Comfortable chairs and accommodating servers! I ve been here several times this year and last and they re very consistent. The tacos comes out very quickly as well. They serve it family style to which I prefer. I recommend this place to bring friends and families for a chill time. Their pineapple Marg is sublime.

I really enjoy Banditos. Always great service. I always enjoy the guacamole or street corn to start and thsn fish and/or pork tacos. Plus great Margaritas and I like Banditos Brew too. They do need to resurface the patio entry as tripping hazard, but otherwise great spot.

Banditos is great! I go quite often as they make an amazing margarita, they have a good beer selection, everything is priced reasonably, and the food is pretty top notch. Recommend!

One of the best experiences Ive had dining out. Food was great. (Nachos and tacos). Atmosphere was great. (Patio with our dogs in the shade) The service was the best weve had in years. Dont remember her name but we were there for Bluesfest with two bernedoodles and she was telling us about what to do and what to check out. Very friendly.

It was all ok. Menu is limited to Tacos or Nachos, they were good, no salsa, no sour cream. We had the watermelon sangria...very bland not much flavor. The churros were really good.

Two of us were there yesterday mainly for the street corn. I have had it three times before and it was always great. Quite a showpiece. Yesterday it was way overcooked (soft and a bit mushy) and extremely salty. My companion said that it was so salty it hurt her tongue. You get 2 cops for $12.00. I finished one and she finished half a cob. When my companion mentioned that it was too salty to the waitress she replied thats the way they make it. After talking to the manager my companion did get a refund for her corn. I also had a brisket Taco. Again, I have had the street corn there three times previously and it was something to rave about.

Go for the atmosphere, especially on a summer night on the patio. Good drinks, decent tacos. Vegetarian options: Cauliflower taco, tater tots

Good place for a drink & snack

Try the street corn, they will even split the cobs - delicious I love this place in the summer! They have an amazing and huge patio. And they allow well behaved dogs. The menu variety is not huge but if you like tacos!!! Nachos were good too but the street corn, so tasty!

The street corn was the highlight of the food for me - very tasty. I would go back just for a pile of those and a cold beer! The nachos were pretty good - We tried a smoked brisket on it, which was quite flavourful. The patio was pretty pleasant, although I found it felt a bit cramped in the section we were in. The person attending our table was attentive and helpful.

Tacos were great! We really liked the homemade salsa and chips too. Our server was so sweet. One of the tacos that were brought out was not the right one and she immediately solved that issue and brought us the right one. The food was great and the prices were really reasonable too.

The tacos were really average in terms of taste. They were quite small for the price. I got the pork, smoked brisket and fish. The pork was the best taco and what I would recommend. The fish taco had little to no flavour. The smoked brisket was on the dry side. Honestly, was still hungry after eating the 3 tacos. The patio was huge.

Pricy for what you get. Pork 9/10 flavourful with the chimichurri sauce but small for the price. Brisket 6/10 mediocre flavour. I liked how the crispy onion brought some texture to the dish. Fish 1/10 big no as it had no flavour. The hot sauce on the table was able to redeem it slightly but definitely not worth the price.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon to give a try and it did not disappoint! Tasty and affordable tacos well done. The churos were also nice although Im not a big fan of cinnamon. Theres also a DJ on Sunday afternoon, makes the place lively.

Queso was great. Salsa surprisingly lacked flavour. Tortillas were good; great quality. I tried the pork and brisket tacos. The filling (including the meats) lacked flavour. Both the pork and brisket were on the sweeter side (I was not a fan of that). Atmosphere was very welcoming.

Fun Mexican restaurant definitely suited for group gatherings

Best patio and atmosphere in the Glebe by far. This place is bumping all day during the summer especially on nice days. The food is really good and actually affordable, I love the tacos and the tater tot poutine. The margaritas are also really good but I usually go with the house brew because its $7-8 a pint. Vegetarian options: My wife enjoys the cauliflower taco! Dietary restrictions: They clearly label all gluten free items.

