Vegetarian + Vegan Restaurant and Juice Bar. Fully licensed.
I wasn't aware that the pure kitchen fantastic noodles are not consistent across each pure kitchen. I was very disappointed in the crispy Tofu that I got instead of the previous version which wasn't crispy. It tasted almost sour and didn't go well with the peanut butter dressing of the fantastic noodles.
The restaurant is on a nice big corner in the Byward Market and near the mall. We wanted something a little lighter, so we stopped in at this vegetarian place. The severs were friendly, but could have communicated more clearly and the food was underwhelming. The sauce for the dumplings tasted like soy with a bit of chili oil. It needed a little more rice vinegar to make it less one-note. The tacos were okay, but were essentially charred broccoli in a tortilla. The noodle bowl was tasty, but was overpriced considering the cost of the ingredients. The kids happy bites meal was quite plain and had a sauce that had a little too much kick to it for younger children. We also ordered the kids fries and it was all leftover fry bits less than an inch long. There is potential here, but it needs more refinement or a lower price point.
We had lunch at Pure Kitchen Rideau in Ottawa’s Byward Market, and the food was amazing! We tried the loaded sweet potato fries, which were fantastic, the Awesome Burger, as its name suggests, and the Crispy Chick’un Sandwich, which was superb. The kids' meals are free, and the service was among the best we’ve experienced. A big thank you to Emera for taking care of us! Highly recommended!
We had a great dinner here, both us and the kids absolutely loved the food and smoothies. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The staff is very friendly. Great selection choice for a vegetarian restaurant. The Mellow Patty Melt was delicious and my wife enjoyed her Groovy Grilled Cheese. The salad dressing was too heavy on our salads, but the staff was apologetic and gave us a discount. Worth the visit if you're looking for a vegetarian option.
The food and the service was amazing! I really enjoyed the nachos with guac and the vegan chick’n sandwich, and the outdoor seating was nice for having conversation and enjoying the scenery. They even charged my phone for me! Definitely recommend coming to eat here 🔥.
Ottawa, no city you visit will give you a great experience (even despite the weather) if there is no place to eat according to your lifestyle. Luckily, places like this make our lives better, in a world where you can identify with whatever, is still hash to be VEGAN. Dine in on 23feb2024, delicious food, good price and lovely staff. The coffee was the best I have had in CA on my stay. Keep the good work guys and I really hope you won't be forced to close!
I will preface this review with the fact that I am not vegetarian. I went specifically for the Buffalo cauliflower bites, which were incredible, and well worth the hype. The service was very helpful and the atmosphere was really nice! 👌 Radical cauliflower Buffalo wings (5/5) -huge portion -delicious spicy flavor -tastes legitimately like Buffalo wings! -ranch dip was great Cheerful sandwich (3/5) -tempeh bacon did not remotely taste anything like bacon and it's flavor and consistency was strange and unenjoyable in my opinion -the salad was very good Snack size prosperous dip (3.8/5) -generous portion -filing and healthy but limited flavor
Excellent food, most gentle service and extra kids-friendly Vegetarian options: Entirely vegan menu with very good choices even for non-vegans Kid-friendliness: Kids under 10 eat for free, pencils and placemats to draw, lots of space
Im happy they close because the food and service was horrible
Delicious burgers, generous portions and amazing peanut butter cookies. Gluten free options as well, which I really appreciated!
Fresh greens fill the bowl, Flavor blooms in every bite, Wellness on the plate. Food : 5/5
Love this place! The food is sooo fresh and the portions are large.
Good vegetarian option on the street where parliament is located, Thats Byward Market. Veg Burrito bowl with tofu and sweet potato fries in picture
Tasty food, perfect service, fair price. We came back the day after!
The best in vegetarian and vegan dinning
Preferably every day Food was and so was the service! Definitely go even if youre not a vegetarian. Im not either but I could almost become a vegetarian there ! Im a fan
After getting off a long flight, Pure Kitchen was my first stop. The best grilled cheese Ive ever had, and sitting outdoors was so pleasant. The restaurant played an amazing playlist, and the staff was very friendly.
