The staff here is extremely kind and I always enjoy my food! This is a great Thaï option.

So I came here with 2 people to eat and ordered Stir Fry and based on the menu the price is $10.78 and the person charged me $16 something. I asked him why did he charge me more and the comment from him the price is from years ago on the menu and the new price is not displayed after 9:30 is this legal to say that it s $10.78 and then charge almost double?

I think they should take the word express out of the name and just call it Thai. Since the new people took over service is extremely slow. Waited 25 mins for two dishes

Got in late from a flight a wanted some food Went here and ordered Food was good service was good Got take out so I could get to the hotel And when I got there the food was still really hot which was nice So many places now you pay a premium and your food is just lukewarm Woke up to plate smoking hot here every time

The food I was just served for take out, tasted like reheated, burnt garbage, the chicken was either freezer burnt or going rotten, inedible.

Do not go to this location, under new management, very bad quality food. Stinks chicken

Highly disappointed. Ive usually enjoyed great food at all Thai Express locations but poor food quality. Chicken was raw and hard and curry had minimal gravy to it and 80% was rice on the dish.

I did not like the drinks it had too much sugar and coffe.

We ate there in June, and it was an amazing experience. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. The food was delicious. Thank you very much for the excellent service!

18$ wasted. Second time going there and being disappointed. General thai is way over cooked and almost no sauce. leaving you with a dry bowl of rice with overcooked chicken. Go somewhere else.

I used to like this place but it has gone downhill. The meat quality was poor, as I could taste freezer burnt beef. The flavor was pretty bland as well. I would not say calling this Express is really appropriate, since I seem to wait 15-20 minutes everytime while they cook 20 Uber eats orders in front of me. Wont be going back.

Got the red curry with extra sauce. Veggies were burnt and all they did for extra sauce was water it down. Was terrible. Very disappointing as Thai express is one of my favourite takeout places.

MAGGOTS crawling around on the tables around our food and on the floor in the dining area. I wanted to throw up, left immediately. Seems like a health code violation or hazard, someone s gonna get sick. I took a video I wish it would let me add to this review.. beware

The lady that works here is so amazingly kind. She always makes me and my kids feel so welcome and very much like family. Food is excellent and service is even better. The only Thaï express I go too! Highly recommend

Consistently Great Thai food

Good food & very friendly

Food was good but I was shocked by the portion sizes this time around! Not only did prices go up significantly, but the portion sizes were half the usual! The cake in a box used to be $6 for twice the size. Now it s $8.10 for half the size. We got two pad Thai and the bowls arrived and were only half full. I know we are dealing with either inflation or shrinkflation .but this is the first time I ve seen both at once. Not the individual restaurants fault I guess, but company wide, this seems crazy

I ve had Thai Express many times and felt the taste wasn t the same - they did seem really busy though. Lady was really friendly and gave me a free sample, which was nice. Got Pad Thai with tofu and a Thai Soup with Chicken, but they accidentally put tofu in the soup as well. The tofu was not good at all, so it sucked to have them in both dishes.

Best thai express Ive had in a long time So flavorful and when I asked for extra spicy it was just the perfect amount of spice and exactly what I wanted Plus the lady at the counter was very friendly and always smiling and she gave us a couple chicken balls with our order for free Will definitely be dropping by again

I ordered food from here today, the store was not very clean at all, which was an immediate issue but I ordered anyway, and she gave the napkins and fork to me in my hand not in the tray, which I didnt like but its okay, but then suddenly the man sitting in the restaurant eating who was in the middle of eating his food got up and went to the kitchen and started cooking my meal, without even washing his hands or anything. When I questioned it the woman said thats your standard, as if asking him to wash his hands was completely out of the norm and I was asking for too much! Hand washing is the most basic hygienic practice for any food service business. Completely unacceptable.

I had to show them the seasonal special advertisement for the restaurant to honour the price. No pops available because no CO2 connected. Can only choose the juice option. My lemonade was not tasting right. There was an after taste of soap. I do not recommend.

I love this place. I go here two times a week usually for lunch. The lady that always takes my order is awesome. The food tastes great and I always feel good after. This place has turned me onto Thai express and I m hooked.

Of all the locations in Ottawa, this one s my favourite. The food taste better for some reason. The service can t be beat. They are always so sweet and happy to see people. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options too! . Dietary restrictions: Cauliflower rice can be use in all dishes to substitute rice or noodles

Great Location ... & the food is always tasty. Yesterday we ordered ... Pad Thai & Dumplings ... The service is sometimes a bit slow, but I am OK with waiting a bit if my order is right... but recently we have noticed that the portions of peanuts for the Pad Thai & peanut sauce for the dumplings keeps shrinking... They use to just give it to you without asking but now if you forget to ask .. you dont get it & the portions are small so when I asked for more ... the owner says next time you have to pay extra. :(

Quite a flavourful chicken pad Thai. The lady manager was kind, welcoming and generous. The meal was cooked in a timely fashion. One can dine in or have a takeout. Place was cozy and the hours of operations are convenient. This place is well recommended!

This location has the best food of all Barrhaven locations. The flavours here are distinct and the quality of the ingredients are very good. Plus, the lady on cash gave us 2 spring rolls on the house because we looked like busy students (we are). So kind and generous of her! She made our day. Will return here every time we want Thai Express.

