service. My friends and I will definitely be back.

Sports bar...but more betting screens than live sports....so maybe a sports book. Limited menu, but certainingly a fun option for wings or burger and beer.

Food and atmosphere was great. But not a 4/5 stars because the All you can eat wings was a ripoff. They only serve 5 wings at a time and by the time your server is back to ask if you want more, it s been 10 mins. For true all you can eat wings it s should be served in bigger portions.

The overall atmosphere was good, had the vibe of a rustic-style sports bar with a very large drink menu to make for a good night out. Service was great as well. However, the food was underwhelming in my opinion. My partner and I had two different burgers, and they were okay at most. Not only that, but I feel as though the food menu itself was very limited.

I really like the look of the bar but I dont think Ill come back. The food was so/so but the drink prices & sizes were ridiculous. The beer pour was also short of a full glass, I wouldnt normally care but if you charge that much for a beer it better be full.

They are very bad neighbours. They blast their music so loudly with the front of their restaurant open you can hear them from several blocks away. I used to like sitting on the patio of The Ministry of Coffee with a good book, but I cant anymore. I feel bad for people living right by them.

We went here before an Escape Room because it was close by and looked good. Two of us thought our food was good, one thought it was OK and one didnt like it. The server was friendly, but clearly not paying attention. She initially brought drinks that looked the same and couldnt remember which was which. Then when we got our bills, she gave us the wrong ones, only realizing after payment went through, and it took 20+ minutes to get things fixed. I was assured my erroneous bill would be refunded, but never saw confirmation of that so well see. The place was also playing football, which is fine, but they were playing it at an obscenely loud volume that was way louder than necessary for how many people were in the place and made it basically impossible to talk. We asked if they could turn it down some and they said it wasnt possible to do. Disappointing overall. Its one of those experiences where I wont write the place off because of it, but itll be a while before we try it again.