Food has great flavours. Quite pleased! Every time I m back in the area I make sure to come here. Prices are higher than they need to be. Dietary restrictions: Vegan
Food was delicious. I had the crispy chickun sandwich and would order it again. Everyone working was friendly and helpful. A little pricey, but worth it.
Very pleasantly surprised that the menu is entirely plant-based (vegan) despite the sign out front saying vegetarian food, though there are vegetarian options as well. The food was absolutely delicious, the only teeny minus would be that the peanut sauce in the fantastic noodles was a tad too spicy for me and that wasnt indicated anywhere in the menu, but Im just sensitive to that, so its possible that it wouldnt normally be classified as spicy. Besides that everything was perfect. Definitely recommend this place for vegans and vegetarians as well as any meat-eaters whod like to try some plant-based alternatives- they have amazing plant burgers- we had the mushroom walnut burger patty and it was delish:) Vegetarian options: the menu is vegan (plant-based) with vegetarian options
Changed my perspective on vegetarian food. Thank you for creating these wonderful flavours! Please open more franchises on the West Coast. Friendly hosts. Clean facilities.
The food is delicious and the service is great. Wish they had a slightly more varied menu. I can get a veggie burger/sandwich with fries or onion rings everywhere. Their unique bowls and appetizers are what make me keep coming.
Dinner at Pure Kitchen Rideau, Ottawa, Canada. The place has a calm and informal atmosphere that makes you feel very comfortable. Plus, the staff is super friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. I ordered the Iron Warrior to drink, and it is super refreshing and nutritious. Perfect to give you a good boost of energy if you need it. Yes, it is very sweet. I forgot to ask for it without sugar. For lunch, I ordered a gluten-free wrap with a kale salad. The wrap was very delicious, yes, with plenty of sauce. The kale salad, crunchy and well seasoned. Pure Kitchen Rideau is in a great location, close to many shops and attractions in Ottawa, so its the perfect place for a quick and healthy meal while you explore the city. For food, it doesnt have several options according to my preferences, but I would return for its smoothies. Vegetarian options: All vegan options
Needs more options! Their menu is smaller than some food trucks ive been too
I really like the cashew cheese on my Belle poutine order. Most of all I like the reset juices. Healthy and fresh juices that you can feel working. This location has outdoor/patio seating for nice and sunny weather days and wheelchair accessible for indoor seating. Pure Kitchen makes gluten free foods tasty, its insane!
Great for vegetarian/vegan food. Decent portion sizes
Was a really nice place. Sat outdoors on a beautiful day and the vibe was good. The chips and guacamole were amazing. The chick un sandwhich was good too, as well as the salad that came with it. The service was great as well.
Liberty wrap with transformed salad is my go to meal there. Their cauliflower wings are so good too.
The food was great! Had the food on July 1st, which was a pretty busy day for the restaurant. Friendly staff. The Heal cold pressure juice was great! The Mystical Bowl and Awesome burger were very tasty! Would recommend.
5 stars! Simply awesome, friendly staff and delicious food! Cant wait to be back
I love this place. What really makes it special are the people who work there. It has a great vibe. Nice!
Lovely lovely staff and the yummiest kale salad that I ve ever had. Kale can be an effort and I just wanted more and more of this salad. Perhaps a little on the pricey side but it s central Ottawa in Byward Market do I d expect prices to be a little elevated perhaps. Great experience all round.
Went here for dinner with my girlfriend that staff are very polite and everything came out super fast and very tasty. I do find prices to be quite high for the style of food and if you compare to similar spots but that doesn t take away from how good the atmosphere and everything was
Great location, i had the cup cake and poutine, they were ok.
Highly recommended. They really know how to get flavour into their veggies! Good value for money and friendly staff. Place could be a little cozier then it would be perfect.
I got the kale caesar and the tacos with broccoli. The kale caesar was excellent!!! the tacos could have used a bit more substance like some lettuce or shredded carrots. seemed like there wasn t much there - even tho the flavour was good! amazing vegan options!!! would recommend!
Pathetic services very Unfriendly staff made us wait for more than half an hour, and they didn t put our food and no apologies were made, showing attitude instead admitting that they forgot about our order. They didn t even care she was serving very nice to white people, but I think she had a problem with brown skin.