Honestly thought it was going to be better than it was, left very disappointed. Me and my friend shared the queso and each got one taco, both dishes were overall underwhelming and lacking in flavor, we both said at least it was edible. The staff were very friendly and kind, and the atmosphere of the patio was great however, so if youre just going to get a drink or beer and sit outside Id highly recommend it, but not for the food.

Great place, great tacos, great people. We had the Cauliflowet vegetarian tacos. Loved those little chips on the top. We came back the very next day to dine again. Would recommend.

This place is pretty solid. We tried 5 different tacos and none of them disappointed. The vibe and aesthetic of the restaurant is cool too.

Got the Famous Nachos but they werent anything amazing. Like other reviewers mentioned, there isnt much tomato, and also no idea why there were radishes on the nachos?! There was something green floating in the water provided at the table as well. The tacos were fine. They arent able to make drinks not listed on the menu, which was unfortunate.

The service was great! Drinks were fantastic, but I got food poisoning from the chicken tacos. I threw up an hour after consuming and Im afraid to order them again. My girlfriend also felt nauseous after having the pork tacos.

Absolutely horrible service! Waited over an hour with almost empty tables on the patio and was told they were staggering seating people because they didn t want to overwhelm the kitchen. This was at noon on the day of the great glebe garage sale where they should have predicted it to be busy. Would never recommend. Ever.

Big line up outside the restaurant, the terrasse is all empty, staff doesnt allow people in because they dont want to overload the cooks, waitress are bored without customers to serve, manager prefer to have people waiting outside rather than inside and serve us to drink. They dont want our money. 45 minutes waiting outside. Stupid.

Waited over an hour to get seated at their opening time (11:30). Finally seated at 12:30. When asked why such a long wait and seeing many open tables and servers standing around, the host said he wants to stagger tables every 10 minutes as to not overwhelm kitchen and servers. When you have a restaurant capacity of 200 people, seating 10 tables in one hour and making everyone wait is ridiculous. Would not recommend this restaurant.

No worth the hype. Food wasn t that good, there was a huge line today (Saturday) during the glebe garage sale and the staff only let people in one table every 10mins. We waited over an hour in line for decent(ish) food. The tacos were $9/each, were small, and the chicken has some runny sauce dripping out of it to make the taco wrap soggy. Apparently they don t have enough kitchen staff to cater to a lot of people even though the patio was open and many tables available. Disappointed and won t go back:$

Service was great and very friendly. Checked on us regularly but not to the point of being annoying. Drinks were amazing. Food is basically just tacos which are very tasty but slightly overpriced for what you get. Expect to pay on average 8$ per taco. Kitchen was great dealing with special allergy requests. There really should be a category for value. I hate taking away points for tasty food.

Really nice place with good food. The tacos are a bit small, I recommend taking at least 3-5 if you want to eat only with that. We also got the nachos to share and they are super approved. The waitresses tend, if you are sitting outside, to come out little (perhaps because there were few people) and so we waited a bit to ask for two forks. They brought a sauce to the table without telling us what it was.

I had a pineapple margarita with tajin, a cauliflower taco and chips and guacamole. The drink and the taco were awesome. The guacamole was a bit bland. The patio was delightful and the service was pretty good! Oh wait I also had the street corn !!! Messy but delish.. definitely not a first date dish!! I would definitely eat here again !

