Only place I eat when Im in Ottawa! Of course, it was the only place to eat when I was in downtown Ottawa

I highly recommend the red pepper, we hadnt been there in a few years (we are not from Ottawa) and decided to stop there today while visiting. the food was excellent, fresh ingredients and cooked perfectly. The owner was super friendly and great with our kids, so were the staff. If you are looking for delicious meal and welcoming atmosphere this is the place 5 stars hands down!

The soup was horrible, service was worst and they add tips on their own to our bill . She write the tips on hand to our bill

Tom Yum soup is Superb, authentic Pad Thai and Curries...Freshly Cook, Hot and Big serving...staff are nice too...

Food is amazing!

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was not a good one. I was staying in a near by Hotel so it was a short walk and easy to find. The sign said open, I entered an empty restaurant with two employees behind the counter. I was not acknowledged, I found my own seat and looked through the menu. I could hear the employees talking but no one came to my table. After being seated for 14 minutes I decided to leave. The staff watch me put on my jacket and walk out.

Delicious Pho. Great service and atmosphere.

Best vietnamese-thai food in town. The food is always delicious. Their Pho likely the best in town and the atmosphere is authenitic and cozy. Rose always greets with a smile and is such a delight every time I come to have my standard chicken Pho.

Tried to go for dinner here last night. Was accosted by a bunch of freedummies out front hanging around in the doorway drunk on my way in. I asked the staff if they were going to call the police or bylaw to clear their doorway of these loons and I was told that the businesses supports The Convoy and that those drunken idiots were friends of the business. Avoid at all costs

Waited and veggie tofu dish $21 flatto others . Only good for one person! So much msg and thirsty drank half literally juice because of this! This dish is worth approx $9.99 or max $12.99 .I know I am in that business. Thats if you want customer return ! At all other places . But you seriously need to review and correct ! Would never recommend you !

The owner was so rude!! She little said kitchen closing soon as soon as we walked in even though it was 40 mins left and when we ordered and said if we want something else will let you know in 5 mins she was rude again and said kitchen closing in 5 mins!!! Will definitely not like to have food in that restaurant ever

The lady at the front was really rude and racist. We reached at 8:20 pm and first thing she mentions was that the place closes at 9 pm and its too late.. she made a face when we requested to see the menu, she clearly did not want to take our order and didnt have the slightest resentment towards her bad attitude.

The low calibre customer service truly astounded a group of us at a farewell lunch today. Not only did we wait 35 minutes for our orders to be taken by a visibly angry server, but the person who organized the lunch was charged $10 a head for attendees that had to cancel at the last minute. The food was average at best. The gentleman who was bussing tables was helpful, but that was the only positive. Do not recommend at all.

Came to Ottawa for the weekend and walked by this lovely restaurant. The Pho, pad Thai and fresh rolls were so good that we came back the next day for more. Highly recommend this Vietnamese restaurant!

I m experienced with Thai food and this place was amazing. Wonderful authentic flavour. The staff was very friendly and custom made some parts of my order for me. 10/10 would recommend.

The food was just fine but the service was really bad! The Vietnamese Korean lady at the front counter was so damn rude! We just asked her to ensure no allergens in the dish when she brought food to the table. She rolled her eyes and responded, I know what I am doing! Wow! She was rude and gave us a hard time when one of the three of us claimed coverage for the bill. 20% tips will automatically add to the bill without customer knowledge. Ripped off! The kid was practicing piano lessons right beside the open room. Of course, we love kids. Our three families were there total twelve persons. Six of them are our children. But we cannot handle listening to a short piano chord lesson repeating over, over and over again! First is also last. Never come back! Not recommend at all!

The food was tasty, but expensive for the portion size. I didnt have to wait long to eat. The quality of the customer service depends on whos attending to you. The atmosphere was fine. I liked the mango salad appetizer the most out of the dishes I ate, but it was also the most overpriced. If I visit again, Ill try other items.

Ordered takeout they waited until the food was supposed to be ready to cancel for no reason. If you can t handle the order don t take it or cancel it prior to a 20 minute wait. Would not recommend ordering takeout/delivery.

Came in on the weekend, while supporting our truckers in Ottawa. Very friendly service, great staff. Had the vegetable pad thai, it was fully of flavour, hot and fresh. Great atmosphere, will definitely return when Im back in Ottawa again.

I travelled in Ottawa lately and i had amazing and wonderful time at red Peppers thai the owners are incredible! Freedom Phó :)

Excellent service, I went there during the truck demonstration. The lady was alone to take the orders and bring them to the table, the restaurant filled with a line and I have never been served so well. The food, yummm a real homemade taste. My child having a tantrum when he came home for milk. She filled her bottle twice for free. Restaurant customers came by the table to pick up their plates. A place to go, you wont regret it.

Great family run Vietnamese restaurant. Staff very friendly and always give generous portions. Very good pho!! During lockdown they donated food to the front line workers even when they had very few customers. Highly recommend dining here or order take-out . Long time customer.