I have been in town 2 weeks and have ate here 4 times, its is so fresh and delicious. The fantastic noodle bowl and cauliflower wings are the BEST!! On my 3rd visit it was later in the day, every empty table was dirty which is why I m giving atmosphere a 4.
Best broccoli Ive ever had. The cashew cream added to it was the chefs kiss. Patio was nice too -- especially for eating broccoli. Dont listen to FancyFrankys review -- she doesnt understand the art of gourmet charred broccoli (ugh, rude). Id give it a 10/10. Someone get this restaurant some more broccoli -- theyre making wonders. For the Fantastic Noodles, they were a hard 4/10. I wouldnt call them Fantastic Noodles. Id call them Alright Noodles -- edible, and fun because its noodles, but its missing the gourmet broccoli, and missing gourmet anything in general. Kale Caesar was a 7.4/10 - 8.0/10. The added charred broccoli and the delicious Timbit falafels brings it up to an 8. Everything was vegan so you know no animals were having a bad time because of this meal (especially this happy animal). 9/10, dont get their veggie burger or the dramatic noodles. I recommend asking your server for recommendations. Delicious drinks too (we chose non-alcoholic ones). Paired nicely with the Fantastic Broccoli.
I ordered the ignite bibimbap. Wow, what a flavourful dish. Totally worth it. Got the peanut butter cookie for desert. Next time Im in Ottawa, Ill be coming back to that restaurant. Vegetarian options: Whole food, full of flavors. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free options
Pure Kitchen is a pretty standup restaurant. The ambience is similar to that of Fresh Restaurant from the GTA, but the menu holds some dishes that are different and delicious. I had the crunchwrap and the poutine, and both dishes were pretty good. The crunchwrap was filled well and was a great portion size. I was confused about the cheese sauce served on the side, which was a bit too thick to feel cheesy, but it worked decently spread onto the crunchwrap. The poutine had a white cheese sauce which was pretty good, as were the fries and gravy. The server was very kind and friendly, and overall we had a great time.
Excellent !!
Holy expensive!! If you re looking to over pay for pretentious juice go right ahead . $15 for a 12oz juice is outlandish Shame on you pure kitchen
Friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. We had delicious food and fresh juices. Vegetarian options: All veggie with some vegan and gluten free options. The food is always good!
Awesome ! The cauliflowers wings are insane and the food is generous !
A paradise for vegetarians! Amazing food! Vegetarian options: A paradise for vegetarians! Amazing food! Food : 5/5 |
I enjoyed a nice flat white coffee with my wife who ate a tasty (or Awesome ) burger with an iced matcha latte. I sat by a window looking out onto a pedestrian street getting warmed by the sun s rays reflecting off of the building across the street. Okay, okay enough rambling. The food was delicious, the service pleasant, and the prices reasonable. I will definitely come back.
Really some of the best vegetarian food in Ottawa! The food is always super tasty and flavourful. Even as a meat eater I enjoy eating here. Their cookies are also to die for, they re soft and chewy which is a nice contrast to the crispy ones you normally have. I also really enjoyed the smoothie, they re not too sweet which is perfect! I highly recommend stopping by to try! Vegetarian options: Entire menu is vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: Vegan and Gluten free options and available and delicious too!
Well its good.
had tried mystical burrito bowl and it was nice.
Really Slow service, literally the slowest service in Ottawa
Kids eat free,!! I am impressed
The cheerful sandwich was not bad, tempeh bacon was very different for me. Servers are not enough.
An utter disappointment. I ordered the noodles and nothing else $30 for a plate of flavourless mush. My dining companion ordered the bibimbap, which was over spicy and overpriced. The food scene in Ottawa being as dismal as it is, we re served this and expected to ooh and aah. Not me.
Another Pure Kitchen! Cool space, nice staff, and a great menu selection, as always. In the market, so parking is extremely limited and mostly paid.
Pure Kitchen will always be a favourite (Liberty Wrap ). The Rideau location is great. Staff seemed uninterested but very fast service. Their prices went up and I felt like the portions were smaller but I don t mind.