This comment is in no way disparaging the service or the atmosphere which were absolutely excellent. The service staff were very kind to me and my family and the patio is a great space. Owner, if you are reading this, Im a big fan of your replies. They are hilariously irreverent. But the food....? Nothing to write home about. You pay too much for nothing special. I would be very interested to see somebody from anywhere south of the USA compliment this food. Have you ever seen this meme before in the picture I attached? Im sorry it uses the word trash but its really .... whats a better word than not delicious? The meme feels accurate because the taco is served in those metal stands. The beef in my taco was not seasoned. And I dont know why the fish taco had thousand island sauce in it. No lime! The churros were stale and the caramel sauce they came with had the consistency of peanut butter. The food ingredients are fresh and have so much potential, but the end result is not the best. Im glad we got the nachos with no meat because I would not want to see what that tasted like. But Ill tell you what.. The nachos were great (even though they stuck to the parchment paper they were served in). And their house hot sauce was delicious! So good job with that. How can you make such delicious hot sauce but the rest of your menu is so bland? But overall Im happy we visited this restaurant as it was a positive experience if it werent for the food.

Service is cute and fun. Theyre busy, people, they cant tend to your every need every second. As a server myself, they do a great job. My servers have always been great with double checking with kitchen for my allergies. ( Thank you!! ) The tacos are really good. I looove the cauliflower one and sharing the chips and guac with my bestie on the patio. Its got a covered patio so I dont burn which is a plus for me ! I also really like the vibe here and the Arizona hard iced tea is super yummy. My bestie loves the watermelon margarita. Ive also taken my mum here and she really liked the tacos she got. What a lovely place! We had lunch here last Saturday with our kids. They had eaten here previously and recommended it. The server we dealt with was very helpful, noticed I was walking with a cane, and quickly pointed out the accessibility ramp, and was very thoughtful finding comfortable seating for us. The food was wonderful and came to the table quite quickly after we ordered it. The atmosphere outside was fun with good music at a reasonable volume, and lots of shade! I didn t catch our server s name but she did a wonderful job checking in topping up our water, and making sure we were happy with our food. Banditos was a great discovery and I d highly recommend it! Wheelchair accessibility: I use a cane, but they had a ramp that appeared to be wheel chair accessible and decent spacing between tables.

We hate money, we really hate making money. Turned down a large group when empty. I guess they dont understand how money works.

STEVE works during the day and was extremely rude during my lunch with my girlfriend and I. I used to be a regular meeting my girlfriend for lunch or bringing my Dad for dinner. I will never, ever step foot in there again. Never. He destroyed a nice outing. As someone who used to manage restaurants I understand it has gotten boring as people are not going out as much. Long hours, on your feet, and your bartenders are making more than you. If you don t like your job and have got jaded from the years of the same old, don t take it out on your customers regulars or not, do everyone a favour and go find a new job. The craziest thing to me was there was only four customers in the restaurant during what should have been a lunch rush. Rude, rude man with an obvious chip on his shoulder. DO NOT recommend lest you bump into him and are verbally abused as well.

The food is DELICIOUS. The tacos are amazing. The staff are always so nice. The atmosphere is really peaceful, there is music, lots of choices for seats. The decor is really nice, kind of Californian.

Maybe there are better taco options that the ones we picked: we found them to be bland side. The tortillas were great though. Next time I would pick a menu option that isn t a taco. One of my favourite spots in town. Friendly, reliable and efficient kitchen and staff. Great tacos.

I always wondered why there were so many people every time we passed by during the summer. Last week, my friend and I visited, opting to sit inside due to the winter weather. The prices were quite reasonable, and it was delightful to order tacos individually. The extensive selection of tequila added to the experience, and the warm, friendly environment made for a pleasant time. Its a preferred spot, especially when youre with a group.

It was really great that the server was so polite and friendly and accommodating when I asked for no pico digiao on my fish tacos. I had a lovey time I do recommend. Dietary restrictions: I couldnt have tomatoes due to medical reasons, and they didnt have any issue with not putting on the pico degio on my fish tacos.

They have a very nice patio and great staff, the tacos were decent, but youll definitely need to add hot sauce.

The service is 3-4 stars, the food is 4, but music is 1.. electric dance hip hop or whatever that music is called is not to my taste and it does not go with the name of the restaurant, in my opinion. It Is a shame to concentrate to only certain type of clientelle who enjoys such music, especially as the food is great. Not coming back here.