Every time we have gotten food from this location, there is hair in it. Every. Time. Last time it was multiple hairs in a Tom Yum soup. Food is made carelessly. Would recommend another location if possible.

Ive been going here a ton lately with my dad for our movie night takeout and the lady who always serves us is the sweetest person She always asks how we are doing, is super friendly and we usually find a surprise treat in our bag like extra dumplings or springrolls! Im always happy to support this business.

Try Thai Express on Hunt Club once, and you will become a regular. Ordered online for pickup twice in the past month, the food was incredible with huge portions and excellent flavor. They treat their customers extremely well, very impressed!

Best Thai express in Ottawa. More veggies in pad sew then elsewhere. Chicken dumplings are the best. Fried chicken wings are less known but surprisingly good, different then any other fried wings. Their ice cream is so unique too, amazing tropical flavour. I also love their interior decorations, neat, clean and lots of beautiful plants. Owner is so nice and friendly, always smile.

We bought two general Thai plates and it was the most disgusting fast food I have ever tasted. I can tell the frying oil was old and burnt, chicken was rubbery and chewy, beef looked unappealing and tasted nothing like beef. Other locations have much better quality than this location.

The restaurant is obviously not allowing sit down customers; they are now using their banquette seating as takeout container storage. Aside from that, the rest of the restaurant (from a public viewpoint) appeared to be clean, the service was very courteous, and the food was spot on! Definitely a keeper for our takeout haunt location list.

I ordered a tofu green curry which was wonderful. After I ordered the server gave me a treat and told me it was vegetarian and didnt have any meat. So thoughtful! Highly recommend :)

Honestly the best location in Ottawa! Super friendly staff, always great service and they pay close attention to your order. They were giving out free dumplings as a sample but when I ordered a vegan meal they switched mine to a free spring roll instead. The next time we went the woman recognized us and offered us free drinks AND spring rolls. Highly recommend!

Great restaurant. The staff are super nice. The food is great. My girlfriend and I got one Pad Thai for lunch and it was plenty to feed both of us at a reasonable price ($11.50 with tax). Highly recommended. They have a bucket full of crushed peanuts that you can add to your dish as well as limes and various sauces to add heat/flavour to your dish as desired.

Just came back from Thai Express today. The staff were attentive and friendly. The facilities clean and pristine. I ordered a delicious soup and chicken wings. Before we left we were treated with spring rolls. Ive always liked this place. Will continue going or having food delivered directly from this location.

Super clean and Covid safe. Needs a mask to enter and social distancing is respected. The kitchen appears to be very clean from the front. Staff wear proper equipment to maintain cleanliness. Food was amazing, it was very nourishing and delicious. Couldn t help but take a picture of my and my moms Thai Soup. The spring roles were equally delicious and hot when we received them. Other locations had them stone cold so that was a nice switch. The person who took our order was very kind and we talked a bit. She helped us with our order and pointed out other things we should try next time. If there is any Thai Express you visit, visit this one. Best in Ottawa.

Very kind and friendly service. Very tasty and generous servings. Clean, prompt, health and safety measures were in place for the pandemic. Our son was given an extra treat for his birthday. We chose this location for the high ratings and we were very pleased with the service and food.

Came here about 2 days ago AND WOW this Thai express location specifically w.hunt club is FANTASTIC! Every time I come here the food is consistently served correctly and with incredible portions. I live in Barrhaven and I was about to swear off Thai express as the Barrhaven location always burns my #6 cashew stir fry but I can truly say this huntclub location is awesome! Totally going to come back next time I want some Thai; now is a great time to support local and these guys really do deserve it! Glad to be able to say that as most people typically just care about the money and pushing out orders quickly.

I went there today and I loved it! The cashier was just the sweetest and the cooks were so friendly! The place was in good shape and the food was good and they were able to accomodate my dish to my vegetarian diet which I greatly appreciated. Overall a 5 star location! I definetly recomend.

Thai Express is our new favourite place to eat. We discovered the Hunt Club location a few weeks back. The food was amazing and the service was even better. They gave us free spring rolls to eat while we waited for our main dishes. They checked on us to make sure our food was satisfactory and even gave us a free bottled water at the end of our meal. Well done Thai Express!!

This location offers great food and friendly, fast service . The cashier always greets you with a friendly smile and is very personable. They will often include a small treat with your meal (Spring Roll or Dumpling) which is a great touch. I would definitely recommend this location.

The guys there are so nice and polite. Always give some extras like extra dumpling or chicken wings for free. Didnt know chain restaurants like this can have such different service. Definitely recommend.

So just when I thought Costumer Service was a lost art heres what happened to me yesterday. I was waiting for my winter tune up on the Mercedes and decided to go to THAI EXPRESS ( on Hunt Club/Merivale) for the free WIFI and while I was there purchased a small tom yum soup. I ended up only drinking the broth and leaving the shrimp and noodles behind. After two hours I went to the cash and ask for a take out container and I ask the wonder Asian lady for some extra broth ( which I fully intended on paying for ). Not only did she not not charge me for it but she refused to take the money I had put down on the counter. Thank you wonderful Asian lady for restoring my faith!!! I will be back !!!

I went in after another busy day at the office with greasy hair, unplucked eye brows, sporting my Michael Kors laptop purse. I was treated like a VIP for no reason other than I probably appeared to be an exhausted train wreck of a yuppie. She read me like a book. Thank you very much; I appreciate your above and beyond efforts, and the free imperial roll.