Ordered blissful burrito... Came with fries. Burrito was nice but fries were soggy. Food : 3/5
Just stopped in on a Saturday late morning for drinks. I had a cold pressed juice again. They are tasty. I am a big fan of ginger in those drinks.
Havent been to Pure Kitchen for a good 5 years, as I moved away from Ottawa when they only had the Elgin Street location... Really wasnt disappointed again! The food was delicious and the service on point. Definitely will go back everytime Im in the city!
Ive gone here twice for take out. First the staff is so friendly. Tori is an absolute sweetheart, and Izzy as well. This is probably more of a treat your self place since the price point is high but you know you are receiving quality fresh food. Will be going back for sure. They also have a monthly feature which is very intriguing, be sure to check out them out! Vegetarian options: Completely Vegan! (Apparently you can add dairy cheese if you want)
Food is nice but service needs to be improved to a huge extent. Had a very bad experience with service. Totally disappointed. I am giving two stars only because food did taste good.
Delicious menu and very kind and knowledgeable staff!! Will be back
This is Rideau Streets best kept secret, amazing food, amazing staff and ambience. I have been twice so far and highly recommend it!
Extremely slow
Amazing food, friendly service and a go to for great vegan food in Ottawa. Stumbled into this gem. Will be back next time I am in town. The food is super delicious and so healthy.
I called in regards to their menu and the girl that answered the phone seemed annoyed I was asking what what in one of the wraps that I hadn t heard of before. Very unprofessional attitude.
Love this place and what it represents! I come here all the time for the food and the fun monthly feature menu. The kitchen staff looks cool and funky. I like when fun people are making fun food. But someone needs to tell the evening waitresses that being a server is a little bit more than bringing your plate and your bill to the table. They are robotic and unenthusiastic.
10/10 vegan bibimbap, poutine, and Caesar salad at fair prices! Service is prompt and love the clean bright atmosphere as well. It is absolutely worth it to come here for happy hour especially.
I ordered Fantastic Noodle here and it tasted great but it was not worth $26 for it. I would say that plate should not cost more than $20 (including tax). Perhaps this is not an issue with this particular location but more on the franchise. For what its worth, the interior design looked amazing and staff there was really inviting and friendly !
Korean bbq cauliflower wings are FANTASTIC. Everything else was delicious too, plus super friendly service.
Ask for the half and half cauliflower wings, delicious. Also if you are looking for a good catering service, they are amazing. Larissa is the best. Vegetarian options: They do have mainly vegan options. My understanding is that they could have vegetarian options if you call them for a special event. They also have gluten free. Parking: Parking can be challenging as this restaurant is right on the Rideau Street. However you can always ride the LRT, the restaurant is right on the Rideau/ByWard market station.
Pure Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in Ottawa, so I was really happy to hear they opened a new location on Rideau St! I loved this location as much as the other ones. The food is always on point (the Cheerful BLT with fries and transformed salad is my go-to, and the cauliflower wings are a MUST as well) and service is very quick.
By far one of the best Vegan Restaurants I ve been to in my whole life! I ordered the Radical Cauliflower Wings, half and half, where one portion was battered with buffalo hot sauce and the other one was battered with the Korean sauce. The dip in between was ranch which went perfectly well with the dish. The dish definitely was brilliantly delicious. Apart from this, they do even have a wide variety of drinks to offer, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. Definitely a must try restaurant in the city.
I took my father here for supper, as he is vegan. As I non vegan, my expectations were low but I was surprised to have an excellent meal! The Buffalo cauliflower wrap was delicious, the salad fresh and the portions generous. The fries could rival any gastro pub fries. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely return.
This place is great. Rare find in Ottawa.
The food is always good
Best VEGAN FOOD EVER. Period..
Went in during a busy saturday, I was first in line and got ignored by 4 waitresses working on the floor. When a table opened up, the waitress went AROUND me and seated the people. I feel as if it might have been a gender discrimination or as if I got profiled since every person behind me were dressed more nicely. Waited a good 15+ minutes before I walked up to the waitress to ask to get something to go because at this point I felt so disrespected. It s a shame because I have spent hundreds/thousands of dollars here and am a regular. I think I ll be recommending my friends and family elsewhere from now on. Will be telling my food influencer friend group about my experience as well.
