Parking: Lots of parking. Kid-friendliness: Not bad. Wheelchair accessibility: Not bad, but other parking spaces are quite near.

Cold. Not the food but the restaurant. Plus a hidden 3% fee. They call it an honest to goodness fee but is the most dishonest fee. Not sure its even legal. I will never be back.

Had the surf and turf. Steak was tender and cooked perfect. A great deal for lobster too :)

We took our whole hockey team here during a tournament. We had 35+ people. Everyone was super happy with the service. Emma was our waitress and she was amazing! The kids food was brought out first, and anything that got missed ( a huge group, that always happens) got corrected immediately. Highly suggest it! Great job Emma! I know it was super stressful but you crushed it!

Both are steaks were way over cooked and that %3 bs tax they add on the bill is enough to make me never go back the only saving grace was we had a great server And the bill was $110 for two people and we both drank water Food

We brought a team from a hockey tournament and totally understanding that it takes a long time to serve a team and parents but 90 minutes is a little much and when politely asked we were told they are making it . Hate writing this so trying to be kind but to be fair it is probably great normally and the staff is very friendly but if you have a large group or are at a tournament you may want to pass on the Chucks in Owen sound..

Came here last night for dinner with a friend. The top sirloin (rare) was done to perfection. The food was delicious and the waiter comically friendly. Loved the experience.

Food tasted ok. Portions were small but likewise prices were very reasonable. Chicken wings were delicious. Fish and chips were very bland and didnt taste fresh. Tartar sauce had a weird twist to it they added some ingredient so it tasted like blue cheese. Steak was good and buttered corn was very delicious. Dessert was overly sweet. The server kept talking over me, was trying to be funny but comes across as rude. Service was efficient though. Place is nice and clean. I had a little stomach upset, may be because the fish was too dry. Kid-friendliness: There were a few kids with the families and they were enjoying.

Nov 1: our original review was 1 start, we came 2 times more, and we must say, we saw a positive improvement. We really enjoyed our meals, and we have 0 complaints! We are happy we got to change this review!! Sep 6, 2024 First time here, we order filet mignon + lobster and top sirloin + lobster. They got our order wrong twice, the second time we decided to take it regardless. The steak was cold and not how we ordered. The lobster tasted very odd, like if it is going to go bad very soon. They didn t charge us even though we insisted in paying for our order. We left disappointed and we are not coming back.

Nice roadhouse kinda place . Food was good and staff very nice and pleasant . Good place to watch some sports on a really big TV and perhaps have a beverage or two . There is a separate bar and dining area but really its only divided by a half wall so bit noisy but fun . ***My only complaint is the extra 3% tax added to your bill called An Honest To Goodness FEE .The HST is on top of that . Apparently its so prices can be kept lower ( debatable but sure ) Feel a bit uncomfortable about this concept but now I can chose if I want to go back based on this idea . ***

Absolutely horrible service. Was there for well over an hour and have little to no service. Our server Het was no where to be found the whole time. But then stood behind the bar staring at our table the whole time. Has to ask to order more drinks, had to ask for a box, had to ask for the bill. Only ordered a starter and the food was awful.Waste of time. Waste of money.

Came here on a sunday, waited 10 minutes at the door for someone to seat us, when we were seated, we waited 10 minutes and no server had came, so we asked the bar tender if our server was coming anytime soon, he said yes. Waited another 20 minutes and no server. We finally orderd mozza sticks and they came out cold. Did not have a server the whole time, we had to ask twice to order our food. Very disappointed of the service. Still sitting 15 minutes with dirty dishes not one has come by

Chuck roadhouse is great!! Best ever stake. I asked the waiter to give the tip of 50$ to the chef, i hope the waiter gave it to chef. I saw the chef he is with curly hairs.

Took my team from work out for lunch and had a great time. Shayna was awesome! The food came out quick and tasty so the kitchen was awesome too. Wasn t helpful that they don t do reservations - makes it easier for organizing big groups - the management and/or owner should reconsider that policy. The 3% honest to goodness fee should be more upfront - was a surprise when I got the bill.

One of the best chucks I have ate at and the steak and lobster was immaculate . Service was kind very fast thanks to parth and heent very good bartenders Service with a smile.shout out to Robin the chef would definitely come back again very happy

Been to chicks in Owen sound twice now since it opened. Food and service are great but if you re going with other people and intend to have a conversation this is not the place to go to do that. Poorly laid out dining area projects vey loud noise throughout the restaurant. Making it almost impossible to hear the server or talk to your group you came to dine with. Additional partitions between the bar side and the dining area are needed to reduce noise in the restaurant.