Always a great time, and my favourite patio in Ottawa. Generally speaking their food is awesome, but last time I went I was super disappointed in their jerk fries. Probably the 10th time I order them, and they went from being this super tasty and spicy dish to a pile of bland fries.

I came with my entire family to celebrate my success one of our family members, I kind of was a little shocked that my son had suggested a taco place, but it became so much more.. The food was over the top amazing, very flavourful, everything superseded my expectations!

A bad vibe. Owner has since posted, deleted, and then revised their response to this review. My review stands as written. Just a terrible experience. There really isnt anything on this menu that I would call good value or wow thats sort of interesting. Its a short menu with Tacos that are all overpriced for what they seem to be, and a few sharable bites. The restaurant is a clash between a Mexican grill and a Best Buy LED lighting section, really interesting choices... Theres a bar and TVs. Patio seems to be their bread and butter but in the winter thats a no-go. So we ordered nachos to split and a taco each, not your typical order but I knew immediately that we wouldnt be full leaving. I was caught staring at the Popeyes chicken restaurant across the way that I knew we were destined for given the portion sizes. We ordered the Gordita and the Street pork taco. I think youd probably have to spend upwards of $30 each to be full leaving here, maybe even more to be honest. Theres nothing on the menu that looked filling. After a short time we received the nachos. The nachos were adequate, unique and fairly tasty with the provided sauce. A sliced radish doesnt get you brownie points though, sorry. After finishing the nachos, we waited a bit longer and then we received the Brisket and the Jerk Chicken taco. Wait, what? How did you get both wrong? Genuinely impressed. Like I get one, honest mistake, but 0/2 on flavours? Yikes. Just entirely confused at the whole situation. Its a tough dilemma to be in as a guest. Do I ask for both of these to be remade given two tacos took longer than the nachos to cook and eat? Or do I cut my losses, eat the tacos they gave me and leave, Im hungry after all. So we ate the two bite tacos for $3 a bite and left. For what its worth, the Jerk Chicken taco was awful. I didnt order it, and I didnt like it, particularly didnt care any more because my mouth was watering at the prospect of Popeyes chicken, realizing thats where we should have went in the first place. This is not a place I would frequent again.

Delicious tacos and drinks. Definitely to be repeated! The restaurant terrace is huge and inside is generously soacious. The waitstaff was kind and prompt. There are three parking spots on site, (its not accessible) the rest is street pay parking, 2hours at a time. The ramp is not too steep to get on the patio platform. The menu isnt huge but its kind of nice to have less selection and decisions to make. We ended up getting the waiter to pick for us. He did great! They also had gluten free options but I did t confirm if they have a contamination prevent protocol for celiac disease. The tacos were delicious. The drinks, a Margherita and one virgin watermelon lemonade, were refreshing and tasty. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Bank street wasnt too busy on a Tuesday afternoon. The washrooms are mostly accessible though it wiuld be challenging for a wheel chair or stroller to be in there. There is a koala station in the accessible washroom . Parking: 3 spots, non accessible. Kid-friendliness: They make a simple tacos and fries. There were plenty of kids enjoying lunch. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a long ramp but I wouldnt define it as particularly accessible because of the toilets

I enjoyed my time sitting on the large, shaded patio and watching the Glebe world go by. The patio menu was quite simple, but had the basics covered. I ordered nachos with chicken, and they were good, but at 22$ (+tax + tip), I dont think they are very good value. The days of a large plate of nachos must be over, as I could easily have eaten all of them myself. The pork, fish, and cauliflower tacos were all pretty good, along with the watermelon margarita. Overall, I found Banditos overpriced, but it seems that good value is hard to find these days. The service and their fare were good enough, but it was the tremendous patio and location that will bring me back.