Really nice space but food and service were a bit mixed. Food...we wanted to add protein powder in the peanut butter smoothie, which was an option but they were out of the powder. We were there almost right when they opened, which was a little confusing. Smoothie was good either way but thought that was strange. The bibimbap had nice flavors but they completely forgot to include the fried tofu. We had to flag down the waitress and have the kitchen add it to the dish, which was otherwise a glorified salad. Tough to justify $20 for the bowl tbh.
Happy experience with vegetarians options and cool cocktails !
Vegan restaurant that is super good and excellent service!
The meal at Pure Kitchen really filled me up after the Ottawa half-marathon. Thats all I needed. I had the Mystical burrito bowl
Extremely expensive for little food that honnestly, you can just make at home for a fraction of the price. Not worth it.
Wheelchair accessibility: Door is not accessible Food
I love Pure Kitchen, Im not vegetarian but enjoy a good meat alternative every once in a while. My go-to is the Cheerful sandwich, today though it was missing the sprouts and hardly had any lettuce, which was a bit of a let down because I do love when its packed with greenery. It was still delicious though, just would have been nice for them to mention if they were out of sprouts. My biggest need though is for Pure Kitchen to bottle their ketchup, it is sooooooo good!! Service side, as some have mentioned the Rideau location is a bit off compared to the Elgin one. I placed my order to-go, the young guy told me to take a seat anywhere so I sat in front of the bar area. My order arrived but just sat on the counter for a solid 5 minutes before anyone even glanced at it. They werent so slammed that they couldnt call out the order, there were 2 girls behind the counter and they were having a personal chat with a third seated at the bar so could have just paused their convo and gotten the order out.
Grabbed the liberty wrap to go! Highly recommend for healthy options in the area . I didn t stay to dine in but the patio looks great !
Visiting Ottawa for the weekend and this place was amazing in terms of the ambience and their vegetarian food. An absolute 10/10 for the warmth and service of the staff. Each one of them was enjoying working there and that resonates in the warmth they share. Kudos to the staff.
Service is way too slow
Amazing menu
Destiny food and experience. Vegetarian options: The burger was really good. I had the option to order fries or salad, but they told me that I could order half and half. I did get half of the fries and half of the salad. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free
The amount of kale salad was mind-boggling. All the dishes were healthy, a great experience.
Had a wonderful impromptu wedding anniversary meal here. Despite being a bit quiet the atmosphere was still great, the staff were fantastic and most importantly the food was great. Cauliflower wings and Bibimbap were fabulous alongside some really nice drinks (rosé all day at $6 is good value and compliments the food well). Will definitely be popping back for a follow up lunch before we leave Ottawa.
Tried the half and half cauliflower wings. Were really good but I think they were too overhyped which contributed to my rating
The best in byward!
Food was really good
Great vegetarian place! Servers were friendly and service overall was amazing. Definitely recommend! Food
I could spend all day here. Great food, awesome people watching and service was top notch! All vegan yahoo!
Solid deliciousness
Carnivore at a vegetarian/vegan outpost. HATE cauliflower (waste of soil & water making it grow)!! But whatever it is they do to cauliflower there, that alone will bring me back! Food
So so delicious!!!! My partner is vegetarian so when we are together that is what I eat. Cauliflower wrap was amazing. Would definitely be back.
Lunch take out was so good we had to come back for dinner! For lunch we had the Cheerful Sandwich with Kale Caeser Salad. So incredibly fresh and delicious! For dinner we had the Royale Burger ~ (mushroom walnut burger patty, pickles, onions, iceberg, special sauce, nats bun & vegan cheddar) ABSOLUTLY delicious! For dessert we had the Carrot Cake Muffin, (which disappeared before I could get a photo) and the Peanut Butter Cookie. We will definitely return and visit other Pure Kitchen locations when in the area again.
Food was excellent. Liberty wrap is my favourite thing to get. It s price, but it is filling. However, we waited an hour to get our food even though we were the first table to be there for lunch. Very, very disappointed in this.