First visit was good second was great .. but this third Time was horrible! It s like the owners decided to only have two waitresses and yet think they maintain the same income as the previous weeks with less staff. Very very obvious the two girls were stressed to the nines started out great here but going down hill sooner than expected. We normally spend about $150 between us for one drink and never returned for a refill, bill was brought to us 20 minutes after the food arrived as waitress said she was leaving half our later she was still there yet we were waiting for our take out container and the bill one bill for $27 and other for $40 very dissatisfied with how Management is already reducing staff to keep profits up. Felt so bad for the two girls waitressing.. atmosphere usually great, tensions were to high and you can feel it and hear it in their voices..was not even packed but only two staff on the floor but truly was a brutal experience THIS time

It was our first time and we had a great experience. Food was delicious and hot. I had the surf and turf and hubby had the New York 10 oz. Portions are perfect. We had the butter toffee bread pudding and the buckaroo for dessert. The Buckaroo is big enough for 2 . Need I say more we will be back for sure. Great experience

Ordered coffee to start. Luke warm. Got attention of a server who brought new coffee which was also luke warm at best. Got our order which included fries which were cold by halfway through our meal. Hamburg was average, montreal smoked meat was good but plain. Server said she would tell manager about coffee but we were still charged for it. Thanks but no thanks on future visits.

New location, we had low expectations. They were meet. What in the hell is the honest to goodness fee of 3%. Dipping sauce dishes only half filled. And charged for more.

Food was okay. Service was slow, my friend and I both sat with empty refills for quite some time and it took asking three different staff members to get us refills. Overall not impressed.

We arrived to an unwelcoming hostess but thanks to Shayla we are giving a 5 star. She turned our experience around very quickly. Great food and excellent service by Shayla. Thank you

This place is wicked, the drinks are cold and the food is great

Will not be returning to this chain. Had three servers in the course of a forty-five minute visit. Their version of poutine is a side of gravy with fries that have grated processed cheese sparingly sprinkled on them, all for $8.99 plus their unadvertised 3% Happy Go Lucky Tax that they add to help keep their prices low . Speed of food was wicked fast, likely due to the use of just a microwave and deep fryer in the kitchen. Patio was closed because although it was sunny and 15° outside, the servers didn t want to get cold. This place will be entirely fantastic for people with the low end of mediocre taste and expectations of complete sadness. Bless all those family members of the staff who have been leaving five star reviews, I suspect they just need them to a on their couches.

Stopped in for lunch today with the family, treated myself to the 20 oz porterhouse, shouldnt have but Im glad I did... Cooked perfectly. Everybody enjoyed their meals. Great value. Fast courteous service. Our server Emma was fantastic. Definitely a do again.

Came into chucks this weekend and had an amazing experience thanks to shailynn. She was incredible! Fast, perfect service. Food was mediocre but will be back to be served by shailynn!

Very disappointed with my meal. Explained to waitress the issues, she said she would tell the management. When she came back with the bill, I asked what Managements reaction was. She said she did not tell them. She then went back to explain the problem and said their response was oh well. The most frustrating part is that management did not care that the meal was terrible. I was not looking for compensation, just an apology!!! Will not be back any time soon!

Took my two daughters to the Owen Sound location on October 2 for a birthday celebration. Our server ( Ian ) was fantastic, food was very tasty and the prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend this restaurant, can t wait to return for another meal

Eh, the food is decent but nothing special, its cheap though. Some of the items are better than others. The fries were not good.

Stopped in quick lunch going through town. Great service, food was ok, had better had worse. Have ate at a few Chucks prior. No real complaints.

First time being there. Was a Sun @7pm. Party of 7. Our server was NANA!! He was amazing. Quick extremely polite and friendly. The food was delicious well prepared and serving sizes are perfect! From drinks to desserts we were all pleased and satisfied customers. We definitely will be going back. And of course I will be requesting NANA again as our server.

Went here for the first time over the weekend. We had Nana as our server. They took our group of 7 without any issues. Nana was extremely polite and consistently kept up with our table. Food was very good all of us were happy with our meals. Prices were good. Will definitely be going again.

We went to Chucks last Saturday, had a great time. The view of Owen Sound is great as the suns going down. Food was very good and the prices are great. Love the half price apps after 9. Our server was Leah, she was looking over a few tables but always had time to check in on us. She was a delight to have serving us. We will be back!

Had a great little date night. Service was quick, our server Rusty was attentive and so friendly! Calamari was delicious and we both had the Chuck burger and it was so good! Great price too! Will definitely come back soon! Definitely recommend!

This is a great addition to the area. Their food was really good at their other locations. This location is great and we can eat the steaks and their chicken wings is really good. You can go wrong if you want a really good steak. It s a pub and steak place. You can t go wrong here.

Food was so dry I had to wash it down with water. First and last time I will be going there.

Worst server ever waited 10 minutes for sour cream and then got charged extra for it Didn t get what we ordered but still tried to charge us for that as well, and not once did the waitress come back to check on things at the table, was going to add dessert but couldn t get out fast enough Won t be back anytime soon

First time coming here, it was very busy but food and service was great and quick.