What an awful meal I got from.this place. Ordered for two spent just a little over $50 and we basically threw one entire meal away wilted lettuce, meat salty and bland NOT BBQ as it should looked stew to me. They lose my business

Ordered green curry...might as well called it onion curry..Next to nothing for veggies other then onion and a few bell peppers not even ONE eggplant which is why I love this Thai dish so much..plus it was watery ...not thick coconut milk...First and last time...plus rude staff..

Its a nice little Thai Viet fusion. They have staples like pho, Tom Yung goon, and pad Thai. Good amount of meat in the pho. The broth was really good. They serve liquor of youre interested in pairing your meal with wine. Would return as I work close by.

I dont hate this place but I really dislike whats on the pic I took. To be fair food is tasty and that is true. The pad thai was good. The pho was good. The curry was not bad either. To be fair again.. many places are just as tasty with these types of asian cuisine which I dont understand why they are rated for taste. I know many restaurants that serve asian food of this quality and taste for a much lower price. But I guess this is business district and they need to make a living charging people this price. Tips are based on service.... not on expectation that you serve 4 people and thats it. If so, I expect they clean the noodles off my table every second I drop it on the table. The curry was 15.99 and on top of that you need to add a $2 rice. Which is is pretty crazy. So if you can get good, tasty food elsewhere then why pay for it here?

If there s 4 or more people in a group there s an automatic 18% gratuity. The food is a little more expensive than other thai/viet restaurants i ve come across. If you like your food flavoured and spicy, this place is not for you! I found my food to be pretty basic and bland. The place is beautifully decorated though, it would make a great date spot.

Visiting town, and this place happened to be open. Had a chicken pai Thai with tofu. It was delicious, fresh ingredients, and kind service. Very nice would definitely go back to try more of their menu!

I got the pad Thai with chicken today through the Ritual app and I was very dissatisfied. The noodles were undercooked and the chicken was of poor quality. I will not be returning.

Service was a bit slow for a completely empty Sunday afternoon. Mango salad was okay, and Chicken with Peanut Sauce was good. The prices are definitely too high, especially when compared to the takeout prices. I would only go back to try the quality of their takeout.

Went there with colleagues and it was my first time. Loved my pad thai. Service was good and speed enough to eat and go back to work.

The pho here is very good. The broth is flavourful and they put rare beef on the side so you know its fresh. My sister had the pad Thai and it was equally delicious, we just added some chili sauce for heat because we like it very spicy. Great spot and friendly staff, 100% will be going back.

Really great pad thai!! They had a walk in special for $5, and it was delicious. I think the promotion has ended (sad!), but I would recommend this pad thai to anyone.

Food was very tasty. I really liked the decor. The service was polite, friendly, but the staffs weak English seemed to be a bit of a struggle, causing some hiccups with the service. We still enjoyed our visit and can recommend.

Satay pho was in fact spicy, and not greasy in the slightest. Ingredients seemed fresh as well. Large spring rolls (long, like a cigar shape!). Dining companion found the pad thai a little sweet for his taste. Fast pleasant service at lunch hour downtown. Prices are of course higher than outside downtown, but the decor and service (and food) make up for this.

YUMMMM i found this close to my job downtown and now i go all the time. nice variety of dishes. the rolls are killer. theyve also got an awesome fish.

Went at noon on a weekday and only one server was handling the entire place. He was very polite and tried his best. Would not recommend the food. One dish would be too salty, then some would have no flavour at all. Theres only one dish on the menu that is gluten free so dont go if celiac.

Tired this place out for lunch today and was a little disappointed. The service was good, the selection on the menu broad, but the food was nothing to write home about. I ordered the beef date with vermicelli noodles and left feeling a little hungry and for $15 +tax and tip, a little ripped off. The flavour was nice and not too over spiced with a good spice. My co-workers also held the opinion it was ok, but not great. I will very likely not go back there.

Meh. Went for lunch on a week-day, really fills up from noon to one. Food was just okay, would definitely recommend just walking down to SomTum or just hitting one of the other 50 Asian fusion restaurants in downtown Ottawa.

Asked for extra spicy, and was certainly the spiciest Asian food Ive had in a long time. Would definitely go again

Visiting from the UK, staying in a hotel nearby. We really enjoyed our visit. We had the Pad Thai and a Sweet chilli sauce with beef stir fry, both arrived very quickly and we found very tasty. The price was very reasonable and the waitress friendly.

Staff were efficient and quick. Food was quite average, the Chicken skewers with peanut sauce was quite an odd flavor, and the yellow chicken curry was very blah in flavor.

A little more expensive than Somerset, but the interior is nicer, and the food was good. A nice place for a work or business lunch.

I have tried 6-7 different dish. They are always delicious and full of flavor. The vegetable are perfectly cook. I would eat there everyday if I could afford.