Im sorry to say it, but the service absolutely sucked. Everything was poor about it, so I dont really know where to begin. Lets just say I had to ask to have our drinks brought to us, even though they were sitting on the counter for 10 minutes and the person who made them kept looking at them and then looking at our table. She refused to walk the three meters to bring them to us - thats just one example of what service was like. The food was just odd. The French fries were coated in cinnamon. Thats correct, cinnamon. There was nothing about that on the menu. I got the bimimbop, but it tasted more like bbq sauce than gojochung paste. Then, the meal cost $100 for two people. Honestly, I would avoid this place.
Beautifully decorated place for amazing vegan food. Super delicious ! A must try in Ottawa.
Eye catching location in the heart of downtown! Beautiful and clean as all locations are. Food was delicious and refreshing. I think they definitely could benefit from a few more staff but other than that a great experience.
2 drinks, 2 sandwiches, and $70 later. The food was cold despite waiting 20 minutes for our order. Both chickun sandwiches were nothing more than crumbs between two buns, no substance at all. Flavorless and disappointing. Weve been to many vegetarian/vegan restaurants throughout the years, and this is by far the worst yet in all aspects. Considering how many food places are around, Id recommend this be your last choice.
Beautiful terrace. Suitable for children (free meal for children). Excellent food. The only downside is the action in the street given the neighborhood (people shouting, drug addicts injecting, etc.) Vegetarian options: Vegetarian restaurant, vegan options Kid-friendliness: Childrens menu, wax crayons
Did not like it at all, got nauseous after eating there cauliflower wings were too sweet and heavy
Ordered delivery via Uber eats. Spent >$70 for 1 person (still left hungry). Items missing. The food that did arrive was amazing but horrendously overpriced.
I came here yesterday with a friend and it was amazing :) Our server was so sweet and the food was delicious!! I swear they have the best iced tea !!
We usually go to the one on Elgin St but were in the area so decided to try the one on Rideau St. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was bright and airy. Food was great as usual. Only qualm was the size of the poutine for $12 - we were surprised at how small it was for the price. All in all, we would still go back. Just not ordering the poutine :)
I am a die hard meet eater but the food here is incredible. Definitely coming back!
Service was unfriendly. Three staff standing around playing with their cell phones and gossiping about celebrity news . Had to repeatedly ask for service . Meal came out quickly and was decent. This restaurant really needs to work on client experience and training so that they care, and are not just earning a paycheque.
I was tired from shopping so I used it for a break
This is my little ones favorite restaurant. The staff are always so kind. And the food is always cooked to perfection. Kid-friendliness: Kids eat Free during the summer with the purchase of an adult entree
I loved everything about it! The food is amazing. You wont miss meat if you just try theire menu. Every waitress we talked to was so friendly. And the vibe of this place is just awesome.
The cauliflower wings were great and are a must have! We got the half and half sauce choices and couldn t decide which one we liked best. The cheerful sandwich was pretty good, too. We appreciated the extensive food and drink options. Overall, we enjoyed our visit!
Excellent healthy eatery in O-town! I recommend trying out their delicious smoothies to pair with a dish
Really close the door... Dont worry about making food. I just sold juice and ran a yoga studio. How did it get ruined like this? The location is so good, but it would be difficult to eat here. Its the salty taste that doesnt go away with water. It looks like the chef doesnt have any bumps on his tongue. Vegetarian options: Its really disgusting. It was the most delicious food Ive ever eaten in the world. really.
Loved the food and ambience both here. Amazing variety ot vegetarian and vegan options available here. They have sandwiches, wraps, burgers, noodles, great appetizers like cauliflower wingers and so much more. And they serve fries and/or salad with your burger and wrap with i think tomato-apple sauce! There was a hint of apple sauce in the ketchup that came with fries. And if it wasn t, then they definitely have a secret recipe for that sauce. Loved it! But they are expensive too. I had lunch bere twice. First time around, I wasn t very hungry and actually took some food home because their quantity of fried with burger is toooo much (and there s only so many fries you can have, right). The second time I was really hungry, so I asked them for a mix of side salad with fries that came with my wrap. I also asked them to add some crispy tofu to my plate for $3. They gave me 3 pieces of tofu. Per small cube of tofu for $1! I was a quite disappointed by that! But i have to say that food is delicious here! So if you want a great sort of gourmet experience, this is the place. But not a regular coz it is so steep in pricing. I have shared pic of my plate with a juice below. Two angles of same plate. The total cost of this meal was $45. So need to keep that in mind. Vegetarian options: All vegetarian and vegan items Dietary restrictions: They customize but are expensive they charged $3 for $3 small cubes of tofu!