Chucks nachos were not good and spinach dip cheese goat was really without flavor just a normal deep. Service was Ok ok but not really enjoyed as expected of Chucks Frenchie. Atmosphere was 2/5 bcz not any excitement was happening and people were not really enjoying the atmosphere.

Very busy, lots of staff that were wonderful just was very disappointed in quality of food, coffee was cold not even lukewarm and dessert was cold as well and had a hard time cutting it even with a steak knife. Will try again but will not order the fish and chips

Dont mind the 1 star review. Clearly they dont understand how openings work. Give it time let the new staff be trained properly. All other chuck locations are fantastic.

Stopped in to check out the new spot in town for a drink and a snack: great atmosphere, good deals, friendly staff. Shayla behind the bar took great care of us. Definitely will be back for a full meal.

Had take out, ordered the Baked Chicken Parmesan Pasta and the Chopper Cheesecake. Both were delicious and I got 4 meals out of my order which makes the prices very reasonable. However, I was charged an Honest to Goodness fee of 3%, of which I was told it helps keep their prices down. I didnt like that and not sure if I will come back based on that fee. If the restaurant needs to put up their prices, then do it, dont charge a fee as stupid as this is.

Great price $25 for 7oz Steak & Lobster Tail. The steak and lobster were good, just needed a little more flavour. You cant beat the price, great experience overall.

We have been to Chuck s here in Owen Sound twice since it opened and have enjoyed the quality and presentation of the food both times. The service was great and the staff very friendly. Shailyn and Nishith provided us with great service! .both were very attentive, friendly and professional. We will definitely be back to Chuck s Roadhouse in Owen Sound. The only reason for 4 star on atmosphere is the restaurant is very open so really noisy when lots of people there, which would be difficult for people with any hearing impairment.

4 of us sat down for a meal. prices were good but remember you will always get what you pay for. 3 of us had drinks Margaritas which for the 3 of us were just terrible. They had a bad after taste to them and the smallest plastic cups ever. One of us had a salad which was fine, I had calamari which could of been at least warm and also steak bites. They tasted weird, they were well done but they also had a rare taste to them like they were juicey with a blood and a saw dust texture to the. The sweet potato fries were very thin and short with no taste to them. It was very busy, high celing which made it very noisy. Grandson enjoyed his burger

I was a bit disappointed with the kitchen when they managed to get the doneness of a steak wrong- twice. I ordered medium rare and when the steak came out the server asked us to cut the steak in front of her just to be sure it was done properly. Low and behold my medium rare was well done. Not sure if the kitchen staff thought I was a joke sending it back because the second steak to come out was cooked AND labeled rare (not the doneness I originally asked for, but I d rather it moo than be leather). By the time I got my replacement steak the first time I had already finished my mashed potatoes and corn so I didn t even bother sending the rare steak back since I wanted to eat what I paid for. No comp on the bill or anything, but I didn t expect that so I m not going to fret over it. Overall the kitchen seems to be a bit disorganized on their timing and plating, but I ll be sure to come back when they ve had more time to learn and get comfortable with the busy environment in the back.

Ordered our meals, ribeye supposed to be medium rare, came out with a medium stick on it, not noticed by the food runner. Cut in and it was medium well at best. Took many minutes to get the waitress to come over (who never came over to ask how were the first few bites . She immediately knew it was not right just by looking at my plate. Came back 10 min later with a new steak. This time it said medium rare. Cut into it, barely pink at all. She came back 10 min later and asked how it was. Showed her it was not medium rare but by this point, too hungry to send it back. While I understand it s a new establishment, there were enough managers/owners standing around that quality control should be better. And not one of them came over to apologize or make it right. Won t make that mistake again. We also asked for a different sauce n our chicken because of allergies, well that was also a fail. Dietary restrictions: If you are coeliac, don t eat here!

Thought we would stop in and try. Food was good, prices as well. Steak was well even though asked for medium but tasted good anyway didnt send back as was in a hurry. Service was good. Atmosphere inviting and fun, found a little small. We will definitely be back.

The service was awesome! Quick and efficient. The food came out very fast. However, you can tell a lot of it comes frozen and the taste isn t necessarily the best. But that s how any chucks Ive been to is, so it does not reflect poorly on them. The chicken parm, you can especially tell is frozen as the chicken tastes like chicken from a frozen tv dinner. The restaurant itself has a HUGE echo. So when it gets busy, I imagine it could get very loud. All in all, a fairly on par experience at any chucks, just with better service than most!!

Amazing service, Peter and Het are the most hard working servers/bartenders and provided some of the best service I have ever had. I recommend this place to everyone, the service is amazing.

Came in for a quick bit to eat. The place was very busy but I was able to get a seat at the bar. I got mozza sticks and a beverage. The sticks came out quickly and were delish. The bartenders were amazing, quick with the service and very personable. Everything was above expectation and you can t beat the prices. This is definitely the new hot spot in town.