Great tacos and very nice spacious patio with music

Chico and I were looking for grub. We stumbled upon Banditos. I had the Tater Tot Poutine and Chico watched me devour it from his bowl of water under the table. It was great. Chico and I will return - he wants to try the spicy margarita.

Loved their patio, the staff was super friendly and the food was very tasty! I had the pollo con queso dish with rice side.

The street corn is second to none - a true burst of fabulous flavours

We went to eat at Banditos as a family with young kids. We ordered the Nachos and Tacos (fish, jerk chicken and brisket). The food was good, but nothing special. There was explicit loud music with loud swearing which was far from family friendly. We were told to sit outside because the A/C was broken inside. The service we received was good. Overall, not terrible, but nothing out of the ordinary. Kid-friendliness: They have high chair, but not boosters. Their highchair was one of the worse models we encountered. There was no microwave in the kitchen to reheat baby food. The music was explicit with loud swearing.

Enjoyable.

Had excellent nachos with smoked brisket. The chips were light and flavourful and the brisket tender. Unlike most nachos, a salsa wasn t an ingredient so the chips weren t soggy but had a nice cream topping adding just enough moisture. Thumbs up

A giant patio to enjoy your tacos on! They are very accommodating and make sure you have a great experience. Lots of tacos to choose from, some better than others. I would recommend the pork based tacos. They also have a kids menu which is awesome. You can bring your kids and choose a simple meal while you enjoy some delicious tacos!

A friendly Mexican spot with a wide variety of delicious tacos. These aren t your fancy tacos more like traditional hearty tacos. Loved the Gordita and the brisket. Check it out for a laid back atmosphere and tasty tacos.

Great Nachos, tacos. Was not very impressed by churos. Amazing cocktail. The place looks good and comfortable Patio seats. Bit on pricier side but definitely worth it.

Its always a pleasure eating here. The patio is great though space inside is limited. The food here always stands out. If you enjoy spice, try their jerk chicken!

THREE VISIT REVIEW: This is a really nice Mexican food place. The menu is mostly tacos, but they are very good. The pork and brisket tacos are excellent. The atmosphere is Cali-Mex, so dont expect marachi bands and Pancho Villa decorating the walls... instead you get a great bar, decent beer selection, and a giant outdoor patio. Bathrooms were always clean and owner is regularly on-site for quality control. I would bring friends.

The food and atmosphere was a little dated, the drinks werent great. For example, their watermelon sangria was basically a big glass of ice. The service was amazing though, extremely attentive wait staff.

Could not recommend this enough! Found this place on a tiktok video, I brought my boyfriend and sister and recommended it to my friends, they all agree with how great this place is! The best nachos I ve ever had! The tacos, the drinks and all of the Tex-mex sides you could ever want, the staff is so incredibly kind and good at their jobs, their service is on point! They even have different hot sauces on rotation, with a variation in the spice level (my favourite was the guava). Their shaken margaritas are great for tequila lovers and their other drinks are perfect if you want to have a good time.

Eat inside, I must say nice terrasse(patio) exterior, must be nice during summer. Food ok, could be more generous for the price. Had better elsewhere its why I can not give 4 ot 5*.

This little hole in the wall is absolutely amazing. Great Mexican food.... the street corn is phenomenal!

Looking forward to coming back In the summer. We came during down season to celebrate our 23 year anniversary and check out the place because summer here looks amazing. Good food, good staff. Well be back. See ya soon.

Loved the food and ambience! We went with our 6 year old and had a great time. They had a coloring sheet with a kids menu and great choices for kids meals too. We will be going back to try more things from their menu.

The food is overpriced and very basic, the tacos are $7.25 for one! And they don t even warm your tortilla. I will never go back to pay that much for a taco. Walk 5 mins south to the other taco shops. The amount of canola oil that dripped out of our tacos was off putting, about a tablespoon of oil dripped from each taco The cocktails were very good, and the service was top notch. Just save your money for food elsewhere