Good experience
Very positive surprise. The store is beautifully, attractively and invitingly decorated. The staff was super friendly and nice. We had a fresh smoothie and a cold, freshly squeezed juice and a poutine to share as a small snack. Both drinks were real vitamin bombs and tasted excellent. This was a completely different alternative to other cafes or restaurants. We really like the concept and can highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a healthy alternative in between meals.
Huge portion grate food interesting ambience stones throw from the mc Donalds
The food tastes great, and is pretty consistent compared to the other locations. Everything is really great other than the fights that happen constantly right outside in the otrain station
I want to preface this by saying that I usually like this restaurant and feel bad posting this review. However, after eating at this location, both my friend and I (who ate the same item) are suffering from food poisoning. And I was distressed to find out that after speaking to several other friends, that this seems to be a common trend with Pure Kitchen. I have been been at the mercy of the porcelain gods for the last 48 hours, all for a kale Caesar salad. I ve had to call in for 2 shifts at work over this. I m actively losing money because I have to go to the bathroom every 20 minutes. Please, I implore management to take this seriously and go over food safety with staff. This salad is quickly becoming the most expensive one I ve ever had
The food was incredible. Neither my wife or I, or the couple we were with are vegetarian, which makes no difference. Plenty of choice on the menu. The seasonings and flavors were superb. There was not a dish between the four of us that we did not like, or would not get again on our next visit. The waitress was really nice, and helpful. We will be going back soon!
Great food!
Popular place. The food is delicious, the service is fast and friendly. We had little time for a business lunch. They had time to eat and talk. Thank you!
We always love the food from Pure Kitchen, but we were very disappointed with our Uber Eats order today. It took almost 1.5 hours, the fries and gravy were missing and the rest of the food was cold.
Love this place.
Noisy place spreading music outward for nothing terrasse being closed for winter. Shut those cans off they sound awful.
I ordered online for a pick up. When I got there 5 min after the set time for pick up, that had not even started treating my meal. The manager alleged they were swamped with delivery orders and in-restaurant service. Well there were only 5 clients total in the place. Obviously they prioritize delivery companies over in-person customers. Im so sorry I paid a tip in advance online...
It is a new location amongst many of pure kitchen joints. If I could - I shall negate any rating for them . The food is stale and most items in menu are not available. I ordered fries and it was served stale, cold , soggy and not fit for consuming ( very old). The staff are always rolling their eyes- and hates you to be in the restaurant. They cannot get even a chai latte correct. I recommend closing this new branch and re-open it when you have better trained staff with a kitchen that serves fresh , healthy -vegan food ( I am a vegan all my life and this is one of the worst restaurants I have been to). Rideau street lost a good business location to a bad restaurant! An update to above review: the restaurant never contacted me back despite the review but on same day of my review ensured to add 5 star reviews by others in-order to leverage its rating. Stop ripping off customers with your exorbitant /high prices on menu with starting tip option of 18% for poor quality food ( straight from freezer) and equally poor service.
Beautiful new location with delicious food and excellent service! Loved the wrap I got and the happy hour special was an added bonus. Dessert was to die for!!! Will be back for sure
The new location, staff, service and food were all amazing! Same great Pure Kitchen feel, just in a new part of town. Would recommend!
Nice, vegetarian restaurant. We shared the Bibimbap and had 2 juices. The food was served quickly, tasted good and the ingredients seem fresh. Prices are okay, a bit on the high end Staff was friendly and quick, but not overly engaged. We forgot to take photos
Love the new Pure Kitchen location. Great patio and of course, the staff is welcoming.
Poutine is amazing! So is the cauliflower wings. Cashew based gave my party more options to choose from , great food, amazing service. A little bit too loud but the decor is super cute! Will be back :)
Holy moly awesome restaurant and a great atmosphere the staff was awesome. The food was so good I ate until I was uncomfortable even though I was uncomfortable from overeating awesome food I still ordered dessert and I ate that too and it was awesome as well.
Same great menu in a convenient central location. Service was good but could be a bit more enthusiastic.
Absolutely the best food we ate in Ottawa (so good we went back on our last night too)! The cauliflower wings are probably the best thing I have ever eaten (we went for the half-and-half topping). Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: Its all vegetarian / vegan
Non-compliance with food allergies
Decent place for those who are restricted with their diet. The salads arent worth the price point as they dont include all items mentioned. I ordered a Kale Cesar Salad that stated it would have cabbage and there was one piece included in the entire bowl... If youre hungry, I would choose somewhere else to eat. Yet, I would stay for the juices and smoothies. Those have great flavour and are worth the price.
Had great food and amazing service for dinner last night. Love the new location
Awesome flavours, such unique meal ideas! Loved every bite! This is the bibimbop dish!
Absolutely loooove the cashew cheese poutine - but the service could be improved. I just went and was told to sit on the patio, was given a menu, and after 15min no one had checked on me. I waved at a waitress, she acknowledged me, but still 5min went by with no sign of anyone, so I left. It s too bad, because I really do like that poutine!
Very thoughtful, delicious vegan food! The kale salad was the best Ive had and the burger was scrumptious! The fantastic noodles was special and the carrot cake was lovely and hearty! Gem of a vegan restaurant in downtown Ottawa!
Excellent food! Always fresh.
Friendly and helpful staff...Great vegan food...
I love the new location.Had the cauliflower wings with fries and then carrot cake for dessert. All delicious. The waiter was really friendly. Will definitely be back!
If youre looking for vegan, look no further. The cauliflower wings are an excellent starter.
Friendly staff member and really tasty food with great portions.
This was my second time visiting pure kitchen, last time I visited the Elgin street location and had a really great brunch experience. This time, not so much. In particular, the servers appeared quite disinterested in serving us, and as a result we waited exceptionally long for someone to take our take out order. When our food was finished, it just sat on the counter until we enquired whether it was our food, even though we were sitting just feet away from it. There were more staff than customers in the restaurant, so not sure what the struggle was. The food quality, however, was decent. The flavours in the ignite bowl were good, but I was a bit surprised the cauliflower rice was served cold. The cauliflower wings were really tasty and they got the texture just right. The juices were really good as well. I ll give them a shot again, maybe just an off night.
This is a welcome addition to the vegetarian restaurant scene in Ottawa. There are 4-5 different locations.
A+ service and food + drink menu. Great stop.
Wrap was delicious, I recommend the Korean bbq for the cauliflower! Salad was not the best, basically just mixed greens with seeds and the salad dressing tasted weird.
It was so tasty! On a day trip from Montreal to Ottawa, I entered the restaurant with 0 expectations and ended up being fascinated with the food and the service.
Ill start by saying that I usually love this restaurant, but this was my 1st time at this location as I usually go to Westboro or Elgin street. I always order the same thing and usually its amazing but this time was a definite flop, from the food to the service. I asked for the ranch on the side because I dont like too much sauce in my wraps (usuallythoughthey get it just right). I knew that there was hot sauce in the wrap which I like but this time it was absolutely overflowing, so salty and almost inedible. If I would have seen my server since she dropped the food off I would have mentioned it, but i didnt see her again until she asked me if i wanted a box for leftovers. Usually this restaurant has great service but maybe they need to work on consistency between locations. As I said usually I have an amazing experience but I think I will need to be more clear in the future about not wanting an excess amount of sauce, it was borderline offensive that they put that out and expected someone to eat it, and at $24 (tax incl) for a wrap it was a very disappointing experience.
Great food, great service. The wraps are really good.
Good environment for sharing your time with your friends. You can get vegetarian food.
Friendly faces, incredibly delicious vegan & vegetarian food and clean juices! Absolutely loved this place!
Super pleased with my visit! Husband and I shared the prosperous dip to start - honestly might be the best dip I ve ever had. SO good. For main I had the fantastic noodles which were really good as well. My only negative is that I ordered their lemonade and found it way too tart to drink. Overall I would visit again!
We love this Ottawa chain and find our delicious vegan meals here regularly!
